Abstract

Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) including the Cichlidae family from Africa. Measuring 200 - 400 grams and omnivorous, it can consume vegetable and animal feed. Palm oil waste has a high enough protein so that it can be used as a source of vegetable protein in fish feed. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of palm oil waste feed on the survival rate, growth and feed conversion of tilapia. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with the number of treatments 3 namely A = Palm Oil Dregs (POD) plus fine bran, B = POD plus fish meal, C = POD plus soy flour; with 3 replications. The parameters observed were survival, growth and Feed Convertion Rate (FCR). Stocking density for each tilapia 10 individuals / container. The results showed the survival of tilapia in treatments A and B gave the same results (86.66%) and treatment C (80%). The results of analysis of variance showed that the treatment did not significantly affect the survival of tilapia. The growth parameters, both in absolute growth and growth rates of tilapia during the study showed that the treatment had a significant effect on the growth of tilapia and the best treatment was treatment B, while treatments A and C were not significantly different. The FCR obtained was treatment A (1.27), B (1.18) and C (1.16). The results of variance analysis showed that the treatment had no significant effect on the tilapia FCR.

Abstract

Evaluation of the implementation of good management of fish hatchery (CPIB) at the shrimp hatchery unit of the Departmen of marine and fishery in south Sulawesi province in Bojo, Barru regensy. This research was conducted in February 2019 until April 2019 at the shrimp hatchery until of the Departmen of Marine and Fisheries in south Sulawesi in Bojo, Barru regency. The hatchery unit is a barometer of other shrimp hatcheries in Barru regency in particular and those in South Sulawesi province in general. Based on the results of research using the analysis method (t test) and linear regression shows that the implementation of good management of fish hatchery (CPIB) has an excellent effect on shrimp seed production and internal management factors that affect almost 70% of successful seed production are water quality management, master management, feed management, larvae management and personnel management and the remaining around 30% of production is influenced by external factors such as environment and others. To increase the production of shrimp seed in hatchery units, is it necessary to seek for adjustments and performance enhancements and still be giuded by the method of good hatchery (CPIB) in implementing the 5 production management steps as internal factors greatly determine the success level of seed production both in quantity and quality. Abstract

This research was conducted in August-September 2019 in three (3) subdistricts in Tanete Riattang Timur District, namely Waetuo, Panyula and Toro. The objectives of this study is to formulate priority management strategies for vaname shrimp ponds against the distribution of parasitic diseases. Data were collected by measuring water quality directly at each pond and interviewing shrimp farmers, Head of Marine and Fisheries Agency, fishery extension agents and lecturers of Marine and Fisheries Polytechnics of Bone in the field fish disease. Data were analyzed using both descriptive analysis and Process Hierarchy Analysis (AHP). The results showed that management of vaname shrimp ponds against parasitic diseases distribution was still lack of attention. Vaname shrimp pond management strategies against parasitic diseases distribution in the District of Tanete Riattang Timur, Bone regency, South Sulawesi was directed at the aspect of water quality. According to this study, the aspects to be improved were water quality management, education and experience of farmers, feed management, the use of SPF and SPR certified fries and biosecurity.

Abstract

Silvofishery (silvocrabs) is a traditional technology aquaculture system that combines fishery business (crab cultivation) with mangrove planting. This study aims to: (1) analyze the feasibility of mangrove land for silvofishery activities, especially in crabs in terms of physical, chemical and biological aspects of the Lantebung mangrove area. (2) analyze silvofishery models (forms) for crabs that can be applied and are in accordance with the Lantebung Mangrove Area. The study was carried out by direct observation methods in the field by taking data on physical, chemical, and biological parameters using direct measurement methods and referring to several other literature. Based on the results of the analysis of the 3 stations observed, station 1 and station 2 are classified as quite feasible while station 3 is classified as very feasible to support silvocrabs development activities. So that the cultivation of silvocrabs is feasible to be developed in the Lantebung Mangrove Area precisely on.

Abstract

The aims of this research are; (1) Ecological analysis of coastal waters for development of cultivating mangrove crab (2) Assessing the condition of mangrove forest ecosystems, (3) testing prototypes of technology for crab cultivation businesses in mangrove forest areas. Primary data includes physical and chemical parameters as well as mangrove forest conditions. The results of observations of the condition of the mangrove area, for the Important Index Value (INP) of mangroves, Rhizopora, sp sampling I (191.2), sampling II (181.7), sampling III (205.0), this shows that in sampling III for The Rhizopora sp type has a greater role in maintaining the sustainability of the ecosystem. For the dominance index value, the value for all stations is 0.02 – 0.03. This shows that there is no species that dominates other species or the community is in a stable condition. Meanwhile, the species diversity index value in the entire sampling area has low species diversity, namely 0 < H < 2. The results of physical observations of waters, the results of tidal data processing using the Admiralty method show that the mean sea level (MSL) is 200.41 cm, The lowest low sea level (LLWL) is 112.86 cm and the highest high sea level (HHWL) is 279.41 cm, the tidal range (range) is 166.36 cm. From the value of the Formzahl number (F value = 1.89) it can be concluded that the type of tide around the observation location is a mixed tidal type that tends to be single daily. The results of observations of water salinity parameters at the research location ranged from 25.0 - 27.1 ‰ with an average value of average 26.0 5 ‰, pH, nitrite (NO2), nitrate (NO3) and phosphate (PO4) in water. The average pH value of 6.90, the average nitrite content value of 0.020, the average nitrate content value of 0.236 and the average phosphate content of 0.145 indicate good water quality for mariculture purposes, and also indicate the condition of the waters that have not been polluted. The growth of mud crabs fed with crab food had a good growth effect compared to those given trash fish feed.
