Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 200 guru SMA Negeri di Kota Surakarta. Data dijaring melalui angket skala berstruktur. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis melalui analisis SEM dengan menggunakan perangkat AMOS 5.Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa 1) terdapat pengaruh positif orientasi nilai budaya terhadap motivasi kerja yaitu sebesar 20,3%; 2) terdapat pengaruh positif kompensasi terhadap motivasi kerja yaitu sebesar 43,9%; 3) terdapat pengaruh positif pelatihan terhadap motivasi kerja yaitu sebesar 28,1%; 4) terdapat pengaruh positif orientasi nilai budaya terhadap kepuasan kerja yaitu sebesar 19,3%; 5) terdapat pengaruh positif kompensasi terhadap kepuasan kerja yaitu 29,4%; 6) terdapat pengaruh positif pelatihan terhadap kepuasan kerja yaitu sebesar 21,5%; 7) terdapat pengaruh positif motivasi kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja yaitu sebesar 25,4%; 8) terdapat pengaruh positif orientasi nilai budaya terhadap kinerja yaitu sebesar 24,4%; 9) terdapat pengaruh positif kompensasi terhadap kinerja yaitu sebesar 27,1%; 10) terdapat pengaruh positif pelatihan terhadap kinerja yaitu sebesar 20,9%; 11) terdapat pengaruh positif motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja yaitu sebesar 26,3% dan 12) terdapat pengaruh positif kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja yaitu sebesar 20,3%.Kata kunci: orientasi nilai budaya, kompensasi, pelatihan, motivasi, kepuasan, kinerja guru.

Abstract

Rampant corruption occurred recently is essentially  a portrait of the accumulated actions of society in carrying out the activities of daily life. It must be recognized  that  educational institutions , especially the world of schooling also donates seeds of  the corruptive behaviour, manipulative and nepotism in a certain level, primarily in the transfer of knowledge and the transfer of value to the learning process in the classroom cubicles, and schools. The process of awareness against the corruption must be inculcated and struggled for its existence in order that Indonesia will be free from the bondage of the corruption crime soon. Anti- corruption education in high school Pacitan is an alternative solution- to unravel the "culture" of the corruption prevailing in all life lines of the Indonesian people.The research reveals that students and teachers understanding of the corruption is high. It is proved from the 339 respondents, 90.6 % claim to understand and very aware that corruption is a despicable act and against the law. Only 9.4 % do not understand that the corruption includes a criminal behaviour. Meanwhile, a motivation of society to learn the eradication of the corruption is very high, namely 85.3 % of the 252 available respondents, only 14.7 % of them who are not motivated. The awareness of learning the crime and the negative effect of the corruption is quite high.It is proved that 65.8 % of respondent answers are aware and the remaining 44.2 % are not aware of the negative effects of the corruption. Besides, the school society also recognizes that the factor supporting the implementation of anti-corruption education in the school is very high, namely 93.4 %, the rest is only 6.6 % that does not support it. The implementation of anti –corruption curriculum in the high school Pacitan has been generally integrated in the daily life at school. However, the level as well as the intention is still quite low. It is proved from the texts of Islamic Education, Civics and other subjects, there is no specific subject discussing the corruption.Keyword: anti-corruption education, school, and learning society.

Abstract

This research introduced a new teaching strategy that is Children Learning in Science (CLIS) in learning English as foreign language, especially in the students’ writing. CLIS provides logical subject of theory, facts, problem solving, and application by doing an experiment. By learning through science, students can explore their scientific skill in finding the answer of a realistic problem happened. This research is in the form of Classroom Action Research (CAR) that had been conducted into two cycles. The analysis copes with the teacher and students’ activities in the process of teaching learning and the students’ respond. The research method used is descriptive with research design of qualitative. The population of the research is the tenth grade students of MAN 2 Madiun which has 192 students in all. The result of research shows an increasing result on the teacher and students’ activities as well as students’ affective and cognitive score that supported with students’ responses toward CLIS. Key words: metod Children Learning in Science, Classroom Action Research (CAR and teaching strategy.

Abstract

This study aims to describe about some of the following: (1) the material of character education based Islam in social studies learning, (2) the pattern of implementation of character education in the SMP-1 Kedung Banteng, (3) unification of the Islamic faith-based character education in social studies learning and (4) the effect of the implementation of character education  based Islamic in social studies learning. Methods of data collection was done by using interviews, documentation, and interviews. Methods of data analysis done with descriptive qualitative approach. Withdrawal of a conclusion based on the results of the analysis and discussion with respect to the themes underlying problems or things that are more substantive. Based on the discussion of the results obtained some conclusions as follows: (1)  teaching materials relevant to the Islamic-based character education, and need to be taught to students, at least include a few subjects, namely: (a) the nature of man as a creature of God, (b ) devotion and respect for parents, (c) respect for others, (d) behave in manners, (e) helping each other with each other, (f) exemplary, (g) of academic honesty and non-academic, (h) responsibility, (i) justice, (j) spirit of patriotism, leadership, integrity of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia, and the Pancasila, and (k) the character of a religious nation, (2) the pattern of the implementation of character education in schools be integrated between intracurricular and extracurricular activities. And the role of principal is very important, (3) of Unification-based implementation of character education based of Islamic religion in the teaching of Social Science in school SMPN-1 Kedung Banteng  showed that all respondents (principals, teachers, staff, and administrators OSIS) states have a positive and highly important, and need to be incorporated into the curriculum, and (4) Implementation  Character Education based Islamic religion in the learning process in the IPS to the character students of SMP-1 Kedung Banteng has a positive and significant influence. Keywords: Character Education, Religion Islam, IPS Learning.

Abstract

Period of Abbasiyah was golden age in Islam. At that time, Moslem has an elevated intellectual tradition. This tradition can be seen from the existence of personal  and public libraries, the conducive atmosphere for discussion, high motivation in studying,  and need for achievement. The intellectual tradition is not only in Islamic studies, but also in social sciences, natural sciences and humanities.Bayt al-Hikmah was library that was build by the khalifah Abbasiyah which has a multifunction. It was not merely for reading, but it also functions as publication, translation, observatory, and for discussion. The Bayt al-Hikmah played an significant role in creating intellectual atmosphere. These brought Abbasiyah into golden age.This article analyses intellectual tradition in Abbasiyah. The objective of the analyses awakens our awareness of intellectual tradition, because it will lead our nation into a better future.  Creating such condition requires the involvement of each component of this nation.

Abstract

There are two points in this research. First, there are lot of violence phenomena and the strained situation between the members of religious community in the society recently. Second, it has not found the way to solve the conflicts which is relevant to the Indonesians character. Related to the problems, the results of this study show that; 1) through multicultural teaching and learning method, the unique of human beings, such as the differences of religion or belief, race, culture, sex, physical aspects and peoples’ economic status can be placed on the same level.2) the multicultural educational concept of education in three centers of education by Ki Hajar Dewantara as one of the alternative application methods.  Trough familial education, the parents teach their children for understanding the importance of having equal right among the ones who have different ethnic group, race, religion, belief, culture, social strata, and humanism values. At school, the teachers and academic staffs can teach the multicultural values of education which are systematic, academic, and controlled. In the society, the citizen or the members of the society can implement the feeling of awareness in the real life, related to the importance of seeing the differences of people without differencing the religion, belief, culture, sex, physical aspects and peoples’ social status.Key words: Multicultural education, three centers of education, Ki Hadjar Dewantoro and James Banks.

Abstract

Naturally, students motivation is one of the success determinant of the learning process in the world of schooling . Therefore, the teachers are required to be more creative to keep students’ motivation in participating the learning. Cooperative learning model is one of the various existing model of the learning methods. The results showed that students learning motivation depends on the method of learning carried out by the teacher in the classroom. Practically, variety of learning methods becomes urgent to carry out, so that the learning success is achieved.Keyword: learning method, cooperative, and students’ achievement.

Abstract

As a part of the culture, folklore is important to be documented and studied. The folklore of south coast Pacitan, is still prevalent nowadays. Although it is not all documented, an effort of the research has to be conducted. Beside as an effort of conserving it, the research is also very important to reveal another side of the story. Based on the reason, the study is conducted to reveal the mindset as well as the culture system of the past society reflected in folklore.This study uses the theory of narrative structure of Levi s Strauss . The method used is a qualitative method approach using anthropology. The data used comes from the 14 folklores taken from the South Coast of  Pacitan region. Based on the result of the analysis, it can be concluded that the mindset of the past society can be separated into (1) the social status way, (2) migration way, and (3) the way of techno-economy. While, the life views of the past society in the south coast of Pacitan region are (1) complying the rule, (2) nature as the source of life, and (3 ) Peace of life is very desirable dream.Keywords: folklore, mindset, culture system, and literary anthropology.

Abstract

This research aims at revealing a clear depiction of figurative language, literature psychology and educational values of Novel Small Letters to God, Davonar Agnes’ work. It is kind of descriptive qualitative research method. And the source of data is by using Novel Small Letters to God, of Davonar Agnes’ work. The data which is used is the result of the researched annotation in the form of sentences containing figurative language and educational values of Novel Small Letters to God. Furthermore, the data collection was carried out by using literature technique or document. The analysis activity is begun from data reduction that allows the researcher to discharge and enter the useful data as well as triangulation which allows researcher to acquire the validity of the data. Thus, the reduced data as well as triangulation will provide a clear depiction and facilitate researchers for  collecting the further data. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that Novel Small Letters To God has psychology, figurative language and educational values. Novel Small Letters To God, of Agnes Davonar’s work is found to have id, ego and super-ego. This novel uses figurative language as follows: hyperbole, personification, climax, irony, antithesis, satire, litotes, anastrophe, paronomasia, periphrasis, paralipsis, apostrophe, and contains the educational values, including religious, moral, and social value. Key word : Novel, Figurative Language, Psychology, and Educational Values

Abstract

The concern of the paper is the bilingual education conducted at SMP Negeri I Bojonegoro. The study attempts to investigate and to find out the research problems dealing with the influence of bilingual education on students’ speaking English competence, communicative environment motivating students to have awareness to speak in English, bilingual methodology in the classrooms, and the impediments encountered by the teachers and students in employing bilingual learning. The research design of the study is descriptive qualitative using triangulation technique in collecting the required data. The population is seventh and eighth graders students of SMPN 1 Bojonegoro in the academic year of 2013/2014. Meanwhile, the theoretical samples of the study are taken based on the use of bilingual across subject contents (sciences and mathematics) at year VII A and VIII A. The result of the study shows that the program raises the students’ and teachers’ awareness in bilingual education as it is used in specific contents subject. It consequently enhances the motivation for foreign language learning.Keywords: Bilingual Education, Communicative Competence.
