Abstract

The objectives of the study are : (1) to find ; (2) vocabulary mastery and listening skill. The method used in this study was a correlation study. The population in this study was all the third semester of English Dept. IKIP PGRi Bojonegoro which consisted of two classes. The total number of the students was 84 students. The sample was 42 students taken by cluster random sampling technique. The instrument in collecting the data was questionnaire and tests. The questionnaire was used to collect the data of interesting topic of reading; while the objective tests were used to collect the data of students’ ability in reading comprehension. The techniques which were used to analyze the data were pearson product moment and multiple correlations. The results of this study show that (1) there is a significant correlation between the questionnaire scores’ of interesting topic and the scores of reading test (rx1y = 0.417 > rt is 0.304. The result of this research shows that interesting topic of reading are important variables for students’ ability in reading comprehension.

Abstract

This article aimed at uncovering the skeletal construction of Islam Nusantara or Islam Archipelago in the digital era. More than that, it was trying to offer the concept of Virtual Islam archipelago as part of the cultural broker as well as the social change agents of the kiai-Islamic expert, respected for a noble character-in cyberspace. The various acts of anarchy, in the name of religion (Islam) in the recent world, become the basic focus. The well-mannered face of Islam-guarded, cared for, and grown by salafussholih Wali Songo (the nine revered saints of Islam), ulama, kiai, santri (a student of Islamic boarding school), moderate community-were tarnished by a small part of radical Islam. The design of Islam-which was rahmatan lil'alamin or borrowing the Azzumardi Azra language that Islam with a smiling face-on the contrary, suddenly became grim, cruel, and frightening. In fact, what was displayed by radical Islam was not a real portrait of Islam Archipelago (Indonesia) itself. The radical Islamic arenas exposed in such a way, whether through newspapers, television, social media, and cyberspace-websites, bloggers, twitter, facebook, WhatsApp-were essentially the key to their group's existence. The obvious findings to emerge from this research were three things namely: (1) The skeletal construction of Islam archipelago as a big house of Islam (Indonesia) was practiced through acculturation of local culture and Islam. Among them, through the tradition of pilgrimage of the grave, tahlilan-repeated recitation, wiridan, kenduri-ritual meal (slametan), barzanji-recounting Prophet Muhammad’s life, the Memorial Day of Islam, and silaturrahmi; (2) the new Islamic faces of the Islam archipelago in the virtual world can be formatted through four models, namely: (a) virtual Islam archipelago without identity, (b) Innate energy-based virtual Islam archipelago, (c) virtual community-based Islam archipelago, and (d) NU (Nahdlatul Ulama)-based virtual Islam archipelago ; (3) the repositioning of contemporary ulama as the driving force of Islam archipelago, one of them, was marked by the expost facto of the good activities from kiai (beneficial to the people) in the cyberspace.

Abstract

Riset ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis dua hal, yakni: (1) peranan dewan pendidikan dalam mengembangkan pendidikan Kabupaten Pacitan di era revolusi industri 4.0; (2) konsep pengembangan pendidikan Kabupaten Pacitan di era revolusi industri 4.0. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang bersifat tela’ah pustaka. Yakni, mengkaji peranan dewan pendidikan dalam pengembangan pendidikan di Kabupaten Pacitan di era revolusi industri 4.0 dengan menganalisa data yang telah ada didalam kajian kepustakaan. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa (1) peranan dewan pendidikan dalam mengembangkan pendidikan Kabupaten Pacitan di era revolusi industri 4.0 sangat menentukan arah kebijakan dibidang pendidikan; (2) konsep pengembangan pendidikan Kabupaten Pacitan di era revolusi industri 4.0 dapat memadukan antara pendidikan informal, formal dan non formal secara simultan. Dijalur pendidikan informal dapat melalui penyuluhan dan pelatihan berbagai program keluarga harapan. Kemudian, dijalur pendidikan non formal dan formal dapat dilaksanakan melalui pelbagai pelatihan, workshop, dan lokarya pendidikan

Abstract

The aim of this current research was at revealing whether or not there was a positive influence of Guided Discovery Learning method through the case examples of students' understanding in statistical hypothesis test analysis. It was considered that quantitative research method, with the experimental design using control group design (The Posttest-Only Design with nonequivalent Group), would usefully decide and justify the results. This research was carried out at IAIN Mataram at the students of Islamic Religious Education Department from May to October 2017. In addition, the instrument used to measure students' understanding was the essay problem. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used a correlated pairs test (t-test) through the one-tail test using independent sample t-test. The t-test analysis revealed that 63% of the total students, in the control class, had a low understanding of statistical hypothesis test. Then, 66% of the total students, in the experimental class, were classified as having a high understanding of statistical hypothesis test analysis. The additional justification also rooted from the result of hypothesis testing. Because to (3,255) was higher than tt ((0,05: 72)=1,990). Then, H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected at the significant level α=0,05. It could be inferred that the discovery lesson learning strategy, through case example, had a positive influence on students' understanding in analyzing statistical hypothesis test.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi User Experience untuk melihat pengalaman dari sisi pengguna disaat berinteraksi dengan interface (antarmuka). User Experience merangkum semua aspek emosi pengguna, keyakinan,keinginan, persepsi, respon fisik, psikologi, perilaku dan pencapaian yang terjadi sebelum, saat dan setelah digunakan. Objek dari penelitian ini adalah sistem informasi akademik. penelitian ini menggunakan metode User Experience dengan beberapa variabel penelitian berupa Happiness, Engagement, Adoption, Retention dan Task Success. Teknik pengambilan sample dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sample random sampling yang berjumlah 30 responden. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem informasi akademik secara keseluruhan dinyatakan baik. Sedangkan hasil responden menunjukkan pada aspek Adoption (penerimaan sebuah sistem) mendapatkan penilaian 45,25% dan pada aspek Task Success (keberhasilan pengguna) mendapatkan penilaian 49,43 %. hal tersebut menunjukan bahwa masih banyak pengguna sistem informasi akademik yang kesulitan dalam menggunakannya.

Abstract

This research aimed at (1) finding out the way teachers in internalizing the value of heroism in social studies learning; (2) compilation of IPS learning plan (RPP) for the internalization of heroic values. The population of this research was all school teachers located in Teuku Umar Cluster, Kalijambe Subdistrict, Sragen Regency spread in 7 Elementary Schools. The sampling of this research was census method. The data were collected through a questionnaire in the form of interview, observation and documentation study. Meanwhile, the data was analyzed qualitatively. The findings of the research showed that internalizing the heroic values were conducted by carrying out daily activities that can expose the values of heroism, the preparation of lesson plan (RPP) of IPS for such goals-the heroic values exposure were adapted to the existing curriculum. Moreover, the heroic values ​​were to be internalized through; (1) historical or social studies; (2) Extra-curricular activities like the scouts, 3) the flag ceremony every Monday, (4) Ceremony of the Independence Day, 5) Heroes Commemoration Ceremony, 6) Holding activities to the struggling museum, (7) study to historic place, 8) Providing history books or social studies, (9) hanging the images of the national heroes, (10) students’ discipline habituation; and (11) the list of the students’ violations.

Abstract

This research was aimed at: (1) Identifying prehistoric sites in Pacitan District, (2) Utilizing prehistoric sites in Pacitan District as learning resources, and (3) uncovering learning strategies to improve students' understanding and character through learning resource utilization. It was kind of qualitative research using case study approach. In addition, the data was collected from the literature study, interview, and observation as well as content analysis. The trustworthiness of the research, in terms of validity, was by means of data triangulation. Song Terus and Song Keplek was a prehistoric site located in Pacitan which was the human shelter cave at the time. The traces of the legacy found in Song Terus and Song Keplek were fossils of fauna, flora, and artifacts in the form of tools of prehistoric human life; here is able to be used as a source of historical learning, especially the pre-history courses. The learning strategies, used to enhance students' understanding and characters such as historical awareness, nationalism, and academic skills, could be done through receptive teaching methods, discussions, inquiry, and field trips.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana upaya meningkatkan kreativitas dan produktivitas mahasiswa melalui matakuliah kewirausahaan. Subyek penelitian adalah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan pendidikan matematika, pendidikan sejarah, pendidikan bahasa dan sastra Indonesia, serta pendidikan bahasa Inggris STKIP PGRI Pacitan semester genap tahun akademik 2017/2018. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi produk dan wawancara selanjutnya dilakukan triangulasi teknik dan sumber. Analisa data dilakukan dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat kreativitas dan produktivitas mahasiswa. Untuk menjaga kreativitas dan produktivitas diperlukan kemitraan yang lebih produktif antara perguruan tinggi dengan pemerintah daerah, lembaga swasta, dan masyarakat guna memberikan akses bagi mahasiswa untuk dapat mengembangkan kegiatan ekonomi kreatif dan produktif berdasarkan potensi lokal dan kebutuhan masyarakat. Kemandirian, kreativitas, dan inovasi mahasiswa perlu ditingkatkan melalui pelibatan mereka dalam kegiatan ekonomi produktif secara rutin bersama-sama dengan pelaku UKM dan pelaku usaha yang ada.

Abstract

The problem-solving ability is closely related to the obtainment of the learning end, where problem-solving ability becomes an important basis for measuring the extent to which students absorb theories on the theories being studied. Problem-solving is the application of the theory to find a way out of the faced mathematical problems. Therefore, this research aimed at determining the problem-solving profile owned by the students in linear algebra courses. This classroom action research was carried out from May to July 2017, on the second semester consisting of 30 students in mathematics education program STKIP PGRI Pacitan academic year 2016/2017. The Assessment of the results of problem-solving was tests in each cycle I (first).

Abstract

This research aimed at describing paratext unsure in the work of authors who are members of Forum Lingkar Pena-the book publisher-(FLP) through the paratext and arena of authors in the constellation of modern Indonesian literary. The focus of this research was the symbols and the role of authors incorporated in the FLP. Whereas, its material object was the author of the novels who joined in the Forum Lingkar Pena (FLP). For this research, the qualitative research was employed to explore the results, which is phenomenon-based instead of the numerical data. The technique of data analysis was based on the paratext theory, postmodern, and sociology theory. The results revealed that the front, back, and some additional pages before the core pages are used to include the symbolic capital owned by authors incorporated in the FLP. There exchanges of symbolic capital among authors incorporated in the FLP. The authors were also able to cooperate in the industrial world by providing space in the form of pages in the works for advertising the company's products. The main purpose of it, all so that the works of authors who joined the FLP, was able to increase sales. In addition, the research also revealed that authors incorporated in the FLP have the habit of creating Islamic works that affect the ownership of that social, economic, and symbolic capital which brought the authors to occupy the arena of literature in Indonesian literature; particularly in sub-area of contemporary Islamic literature. The existence of authors incorporated in the FLP had gained the popular legitimacy in Indonesian literary areas.
