Abstract

Alih fungsi lahan pada berbagai tipe penggunaan lahan yang kurang bijaksana menyebabkan perubahan karakteristik sifat tanah pada DAS Meureubo Provinsi Aceh.   Penelitian ini menggunakan metode parametrik USLE (Universal Soil Loss Equation) dengan pendekatan survei deskriptif melalui observasi lapangan serta pemanfaatan data-data spasial dan studi literasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perubahan tata guna lahan memunculkan nilai kehilangan tanah TBE (Tingkat Bahaya Erosi) aktual kelas V kategori sangat berat meliputi; SPL (Satuan Peta Lahan) 5, 12, dan 16.  Nilai TBE aktual kelas IV dengan katagori berat terjadi pada SPL 2, 6, 7, 10, dan 13. Nilai TBE aktual Kelas III dengan katagori sedang terjadi pada SPL 3, 4, 8, 9, 14, 17, dan 20, sedangkan SPL 1, 18, 19, 21 dan 11, 15 katagori tidak berbahaya yaitu sangat ringan sampai ringan. Nilai TBE aktual ini dipengaruhi oleh nilai konservasi dan pengelolaan tanaman (CP) yang tinggi.  Nilai TBE potensial kategori berat sampai sangat berat, sedangkan nilai ancaman erosi IBE (Indek Bahaya Erosi) pada masing-masing SPL masuk dalam kategori sangat tinggi.  Tingginya nilai TBE aktual pada SPL 5 dan 12 disebabkan oleh penggunaan lahan pertanian lahan kering dengan nilai erosi 36 kali lebih besar dibandingkan dengan macam tutupan lahan berupa belukar pada DAS Meureubo Provinsi Aceh pada kelerangan lahan 25 - 45 % dan >45%.  Agar nilai TBE aktual, TBE potensial dan Nilai IBE yaitu dapat ditekan dengan melakukan perbaikan terhadap lahan-lahan yang terlanjur rusak akibat alih fungsi lahan dan illegal logging. Diperlukan tindakan konservasi terhadap lahan, seperti menjaga tanaman penutup tanah dengan deforestasi berbasis manajemen pengelolaan lahan secara lestari, di samping itu pendekatan secara mekanik seperti teras bangku pada lahan yang agak curam sampai curam, serta perlu adanya regulasi berupa peraturan dari pemerintah secara fokus dan konsisten berbasis pemantauan, serta adanya usaha mengembalikan fungsi hutan dengan menghutankan kembali daerah yang berstatus hutan secara undang-undang di DAS Meureubo Provinsi Aceh

Abstract

This research to know response organic materials and some varieties to cucumber to result and growth atultisol and whet herthere is interaction both of factor.This research have been executed by in Garden Agriculture Faculity of TeukuUmar University Meulaboh, Aceh Barat Started 3 July up to 7 September 2015.This research to used is a randomized blokc desigh (RBD) with 3 x 4 and 3 with there replications. The first factor is  varieties 3 level: Hercules, Mercy, and Wuku. The second factor is organic material; 4 level that is control (without treatmant),10 tons/hectare, 20 tons/hectare, and 30 tons / hectare set organic. The results showed that the varieties signifcantly affectted plant height 15, 20, and 25 days after plantiny length diameter fruit. Where as 15 and 20 days after planting, fruit weight and production tons/hectare. Showed no significant effect on dose organic plant heigh 15, 20, and 25 days after planting, fruit weigh, fruit length, fruit to diameter, and productions total tons/hectare. There was no significant interaction between varieties and organic material on all parameters of observation. Keywords: cucumber, organic materials, ultisol, varieties

Abstract

Abstract Histosol is an organic soil with a high acidity value (pH 4.5) and low levels of nutrients N, P, and K that is effects to plant growth and yield. This study aims to examine the effect of dolomite and NPK fertilization on the growth and yield of Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L.) on Histosol soil. This research was conducted in the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Teuku Umar University, West Aceh. This study used a factorial 4 x 4 randomized block design (RBD) with 3 replications. The factors studied include: 1) Dolomite factor (D) consists of 4 levels, namely: D0= without liming, D1= 22.5 grams/polybag, D2= 45 grams/polybag, D3= 67.5 grams / polybag; 2) NPK fertilizer factor (N) consists of 4 levels, namely: N0= zero NPK fertilizer application, N1= 11.25 gram/polybag, N2 = 18.75 grams/polybag, N3= 26.25 grams/polybag. The results showed that dolomite dose had a very significant effect on plant height, stem diameter and number of leaves of okra plants aged 15, 30, 45 and 60 HST. Very significant effect on the length of the okra fruit aged 73 HST and significant effect on the weight of the fruit age 73 HST, but no significant effect on fruit diameter, number of fruit age and production per hectare (tons) 73 HST. NPK fertilizer has a very significant effect on plant height and stem diameter aged 15, 30, 45 and 60 HST. Very significant effect on fruit length and diameter okra fruit aged 73 HST. Not significant effect on the number of fruits, fruit weight and per hectare production (tons) of okra aged 73 HST. There was no interaction between dolomite and NPK fertilizer from all treatments.Keywords : Histosol, acidity, liming and fertilizing, growth and yield of okra plants

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon pertumbuhan dan hasil beberapa varietaskedelai (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) terhadap pemberian dosis bokasi ampas tebu, yang dilaksanakan di lahan percobaan Universitas Teuku Umar, mulai dari Juli sampai September 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak kelompok (RAK) pola Faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor. Varietas (V) terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu : V1= Varietas dena 1, V2= Varietas devon 1, V3=Varietas grobongan. Faktot kedua adalah dosis bokasi ampas tebu (D) terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu :D0=0 kg/ha, D1= 1 kg/ha, D2= 2 kg/ha, dan D3= 3 kg/ha. Hasil penelitian uji F pada analisis ragam menunjukkan varietas kedelai berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman pada 14, 21, dan 28 HST, jumlah duan 28 dan 35 HST, berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman pada 35 HST, jumlah daun 14, 21 HST, serta berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap parameter lainnya. Pemberian dosis pupuk bokasi ampas tebu berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman pada 14, 21 dan 35 HST, jumlah daun pada 21 dan 28 HST, bobot kering per tanaman. Berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman 28 HST, bobot kering pertanaman, dan berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap jumlah daun pada 14 dan 35 HST, jumlah polong berisi, berat biji kering, dan produksi per hektar, secara interaksi maka varietas dan dosis pupuk bokasi ampas tebu berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun pada umur 14, 21, 28 dan 35 HST.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of eggshell powder application and manure on the growth and production of watermelon on meulaboh peat soils and whether these two factors were real or not. This research was conducted in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Teuku Umar Meulaboh University from December 2018 to April 2019. This study used a 4 x 4 factorial randomized block design with three replications. The egg shell powder (C) factor consisted of four the levels are: C0 = control, C1 = 300 kg / ha (2.25 g / polybag), C2 = 400kg / ha (3 / polybag), C3 = 500 kg / ha (3.75 g / polybag) (Syam et al., 2014). Factor manure (K) consists of four levels, namely: K0 = control, K1 = 50 tons / ha (0.375 kg / polybag), K2 = 100 tons / ha (0.75 kg / polybag), K3 = 150 tons / ha (1,125 kg / polybag) Observation parameters include; plant length (cm), number of leaves, age of flowering, fruit length (cm), diameter of fruit (cm), weight of fruit (kg), production of tons / ha. The results showed that the dose of eggshell had a significant effect on increasing soil pH, a very significant effect on the length of the 15 HST plant but had no significant effect on the length of the 30 HST plant, the number of leaves 15 and 30 HST, and the flowering phase. Significantly affect the fruit length and fruit diameter. However, no significant effect on fruit weight and tons / ha production. Manure has a very significant effect on the length of watermelon plants aged 15 HST. However, the effect was not significant at the age of 30 HST. Significant effect on the number of watermelon leaves aged 15 HST, however, very significant effect on the age of 30 HST. Very significant influence on watermelon flowers and very significant effect on fruit length, diameter, fruit weight, and tons / ha production. Abstract

The use of shells ash as an ameliorant could raise the pH, reduce degradation of nutrients and can supply nutrients in the peat soil. The shells ash were composed of calcium carbonate (CaCO3), which amounted to 53.05% CaCO3, Na at 0.08%, P 0.05%, 0.05% Mg, Fe 0.02%, Cu 16.36% , 15.76% Zn and 0.1% Si. This study aims to determine the response of mustad plants in peatlands with granting of shell clams ash. This research was conducted at the Experimental Farm Faculty of Agriculture, University of Teuku Umar, Meulaboh, Aceh Barat in April to June 2016. The research design used was a randomized block design (RAK)3 x 5 factorial design with three replications, ie varieties factor with 3 levels (V1 = Tosakan, V2 = Dora and V3 = Takana 801 and dose shells with 5 levels (D0 = 0 ton ha-1, D1 = 2 ton ha-1, D2 = 4 t ha-1, D3 = 6 ton ha-1 and D4 = 8 ton ha-1). There is no interaction between the dose of shells ash and varieties of all the observed variables, but the best dose of shellsash was 2 ton ha-1 and the best varieties was Tosakan. Abstract

Acidic dry land generally has poor chemical elements, such as high Al content, low organic matter content, low nutrient content, especially N, P, K, Ca, and Mg, and low pH. This study was conducted to assess the effect of organic matter on soil chemical elements on dry land in the district Ingin Jaya, Aceh Besar. This research using randomized block design (RBD) non factorial with three replications. The factors that studied are organic materials include: compost (B1), manure (B2), and green manure (B3). The results showed that added of compost, manure, and green manure with a dose of 20 tons per hectare is very significantly increased P-available, significantly increasing the pH and C organic, and the effect is not significant to the CEC, N-total. The highest content of P-available, pH, and C-Organic are found in the treatment of organic compost.Keywords: Acidic dry land, organic matter, soil chemical properties.

Abstract

Gold mining activities in Aceh Jaya District could lead to mercury contamination of the environment.This research was conducted to assess the status of mercury in Krueng Sabee river as impacted bygold processing waste dumped into the river in the District of Aceh Jaya. Water, sediment, andaquatic animal (biota) samples were taken at three locations along the river, i.e. downstream, half-waycenter, and upstream. Mercury concentrations in the samples were analyzed by using SNI 02-0086-2005 method for sediment and biota, and SNI 01-3554-2006 method for water, and measured usingAtomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). The results were then compared to water qualitystandards for mercury Indonesian Govermental Regulation (KepMenLH No.02/ MenKLH/ 2002, PP.No. 18 Tahun 1999, dan BPOM No. 3725/ B/ SK/ VII/ 1989). The results showed that mercury levelsin Krueng Sabee river at all locations sampled during wet and dry seasons were below that of thewater quality standards, whereas mercury concentrations in sediment and biota samples at allsampling locations in Krueng Sabee river were above the maximum contaminant level. High levelsof mercury in the aquatic environment may pose a health concern for the community living in thecontaminated area.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk efektivitas dosis pemberian monosodium glutamat (MSG) dan npk terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kedelai  (Glycine max (L.) Merill.)”, yang dilaksanakan di lahan percobaan Universitas Teuku Umar, Oktober 2019 sampai dengan Januari 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan   acak   kelompok   faktorial (RAKF) dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah dosis monosodium glutmat meliputi dosis 0 gram/polybag (M0), dosis 3 gram/polybag (M1), dosisi 6 gram/polybag (M2), dosisi 9 gram/polybag (M3) Faktor kedua adalah NPK meliputi dosis 0 kg/ha (N0), 125 kg/ha (N1), 250 kg/ha (N2). Hasil penelitian uji F pada analisis ragam menunjukkan Dosis monosodium glutamat berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman 30 HST, dan berpengaruh sangat nyata pada parameter tinggi tanaman 45 HST, diameter batang 30 dan 45 HST, jumlah polong, berat 100 bji, namun tidak berbeda nyata pada tinggi tanaman 15 HST dan diameter batang 15 HST. Dosis 6 gram/polybag (M2) merupakan dosis terbaik dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kedelai. Dosis NPK tidak berpengaruh nyata pada parameter tinggi tanaman pada 15, 30, 45 HST, diameter batang 15 dan 30 HST, dan berat 100 bji, namun berpengaruh sangat nyata pada parameter diameter batang 45 HST, jumlah polong. Interaksi dosis Monosodium Glutamat dan NPK berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman 45 HST, dan jumlah polong pertanaman. Secara interaksi terbaik menunjukan dosis Monosodium glutamat 6 gram/polybag dengan pemberian dosis NPK 250 kg/ha dapat meningkatkan jumlah polong per tanaman.

Abstract

This research to know influence of some and concentration hormonal growth organic to the growth cutting of peppercorn real and whet her there is  interaction both of factor.  This research have been executed by in Garden Agriculture Faculity of Teuku  Umar University Meulaboh,  Aceh Barat  Started 14 August up to 27 October 2015. This research to used is a randomized  blokc desigh (RBD) with  3 x 4 and  3 with  there replications. The first factor consist of some hormonal growth organic of 3 level extract Shallot, young coconut water, and extract bean sprouts. Second factor consisting of 4 level that is concentration of some hormonal growth organic of  0% (contro), 15 %, 25% and 35%. The result showed that the influence of some organic hormonal growth were affected to amount of shoot, long of shoot, root, and root wight. This research show that the concentration some hormonal growth affeected to amount of shoot, long of shoot, root, long of root and root wight.
