Abstract

The purpose of this study was to assess the ability of 0.2% and 0.4% of cellulolytic bacteria B-6 as a probiotic source to increase egg weight and physical quality of egg in Lohmann Brown laying hens aged 40-48 weeks. Hens used in the research is laying hens Lohmann Brown aged 40 weeks as many as 36 heads with homogeneous body weight. The design used in this study was Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with three treatments, namely the provision of drinking water with out the addition of cellulolitik B-6 bacteria as control (A), drinking water with the addition of 0.2% cellulolitik B- 6 bacteria (B), and drinking water with the addition of 0.4% cellulolitik B-6 bacteria (C). Each treatment consisted of six replications and each replicate using of two hens. The variables observed were egg weight, percentage of egg whites, percentage of egg yolk, and percentage of egg shell. The results showed that in laying hens treatment B and C were egg weight, percentage of egg yolk, and percentage of egg shell significantly defferent (P<0.05) higher than laying hens treatment A, while laying hens treatment B and C percentage of egg white significantly defferent (P<0,05) more low compared to laying hens that get treatment A. It was conclude that giving 0.2% and 0.4% probiotics Cellulolitik B-6 in drinking water can increase egg weight, egg yolk percentage, eggshell percentage, while the percentage of egg whites decreased. Abstract

Nutrition in eggs is very important to know to improve the public health. This study aims to determine the effect of the level of extract of garlic water (Allium sativum) on protein, fat and cholesterol contents of laying chicken eggs of Lohmann Brown aged 22-30 weeks. This research was conducted for 3 months at laying chicken farm in Dajan Peken Village, Tabanan Subdistrict, Tabanan Regency. 36 laying chickens of Lohmann Brown with a homogeneous weight were raised in 18 squares of colony batray cages. The design used in this study was a complete randomized design (RAL) with 3 treatments and 6 replications.The treatment consisted of drinking water without additional garlic water extract (B0) as control, drinking water with 3% extract of garlic water (B1), and drinking water with additional garlic extract of 6% (B2). The variables observed in this study were dry weight of egg yolks, egg yolk protein content, fat content and yolk cholesterol content. The results showed that on treatment of B1 and B2 significantly (P <0.05) increased the yolk protein content compared with B0 as the control. But in the fat content and yolk cholesterol decreased compared with chicken that was not given garlic water extract (Allium sativum) B0 as control. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the giving of garlic extract (Allium sativum) with 3% level and 6% through drinking water can increase protein content and decrease fat content and cholesterol of chicken egg yolks of Lohmann Brown aged 22-30 weeks. Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pemberian probiotik bakteri selulolitik isolat rumen kerbau melalui air minum terhadap penampilan itik bali. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan dan enam kali ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah: air minum tanpa kultur bakteri selulolitik sebagai kontrol (A); air minum dengan 0,2 % kultur bakteri selulolitik (B); dan air minum dengan 0,4 %  kultur bakteri selulolitik (C). Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah konsumsi ransum, konsumsi air minum, pertambahan berat badan, berat badan akhir dan feed convertion ratio (FCR). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa konsumsi ransum dan air minum pada perlakuan B dan C lebih rendah dibandingkan kontrol (A), namun pada perlakuan C lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan perlakuan B namun berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05). Pertambahan berat badan dan berat badan akhir itik yang diberi perlakuan B dan C nyata lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan perlakuan A, begitu pula pada perlakuan C nyata lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan perlakuan B. FCR pada itik pada perlakuan B dan C nyata lebih rendah dibandingkan kontrol (A), begitu pula dengan perlakuan C nyata lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan perlakuan B. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian kultur isolat bakteri selulolitik rumen kerbau sebagai sumber probiotik melalui air minum pada level 0,20% dan 0,40% dapat meningkatkan penampilan itik bali.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ransum yang mengandung ampas tahu yang difermentasi dengan Saccharomyces sp. sebagai sumber probiotik terhadap komposisi fisik karkas broiler umur 6 minggu.Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan enam kali ulangan. Ketiga perlakuan tersebut adalah : ayam yang diberi ransum tanpa ampas tahu terfermentasi oleh khamir Saccharomyces sp. kontrol (A), ayam yang diberi ransum dengan penambahan 5% ampas tahu yang difermentasi oleh khamir Saccharomyces sp.(B) dan Ayam yang diberi ransum dengan penambahan 10% ampas tahu difermentasi oleh khamir Saccharomyces sp. (C). Variabel yang diamati adalah persentase daging karkas, persentase tulang karkas, persentase lemak subkutan termasuk kulit, dan konsumsi lisin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ransum yang mengandung ampas tahu difermentasi dengan khamir Saccrharomyces sp. sebagai sumber probiotik di level 5% - 10% dalam ransum nyata (P<0,05) dapat meningkatkan daging karkas dan konsumsi lisin bandingkan dengan kontrol (A). Persentase tulang  menunjukkan hasil yang tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05) dibandingkan kontrol (A), persentase lemak subkutan termasuk kulit menunjukan hasil berbeda nyata (P<0,05) lebih tinggi di bandingkan kontrol (A), dan penggunaan ampas tahu difermentasi khamir Saccharomyces sp.pada level 5%-10% dalam ransum dapat meningkatkan konsumsi asam amino lisin. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengaruh pemberian ransum yang mengandung ampas tahu difermentasi dengan kultur Saccharomyces sp. pada level 5% - 10% dapat meningkatkan persentase daging karkas, konsumsi lisin dan menurunkan persentase lemak subkutan termasuk kulit, namun belum berpengaruh terhadap persentase tulang karkas ayam broiler umur 6 minggu.

Abstract

The use of probiotics in the ration can increase the activity of enzymes and absorb of feed nutrient. Probiotics is a feed additive that can be given in ration or drinking water in the form of microorganisms that can live in the digestive tract, in symbiosis with the existing micro-organisms, is particularly useful and able to promote growth as well as the feed efficiency without undergoing the process of absorb. Based on the above, this study aimed to determine the effect of buffalo rumen cellulolytic bacteria in drinking water as a source of probiotics on the carcass weight of the 8-week aged Bali ducks. This research was conducted at Dajan Peken Village of Tabanan, Bali. The design used was completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments and six replications.The variables measured were the slaughter weight, the carcass weight, the carcass percentage, consumption of rations and drinking water consumption. The three treatments namely: drinking water without cellulolytic bacteria as the control (A)  drinking water of 0.20% cellulolytic bacterial culture (B), and drinking water of 0.40% cellulolytic bacterial culture (C). The results showed that the administration of bacterial culture of cellulolytic of 0.20% and 0.40% through drinking water significantly (P <0.05) could increase the slaughter weight, the carcass weight, and the carcass percentage. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the administration of probiotic bacteria isolates of cellulolytic buffalo rumen through drinking water at the level of 0.20% and 0.40% could increase the carcass of the 8 week aged Bali ducks.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak air daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) fermentasi pada air minum ayam Lohmann Brown terhadap kualitas fisik telur. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan dan enam ulangan, tiap ulangan menggunakan tiga ekor ayam Lohmann Brown umur 80 minggu. Ketiga perlakuan tersebut adalah ayam Lohmann Brown yang diberikan air minum tanpa penambahan ekstrak air daun kelor fermentasi sebagai kontrol (K0), ayam Lohmann Brown yang diberikan penambahan 2% ekstrak air daun kelor fermentasi melalui air minum (K1), dan ayam Lohmann Brown yang diberikan penambahan 4% ekstrak air daun kelor fermentasi melalui air minum (K2). Variabel yang diamati pada penelitian ini meliputi rataan berat telur, persentase putih telur, persentase kuning telur, persentase kulit telur, dan tebal kulit telur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rataan berat telur, persentase kuning telur, persentase kulit telur, tebal kulit telur yang diberi ekstrak air daun kelor fermentasi nyata (P<0,05) lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan perlakuan kontrol, sedangkan pada persentase putih telur nyata (P<0,05) lebih rendah dibandingkan perlakuan kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak air daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) fermentasi pada ayam Lohman Brown dengan level 2% dan 4% dapat meningkatkan rataan berat telur, persentase kuning, persentase kulit telur, dan tebal kulit telur. Sedangkan pemberian ekstrak air daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) fermentasi dengan level 2% dan 4% dapat menurunkan persentase putih telur.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to study the effect of supplemented cellulolytic bacteria B-6 as a probiotic sourches in drinking water on the protein, fat, cholesterol and egg yolk color contents in egg of Lohmann Brown laying hens aged 40-48 week. The research was conducted in Dajan Peken Village, Tabanan, Bali, for three months. The design used in this study was Completely Randomized Design with three treatments and six replications. The treatments were: drinking water without probiotic addition of B-6 Cellulolytic bacteria as control (A), drinking water with probiotics of B-6 Cellulolytic bacteria as much as 0,2% (B), and drinking water with probiotic of B-6 Cellulolytic bacteria with 0,4% (C). The variables observed in this study were egg yolk protein, fat, cholesterol and egg yolk color. The results showed that the egg yolk protein and egg yolk color at treatment of B and C were significantly higher (P<0,05) than those of A treatment, while egg yolk fat and egg yolk cholesterol at treatment of B and C were significantly lower (P<0,05) than those of A treatment. It can be concluded that the supplemented of 0,2% and 0,4% cellulolytics bacteria B-6 as a probiotic sourches in drinking water improvement yolk color and protein content of egg, but decreasing fat and cholesterol content in egg of Lohmann Brown laying hens. Abstract

The purpose this study was to assess the provision of 5% water extract of leaves katuk (Sauropus androgynus) and the water extract of leaves of Moringa (Moringa aloivera Lam) in drinking water can increase the weight of beef and broiler chicken carcasses. The design used in this study is completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments and six replications. These three treatments are chickens given drinking water without the water extract of leaves of Moringa or katuk as control (A), chicken by water extract of leaves katuk 5% through drinking water (B), Chicken by water extract of leaves of Moringa 5% through drinking water (C). The variables measured were: slaughter weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage, the consumption of protein and lysine consumption. The results showed that pieces of broilers fed extracts of leaves katuk 5% water through drinking water (B) and broilers were given a water extract of leaves of Moringa 5% through drinking water (C), respectively 17,47% and 17,20% were significantly different (P<0.05) higher than the untreated A. chicken carcass weight of broilers were treated (B) and broilers are treated (C), respectively 25,62% and 25,16% were significantly different (P<0.05) than chickens treated A. Percentage of broiler carcasses were treated B and broilers are treated C, respectively 6,95% and 6,79% were significantly different (P<0.05) higher compared to treatment A. protein consumption of broilers were treated B and broilers are treated C, respectively 2,03% and 1,80% were significantly different (P<0.05) higher compared to the treatment of A. and the consumption of lysine broilers were treated B and broilers are treated C, respectively 1,87% and 1,77% were significantly different (P<0.05) higher in comparison with treatment A. Based this study it can be concluded that the provision of 5% of katuk leaves (Sauropus androgynus) and/or Moringa leaves (Moringa aloivera Lam) water extract in drinking water can increase the slaughter weight and carcasses of broiler.

Abstract

Tinggi kandungan serat kasar pada dedak padi berpengaruh pada efiesiensi penggunaan ransum, oleh karena itu pemberian dedak padi pada ransum harus dibatasi. Keterbatasan penggunan dedak padi disebabkan karena tingginya kandungan serat kasar, yang berdampak pada menurunnya kecernaannya.Oleh karena itu ransum yang menggunakan komponen  dedak padi yang cukup tinggi (20-30%) perlu dilakukan rekayasa bioteknologi fermentasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan khamir Saccharomyces spyang diisolasi dari tape sebagai inokulan fermentasi dedak padiuntukmeningkatkannilai nutrisi dan nilai cerna dedak padi. Rancangan yang diamati adalah rancangan Acak Lengkap  (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 6 kali ulangan. Ketiga perlakuan tersebut adalah dedak padi tanpa fermentasi (A),dedak padi terfermentasi dengan 0,20% kultur khamir Saccharomyces sp (B),dedak padi terfermentasi dengan 0,40%dan kultur khamir Saccharomyces sp (C). Variabel yang diamati adalah kandungan nutrient yang diamati adalah  bahan kering, bahan organik, protein kasar,dan serat kasar,koefisien cerna yang diamati adalah koefisien cerna bahan kering, bahan organik, protein kasar, dan serat kasar.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kandungan bahan kering dan bahan organik dedak padi perlakuan B dan C tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05) dibandingkan dengan kontrol (A). Namun kandungan protein kasar dan serat kasar meningkat nyata (P<0,05) dibandingkan di kontrol. Fermentasidedak padi perlakuan B dan C nyata (P<0,05) dapat meningkatkan koefisien cerna bahan kering bahan organik, protein kasar dan serat kasar dedak padi dibandingkan di kontrol (A). Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa fermentasi dedak padi yang menggunakan kulturkhamir Saccharomyces spyang diisolasi dari ragi tape dapat meningkatkan kandungan protein kasar kasar dan serat kasar serta koefisien cerna bahan kering, bahan organik, protein kasar, dan koefisien cernaseratkasar dedak padi.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to obtain the optimum level of supplementation of Saccharomyces spp.G-7 culture as a source of probiotics in the ration against performance of broilers aged 2-6 weeks. About 36 chickens were chosen in average 2 week old broiler chickens with homogeneous weight, without considering the sex of the chickens. Complete randomized design (CRD) method used with three treatments and six repetitions. The third treatment was chicken which were given basal rations without supplementation of cultures of Saccharomyces spp.G-7 as a control (A), with 0,20% supplementation of cultures of Saccharomyces spp.G-7 (B), and 0.40% supplementation of cultures of Saccharomyces spp . G-7 (C). Each experimental unit were filled with two of 2 weeks of age broiler chickens with homogeneous weight. Variables which were observed including: ration consumption, water consumption, final body weight, weight gain, "Feed Conversion Ratio" (FCR). Based on the results above that supplementation of cultures of Saccharomyces spp.G-7 at the level of 0,20% and 0,40% in the basal diet (P<0.05) was obviously increased the feed consumption, water consumption, final body weight, weight gain , and efficiency of feed utilization compared to control. It is concluded that supplementation of 0,20% Saccharomyces spp.G-7 culture as a source of probiotics in diets were increased performance of broiler aged 2-6 week.
