Abstract

The purposes of study into identify the needs of Indonesian short story writing material for foreign students at ACS Jakarta school. The method used qualitative research. The process of collecting data used observation activities, interviews, and questionnaire. Validation of data is triangulation process. The results showed that the foreign students need materials have a variation level in accordance with the context of learning which is Indonesian. Students expect Indonesian language short story writing material that is relevant to their language cultural context and culture in the Indonesian language. While the teaching materials is supported by the use of learning media is able to stimulate the learning activities of writing.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan bahan ajar menulis cerita pendek bahasa Indonesia bagi siswa penutur asing di sekolah ACS Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Proses pengumpulan data menggunakan kegiatan observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner. Validasi data menggunakan proses triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa penutur asing membutuhkan bahan ajar yang memiliki tingkat variasi sesuai dengan konteks pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Para siswa mengharapkan adanya sajian materi ajar menulis cerita pendek yang relevan dengan konteks dan budaya dalam bahasa Indonesia. Selain itu, materi ajar didukung oleh penggunaan media belajar yang mampu menstimulasi kegiatan pembelajaran menulis.

Abstract

This study aimed to describes the form of errors of using letters that found in Indonesian paper made by Thai students. The data in this study were words and sentences that contained errors. The research is a qualitative research using content analysis method. This research used model data analysis of James, through four steps, first Elicitation and Registration, second Error Identification, third categorizing the errors and the last Diagnosis. The results show that there are 118 errors of using letters: 1) capital letters there are 54 or48% errors, 2) italic there are 23 or 19% errors, and 3) bold there are 35 or 35% errors. The error is caused by ignorance of rule restriction of intralingual factor was 118 or 100% errors. However, the results of the study showed that students have not mastered or understand the structure of Indonesian Language. The results of this study can be used to develop the techniques of teaching Indonesian structure, especially in the field of use letters so; students could improve the ability of using Indonesian language that will be poured into academic writing properly and correctly. Keyword: error analysis, the use of letters, Indonesian language

Abstract

Sampai saat ini, jumlah dan variasi materi ajar BIPA masih minim. Materi ajar BIPA yang sudah disahkan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan RI pun belum dapat dikatakan memenuhi kebutuhan komunikasi yang dimaksud. Materi tata bahasa, keterampilan berbahasa, dan budaya disampaikan secara integratif, tetapi kegiatan belajar di dalamnya belum sepenuhnya menjembatani pemelajar asing untuk dapat berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Indonesia secara layak dengan memperhatikan konteks, masyarakat, dan budaya Indonesia. Hal tersebut menimbulkan masalah bagi pemelajar asing. Pemelajar asing menemukan bahwa bahasa Indonesia yang dipelajari di dalam kelas berbeda dengan penggunaan bahasa Indonesia pada masyarakat. Pemelajar asing bisa saja mendapatkan nilai yang tinggi di dalam kelas, tetapi tidak memiliki kepercayaan diri, pemahaman, dan kompetensi berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Indonesia. Berdasarkan situasi, penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan model materi ajar BIPA berbasis CEFR dengan mengintegrasikan aspek-aspek komunikasi (communication), budaya (cultures), keterkaitan (connections), perbandingan (comparison), dan masyarakat/komunitas (communities). Kelima aspek tersebut dikenal dengan istilah 5C dan menjadi landasan penting dalam mempelajari bahasa asing, salah satunya bahasa Indonesia. Dengan mengintegrasikan kelima aspek tersebut dalam materi ajar menyimak, berbicara, membaca, menulis, dan tata bahasa, pemelajar asing dapat menguasai kompetensi berbahasa Indonesia dengan lebih baik serta komprehensif. Selain itu, pemelajar asing juga didorong untuk menguasai kompetensi berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Indonesia secara lebih layak sehingga tidak terjadi missing link antara bahasa Indonesia yang dipelajari di kelas maupun bahasa Indonesia yang secara nyata digunakan dalam masyarakat. Model materi ajar yang dikembangkan akan terfokus pada tingkat B1 atau menengah awal karena pada tingkat tersebut pemelajar BIPA sudah mulai mampu memahami, mendiskusikan, dan berkomunikasi tentang topik-topik yang lebih abstrak seperti topik kebudayaan non-kebendaan yang berkaitan dengan logika kolektif, kebiasaan, dan tradisi.

Abstract

AbstractNowadays, English is the most important language, including the students who study in STKIP Situs Banten. To be fluent in English students have to increase their ability in writing the paragraph. The Researcher used a flipped classroom learning model since the Covid-19 Pandemic struck Indonesia and the classroom meeting cannot be assessed. This model incorporates dynamic learning; understudy inclusion and present-day innovation by utilizing ICT. In a flipped classroom, the material was given through learning recordings, instructional exercise,s and PowerPoint material by means of WhatsApp group that understudies saw in their homes before the virtual class is acquired. The key objective of this investigation is to explore the practicality of the flipped classroom learning model for teaching paragraph writing. The analyst took the examples from second-semester students in the English instruction division of STKIP Situs Banten. After this activity research measure has been done, this flipped examination lobby learning model can be utilized as a reasonable model for growing understudies limit in section composing. The researcher had dissected that there are a few reasons which drive this occurred: understudy's inspiration, understudy's Writing propensities, students autonomously, and varieties of alluring material. Abstract

This research is based on the discovery of students and teachers at SMAN 01 Logas Tanah Darat, Kuantan Singingi, Riau, who spoke impolitely. As people working in the world of education, students and teachers must certainly pay attention to politeness in language. For this reason, this research needs to be conducted to see the extent of the politeness of students and teachers in communicating in the realm of education. Also, this study not only looked at the politeness of students and teachers but also want to see the factors causing the impoliteness of students and teachers in speaking. This research uses a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods. Sources of data in this study were students and teachers at SMAN 01 Logas Tanah Darat, Kuantan Singingi, Riau. The data in this study are the speech of students and teachers containing six maxim of politeness raised by Leech. The results of this study indicate that students and teachers at SMAN 01 Logas Tanah Darat, Kuantan Singingi Riau can already be categorized politely in speech. This can be seen from the 101 utterances found that only 38 utterances are categorized as impolite or violate the six maxims of the politeness principle stated by Leech.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola pembentukan kata dan fungsi sosiolinguistik yang terdapat pada bahasa Walikan Malang. Penelitian ini diharapkan mampu menambah wawasan pembaca mengenai pembentukan kata khususnya pada bahasa Walikan Malang. Penelitian ini juga diharapkan mampu menjadi salah satu referensi pembelajaran pembentukan kata. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan dengan teknik analisis isi. Setelah dilakukan penelitian, data yang didapatkan kemudian dipilah menjadi dua klasifikasi, yaitu pembentukan kata monomorfemis dan pembentukan kata polimorfemis. Hasil didapatkan setelah dilakukan analisis pada tiap klasifikasi besar tersebut terbagi atas dua bagian. Pertama, pada pembentukan kata polimorfemis kosakata polimorfemis bahasa Walikan yang diperoleh berjumlah 33 kata. Kata-kata polimorfemis tersebut dibentuk melalui proses afiksasi dan proses morfologis bahasa Indonesia dengan afiks di- dan sufiks –an, reduplikasi, komposisi, akronim, sehingga diperoleh gambaran mengenai kosakata polimorfemis bahasa Walikan. Kedua, kosakata monomorfemis bahasa Walikan, kosakata monomorfemis merupakan gabungan kata dengan kategori nomina, verba, adverbia, dan adjektiva, serta perubahan posisi suku kata yang disertai perubahan bunyi dan perubahan posisi suku kata secara keseluruhan. Kata kunci: pembentukan kata, polimorfemis, dan monomorfemis.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai fenomena tindak tutur yang dimiliki para siswa penyandang DS pada SLB Dharma Wanita Bogor. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif melalui analisis percakapan antara guru dan siswa dengan merekam aktivitas belajar mengajar di SLB Dharma Wanita Kota Bogor di dalam kelas. Pada analisis tindak tutur ilokusi para siswa SLB Dharma Wanita Kota Bogor ditemukan ilokusi asertif 25 buah, ilokusi direktif 7 buah, ilokusi komisif 5 buah, ilokusi ekspresif 4 buah, ilokusi deklaratif tidak ditemukan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa jenis tindak tutur para siswa pada anak penyandang DS di SLB Dharma Wanita Kota Bogor yang paling banyak ditemukan ialah ilokusi asertif, yaitu sebanyak 25 buah. Ilokusi asertif menjadi jenis tindak tutur yang paling sering digunakan untuk menyatakan sesuatu kepada lawan tutur karena banyaknya pernyataan yang diucapkan siswa penyandang DS.Ilokusi deklaratif jarang sekali ditemukan karena dalam percakapan antara guru dan siswa pada anak penyandang DS karena tidak adanya korespondensi antara isi dan realitas. Abstract

The humor type and function contained in the Indonesian Lawak Klub (ILK) program are interesting to research. There are three types of humor theories in ILK that explain the reasons why someone can  laugh or smile. The three types of humor are the theory of liberation (release), the theory of excellence (superiority), and the theory of incongruity. Whereas the seven functions of humor as communication activities in the social context discussed in this paper are the functions of social control, face-searching tools, building common ground, intelligence, regulating discourse, strengthening social bonds of friendship, and improving tense situations. This research aims to describe the type of humor theory and the function of humor contained in the ILK program. This research uses the method of qualitative description with observing, note-taking, and study literature techniques. The results of this research then find out how things can arouse laughter or amusement on someone and various functions of humor that are spoken by speakers. This research also illustrates that utterances or dialogues in ILK containing implicatures can produce broader speech meanings than just ordinary utterances. With implicature and humorous discourse in dialogue, criticism and control of the government, the most dominant type of humor theory that appears in ILK is the type of peculiar theory. Whereas the most dominant function of humor appears in ILK is functioned as a tool to improve tense and rigid situations.

Abstract

This study aims to describe: 1) the development of reading syllabus for BIPA level A1 using deductive approach in D’Royal Moroco Integrative Islamic Elementary School, and 2) the development of reading teaching material for BIPA level A1 using deductive approach in D’Royal Moroco Integrative Islamic Elementary School. The method used in this research was research and development method. Based on the observations, documents analysis, interviews, and tests, during need analysis period, can be elaborated that the school did not have any teaching materials for BIPA. While the school had quite a lot of BIPA students mostly at A1 level. This situasions need immediate action of developing syllabus and reading teaching material for BIPA at A1 level. Due to the target of the users for this syllabus and teaching material, deductive approach can be used to developing the syllabus and the reading teaching material of BIPA A1 since the children learn more effectively by imitating the examples, and deductive approach suits that needs. By following the deductive approach, the syllabus should contains the role of teacher and students while the teaching material should have: 1) begins with the concept introduction, 2) followed by relevant examples, and 3) contains of adequate practice. It is also should containing relevant and interesting illustrations.

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti dan menjelaskan unsur-unsur intrinsik dandiskriminasi ras yang terdapat dalam film The Help karya Tate Taylor berdasarkan kajianfeminisme. Diskriminasi ras dikaji berdasarkan teori womanisme dari Layli Philips.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode analisis isi.Temuan dalam penelilitian ini mencakup (1) unsur fiksi yakni unsur intrinsik dalam filmThe Help karya Tate Taylor meliputi penokohan, tema, alur dan latar (2) usaha-usaha yangdilakukan perempuan dalam menghadapi diskriminasi ras digambarkan dalam film TheHelp karya Tate Taylor berdasarkan unsur-unsur fiksi (3) bentuk-bentuk perilakudiskriminasi ras yang digambarkan dalam film The Help karya Tate Taylor berdasarkanunsur-unsur fiksi. Teori womanisme yang digunakan untuk mengkaji film The Help,melawan tiga bentuk penindasan yakni penindasan ras, kelas sosial dan gender. Konsep antioppressionist digunakan untuk menganalisis usaha-usaha yang dilakukan perempuan kulithitam untuk berjuang melawan penindasan. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapatberguna dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra, khususnya kajian feminismesehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik maupun pembaca dalammemahami sastra.Kata kunci : anti oppresionist,diskriminasi ras,feminisme,film,womanisme.AbstractThis research is aimed to analyze and explain intrinsic elements and racial discriminationin The Help movie by Tate Taylor based on the study of feminism. Racial discrimination isexamined based on theory of womanism by Layli Philips. This research was qaulitativeresearch which used content analysis method. The findings of this research are included (1)to describe fiction elements (intrinsic elements) in The Help movie directed by Tate Tayloras follows, character, theme, plot and setting (2) to analyze black women’s struggles whenfaced racial discrimination in The Help movie based on fiction elements (3) to reveal formsof racial discrimination in The Help movie based on fiction elements. The theory ofwomanism is used to analyze three kind of oppression as follows : racial discrimination,social class and gender in The Help movie. The concept of anti oppressionist is used toanalyze black women’s struggle in facing oppression. The result of this research is expectedto be useful in the process of learning language and literature.
