Abstract

This study is aimed at developing the application of responsibility through the implementation of Numbered Head Together model in the social science learning process. The type of this research was descriptive analysis using qualitative approach. The subjects of the study were the third-grade students and teachers of social science learning in Sukoharjo Sub-district. Data collection techniques in this study were documentation studies, observation, and interviews. The findings of the research were analyzed using interactive analysis of Miles and Huberman model and presented through descriptive narrative text. The results of the research show that: 1) the learning result of the third-grade students in social science subject is not maximal yet, 2) the students are not aware of the social science learning objectives for their future, 3) the teachers remain applying the conventional model, 4) the teacher has not implemented the social science learning process involving the students' responsibility. The characteristics of Numbered Head Together learning model are suitable to be applied in learning social science because it makes the students serious in learning, develop thinking skills, and improve social relationships among students that can be used as a means to develop the studenta responsibilities in the social studies learning process.DOI: https://doi.org/10.24071/ijiet.2018.020202

Abstract

Abstract: The value of local wisdom “Perdikan Cahyana” which became the philosophy and principles of life in society would be more meaningful if it was manifested in learning. As a form of local wisdom manifestation in learning of Indonesian and Literature subject, especially fiction material is to develop instructional material which was meaningful and relevant to the environment and local wisdom values of the students. This research used research and development (R&D) method to develop instructional material of fiction story that was suitable with the students’ cultural needs, contexts, and then it was validated based on the criteria of the eligibility of instructional material. The local wisdom integration in the instructional material did not damage the material content, but it could strenghten the material. The development of this instructional material based on the local wisdom of “Perdikan Cahyana” which was aimed to achieve the learning objectives and also to converse and internalize the values of local wisdom had meet the instructional material feasibility based on the elibility criteria of the contents, language and readability, materials presentation, and graphics.Keywords: fiction material, perdikan cahyana, local culture.

Abstract

Abstract:  The purpose of this study was to determine the value of Pancasila contained in the local wisdom of Jaranan Turangga Yaksa and to describe the internalization of the values of Pancasila and the local wisdom of Jaranan Turangga Yaksa in elementary schools and to find out the obstacles and solutions to internalizing the values of Pancasila based on local wisdom of Jaranan Turangga Yaksa. The research will be carried out at SD Negeri 3 Ngantru, Trenggalek District, Trenggalek Regency, East Java by using a form of qualitative research with the intention of describing the activities of implementing character values through local wisdom in these elementary schools and the method used in this research is descriptive research method. The results of the research that have been carried out are the values of Pancasila which are contained in the local wisdom of Jaranan Turangga Yaksa starting from the first precept, namely the almighty deity where the art of Jaranan Turangga aims to give alms from the community to God Almighty by giving crops to people in need. . The second Pancasila value contained in the local wisdom of Jaranan Turangga Yaksa, namely the emergence of a sense of tolerance, friendship, social care, an attitude of love for peace among humans and also the application of the fifth Pancasila precept, namely social justice for all Indonesian people. Keywords: Internalilation, Pancasila Values, Local Wisdom, Jaranan TuranggaYaksa

Abstract

Economic learning at SMK Negeri 3 Surakarta still use teacher centered and has not directed students to think such as Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) on 21st Century learning. This study aims to determine the differences in critical thinking skills between students who learn using the problem based learning model and STAD model. This research is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental method. The population of this study is the X grade students of SMK Negeri 3 Surakarta in the academic year 2017/2018. Samples were obtained by using cluster random sampling technique consisting of two classes namely X PM 1 class as the experimental class with problem-based learning and X PM 3 class as the control class with STAD learning. The technique of collecting data uses a multiple choice test to determine students' critical thinking skills. Data Analysis is using MANOVA. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant influence between the learning model on critical thinking skills. The application of the problem-based learning model proved to be more able to improve students' critical thinking skills compared to the STAD learning model.

Abstract

The research aims to describe the implementation of organization communication, challenges, and solutions organizational communication at SMK Batik 2 Surakarta. The method used in this study used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach using primary data in the form of interviews, observation and document analysis. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling to determine the first informant and uses a side snowball to find the second information and so on until the data is saturated. Secondary data using literature study in the form of related research. The validity test used source triangulationThe research aimed to find out : (1) The application of organizational communication at Batik 2 Surakarta has been implemented in accordance with the organizational structure in which the part studied is the form of communication consisting of formal and informal, communication mechanisms consisting of Principals and Deputy Principals, Principals and Committees, Principals and Teachers and staff, Principals and Students, Teachers and Staff, Teachers and Teachers, Staff and Staff, aspects that are communicated consisting of informal work and activities, the method used is persuasive and informative, as well as the media used, namely oral, written and electronic media as an organizational effort to achieve its goals well. (2) Obstacles that occur in the application of organizational communication include: (a) lack of coordination in carrying out tasks; (b) the limitations of some teachers in operating electronic communication media; (c) there was a misunderstanding in sending and receiving information. (3) Efforts to overcome obstacles in the application of organizational communication, namely creating good and harmonious communication between colleagues, scheduling workshops for teachers who have not been able to master electronic communication media, socialization in accordance with policies.

Abstract

AbstractImplementation of Administrative Services in the Academic Subsection at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Sebelas Maret University. This research aims to find the implementation of administrative service, obstacles, and efforts to overcome the obstacles on implementations of administrative service. This research uses descriptive qualitative with a study case approach. The result shows: 1) The implementation of administrative service in Academic Subsection of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Sebelas Maret University are:  services according to existing procedures, service has a certain period of time, services products vary, service facilities and infrastructure are quite adequate, basic service competence of service officers is adequate; 2) The obstacles are: there are service procedures that are not simple and complicated, service facilities are less up-to-date, there are service officers who do not understand information technology,  less number of service officers; 3) The efforts to handling the obstacles are simplifying the service procedure with online and offline mechanisms, doing a facilities procurement, holding a training to improve the service officer competence, making a request for additional service officers and utilizing the college students for internships.

Abstract

This study used descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. The research was conducted at the Office of the Asset and Logistics Section of Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta. The purpose of this research is to find out the process, problems and efforts of implementing inventory of state-owned goods. Research data obtained from informants, events and documents by purposive sampling. Data collection techniques with observation, interviews and documentation. The data validity test technique was obtained by triangulation of sources and methods. The data analysis technique uses interactive model data analysis. The results showed the implementation of the inventory of state property in the Asset and Logistics Section of Sebelas Maret University Surakarta is good and in accordance with applicable laws with the following activities. The problems that arise are limited number of human resources, too much inventory of goods being carried out, the person in charge of the room and goods users do not carry out their duties, and property data countries and goods in the field are not the same. The efforts are to receiving student internships, empowering the division of labor and providing maximum teaching for interns, socialization and training of staff and carry out routine supervision of goods.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the implementation of e-learning in Simkomdig subject at OTKP SMKN 3 Surakarta. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Sources of data obtained from informants, places and occurrence, as well as documents and archives. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling and snowball sampling. Data collection techniques were carried out by interview, observation, and document analysis. Test the validity of the data using source triangulation and method triangulation. The data analysis technique uses an interactive analysis model. The implementation of online learning at Simkomdig OTKP SMKN 3 Surakarta consists of planning learning tools, preparing learning media and information technology that supports online learning. Conducted through the Google Classroom application, SMK3 e-learning, and Whatsapp causing the Simkomdig practicum material to be less than optimal. The online assessment is only taken from the time of collection of assignments and accuracy in answering. The obstacles found were differences in students' understanding abilities, limitations of electronic devices, unstable internet connections, lack of skills to operate electronic media optimally, and lack of learning supervision. Solutions to overcome obstacles in Simkomdig's online learning are carried out by selecting the right learning media, providing internet quota assistance and computer labs, training teachers on online applications, and further coordinating with parents or guardians of students.

Abstract

 The Covid-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on the economy, especially in the field of entrepreneurship. The implementation of online learning among students provides free time for entrepreneurship, but not all students have the will to become entrepreneurs. The aims of this study was to find out the implementation of entrepreneurial activities in students, the supporting and inhibiting factors, and how to overcome the problem. The approach of this study was qualitative descriptive method, and single fixed strategy. Sources of data used are informants, locations, and analysis documents. The sample method of this study were the purposive sampling and snowball sampling. The validity of the data used data triangulation and method triangulation, while the data analysis technique used is an interactive model analysis technique, with stages, data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drew conclusions. The results showed (1) the implementation of student entrepreneurship during the pandemic included strengthening motivation, goals, capital, management, business ideas, product types, marketing, and administration (2) factors that supported included willingness, free time, income, hobbies, conditions that support, competition, support from the environment. The inhibiting factors included difficulty in interacting with customers, difficulty in managing time, customer debt, and shipping costs (3) effort to overcome obtacles were to comply with health protocols,to  perform time management, to reduce customer debt, to provide promos and discounts, to consistently carried out, and evaluated.
