Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease caused by the failure of the pancreas to produce insulin hormone sufficiently, causing an increase in blood glucose levels. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative research by taking samples in three districts, namely Tamalanrea, Panakkukang and Tamalate with a total sample of 250 determined by purposive sampling. The results of the study show that people know the triggers for Diabetes Mellitus, but people still practice an irregular lifestyle or do not limit foods that can trigger Diabetes Mellitus.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much knowledge the community has about erosion on the banks of the river and how the attitude of the people of Kale Bentang Village, Takalar Regency, is in preventing erosion. Data collection was carried out by 20 people. Educating the public about riverbank conservation to prevent erosion is the main objective of this research. Quantitative method in data collection using structured interviews then performed analysis with proportion techniques, then data collection using a questionnaire technique. As a result, there has been an increase in the knowledge and attitudes of the people who previously did not know about the dangers of erosion, now they know and are enthusiastic about preserving the plants on the riverbanks

Abstract

Humans and the environment are a complete ecosystem unit, where one cannot be separated from one another. The unity of the ecosystem includes ecological, economic, socio-cultural aspects, which are intertwined in human civilization. However, a series of human activities are often the cause of various cases of environmental degradation. The aim of the research was to find out the knowledge, attitudes and skills of the community before and after being given training on land forest conservation. The research was conducted in Palopo City, especially Wara Barat District, with a total sample of 20 people selected through purposive sampling. The study used a descriptive quantitative pre-experiment and was analyzed using the Paired Sample T test. The results showed that after being given training on land conservation management, the knowledge, attitudes and skills of the community increased significantly. This indicates that the training has had a positive influence and changed the understanding of land forest conservation.
