Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon that there are adolescents who have low self-control and high hedonism. It can be seen that students lie to their parents to send money on the grounds of buying necessities on campus when in fact it is for fun and buying things that are not needed and it is difficult to control themselves to carry out a hedonistic lifestyle. Some even expect Bidikmisi scholarships to buy what they want instead of buying necessities for college or shopping for daily food. This study aims to (1) describe the control of students, (2) describe the hedonistic behavior of students, (3) examine the relationship between self-control and hedonistic behavior of students. This research is a type of quantitative research with a correlational descriptive method. The population in this study of 1906 students of the Faculty of Education, Padang State University, enrolled in 2018 with a sample of 295 people. The instrument used in collecting research data was a questionnaire with a choice of answers using a Likert scale model. The analysis used is a descriptive analysis of percentages and uses the Pearson Product Moment technique with the help of the SPSS For Windows 20.0 program. The results of the study revealed that (1) students' self-control was in a low category. (2) students' hedonistic behavior is in the moderate category, and (3) there is a significant negative relationship self-control and student hedonistic behavior. Based on the research findings, it is highly recommended that students increase self-control and carry out positive and productive activities. and avoiding hedonistic behavior.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of interest in entrepreneurship among vocational students. This research aims to describe the entrepreneurial interest of students of SMK N 6 Padang as a whole and by its aspects, namely(1) interest in entrepreneurship, (2) willingness to be involved in entrepreneurial activities, (3) seeing opportunities for entrepreneurship, (4) exploiting the potential for entrepreneurship, (5) courage in facing risks, (6) courage in facing challenges, (7) feeling happy about entrepreneurial activities, and (8) the desire to realize ideals in entrepreneurship. The type of method used is quantitative with a descriptive approach, the population is 274 students of class XII majoring in Culinary, Fashion, and Beauty Design and a sample of 163 people. Data were analyzed using percentage techniques. The research findings show that students' interest in entrepreneurship is in the high category (69.3%) in terms of (1) interest in entrepreneurship, (2) willingness to be involved in entrepreneurial activities, (3) seeing opportunities for entrepreneurship, (4) taking advantage of the potential for entrepreneurship, (5) courage in facing risks, (6) courage in facing challenges, (7) a feeling of pleasure in entrepreneurial activities, and (8) the desire to realize ideals in entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Remaja pertengahan mengalami berbagai gejolak dalam perkembangan emosinya. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan kecerdasan emosional yang tinggi pada remaja agar dapat mengelola emosinya untuk mencapai kesejahteraan hidup. Kepribadian remaja perempuan dan remaja laki-laki yang berbeda dapat mempengaruhi kecerdasan emosionalnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui tingkat kecerdasan emosional remaja di SMAN 1 Kampar Timur; 2) mengetahui tingkat kecerdasan emosional remaja laki-laki dan perempuan di SMAN 1 Kampar Timur; 3) mengetahui perbedaan tingkatan kecerdasan emosional pada remaja laki-laki dan perempuan di SMAN 1 Kampar Timur. Metode penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif komparatif. Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 290 yang dipilih menggunakan teknik propotionate random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu angket kecerdasan emosional dengan 31 item. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif dan teknik independent t-test. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa: 1) kecerdasan emosional remaja secara keseluruhan berada pada kategori sedang dengan presentase 38.6% 2) kecerdasan emosional remaja laki-laki berada pada kategori sedang dengan presentase 37.2% dan pada remaja perempuan berada pada kategori sedang dengan presentase 35.9%; 3) tidak terdapat perbedaan kecerdasan emosional pada remaja pertengahan ditinjau dari jenis kelamin di SMAN 1 Kampar Timur dengan hasil sig=0.078 (sig. > 0.05).

Abstract

Peningkatan subjective well-being sangat penting oleh setiap siswa. Ketika siswa memiliki subjective well-being rendah akan dapat berdampak negatif pada dirinya sendiri dan orang-orang disekitarnya. Fenomena yang terjadi terdapat beberapa siswa yang membandingkan hidup mereka dengan orang lain yang menimbulkan perasaan tidak puas dengan kehidupan, stres, depresi, kecemasan dan penyimpangan perilaku. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi subjective well-being siswa yaitu intensitas penggunaan media sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan subjective well-being siswa dan intensitas penggunaan media sosial TikTok, serta menguji perbedaan subjective well-being siswa pengguna TikTok dengan intensitas tinggi dan rendah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dan komparatif dengan subjek penelitian 77 siswa yang menggunakan TikTok dengan intensitas rendah dan 88 siswa yang menggunakan TikTok dengan intensitas tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen angket yang disusun dengan menggunakan model skala likert. Data diolah dengan teknik statistik deskriptif dan untuk uji perbedaan digunakan rumus uji t. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara subjective well-being siswa pengguna TikTok berdasarkan intensitas penggunaan.

Abstract

Street children are children who are forced to take to the streets due to a number of factors. The situation of street children is sometimes exacerbated by physical, verbal, emotional and sexual violence against children. Violence that occurs in the child's environment often occurs in the form of bullying. Bullying incidents do not only occur in the school environment, but also in the street children's environment. This study aims to analyze the types of bullying experienced by street children in the city of Padang. This research uses a type of qualitative research with a case study method. Sources of data in this study were street children as research subjects, as well as additional information in the form of research informants. Data collection methods used in this study were interviews and observation. The data analysis technique used refers to the interactive analysis model from Miles and Huberman. To test the validity of the data, the technique used is triangulation with sources. The results showed that the types of bullying experienced by street children in the city of Padang, namely direct bullying, in the form of being hit, pushed, tripped over, thrown things, teased, humiliated, humiliated, grabbed, compassed, pulled by his clothes, beaten up, cursed at, and slapped. For this type of indirect bullying, in the form of being expelled from social groups, spreading rumors, being insulted via the internet and being threatened via the internet. It can be concluded that every street child experience different types of bullying.

Abstract

This research is motivated by students who bully at school as a result of excessive self-disclosure on social media. This study aims to: (1) describe self-disclosure on social media, (2) describe student bullying, and (3) examine the relationship of self-disclosure with high school students using social media. The research approach uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational type. The population of the study was students of SMA Negeri 1 Luhak Nan Duo using proportional random sampling technique. Data were collected through self-disclosure questionnaires and student bullying. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics with percentage techniques, and for normality test, linearity test and the relationship between the two variables used statistical analysis with the Pearson Product Moment technique with the help of SPSS version 20.0 for windows. Based on the research, it was found: (1) students 'self-disclosure was in the high category, (2) students' bullying was in the medium category and (3) there was a relationship between self-disclosure and bullying of high school students using social media. The implication in guidance and counseling services is that guidance and counseling teachers provide services to students related to bullying and self-disclosure problems on social media.

Abstract

Komunikasi interpersonal merupakan faktor yang mempengaruhi keharmonisan suami istri dalam rumah tangga. Namun, tidak selalu komunikasi interpersonal antara pasangan suami istri selalu berjalan dengan baik, seringkali akibat komunikasi yang tidak berjalan baik menyebabkan kesalahpahaman bahkan perceraian dalam keluarga. Penelitian ini menguji hubungan komunikasi interpersonal dengan keharmonisan dalam keluarga. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kuantitatif korelasional. Populasi penelitian adalah pasangan suami istri di kecamatan Siulak Mukai, Kabupaten Kerinci dengan teknikĀ penarikan sampel bertujuanĀ (Purposive sampling) sebanyak 70 orang atau 35 pasangan.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara komunikasi interpersonal dengan keharmonisan dalam keluarga.

Abstract

This study aims to develop guidance and counseling modules to improve culture-based counseling communication skills for guidance and counseling students to fulfill the basic ability requirements for communication skills in culture-based counseling that must be mastered, as well as to describe the level of its application by lecturers who take basic courses of counseling communication in units college guidance and counseling services. The research method uses the ADDIE Research and Development model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research was conducted by testing research products in the form of modules and FGDs. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis. The results showed that the culture-based counseling communication skills module was in the very proper category with an average score of 4.80 and an usability test result of 4.33, which means that the designed module product can be used and passed the usability test by experts. Furthermore, the culture-based counseling communication skills module can be used in learning for guidance and counseling students.

Abstract

This research was motivated by a change from direct learning to online learning. This is due to the Covid-19 pandemic that occurred in early 2020. There are students who think that learning Mathematics online is difficult. So that students have negative perceptions about learning Mathematics online. This study aims to describe students' perceptions about learning Mathematics online in terms of the stages before learning, while studying, and after learning. This research uses a descriptive approach with quantitative methods. The population in this study was students of SMA UNP Laboratory Construction for the 2020/2021 academic year, totaling 621 and sample 243 students. The sample selection used simple random sampling technique. The data collection technique used a questionnaire on students' perceptions about learning Mathematics online with a Likert scale model. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques. This research as a whole shows that the students' perceptions about learning Mathematics online at the UNP Laboratory Development High School as a whole are in the quite good category with a percentage of 60%. Furthermore, seen from the aspect of the stages before learning is in the quite good category, namely 65%, Then, seen from the aspects of the stages during learning, it was in the quite good category, namely 60%, and seen from the aspect of the stages after learning is in the quite good category, namely by 66%. The implication of this research can later be used as a consideration of guidance and counseling in the school.
