Abstract

Experiment is important in physics to explain and describe a physical phenomenon and its characteristics. For this reason physics teachers should conduct the physics experiment activities to motivate students in learning and to improve scientific process skills, scientific attitudes, and student understanding in physics learning. However, in the experiment activities of physics were found many problems such as experiment equipment was insufficient, there is no equipment, equipment can’t operated well, and so on. An alternative solution to solve this problem was to do the video analysis and modeling tool tracker on physics teacher. The purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of the implementation the tracker video analysis and modeling tool on physics teachers. The research design was pretest and postest for one group sample. The sample of research was 26 physics teachers of Physics MGMP teacher in Agam district of West Sumatera. Instruments to collect the data consist of pretest and postest sheet, performance assessment sheet of video analysis product and questionnaires sheet of physics teachers. Data analysis techniques include descriptive statistical analysis, normality test, homogeneity test and paired comparison test for one group sample. From the data analysis, it can be stated that: 1). the average value of video analysis products from physics teachers is 85.10 and this value can be classified into very good category, 2). the average value of responses of physics teachers on training implementation of video analysis and tool modeling is 73.81 and this average value can be grouped into good category, and 3). the implementation of video analysis training of object motion video by using tracker software is effective to improve the understanding the physics MGMP teachers in Agam district on learning material of tracker video analysis and modeling tool, but the average value of understanding still in the low category.

Abstract

Learning of physics according to the curriculum 2013 emphasizes the comprehensive achievement of student competence, so that the equality between soft skills and hard skills is formed. The role of learning materials especially physics subject is very important to support implementation of curriculum for physics learning. In fact, the knowledge and skills content of physics learning materials used students in school is more than attitude content. Development of physics learning materials integrated the values of emotional intelligence is the alternative solution of this problem. This research use Research and Development (R&D) method. This paper explains results of preliminary and main field testing of the physics learning materials integrated the values of emotional intelligence. This product has a validity value of around 85.83 or a very valid category. Based on data analysis, there are two results from this research. First, the practicality value of product according to teacher and student are an average score of 88.1 and 82 respectively or very high category.  Second, the physics learning materials integrated emotional intelligence values is effective to improve the student competences in learning. The results of research indicate that the emotional intelligence value developed in physics material is feasible using in physics learning than it able to realize the comprehensive competence achievement.

Abstract

The wind is one of the important parameters in meteorology to determine weather and climate. It can be determined by using two quantity measured, such us speed and direction of wind. Based on the result of measuring will obtain important information that can be used for disaster prevention. For measuring of wind speed, this reserch design a measurement using optocoupler sensor to determine wind speed with change of sensor resistance. The sensor is conected to an electronic circuit and a microcontroller Arduino Uno Rev3 and it is programmed to get the desired results. Based on data analysis, there are two result of research namely performance and design specifications. The instrument consists of two parts; the electronic circuits and mechanical parts making up the system of measuring instruments of wind speed. Based on the results conducted, the accuracy of this measuring instrument is 91.39% with 3.22% error percentage and the accuracy of the instrument was 98.9% with 1:11% relative error percentage.Key words: sensor optocoupler, microcontroler arduino

Abstract

The objective of this research is to determine both performance and design spesification of Salinitymeter and Turbiditymeter. This system combined from several sub systems such as electrode and Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) sensor, microcontroller Arduino, Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) and Light Emiting Diode (LED) indicators.  The variable of this research are salinity and turbidity. The result of this research divided in two parts. The first is performance spesification, this system using copper electrode as salinity sensor and LDR as turbidity sensor. This consist of two plastic box which are circuit box and sample box. The second is design spesification that consist of some data such as accuration and precision. Salinity measurement has accuration 95.71% with precision 97.22%, Turbidity measurement has 96.25 % of accuration and 97.69% of precision.Key words: salinity, turbidity, electrode sensor

Abstract

he purpose of this research is to determine the performance specifications and design specifications of viscometer. Kind of this research is laboratory experiment. The result is the design of the measurement system consists of an UGN3503 sensor as the sensing iron ball and an electronic box, the system have the average relative accuracy is 96% with an average of 0.9706. The viscosity values for oil is 10,237 Pa s  and cooking oil of 2,286 Pa s.Key words : viscocity, arduino uno328, hall effect UGN3503

Abstract

Teachers for physics subjects is an avant garde of the best quality learning in a class, especially the schools at Padang Pariaman Regency. In consequence, the teacher must have the reliable professional competencies, namely the abilities and skills to develop teaching materials that are in accordance with student characteristics and contextual (based on natural phenomena in the environment). In fact, physics teachers have not been able to develop the teaching materials that compatible with student and contextual. The purpose of an assistance program is to become the abilities and skills of teachers to develop teaching materials based on video analysis of physical phenomena and virtual laboratories. There are several methods used in realizing the objectives of the activity, namely presentation, discussion and practice. Presentations are used to provide knowledge and insight to teachers about teaching materials, physical phenomena videos, video analysis and virtual laboratories. Group and class discussions are conducted to address the problems of teachers both theoretically and practically. The teacher does to design, develop and produce physics phenomena videos, video analysis, virtual laboratories and teaching materials by using practical methods. There are seven results and outcomes of an assistance program, namely 11 Student Worksheets as teaching materials, 5 videos about physical phenomena, 5 virtual laboratories, the results of test about developing teaching materials with very good categories, the response of participants about an assistance program with good to very good categories, the implementation of student worksheets products in learning can improve student activities and suggestions from participants about the importance of follow-up activities.

Abstract

AbstrakPenyinaran matahari sebagai sumber energi yang penting bagi kehidupan merupakan salah satu parameter cuaca yang penting untuk diukur. Penelitian ini mendesain dan membuat sistem pengukuran intensitas dan durasi penyinaran matahari menggunakan mikrokontroller ATMEGA328 Arduino Uno dan satu buah sensor LDR yang pergerakannya diatur menggunakan motor stepper. Tampilan sistem menggunakan LCD dan PC. Data yang diukur disimpan secara otomatis dalam format *xls. Sistemmemiliki ketelitian rata-rata pengukuran intensitas cahaya matahari sebesar 0.9993 dengan persentase ketepatan rata-rata ialah 98,79%. Pada pengukuran durasi penyinaran matahari, sistem memiliki ketepatan rata-rata pengukuran sebesar 93,876%.Keywords: penyinaran matahari, durasi, intensitas, sistem pengukuran, motor stepper

Abstract

This research is conducted because of the low competence of Physics students. One of factor causes this problem that the using of learning materials, have not contributed to achieve all competencies namely knowledge, spiritual attitudes, social attitudes, and skills. The purpose of research is to determine the effect of applying a comprehensive intelligence handout in inquiry learning model to improve the competence of Physics students at SMAN 1 Padang. The type research is a quasi-experimental (Quasi Experiment) with Randomized Control Group Only Design. The population was all students of class X MIA SMAN 1 Padang enrolled in the Academic Year 2015/2016. Sampling was done by cluster random sampling. Samples were class X MIA1 as an experimental class and class X MIA 9 as the control class. The data include knowledge, spiritual attitudes, social attitudes, and skills competences. The research instrument are achievement test for knowledge, observation sheet spiritual attitudes and social attitudes, and the rubric for the skill. Data analyzed using (t test) with significant 0.05. The results of research is that "There is a meaningful impact of the implementation a comprehensive intelligence handout in inquiry learning model to improve the competence of Physics students at SMAN 1 Padang for of knowledge, attitude, spiritual, social attitudes, and skills significancy  of 0.05

Abstract

The human resources of Indonesia was expected having knowledge and character through the 2013 curriculum. The goal of this research were to determine validity, description, practicality, and effectiveness of the use of comprehensive teaching materials for senior high school. Kind of research was Research and Development (R & D). This study design limited testing before and after the treatment given. The object of research was a charged with comprehensive learning materials. The data collection instruments used in the form of validation sheet, test sheet practicality, effectiveness test sheet achievement test, the observation sheet spiritual values, social values observation sheets, and student skill assessment sheets. Analysis techniques of product and data were validity, practicality, effectiveness of product. Based on data analysis that has been done to that instructional materials have high validity with a value of 88,71. There were results of this research. First, design appropriate instructional materials have a structure that was a good teaching materials. Second, value practicality of teaching materials by teachers and students were 88,90 and 82,47. Abstract

Students competence in physics lesson are not good reachable. One of the factor cause not reaching the students competency is using learning materials that have not been functioning as supporting appropriate learning activities for students both on the aspect of spiritual attitudes, social attitudes, knowledge, and skills. The purpose of research are to determine the effect of comprehensive intelligence aspects in learning materials to the achievement of the student competency in physics lessons at grade X SMAN 3 Padang. Type of research is Quasi Experiment with Randomized Control Group Only Design. The population of this research were the students grade X MIA SMAN 3 Padang who were registered in the 2015/2016. Sampling technique was Purposive Sampling. The data were analyzed using Chi Square test at significance level 0,05 and  degrees of freedom dk 1. Results of research show that using comperehsive intelligence aspect in learning materials has given significant effect  toward achievement of competency students knowledge in physics lessons in grade X SMAN 3 Padang, and there is no significant effect of comprehensive intelligence aspect in learning materials toward student competency in physics lessons at grade X SMAN 3 Padang to the student of spiritual attitudes, social attitudes, and skills
