Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that influence student learning independence during the blended learning process.The research method used is qualitative. The research data is in the form of statements or spoken words from people and observed behavior into a description of the factors that influence student learning independence in blended learning.The results of the study found that the factors that influence student learning problems in blended learning learning are (1) motivation, low student motivation results in them not being confident in answering the questions given, students trust their friends more than their own answers (2 ) Goals, students who do not have goals in learning will tend to be lazy in learning because they have no goals in the lesson, if students have goals then they will be enthusiastic about learning, because they understand very well the knowledge they will get during the learning process and (3) Parents' attention, students who rarely get attention from their parents, are more likely to be unenthusiastic in learning, not disciplined in learning and irresponsible in learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discuss the accuracy of feedback assessments on student learning outcomes cognitively, especially in carrying out formative tests during online learning.The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The research was conducted for 8 weeks at a private junior high school located in the city of Tangerang, in the July-August 2021 range. The research instruments used were observation and documentation sheets which had been validated by 3 lecturers who handled the field experience program being carried out. At the observation stage, it is shown how the teacher provides feedback on students' formative tests. From the results of these observations, the researcher then carried out formative tests and provided feedback which was arranged in detail according to the mistakes made by each student. After that, researchers compared it to student learning outcomes. Furthermore, it is documented and presented in the form of pictures.The results of the study found that providing accurate feedback is very important to improve learning outcomes, especially the cognitive domain of students in working on formative tests. This is reflected in the accuracy of providing student assessment feedback through the work of student formative tests. Through this research, students' cognitive learning outcomes can be increased by providing teacher feedback. The conclusion of this study is that teachers need to consider the quality of the descriptive words used in providing feedback.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the virtues of making a blended learning model in improving students' civic skills in the Citizenship Education course.The research method used is a combination method (Mixed Methods). The data collection techniques used were direct observation, direct communication, and direct follow-up communication strategies along with data collection instruments such as observation guides, interview guides, and questionnaires. Qualitative data analysis developed by Miles and Huberman is used in this study.The results showed that the implementation of Citizenship Education learning at the IKIP PGRI Pontianak during the Covid-19 pandemic was online and offline. Development of blended learning model steps. In the first stage, the powerful lecturer starts learning with the zoom meeting application. In the second stage, the lecturer performs a demonstration and presentation of knowledge by strengthening skills. The third stage, the lecturer guides the training. The fourth stage, checking understanding and feedback. The fifth or final stage is the follow-up and closing evaluation. The blended learning model is effective in strengthening students' intellectual skills. This can be seen from the results of the questionnaire analysis, namely that students' intellectual skills achieve an actual score of 5391 out of an ideal score of 7140, with a percentage reaching 76%, in the Good category. The results showed that students were able to identify problems, describe problems and make decisions about the problems they faced.

Abstract

The purpose of this development research is to create a new product in the form of a Symbol and Visits (SaV) learning model as well as to test the level of effectiveness in improving the mastery of teaching materials for the Learning Strategy course. The research method uses the ADDIE approach with the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Research data were collected using documentation and test methods. The data collected in this research uses documentation, observation, interview, and test techniques. The research sample was 14 students of the Economic Education Study Program for the limited trial, 28 for the broad trial, and 62 for the operational test. The results of the study in the form of data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive. Qualitative descriptive was conducted by analyzing pre-survey data and internal design testing. The quantitative analysis consisted of a limited trial, a broad trial, and an operational trial. Student learning outcomes at the operational test stage obtained an average value of 83.61, an increase compared to the limited trial of 70.92, and the broad trial of 81.42. The results showed that the development of the SaV model was able to improve the mastery of teaching materials in the Learning Strategy course for students of the Economic Education Study Program, University of Muhammadiyah Purworejo.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how the perceptions of Accounting and Science education students at Muhammadiyah Riau University towards Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).The research method used is a quantitative method and is based on a survey. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires and interviews with 70 people. The questionnaire was developed by including part of the idea of education for sustainable development into each item, which was assessed on a five-point Likert scale. The sampling method uses stratified random sampling and the Slovin formula to determine the number of samples. Students' perceptions of socio-cultural aspects scored 85.07% (very good), environmental aspects scored 81.71% (very good), and economic aspects scored 82.62% (very good).The results of the study found that Accounting and Science Education students at Muhammadiyah University of Riau on Education for Sustainable Development/ESD got a score of 83.13%. This can be seen in the behavior of students who have started to bring their own drinking bottles, some students have also started using eco-friendly straws, carrying out environmental activities such as planting trees, student participation in campus decision making, and so on. This activity helps the implementation of Ecocampus which enables institutions to contribute to meeting sustainable development goals at the same time.

Abstract

The aims of this study were to describe, identify, and examine: 1) The principles of implementing Al-Qur'an halaqah tahfidz activities at SDIT Bina Insan Luhur Kartasura; 2) The benefits of carrying out halaqah tahfidz Al-Qur'an activities at SDIT Bina Insan Luhur Kartasura; 3) Supporting factors and obstacles in carrying out Al-Qur'an halaqah tahfidz activities at SDIT Bina Insan Luhur Kartasura; and 4) Efforts to overcome obstacles in implementing Al-Qur'an halaqah tahfidz activities at SDIT Bina Insan Luhur Kartasura during the COVID-19 pandemic.The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. Triangulation test is used to test the validity of the data. The data analysis technique in this research is interactive analysis.The results showed that 1) The main principle of halaqah tahfidz Al-Qur'an activities at SDIT Bina Insan Luhur Kartasura is that students not only memorize the Al-Qur'an but also practice the contents contained in the Al-Qur'an. 2) The benefit of halaqah tahfidz Al-Qur'an activities at SDIT Bina Insan Luhur Kartasura is to shape the morals of students to become of noble character. 3) The factors that support halaqah tahfidz Al-Qur'an activities are student enthusiasm, support from parents, adequate supporting teachers, and a supportive community. Obstacles to halaqah tahfidz Al-Qur'an activities are the lack of enthusiasm of students, lack of parental support, teachers who are not optimal in teaching, peer influence. 4) Efforts to overcome supporting teachers motivating students, supporting teachers motivating parents, principals motivating supporting teachers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the character education management process in developing the soft skills and hard skills of students at the Cikini College Music Vocational School. The research method used in this research is to use a descriptive qualitative approach. The study was conducted from March to May 2022. The data collection technique used in this research is through interviews, observations, and document studies. The subjects of this study were vice principals, teachers, disciplinary committees, and students. The data analysis technique used is descriptive data analysis technique.The data validity technique uses the Milles and Huberman data triangulation method. The results of this study indicate that the character education management process in developing the soft skills and hard skills of students at the Cikini Music Vocational School begins with a program planning process that is integrated into the school's vision and mission and involves teachers, school structures, disciplinary commissions, as well as education and training staff. school committees and organizing processes are carried out by collaborating with human resources in schools in carrying out school programs, implementation is carried out by all teachers and students in accordance with the tasks that have been distributed, and evaluation and supervision are carried out every week by involving internal and external parties. In general, the implementation of the development of students' soft skills and hard skills is integrated into learning activities, habituation, boarding, and independent training with students and productive teachers or music teachers while students are at school.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to look at the perceptions and application by Accounting teachers of blended learning as an alternative to learning in the 4.0 era.The research method used is qualitative with the type of case study research. Informants were determined by using a purposive sampling technique. The criteria are teachers who apply blended learning and students who receive blended learning at the Accounting Department of SMKN 2 Blitar. Primary data sources were obtained from teachers and students through in-depth interviews regarding the application of blended learning as an alternative learning in the Industry 4.0 era and secondary data obtained from teacher documentation, training activities and assistance in using technology in learning. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis was performed using data reduction, data presentation, conclusion and verification. Checking the validity of the findings was carried out using source triangulation techniques and technique/method triangulation techniques.The results of the study show that 1) accounting teachers and students give positive perceptions about the application of blended learning as an alternative for learning in the 4.0 era; 2) two accounting teachers have implemented blended learning, namely combining face-to-face learning with online e-learning such as Gnomio and Google Classroom, while five accounting teachers have not implemented blended learning due to several obstacles; 3) the perceptions of teachers and students show that the application of blended learning has an impact on student learning motivation, such as independent learning, being active in teaching and learning activities and collecting assignments on time.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to: (1) Test the effectiveness of build geometry learning media on the critical reasoning abilities of citizens learning Equivalence Education Package A PKBM Pelita Mandiri, (2) Measuring differences in critical reasoning abilities of citizens learning Equality Education Package A PKBM Pelita Mandiri before and after using geometry build learning media.The research method used is quantitative experiment. This research was conducted on learning mathematics and the subjects were residents studying Equality Education Package A class VI PKBM Pelita Mandiri Semarang, totaling 41 children. Data collection techniques using observation, tests, questionnaires and documentation. The type of data analysis used in this study uses descriptive analysis, normality test, t test and N Gain Score test with the help of the SPSS computer program and Microsoft Excel 2019.The results of the study showed that: (1) the effectiveness of build geometry media to improve critical thinking skills was obtained from the posttest results in the experimental class and control class through the N Gain Score test for the experimental class higher than the control class with an average of 68.99 (2) the improvement of critical reasoning skills through media build geometry was obtained from the results of the posttest with the results of the t test which stated that the sig. (2-tailed) 0.00. Increase ≤ 0.05, which means there is an increase in critical thinking skills in the experimental class.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the challenges faced by high school English teachers in teaching and evaluating during online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research. The researcher used observation, an open-ended questionnaire, and an interview to collect the data. The result showed that the teachers face some challenges in teaching speaking and assessing speaking in online learning. First, limited or shorter duration of teaching causes less speaking practice in the process of teaching and learning. Second, limited access to the online platform, this condition happened since not all students have sufficient internet connections during online learning. Third, less learning motivation from the students. Fourth, limited speaking performance activities, such as dialogue, role play, and other performing activities, are difficult to do in online learning. Those problems forced teachers to be innovative in redesigning teaching activities and authentic assessments for students’ speaking proficiency.
