Abstract

The goal of this research is to investigate the influence of satisfaction and motivation of teacher performance. The method of this research is explanatory survey. Data were collected by questionnaire rating scale 5 scale models. Respondent are teachers of state Vocational High School. Respondent are teachers of State Vocational High School in Cimahi. Data analysis technique using regression. The finding of this research indicated that satisfaction and motivation have a positive and significant influence on teacher performance, either partially or simultaneously. The research concluded that the teacher’s performance can be improved by improving the satisfaction and motivation.

Abstract

This study delivers new insights on students' experiences who have studied their courses at least one semester during the Covid-19 Pandemic. We collected 199 respondents and analyzed the result of the questionnaire. The first finding is that students rather use discussions as a method to conduct online learning in classes. Students also would prefer both methods (asynchronous and synchronous) during online learning. We categorized students' learning experiences into intimacy and connection, supports, coordination and collaboration, technical difficulties, and traits. This study concludes that whole experiences about online synchronous learning did not change, except for the lack of personal support from lecturers when students face difficulties in certain subjects and hardware malfunction during classes. We recommend that lecturers pay more attention to students with less comprehension ability. We also recommend that lecturers run more creative ways other than lecturing in classes and limit lecturing time to decrease boredom.

Abstract

The development of students in mastering the skills of the 21st century is certainly inseparable from the role of educators in understanding the various skills and the use of digital technology associated with it, supported by knowledge management process and knowledge sharing. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the knowledge management process and knowledge sharing on teacher literacy skills at State Vocational High Schools (VHSs) in West Java.  To collect data, a questionnaire was used. This research used a quantitative approach through descriptive and verification research. Based on the characteristics of the variables, a survey using a 7-point Likert scale questionnaire was conducted.  This research was purposely administered to 162 teachers from 54 VHSs at 27 cities/regencies in West Java. The Partial Least Square Structural Path-Modeling (PLS-PM) was used to test the hypotheses. The research outcomes revealed that the knowledge management processes and knowledge sharing have a positive effect on teacher literacy skills. Information literacy is important for building literacy skills, but achievement is relatively low. The teacher needs to align these skills with more appropriate directions so that teachers’ literacy skills in the learning process can be more effective.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran ekonomi di era revolusi 4.0. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran kuesioner berupa soal tes keterampilan berpikir kritis pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) Kota Tasikmalaya. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Kelas XI SMA Kota Tasikmalaya sebanyak 3.756 siswa dengan teknik pengambilan sampel dengan rumus Slovin dengan error sebesar 10% sehingga diperoleh sampel sebanyak 100 siswa. Instrumen tes berpikir kritis yang digunakan sudah divalidasi oleh para ahli. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil rata-rata keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa adalah 45,50 yang berarti bahwa siswa SMA Kota Tasikmalaya memiliki keterampilan berpikir kritis pada kategori kurang kritis. Selain itu hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa dari kelima faktor yang mempengaruhi keterampilan berpikir kritis yaitu elementary clarification, basic suport, infering, advanced clarificatioan dan strategies and tactics, faktor basic suport merupakan faktor yang paling dominan dan faktor infering merupakan faktor yang paling lemah. Kesimpulan penelitian ini, perlu dilakukan pembinaan yang lebih baik agar dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa misalnya dengan penerapan metode pembelajaran yang dapat mendorong peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis.

Abstract

In the world of education, learning achievement is very important and become one of the benchmarks of learning achievement. Success in teaching and learning can be achieved from the results of learning achieved by learners. Learning achievement by two factors, in internal factors and external factors. Internal factors of this student, such as physiological and psychological factors. While the external factors of this student are students, such as family environment, school and community environment. The learning theory of Albert Bandura known as the Social Learning Theory (social learning theory) with the concept of the accuracy of reciprocal determinations, suggests a constant interaction between environments, behaviors and people who are learning the process that will ultimately affect the achievements that result. The theory of social learning from Albert Bandura which is a process of learning external and internal factors.

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze specifically about effort to improve students' conceptual understanding through Teams Game Tournament (TGT) learning method. This analysis is based on a number of relevant articles of 30 articles, both partially and correlatively discussed. The results of the analysis of the whole article shows that cooperative learning method of TGT can improve students' concept understanding. This paper can provide implications for teacher, to make the TGT method as an alternative choice in improving students' concept.

Abstract

Implemented knowledge management (KM) in universities is currently a significant and interesting topic to be discussed since universities’ human resource possess knowledge. Ultimately, knowledge management is essential in order to increase university lecturers’ performance. Knowledge management must be supported by leadership and organization culture that would support each process of KM, which includes knowledge creation, knowledge transfer and utilization of knowledge. This study tested a model that shows the influence between KM, job performance, leadership, and organizational culture. This study collected sample from 150 lecturer respondents in seven universities in Bandung using random sampling. We analyze the variables (leadership, organizational culture, KM, and job performance) from questionnaire using Structured Equation Modelling (SEM). Research results have shown that the relationship between leadership and KM has a positive and significant impact, that the relationship between organizational culture and KM has a positive and significant impact, that leadership and job performance have a positive and significant impact, that organizational culture and job performance have a positive and significant impact, and there is a positive and significant influence between KM and job performance. This study concludes leadership, organizational culture, KM, and job performance in universities in Bandung are included in positive category. There are significant and positive influences on variables analyzed.

Abstract

Kreativitas guru memainkan peran penting dalam memberikan inspirasi dan mengembangkan kreativitas peserta didik dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Penelitian yang terkait dengan tema ini telah banyak dilakukan. Oleh karena itu diperlukan analisis terhadap hasil penelitian tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tren publikasi terkait kreativitas guru pada pembelajaran di kelas dalam dua dekade terakhir. Database yang digunakan adalah Scopus. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis bibliometrik deskriptif. Tahapan penelitian meliputi identifikasi, penyaringan, penilaian kelayakan, dan inklusi, yang menghasilkan data akhir sebanyak 120 publikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah publikasi terkait kreativitas guru mengalami peningkatan dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Publikasi pada tahun 2018 juga menjadi yang paling berpengaruh terhadap penelitian ini, karena memiliki nilai h-index yang tinggi dari tahun lainnya. Negara Indonesia dan Amerika Serikat memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan dalam penelitian di bidang ini dibandingkan dengan negara lainnya. Penelitian-penelitian tersebut terfokus pada tiga area utama, yaitu: 1) kreativitas guru, pendidikan tinggi, dan motivasi; 2) kreativitas, sikap kreatif, dan berpikir kritis; serta 3) pendidikan, teknologi, dan inovasi. Tema-tema baru yang muncul dalam penelitian ini meliputi pendidikan tinggi, calon guru, teknologi, dan kurikulum. Temuan-temuan ini dapat memberikan kontribusi penting bagi pengembangan kreativitas guru dan peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di masa depan.

Abstract

This research is based on the learning outcomes in economics subjects which are still low and the desire to identify trends in students' visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles in economics subjects. With this identification, it is hoped that the teacher will find an effective way as a learning strategy in presenting learning and students will find the most suitable learning method for themselves in receiving learning information. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. Data collection was carried out using a visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning style questionnaire. Descriptive statistics are used to analyze the data then look for trends in each student's learning style and calculate the percentage of students as a whole. The research results are as follows. First, the tendency for visual student learning styles is 45% at high levels, 40% medium, and 15% low. The tendency of auditory student learning styles is 21% at high levels, 70% moderate, and 9% low. The tendency of kinesthetic student learning styles is 4% at high levels, 66% moderate, and 30% low. Second, social studies class XI students at Rokan Hulu District Public High School have a visual learning style tendency of 33%, 38% auditory, and 29% kinesthetic students. Third, the average score for students with a visual learning style is 72.4 and the average score for students with an auditory learning style is 77.8 and the average score for students with a kinesthetic learning style is 69.5. Students with an auditory learning style have an average learning result that is better than those with visual and kinesthetic learning styles.
