Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan penerapan model discovery learning untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar fisika siswa di SMA. Jenis penelitian adalah pra-eksperimental dengan subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XI Minat Sains (IPA) 1 di SMAN 1 Kediri Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020 sejumlah 35 orang. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah One Group Pre-test dan Post-test Design. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi penerapan model discovery learning dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) persentase penerapan model discovery learning meningkat, dari 83% menjadi 96%, yang berarti kualitas pembelajaran yang lebih baik, dan (2) hasil belajar siswa juga meningkat, dari 25 menjadi 84 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 0% menjadi 86%. Dengan demikian, model discovery learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar fisika siswa di SMA. Kata kunci: discovery; hasil belajar. ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to describe the application of discovery learning models to improve student physics learning outcomes in high school. This type of research is pre-experimental with research subjects namely students of class XI Interest in Science (IPA) 1 at SMAN 1 Kediri in the 2019/2020 Academic Year a number of 35 people. The research design used is One Group Pre-test and Post-test Design. The instrument used in this study was an observation sheet applying the discovery learning model and learning achievement test. The results showed that: (1) the percentage of application of the discovery learning model increased, from 83% to 96%, which means better quality of learning, and (2) student learning outcomes also improved, from 25 to 84 with classical completeness of 0% to 86%. Thus, the discovery learning model can improve student physics learning outcomes in high school. Keywords: discovery; learning outcomes.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi metode diskusi berbasis Learning Management System (LMS) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pre-experimental dengan one-group pretest-posttest design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa di Kelas IV/A yang mengambil mata kuliah Strategi Pembelajaran Fisika pada Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika, FKIP Universitas Mataram, Semester Genap Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020 sebanyak 19 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi implementasi metode diskusi berbasis LMS dan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) persentase implementasi metode diskusi berbasis LMS meningkat, dari 75% menjadi 92%, yang berarti kualitas pembelajaran yang lebih baik, dan (2) kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa meningkat dari 54 menjadi 82 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 5% menjadi 89%. Nilai rata-rata N-gain sebesar 60 dengan kriteria sedang. Disimpulkan bahwa metode diskusi berbasis Learning Management System (LMS) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa pada perkuliahan Strategi Pembelajaran Fisika. Kata kunci: diskusi; LMS; kemampuan berpikir kritis. ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the implementation of the Learning Management System (LMS) based discussion method to improve students' critical thinking skills. This research type is pre-experimental with one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this research were 19 students in Class IV / A who took the Physics Learning Strategy course at the Physics Education Study Program, FKIP University of Mataram, even semester of the 2019/2020 academic year. The instrument used in this study was the observation sheet on the implementation of the LMS-based discussion method and the test of students' critical thinking skills. The results showed that: (1) the percentage of LMS-based discussion method implementation increased, from 75% to 92%, which means better learning quality, and (2) students' critical thinking skills increased from 54 to 82 with classical completeness of 5% to 89%. The average N-gain value is 60 with moderate criteria. It is concluded that the Learning Management System (LMS) based discussion method can improve students' critical thinking skills in Physics Learning Strategies lectures. Keywords: discussion; LMS; critical thinking skills.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran fisika dengan metode real experiments dan virtual experiments sebagai upaya meningkatkan kecakapan hidup siswa. Manfaat yang diharapkan adalah tersedianya perangkat pembelajaran fisika yang dapat dijadikan acuan oleh guru dalam menyusun perangkat pembelajaran dengan metode real experiments dan virtual experiments. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan terdiri atas enam komponen yaitu: Silabus, Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran, Buku Materi Pokok untuk Suhu dan Kalor, Lembar Kerja Siswa berbasis pendekatan saintifik, Media Pembelajaran (media tiga dimensi dan simulasi komputer), dan Tes Hasil Belajar yang diintegrasikan dengan kecakapan hidup. Model pengembangan perangkat yang digunakan adalah model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Pada tahap Design telah dilakukan perancangan prototype perangkat pembelajaran sehingga penelitian ini telah menghasilkan draf produk prototype perangkat pembelajaran fisika dengan metode real experiments dan virtual experiments. Tahap Design telah selesai dilakukan sehingga penelitian pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran dapat dilanjutkan ke tahap berikutnya yaitu tahap Develop dan Disseminate. Kata kunci: desain pembelajaran; real; virtual; experiments. ABSTRACTThis study aims to develop physics learning devices with methods of real experiments and virtual experiments as an effort to improve students' life skills. The expected benefit is the availability of physics learning devices that can be used as a reference by teachers in preparing learning tools with methods of real experiments and virtual experiments. The learning tool developed consists of six components: Syllabus, Learning Implementation Plan, Basic Material Book for Temperature and Heat, Student Worksheet based on a scientific approach, Learning Media (three dimensional media and computer simulation), and Learning Results Test integrated with Life Skill. The device development model used is the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). In the design stage has been done designing prototype learning device so that this research has resulted draft product prototype device of physics learning with method of real experiments and virtual experiments. Stage Design has been completed so that the study of learning device development can be continued to the next stage of development and Disseminate stage. Keywords: learning design; real; virtual; experiments.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah terhadap hasil belajar serta peningkatannya. Materi fisika kuantum yang diteliti meliputi lima sub pokok bahasan yaitu: Persamaan Schrodinger, Operator Fisis, Komutator, Persamaan Gerak Heisenberg, dan Osilator Harmonis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pretest and posttest group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa pendidikan fisika tahun pelajaran 2018/2019. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik total sampling dengan mahasiswa semester VI A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan mahasiswa semester VI B sebagai kelas kontrol. Hipotesis penelitian diuji menggunakan uji-t dengan pretest and posttest dan peningkatan hasil belajar diuji menggunakan persamaan N-gain. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis untuk hasil belajar fisika kuantum diperoleh nilai thitung (1,91)> ttabel (1,68) pada taraf signifikansi 5%, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah terhadap hasil belajar fisika kuantum bagi mahasiswa calon guru. Selanjutnya peningkatan hasil belajar fisika kuantum terlihat dari skor N-gain tertinggi pada kelas eksperimen terdapat pada sub materi komutator dan osilator harmonis sebesar 72%, sedangkan skor N-gain tertinggi untuk kelas kontrol terdapat pada sub materi osilator harmonis sebesar 60%. Kata kunci: model pembelajaran berbasis masalah;hasil belajar; fisika kuantum ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning models on learning outcomes and their improvement. The quantum physics material studied includes five sub-subjects, namely: Schrodinger's Equation, Physical Operators, Commutators, Heisenberg's Equation of Motion, and Harmonic Oscillator. This type of research is an experimental research design with pretest and posttest group design. The population in this study were all physics education students for the 2018/2019 academic year. The sample was taken using total sampling technique with the VIA semester students as the experimental class and the VIB semester students as the control class. The research hypothesis was tested using the t-test with pretest and posttest and the improvement of learning outcomes was tested using the N-gain equation. Based on the results of hypothesis testing for the learning outcomes of quantum physics, the tcount (1.91) > ttable (1.68 ) is obtained at the 5% significance level, so it can be concluded that there was an effect of applying problem-based learning models on learning outcomes of quantum physics for prospective teacher students. Furthermore, the increase in learning outcomes of quantum physics can be seen from the highest N-gain score in the experimental class in the commutator and harmonic oscillator sub-material by 72%, while the highest N-gain score for the control class is in the harmonic oscillator sub-material by 60%. Keywords: problem based learning model; learning outcomes; quantum physics.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning cycle model 7E on critical thinking skills of students of SMAN 1 Gerung. The research type is quasi experimental with post-test only control group design. Population is all class X MIPA SMAN 1 Gerung, with sampling technique using purposive sampling and obtained class X MIPA 3 as experiment class and class X MIPA 4 as control class. Data collection of critical thinking ability using the test technique in the form of a description of 5 questions that have been validated and reliable. Based on the result of research, it is found that the average post-test of critical thinking ability of experimental class is 66,02 and control class is 52,80. The obtained data were first tested for normality and homogeneity. Both classes were normally distributed and homogeneous, followed by hypothesis testing using statistical test (t-test polled variance). Test the hypothesis of critical thinking ability obtained t count value of 4,0928 and t table of 1.99656 at a significant level of 0.05, because t count is greater than t table, then H0 rejected and Ha accepted. The conclusion of this research is there is influence of learning cycle model 7E to critical thinking ability of students of SMAN 1 Gerung.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning cycle 7E model on physics learning outcomes of students of class XI SMAN 8 Mataram. The type of this research is experimental research with pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study is all students of class XI SMAN 8 Mataram academic year 2017/2018. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique, with class XI MIA 1 students as experiment class and XI MIA 2 class student as control class. The instruments used are multiple choice test and observation sheet. Based on the result of research, the average value for pretest of experiment class and control class is 26,783 and 28,333 while for the average of post-test of experiment class and control class is 60,696 and 52,667. The research hypothesis was tested by t-test with a significant level of 5%. Data of learning result analyzed by using t-test of two parties obtained taccount equal to 2,071 and ttable equal to 1,679 at degree of freedom is 45. According to the criteria of the hypothesis test, if taccount greater than ttable, then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. So it can be concluded that there is influence of Learning Cycle 7E model to physics learning result of class XI SMAN 8 Mataram.

Abstract

Quasi experimental research with "non-equivalent control group design" aims to determine the effect of conceptual understanding procedures model on the mastery of concepts and ability to solve the physics problems of class X students SMAN 1 Gerung tahun 2017/2018. Population in this research is all students of class X MIPA SMAN 1 Gerung with sampling technique using purposive sampling, so selected class X MIPA 2 as experiment class and class X MIPA 5 as control class. Data collection of the mastery of concepts was performed using multiple choice test with mean score for experimental class of 72,96 and for control class equal to 63,29 and problem solving ability using essay test with mean value for experiment class was 56,30 and for the control class of 44.48. After the teaching, the mastery of the concepts of both classes increased, the second highest grade values occurred in the mechanical energy sub-material with the percentage of 69% in the experimental class and 66% in the control class whereas the second lowest grade occurred on the restoring force sub-material. Problem-solving abilities (PSAs) were 6 indicators, in the control class PSA-1 higher than the experimental class, while the PSA-2 through the PSA-6 experimental class was higher than the control class. The hypothesis of this study was tested by the test-t polled variance with a significant level of 5% and obtained t count of 4.65 for the mastery of concepts and t count of 3.50 for problem-solving abilities while the t table value of 1.99 means t count more great from t table. The results of this study indicate that there is influence conceptual understanding procedures model to the mastery of the concept and ability of solving physics problems of students class X SMAN 1 Gerung academic year 2017/2018.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the results of the implementation of learning methods namely real experiments and virtual experiments on learning physics in SMAN 1 Kediri. In the real experiment method three-dimensional media is used, whereas in the virtual experiment method computer simulation in the form of Physics Education Technology (PhET) is used. Learning tools used consist of syllabus, learning implementation plans, subject matter books, learning media, student worksheets, and learning outcome tests. Test subjects are limited to learning devices using learning methods namely real experiments and virtual experiments are students of Class XI Science 1 in SMA 1 Kediri Academic Year 2017/2018. The learning model applied is inquiry with 6 stages, namely identification and formulation of problems, formulation of hypotheses, data collection, data interpretation, development of conclusions, repetition. Learning activities are carried out in 4 meetings. Assessment of the implementation of learning using a scale of 4 with criteria that is a score of 12 to 16 including very good criteria, a score of 8 to 11 including good criteria, scores 4 to 7 including poor criteria, and scores less than 4 including bad criteria. Based on the data analysis obtained the average value of learning implementation for 4 meetings is equal to 14. Thus it can be concluded that the implementation of learning methods namely real experiments and virtual experiments on learning Physics at SMAN 1 Kediri are very good criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and produce a physics history textbook based on higher order thinking skills (HOTS). This research was a development research which consists of four stages, namely: the determination stage, design, development, and dissemination. The success of the indicators of this research were seen from the feasibility of the developed textbooks. Physics history textbook based on higher order thinking skills was categorized as good and suitable for use, in terms of content, presentation, and language feasibility. Meanwhile, in terms of textbook effectiveness, it was measured by the impact of increasing students' higher order thinking skills as seen from the increase in N-gain.  The student's high-order thinking skills had increased with N gain 0.4 (moderate category). This shows that the textbooks that have been developed are feasible and effective in terms of the ability to increase higher-order thinking skills (HOTS).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the Learning Cycle 7E model with pocketbook assistance on the critical thinking skills of class X learners. This type of research uses quasi-experimental methods (pseudo experiments) with untreated control group research design with pre-test and post-test design. The population in this study is all X-class learners.  Sampling was done with purposive sampling techniques and obtained class X-MIA 3 as the experimental class and X-MIA 5 as the control class. Experimental classes are treated in the form of a 7E learning cycle model assisted by pocket books, while conventional learning control classes. The instrument used is in the form of a description test with as many as 8 questions that have been tested for validity, reliability, and different power and difficulty levels. The research hypothesis was tested using a t-test polled variant. Data analysis shows which is 7,940 > 1,678 which means Ho was rejected and Ha accepted, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of the pocketbook-assisted learning cycle 7E model on the critical thinking skills of students.
