Abstract

Early-age marriage. Kutalimbaru sub-district Deli Serdang district is one of the sub-districts in North Sumatra with a fairly high number of early marriages, based on information from the village government and the community, early marriage continues to increase from year to year, in 2020 the number of early marriages in Kutalimbaru District Deli Serdang Regency reached 41.34%. The factors that cause the high number of early marriages in Kutalimbaru District include media factors, the average parent in Kutalimbaru District cannot use smartphones, The low level of education in using media for most parents causes them to be unable to assist their children to use technology. according to age. Parents also do not supervise the education and socialization of children. Economic factors are also one of the causes of early marriage, marriage is the main solution, especially for young women to continue their life stage and no longer be a burden on the family. North to be able to actualize the Generation Planning (GenRe) program which is one of the population control programs with the target of teenagers to prepare family life for teenagers and this program invites teenagers to avoid early marriage and premarital sex.

Abstract

Domestic violence is not only physical, but psychological and sexual which can happen continuously. Threats with weapons and death are the biggest risks that can arise if domestic violence is not stopped. Violence against children in the family by their own parents is basically a crime even though the motivation is right. This service aims to find out what forms of violence are experienced by children as victims of domestic violence (DRT) and how are forms of legal protection for children as victims of domestic violence in Bandar Khalipah Village, Dusun XI Kec. Precut Sei Tuan Kab. Deli Serdang. This community service activity is a form of implementation of the collaboration between the Medan Area University and Bandar Khalipah Village, Dusun XI Kec. Precut Sei Tuan Kab. Deli Serdang. This Community Service is carried out for 3 days starting on 09, 10 and 11 November 2021, 14.00 - Finish which consists of planning, preparing and implementing service activities. The conclusion that can be drawn from this activity is the need for special attention to institutions in charge of protecting children such as LPKA, LPAS and LPKS institutions and providing socialization of laws and regulations relating to child protection to all levels of society.

Abstract

Efforts to increase the income of the PKK KWT group in Sei Rotan village are carried out by the Tridarma activity of higher education. The objectives of the service activities include increasing efforts to maximize house yard land management efforts by cultivating horticultural plants in the yard, and increasing the knowledge, understanding and skills of the community on hydrophonic plant cultivation techniques in the PKK KWT group community, Sei Rattan Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, and to improve community income which is classified as fitting to meet daily life, the implementation method applied is by conducting training and mentoring, in the training activities training is carried out: Hydrophonic Cultivation Training vertically and horizontally, Technical culture training for HEALTHY Horticulture plants through hydrophonic seeds, while in Mentoring: Guidance and Community Development who have started to apply technology, Discussion and Evaluation. the results of the activities based on the transfer of knowledge obtained a statement 60% of the community's responses strongly agree, 30% agree, increasing community knowledge after training obtained very good data 25%, good 60% and good enough 9%, and not good 0% and responses Satisfaction with PKM activities shows the data is very useful 42% and useful 52% and quite useful 2% and 0% which states not useful. The three categories of community responses show that the activities that have been carried out show that it is very important for the community to consider community knowledge and skills that are very useful for improving the quality of these farmer groups.

Abstract

Effective Communication Skills or known as public speaking skills or public speaking are skills that aim to inform messages, persuade or persuade, and entertain the audience at this time become one of the requirements that must be possessed by people in charge of providing services to others This community service is to increase the knowledge and readiness of the members and administrators of the Medan City PKK Mobilization Team to be reliable in carrying out public speaking activities and to increase understanding of communication ethics for the Medan City PKK Mobilizing Team reliable in carrying out public activities speaking / speaking in public. Thus, the quality of the management and members of the PKK team in Medan City in carrying out communication activities to the community can be carried out in a good, ethical and professional manner. There are many benefits that can be obtained by improving Effective Communication and Public Speaking skills, including; increase credibility, improve leadership skills, make it easier to convey ideas and ideas, reach extensive networking and can increase self-capacity in career and when dealing with other people on duty.

Abstract

This public service aims to turn lokal wisdom into a guide, an attitude and behaviour in interacting with nature, as well as transforming lokal wisdom to efforts in sustaining marine life and increasing the catch of traditional fishermen. The steps to achieve these objectives are as follows: (a) conducting socialization of the Tuasan ((Fish Aggregating Device/FAD) as lokal wisdom and the medium of marine life preservation, through short videos screening, (b), holding a training on how to create FAD with the stakeholders of Bagan Kuala Village as facilitators. The output is an increase in the knowledge of traditional fishermen about lokal wisdom related to the fishing process. In addition, several FADs were handed over to the lokal fishermen of Bagan Kuala Village for communal use.Tuasan has become a guidance in the fishing process by some traditional fishermen for such a long time. Its materials consist of coconut fronds, bamboo, sand and rope; this lokal FAD is placed at the seabed as a playground and breeding location for fishes. In addition, tuasan is also used to mark the boundaries of fishing areas. Finally, tuasan as lokal wisdom of traditional fishermen needs to be preserved because it can increase the fish catching volume while it helps the preservation process of marine life

Abstract

Porang (Amorphophallus muelleri), also known as Iles-Iles or Suweg. In its cultivation, porang has a shade tolerance of 60 percent. But without using shade, it can still be cultivated. Farmers in Jambi usually planted porang among old rubber plants without fertilizing. This causes porang tuber production to be at a minimum below its potential. Porang is only produced without treatment, reducing the size of the tubers, and the konjac glucomannan content in tubers is low. Porang tubers are usually made into chips, and chips will crumble easily if the konjac glucomannan is low. Based on this, counseling and mentoring activities will focus on making fertilizer from the waste from palm oil mills. Palm oil mill waste that is most easily transported and easily decomposed is the cake decanter (DC). In the village of Rambahan, it is known as a solid decanter. The village community had heard but did not know that this waste with specific treatments could be used as organic fertilizer. That this waste, with particular treatments, can be used as organic fertilizer. The treatment is by fermentation with local microorganisms (LOM) from cow urine mixed with MOL from snails (RINMAS). Keongmas are pests and are widely found in farmers' fields. Beef and conch urine are used as LOM. After they are made, the two LOMs are mixed with a ratio of 1: 1 and used as a decomposer to ferment the decanter cake plus for two months. After two months, it can be used as organic fertilizer for porang plants. LOM cow urine and LOM snail (RINMAS) are also used as foliar fertilizers. The technology application activities will be carried out in Rambahan Village at the Mekar Kembali KT and KWT Pokja Alamanda. The target for KT Mekar Kembali and KWT Pokja Alamanda is to increase the area of porang plants, which previously were only intercrops, now every KT, there is an increase in the area of porang plants every KT of 0.5 hectares. Once, farmers and KWT did not know how to make solid and liquid fertilizers. After counseling and DEMPLOT, they could make their fertilizers. Every two months, the farmers produce 100 kg of solid fertilizer decanter cake, urine MOL, and Keongmas MOL as 100 liters of liquid fertilizer per month.

Abstract

This Community Partnership Program (PKM) generally aims to assist Business Groups in making Serundeng Kepah as a typical Tanjungbalai dish in making this product utilizing marine food or natural resources in Tanjungbalai City. Partners in this PKM are Business Groups in Pantai Burung Village, South Tanjungbalai District, Tanjungbalai City. The problem faced by partner members is the lack of knowledge in managing and utilizing existing natural resources as a product of the Tanjungbalai food development business. The method used to achieve the objectives of this service activity is the method of education, socialization, assistance in product manufacture, and business management on products that have been produced. The results of the activities, an increase in the quality of human resources in knowledge in the management and utilization of local natural resources and business management; Serundeng Kepah Products as Tanjungbalai Specialty Food; and Logo Making, Packaging design and product IPR.

Abstract

Percut Village is a popular tourist destination in Percut Sei Tuan District, drawing visitors from all over the country, particularly on Saturdays and Sundays. There is a culinary tour in this town that serves several varieties of fish meals that guests can choose according to their preferences. Visitors can enjoy the relaxing sea views until they approach the Malaysian border on their way to the gastronomic destination. Visitors will be transported to the gastronomic destination via free fishing boats provided by the café owner. There is also a Fish Auction Place (TPI) in this village, which attracts inhabitants who want to buy fresh fish at a low price compared to other localities. The other issue is that local folks' ability to communicate in order to entice tourists to return is still restricted. Residents' willingness to take advantage of the possibility to make things for sale is still low. Based on the dedication shown, the communication training provided to partners has proven to be very effective in promoting the various types of tourism available in Percut village, as well as the socializing provided to keep the environment clean. However, the Covid 19 epidemic, which is still rampant, has severely harmed partners' culinary businesses and fish auctions.Percut Village has tourism potential, particularly in the fields of marine tourism, beach tourism, and culinary tourism; socialization about tourism communication is very useful for opening culinary tourism visits in Percut Village; residents' understanding of environmental maintenance procedures and healthy homes is still low; and The development of Covid 19 and the imposition of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) had a significant impact on Percut Village's tourism appeal.

Abstract

The Putra Muhammadiyah Orphanage has 49 boys. Where there are 6 children aged 12 sd. 15 year old who was abused by his caregiver. In general, the problems faced by the children of this orphanage are lack of self-confidence and low motivation to learn. The problem experienced by the Muhammadiyah Putra Orphanage is the experience of sexual violence experienced and has not received psychological treatment. The purpose of this service activity is to provide sexual education related to the prevention and handling of sexual harassment to adolescent residents of the Medan Muhammadiyah Putra Orphanage. The method used in this research is the lecture method and the discussion method. Sexual psychoeducation activities are carried out as the first step of the psychological assistance process in the play therapy approach. Based on the results obtained, it can be stated that psychoeducational materials are able to increase adolescent knowledge about aspects of sexuality.

Abstract

A healthy environment is an important concern every year to show our quality of life. The accumulation of waste that becomes public concern really needs to be resolved with various parties, not only from the government, but also the involvement of the community as consumers of the plastic waste producer. This plastic waste damages ecosystems and habitats such as land, sea and air. So that this community service aims to educate the understanding of the dangers of plastic waste and increase the skills of the community regarding how to process plastic waste that has no value but can be processed into handicrafts that provide creative economic value. The results of beautiful handicrafts, of course, in the future can provide prospects for the community to help the economy so as to increase family income and can minimize damage to the environment, both land and air.
