Abstract

Abstract The research aimed at understanding the function of Temong-temong during babako. The method of the research was qualitative. The research showed that there were several functions of Temong-temong during babako. 1) symbolic function, with the music from Temong-temong during babako, it could rimove bad assumptions from the society toward those who wre menaging a wedding. 2) communication  function, with the music from Temong-temong people knew that there was a wedding. 3) entertainment function, with the music from Temong-temong the people could be entertained. 4) Revaling expression emotional function, for those who saw and heatd the music would join the celebration cheerfully.   Kata Kunci: Fungsi, Temong-temong, Babako, Kecamatan Pauh

Abstract

Abstract This article aimed to explain about the implementation of culture and arts learning (music) using audiovisual media in class VIII-2 of SMP Negeri 30 Padang. The background of the research was the interest of researcher to use audiovisual media in classroom learning in line with the order and composition of the material subject given. The type of research was qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The object of the study was the teacher and students who were studying culture and arts (music) in the subject matter of regional song appreciation, namely in class VIII-2 of SMP Negeri 30 Padang. The instruments of this research were observation and interview. The results showed that when audiovisual media used in music learning by paying attention to the order and suitability of the subject matter, then the use of audiovisual media would be able to attract students' attention in fostering understanding in learning. It was because the audiovisual learning media was not limited to power point and video display; sometimes the media was displayed separately from the subject matter delivered by the teacher in the classroom. Keywords:           Audiovisual Media, Culture and Arts Learning, Regional Music

Abstract

Abstract   This study was aimed at describing the preservation of traditional music of Gandang Sarunai in Nagari Sako Pasia Talang Alam Sarambi Sungai Pagu. This was a quatitative research which used descriptive analysis approach. The instruments of the research were camera, note-book and list of interview. The data was collected through observation, interview and photography. It then was classified into primary and secondary data. The result of the study indicated thet the preservation of traditional music of Gandang Sarunai in Nagari sako Utara Pasia Talang was done in non-formal way; learning throughy observing or watching the show, and legating the skill hereditarily or through art groups. There were three phases done in acquiring the skills of playing Gandang Sarunai through and so were in art groups. In society, Gandang Sarunai was performed in the ceremony of Pengangkatan Penghulu, wedding party, building Rumah Gadang, and welcoming the noble guests. Abstract

This study aims to determine whether choir extracurricular activities affect student learning outcomes. This research is a quantitative research with correlation method. Theories used are about extracurricular, choir, learning and instruction, learning outcomes, andCulture and Arts.The data supporting this study sourced from primary data and secondary data. The results show that there is a significant relationship between extracurricular activities and the learning outcomesof singing folk songs. Based on the calculation of simple correlation test, it shows that r count> r table (0.853> 0.831). Thus, it can be concluded that the relationship is positive and can be continued with a significant test. Significant test is sought by using the t test. The resultgot istcount>ttable (7.004> 1.907). This value gives a conclusion that there is a positive and significant relationship between the choir extracurricular activities (X) on the learning outcomes of arts and culture (Y) at SMP N 10 Padang.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aimed to describe the vocal group as an extracurricular learning at SMP 2 KayuTanam.This study was a qualitative study using descriptive method. The object was the implementation of vocal group of extracurricular learning at SMP 2 KayuTanam. The primary data were attained through observation, and interview, and the secondary data were taken from library research. The result showed that the well-planned activity led to the good result. The good implementation of vocal group at SMP 2 KayuTanam can be gained because of the contributions of the coach who planned the extracurricular learning and school’s principles that supported and facilitated the needs during the extracurricular time.

Abstract

This study aimsto explain the implementation of  Unisono singing learning at class VII-1 in SMP Negeri 1 Painan, Pesisir Selatan District. Type of this research wasa qualitative research with using a descriptive approach, so it was called qualitative-descriptive analysis research. By using this research method, the research process and results provided the complete and the real picture of the object under study from several points of view with a description. Techniques of data collection were collected by taking observation, interviews and documentation. Techniques of data analysis were done by collecting, identifying, classifying, describing, and finally drawing final conclusions of the research. After taking notes during the data collection including doing the interviews and document studies, the results obtain that the implementation of cultural art (music), especially on the topic of unisono singing at class VII-1 SMP Negeri 1 Painan found that the teacher still uses the usual learning methods or conventional, namely the lecture method, question and answer, and discussion. In fact, in the learning to unisono singing which requires demonstrations in the form of demonstration activities and exercises, it is rarely shown or done by the teacher in front of the students. Even if there is a pilot, the teacher only exemplifies the song to the students without demonstrating it completely, but instead sing a piece. As a result, unisono singing learning becomes subject matter of knowledge, without knowing clearly how the correct vocal technique to sing it.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the composition analysis recuerdos de la Alhambra works of Francisco Tarrega. This research uses a qualitative approach through analysis study (content analysis). Data collection through literature studies and laboratory work. Analysis of the composition Recuerdos de la Alhambra examines the form of songs that includes motifs, phrases, periods and cultivation techniques that include the technique of playing the right hand and left hand playing techniques. The theory used prier theory, Banoe and Poerwadarmita. That said point a is a collection of motifs, phrases, periods and cultivation techniques. The composition of the research results Recerdos de la Alhambra works of Francisco Tarrega consists of a 55-bar using ¾ time signature by using the basic tone C major and modulated to the basic tone of A major. Song form consists of a form that is A (a a '), consists of two motives in the phrase antecedents and motives in the phrase concequens 3. In the arable techniques there are two, namely the technique of the game in the right hand and left hand technique in the game. On the right hand playing techniques there is one bar that uses apoyando and and tirando which include: there are two bars which uses techniques tirando on chords, arpeggios and a 1-bar at 52 bars in tremolo. Abstract

Abstract Bedeker was one of the arts possessed by society at Talang Rimbo Lama Kecamatan Curup Tengah Kabupaten Rejang Lebong which was Islamic. The presentation was a kind of combination between music and dance played in an ensamble. The lyric of the music was derived from words in Al-qur’an accompanied with Rebana and Gendang and the dance was done to beautify the performance. The inheritance of Bedeker was given to the society informally by inheriting to the family and to the environment. The next inheritance step was done by teaching it phase by phase, started from teaching its vocal, then teaching the instruments, and thirds teaching the dance.   Kata kunci: Bedeker, Pewarisan, Informal, Rebana, Gendang

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to reveal and explain the appreciation of Jorong and Nagari Community of Sundata, Lubuk Sikaping District, Pasaman Regency towards the existence of Rupano art. Data were obtained through direct observation, interview, literature study, and documentation. The data were analyzed based on phenomenon that happened to the existence of rupano art and society appreciation to the art by using Miles and Huberman model.The results show that the public appreciation on rupano art is lack, so even though this art is performed, people are not interested anymore to wacth it. The level of public appretiation of rupano art is ound very low. Society does not recognize and understand the details or specifics and aesthetis o the rupano art. Therefore people have not appreciated the art of rupano well. In addition, the community also has no sense of responsibility and sense of belonging to the arts. This because the general public has been bored o watching the rupano art for the reasons of rupano art is not impressing it has no development althogether.
