Abstract

Empowerment of Citrus Farmers in Batukaang Village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency Batukaang village is a citrus producing village located in Kintamani District. Almost all of the people in this village work as citrus farmers. During harvest season, citrus price fluctuates and all the farmers must sell their produce at low price. The study aims to assess the state of empowerment of citrus farmers based on “4 developments” theory. The study uses descriptive analysis method and involved 60 respondents determined through simple random sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that the condition of human development is in the fair category (35%), the condition of business development is in the poor category (41.7%), the condition of institutional development is in the excellent category (33.3%) and the condition of the environmental development is in the poor category (76,6%). It is recommended that extension agents should be more enthusiastic in guiding citrus farmers by presenting new innovations and information more frequently as well as spending more time in assisting the farmers. Citrus farmers should start processing their produce into a processed product to increase the price of the citrus and to avoid the price impact of the harvest. Farmers need to maintain their condition in institutional development and to use environmentally friendly inputs for the sustainability of agriculture in the area.

Abstract

Abstract Profile of Labour Coconut Shell Handicraft Industry by Eka Lestari Mandiri Company in Abang Village, Abang District, Karangasem Regency This study aimed to determine the profile of the workforce in coconut shell crafts industry Eka Lestari Mandiri viewed from the aspect of demography, economic aspects, technical aspects, reason for working as a craftsman and barriers to work. The method used is the method of direct interviews with 30 respondents were chosen deliberately. The analysis used is descriptive analysis. The results show is based on the characteristics of demography, most artisans are in the productive age group were entirely female with marital status 50% were married on average have a dependent child as much as a child. Education level only finished elementary school. Based on the characteristics of the economic aspect, there is a wage level of the smallest wage of Rp. 1,000.00 per unit and the total of Rp. 100,000.00 per unit with an average working hours from 3.0 hours to 5.1 hours per day in which the work as a craftsman is a side job has been working for more than five years. Based on the characteristics of the technical aspects, raw material preparation requires a total time of 45 minutes, on average the manufacture of products takes 15 minutes to 16 hours to finish takes a total of 45 minutes. The main reason respondents worked as craftsmen coconut seen from an internal factor is to fill the spare time while external factors are the work can be done at home craftsmen. Barriers experienced by respondents of students present in the manufacture of technical products and for the respondents craft housewife for religious activities led to a reduced pengerjaaan products that have an impact on the income of the respondents. Abstract

Empowerment of Subak Penarungan as an Agribusiness Institution in PenarunganVillage, Sub-District of Mengwi, Badung Regency The preservation of subak or Balinese irrigation organization is important because itssustainability in Bali based on the Tri Hita Karana concepts. Subak-based economicbusiness is a food-based agribusiness or paddy fields. The studies on empowerment ofsubak as an agribusiness institution aimed to improve the economy and welfare offarmers, so that the agricultural culture is in demand and not abandoned by the SubakPenarungan community. This study aimed to determine (1) the potentials of subakrelated to natural resources, human resources, and financial resources, (2) the effortsmade to empower Subak Penarungan as an agribusiness institution. The research wasconducted in Subak Penarungan, Mengwi Sub-district, Badung Regency. The selectionof research site was done purposively. The population of this study is active members ofSubak Penarungan, amounting to 167 people. The sample size was determined by usingSlovin formula, so the number of respondents was 63 people. The data analysis used adescriptive qualitative analysis method. The findings showed that the potential of Subakpenarungan was in good category with the average score of 3.55, and the results ofresearch on the efforts of empowerment of Subak Penarungan was in good category,with average achievement score of 3.50. Based on the results of this study, it can besuggested to farmers that the assistance in the form of agricultural machine toolsprovided by the government for subak should be utilized properly, so as to increase theirproductivity.

Abstract

The Village Community Empowerment With Traditional Culinary Business in the Group of Boga Ganesha Buleleng The development of fast food must be balanced with the consumption of traditional foods because fast food is allegedly to be a risk factor for the emergence of various diseases. This study aimed to analyze the behavior of IbIKK group of Boga Ganesha. The choice of location of the research was determined purposively with the consideration that the Boga Ganesha is one of the groups to empower the people with the traditional culinary efforts. The method used in collecting the data in this study was interviews with questionnaire instruments. Based on the research results, the potential of the IbIKK of Boga Ganesha is a kosher, hygienic and healthy traditional food processing. Behavior that was demonstrated by the members can be classified into an excellent category (4,6). The achievement of the implementation of the empowerment program that is included in the category of successful (4,2). Empowerment of program aimed to improve the quality of human resources. In this regard, members of the group should implement their skills so that they can open up business opportunities in order to improve the economy of the family. To support this, the facilitator should use the appropriate method so that all participants can obtain information equally.

Abstract

Community Participation in the Urban Farming Program Gang Hijau at RW 03 Kelurahan Cempaka Putih Timur, Jakarta The trend of population growth in urban areas is very rapid, it is estimated that by 2025 there will be around 68% of Indonesia's population living in cities. Population growth due to urbanization creates new problems, namely the amount of food availability decreases and air pollution increases. The urban farming program Gang Hijau is an agricultural program designed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government which is suitable to be applied in urban areas because it does not require large tracts of land for its application. Community participation is needed to achieve the objectives of the urban agriculture program. This research was conducted with the aim of expressing community participation in the implementation and enjoying the results of the Green Gang urban farming program. This research was conducted in the area of ??RW 03, Kelurahan Cempaka Putih Timur by taking a sample of 44 people using the probability sampling method, which is simple random sampling. Data analysis method used is qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the overall community participation in the urban farming program of the Gang Hijau in the RW 03 area is in the high category assessed based on the combined score between participation at the stage of implementation. Physical participation and non-physical participation and participation at the stage of enjoying the outcome with three aspects of social aspects, economic aspects and environmental aspects.

Abstract

Management of Organic Salak Farming System in Nongan Village, Rendang Sub-district, Karangasem Regency Farm management covers the management functions that include: planning, organizing, implementation and monitoring of the production process. This process is related to the plant maintenance to the marketing. It is expected that through the implementation of farm management function, farmers in Subak Abian Kebon will be able to carry out farming activities well and to increase the farmers' income for the common welfare. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of management functions in the salak (snake fruit) farming activities in the Subak Abian Kebon. The location of theresearch was in Subak Abian Kebon of the Nongan Village, Rendang Sub-District, Karangasem Regency, taken by purposive sampling.The total population is 76 people and the number of respondents is 44 people taken based on the Slovin formula. Data analysis used is qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that management functions in farming activities in the Subak of AbianKebon can be classified as very good with the score achievement of 3.9. This is proven by the good farming planning with the achievement score of 4.0, good farming organization with achievement score of4.0, the implementation of farming is very good with achievement score of 4.3 and supervision that can be categorized as moderate, with the achievement score of 3.4. It can be suggested that the subak members should be able to improve supervision on the production quality and the government is expected to pay attention to the market access for subak in order to increase the demand for the fruits considering that Nongan Village is a tourist route to Besakih Temple.

Abstract

The Relation between Bango Soy Sauce Marketing Mix and Purchase Decisions onMillennials Generation in Denpasar City Increasing the soy sauce business every year causes intense competition by producers,including Unilever with its flagship soy sauce product Bango. In recent years, thenumber of Bango ketchup consumers in the millennium is less than that of generationX. Consumer decisions in the purchase of Kecap Bango in the millennium areinfluenced by many factors, one of which is the marketing mix elements.This researchwas conducted by 100 millennial generation respondents in Denpasar City who aimed tofind out the dominant marketing mix elements considered by the millennium generationin buying Bango soy sauce in Denpasar City and analyze the relationship between themarketing mix and purchasing decisions. This research used accidental samplingtechnique with purposive sampling method and analyzed using Rank Spearmancorrelation. The results of this study indicate that the distribution is an element of themarketing mix which is most dominantly considered by the millennial generation inbuying Bango soy sauce. Marketing mix elements that have a significant relationshipwith purchasing decisions are product and distribution.Producers are expected tocontinue to maintain and even develop product quality, diverse features and attractivedesigns so that consumers still trust the product and the marketing target of Bango soysauce is achieved. In addition, producers are expected to maintain and even expanddistribution channels so that consumers can easily get Bango soy sauce and will notmove to other brands.

Abstract

Empowerment of Horticultural Farmers: The Case of Werdhi Guna Farmer Group of Pempatan Village, Rendang District, Karangasem Regency Pempatan Village, Rendang District, Karangasem Regency has great vegetable potential, but farmers have not been able to utilize the condition well. There needs to be empowerment to increase farmer's income and farmer's prosperity. The purpose of this research is to know (1) horticultural potential (2) process of empowering horticulture farmers. This research used qualitative and quantitative analysis methods. The results showed the potential of vegetable horticulture (Olericulture) in Werdhi Guna Farmer Group with the achievement of score 4.2 with the good category meaning that Werdhi Guna Farmer Group has a tropical area and is suitable for horticultural cultivation. Horticultural plants grow with maximum results, seen from the fact that vegetable crops are fertile although obstacles still persist such as the limited availability of water for watering plants. As for the empowerment of farmers, it is of good category with averageachievement score of 3.9 meaning that the farmers play an important role in horticultural cultivation and the importance of government roles given to Werdhi Guna Farmer Group in enhancing knowledge or innovation in agriculture. In this research, it is suggested that farmers in Werdhi Guna Farmer Group are expected to be able to increase their horticultural products in order to be able to compete in the market to improve farmer's welfare, and of course to promote vegetable farming (Olericulture) and the government should pay more attention to horticultural farmers and provide support in the form of aid and training that can make them able to increase their farming.

Abstract

Abstract Marketing Mix Scrub in UD. Sekar Jagat Denpasar Scrub is a type of traditional cosmetics are made from materials crumb fruits and spices that are beneficial to maintain the beauty and smoothness. The materials that can be used as a scrub is yam, avocado, papaya, turmeric, cloves, sandalwood, cocoa, coffee, tea leaves, carrots, fruits and other spices. One company that manufactures scrub is UD. Sekar Jagat.Study aims to determine the marketing mix at UD. Sekar Jagat which includes product, price, distribution, promotion and as well know the constraints faced by the company in implementing the marketing mix. Marketing mix variables include herbal products yam, strawberries, avocado, sandalwood, tea leaves, carrot, coffee, milk, chocolate, carrot, coconut oil, cream, papaya and coconut honey. Setting the selling price based on the retail price and wholesale price. Distribution of products using two channels namely producers to consumers and producers to small traders to consumers. There are two media promotion at Sekar Jagat product that is a direct product promotion and sales. Constraints faced by UD. Sekar Jagat is the price of raw materials depends on the nature and the harvest, the constraints on the distribution of transport media and promotional constraints no promtion online. Advice can be given that farmers collectors add to inventories of raw materials, distribution expanded into tourism sites such as souvenirs Bali. Abstract

Analysis of Consumer Satisfaction of Balado-flavor Peanut with the Trademark of Burung Cendrawasih of UD. Monang At the Balinese Typical Gift Shop of Hawai At present UD. Monang has produced four types of processed nuts. The four types of processed peanuts are kapri peanut, salted peanut, koro nut and balado-flavor peanut. Processed peanuts that have been produced are then distributed to shops, wholesalers, and souvenir outlets/gift shops in Bali. The results of research using the Importance Performance Matrix and CSI showed that consumer satisfaction was categorized as good, with a score of 0.6965 or 69.65%. The CSI value of balado-flavour peanut products with the trademark of Burung Cendrawasih was in the range of 0.61 - 0.80, which means that the satisfaction index meets the satisfaction criteria, but still requires improved performance so that the criteria for the consumer satisfaction index of the product become very satisfied, reaching 100%, or 1.0, while based on the importance performance matrix the assessment attributes are divided into four quadrants. In the first quadrant, there are no attributes that are the top priority, in the second quadrant, the attributes included are attributes of a reasonable price, flavor offered, product aroma, accuracy of packaging volume, cleanliness of product packaging and ease of obtaining products. Furthermore, in the third quadrant, the attributes included are packaging design, fulfillment of product benefits, brand popularity, and finally the fourth quadrant that includes only product packaging attributes.
