Abstract

ABSTRACT The expected goal of this research are to: (1) analyze the significance of the influence of the principal's leadership on teacher competence, (2) analyze the significance of the influence of labor discipline on the competence of teachers, (3) analyze the significance of the effect of achievement motivation on teacher competence, (4) analyzing the significant influence achievement motivation in moderating the influence of principal leadership on teachers' competence, and (5) analyze the significance of achievement motivation in moderating the influence of labor discipline on teacher competence. The study population was all civil servants in the state primary school teachers Gondangrejo Karanganyar District. Research sample 84 respondents with sampling proportional random sampling. Types of data using qualitative data and quantitative data. Sources of data using primary data and secondary data. Techniques of data collection using interviews and questionnaires. The analysis technique uses test validity, test reliability classical assumption test, linear regression, t test, F test, the coefficient of determination and absolute difference test. The results showed: (1) the principal's leadership has a significant effect on teacher competence, (2) work discipline has a significant impact on teacher competence, (3) achievement motivation has a significant effect on teacher competence, (4) achievement motivation moderate the effect of principal leadership on teachers' competence, (5) moderate the influence of achievement motivation work discipline to teacher competence. Abstract

The overall aim of the study was to wxplore facilitating and obstructing factor for compliance with TB drug therapy. TBC is an infectious disease caused by mycobacterium Tuberculosis. It is still a health problem in the world, especially in development country. In Indonesia, there have been approximately 538.000 case per year of new active TBC with the mortality was 140.000. seventy five percent (75%) of the case suffered productive group (15 – 50 years old). Furthermore, TB is the third mortality after cardiovasculair and Upper Respiratory Infection ( Dep Kes RI, 2002). These statistic indicate that TB is still major health problem in Indonesia. Currently, management of TBC is conducted by all health care services including, public and private hospital, and community health center. The management of TB using Antituberculosa drug is provided by the Indonesia government. It is free and guarantee. The length of therapy needed is around 6-8 months, tend to cause patient’s uncomplaint, therefore leading to treatment failure and development of resistant strain. For this reason, it is important yo explore what factor contributing patient’s compliance for Tuberculostatic drug therapy. Data were collected by indepth interview from 10 respondents. A content analyses technique were used to analyses the data. The patient emphazed motivation for healing, support from family, and health education as facilitating factor. Other perceived promoting factors included supervision from Pengawas Minum Obat (PMO) and fear to spread the disease to their family. Examples of obstructing factors were the length of therapy and when they suffered from other disease. Key word : patient’s complain, Antituberculosis drug.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was conducted based on the fact indicating that the students’ understanding of mathematic concept was still low, the students can’t give information with another students. The aim of this research was to improve the students’ understanding of mathematic concept by using chained-greeting and question technique accompanied with two stay two stray technique in class VIII of SMPN 11 Padang. This was an experimental research whose sample was chosen by random. The instruments of the research was a test on the students’ understanding on mathematic  concept. The result of the research revealed that after the strategy applied, their understanding on mathematic  concept was not better than that of students treating by using conventional learning strategy. This could be seen from the t-value is 0,829 which was smaller than t = 1,669. Thus it was concluded that the use of chained-greeting and question technique accompanied with two stay two stray technique could improve the students understanding of mathematic concept not better than that of the conventional learning.

Abstract

Universitas PGRI Semarang has integrated character education into the fabric of its academic and non-academic activities. It has consciously set about creating a moral climate within universitys fourth pillar of Catur Dharma/ Modeling. Dynamic monitoring and evaluation system for character education is impetus in order to adequately meet the demands of recommended core values: personal and social awareness, self-management, and social skill.Though its slogan and core values are in the domain of character education, its monitoring, evaluation, and assessment have not integrated one and another yet.Thus, it is pertinent to conduct a research for desiging an effective model of monitoring and evaluation of character education.The study used three stages of R & D research method: desiging, revising,and field testing. Expert validation scores had gained 83.35 % while professional validation was 84.5%. It means the model both theoretically and practically is appropriate for evaluation of characters education. The results indicated that to be fully effective and ongoing of the program, integrated monitoring, measuring, and assessing system should be in conjunction with monitoring evaluation design, its implementation as well as its instruments. The study recommends the university and other institutions have to transfer this conceptual model into an implementation model in which character education functions harmonically and in a coordinated manner to provide effective and efficient results.

Abstract

Abstract Background : Asthma is a worldwide health problem. People with asthma in the world today was estimated at 300 million peoples, and expected in 2025 reached 400 million peoples. In Indonesia, there were currently about 12.5 million peoples. In BBKPM Makassar, the number of people with asthma who visit in 2009 were 291 patients, in 2010 to 292 patients, and in 2011 starting from January to November, as 243 patients. It shows the number of people with asthma who visit the BBKPM Makassar each month has increased. Therapy of asthma treatment often used was nebulizer using combivent and bisolvon. Purpose this study to determine the effectiveness of provision nebulizer of combivent and bisolvon therapy to airway patency in asthma bronchial patient at ER of BBKPM Makassar. Method: used was quase experimental with two groups pretest and posttest design. Sample of 40 patients who met the criteria were randomly selected to be divided into two groups, 20 samples for nebulizer of combivent therapy, and 20 samples for nebulizer of bisolvon therapy. Method: Technique of data analysis used was paired t test. the Research result conducted on two groups of respondents, obtained t count value frequency of respiratory and pulmonary physiology in the treatment group of nebulizer using combivent obtained t count of the frequency of respiratory physiology was 15.601 and pulmonary physiology was 23.083, while the treatment groups of nebulizer using bisolvon obtained t count value was 7.701 and pulmonary physiology was 12.606. Result: were both higher than the t table value 1.725 at significant level 95%. Conclusion: Provision nebulizer of combivent therapy provide greater effectiveness in reducing airway obstruction in asthma bronchial patients at ER ofBBKPM Makassar in 2012.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPermasalahan pokok dalam penelitian ini adalah motorik halus anak yang belum berkembang sesuai harapan. Sehubungan dengan masalah tersebut, dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui peranan kegiatan menggambar bebas terhadap motorik halus anak dikelompok B TK Pembina Minti Makmur Kecamatan Rio Pakava Kabupaten Donggala. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Subyek penelitian berjumlah 15 anak yang terdiri dari 5 anak perempuan dan 10 anak laki-laki. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tehnik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Pengelolaan data dilakukan dengan tehnik persentase. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minggu pertama hasil rekapitulasi rata-rata pada aspek kelenturan jari-jemari, kecepatan gerak jari, dan kemampuan hasil karya. Kategori berkembang sangat baik (BSB) 7% anak kategori berkembang sesuai harapan (BSH) 18% anak, kategori Mulai Berkembang (MB) 31% anak, dan Belum Berkembang (BB) 44% anak. Selanjutnya, minggu ketiga dengan menerapkan kegiatan menggambar bebas hasil rekapitulasi data padaaspekkelenturan jari-jemari, kecepatan gerak jari, dan kemampuan membuat hasil karya. Kategori berkembang sangat baik (BSB) 38% anak kategori Berkembang Sesuai Harapan (BSH) 31% anak, kategori Mulai Berkembang (MB) 18% anak, dan Belum Berkembang (BB) 13% anak. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa, ada peranan kegiatan menggambar bebas terhadap motorik halus anak dikelompok B TK Pembina Minti Makmur Kecamatan Rio Pakava Kabupaten donggala.Kata Kunci: Kegiatan Menggambar Bebas, Motorik Halus Anak

Abstract

Abstract: This community service was carried out in form of training for the society in Tlogosari Wetan, Semarang. It was held in the hall of Tlogosari wetan centre. In this training, the participants were given some materials relating to how to get money by making products from all parts of banana trees. The methods which were used in this community service were explaining and question and answer. All the participants were excited and did not go anywhere till the training was over. They asked many questions on how to make products from banana, banana leaves, etc. The result of this training shows that the participants are getting interested in making products from banana trees to increase their income Key words: banana, banana trees, income ?é?á Abstrak: kegiatan IbM ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pelatihan bagi masyarakat di tlogosari wetan, semarang. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di aula kelurahan tlogosari wetan. Para peserta yang hadir diberikan materi-materi yang berkaitan dengan pemanfaatan pohon pisang untuk menjadi produk-produk yang bisa dipasarkan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah penjelasa, dan tanya jawab. Semua peserta sangat tertarik dalam kegiatan ini sehingga acara ini tetap berlangsung dengan baik hingga akhir acara. Para peserta memberikan banyak pertanyaan-pertanyaan tentang bagaimana membuat produk olahan dari pisang, daun pisang dan bahkan dari pohonya. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukan bahwa semua peserta sangat tertarik untuk memulai membuat produk-produk olahan dari pisang dan pohonya untuk meningkatkan pendapatan mereka. ?é?á Kata kunci: pisang, pohon pisang, pendapatan

Abstract

Abstrak Berdasarkan PP No.1 tahun 2010 tentang Pengembangan Keprofesian Berkelanjutan disebutkan bahwa guru wajib melakukan pengembangan profesinya. Diantaranya adalah dengan melakukan karya tulis ilmiah dan publikasi ilmiah.Selanjutnya berdasarkan peraturan tersebut juga disebutkan bahwa untuk kenaikan pangkat seorang guru dari Golongan III b ke berikutnya seorang guru harus memiliki kredit poin yang berhubungan dengan pengembangan diri dan karya tulis ilmiah. Salah satu upaya melakukan penelitian yang berkenaan dengan pembelajaran di kelas adalah dengan melakukan PTK (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas). Di kota Semarang terdapat 89 SMK negeri dan swasta.Pada kenyataaannya. sebagian besar guru masih mengalami kesulitan untuk melakukan PTK?é?á yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya pengetahuan yang mendasar?é?á tentang PTK. Sedangkan permasalahan lain adalah?é?á pemahaman guru dan sekolah terhadap penelitian yang masih bervariasi sehingga mempengaruhi dalam penerapannya di lapangan. Terlebih untuk bidang studi bahasa Inggris di SMK, sebagian besar guru masih merasa kesulitan dalam melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas yang berkaitan dengan bidang studi yang diampunya. Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut di atas,maka dipandang perlu adanya penataran, pelatihan, pembimbingan, dan pendampingan tentang PTK. Oleh karena itu, tim Pengabdian pada Masyarakat IKIP PGRI Semarang berencana membatu para guru dalam melaksanakan PTK di lapangan. Keluaran yang diharapkan dari kegiatan ini adalah berupa laporan pelaksanaan PTK serta artikel ilmiah yang siap dipublikasikan dalam jurnal penelitian. ?é?á Kata kunci: PTK, guru bahasa Inggris SMK, workshop ?é?á ?é?á Abstract Based on Government Regulation No. 1 of 2010 on Sustainable professional development mentioned that teachers are required to perform their professional development . Among them is to conduct the scientific papers and publications. Then, based on that regulation is also mentioned that for the promotion of a teacher of level III b next to a teacher should have the credit points associated with self-development and scientific papers . One of the efforts to conduct research relating to the learning in the classroom is to do (Classroom Action Research ) . In Semarang, there are 89 vocational high Semarang state and private. In fact, in Semarang there are still most teachers have difficulty to perform PTK (Classroom Action Research ) caused by a lack of fundamental knowledge about it. Meanwhile, another problem is the understanding of teachers still varies so affecting in its application in the field. Especially in the field of English language studies at SMK , most teachers still feel difficulties in classroom action research related to the field of study. In connection with the above , it is seemed necessary to upgrading , training , coaching , and mentoring of PTK . Therefore , a team of Community Service University of PGRI Semarang have petrified teachers in implementing PTK in the field . The expected outcomes of this activity is a report on the implementation of PTK and scientific articles published in research journals ready. Abstract

Abstract: Self-Management Education, Hypoglycemia. Diabetes Mellitus is a metabolic disease that needs attention and care for a long time in order to prevent complications. People with DM must have good knowledge, skill, and behavior so they can manage their life by themselves. Research showed that 50–80%, people with DM have not enough knowledge to manage their disease. Through the self-management, people with diabetes can improve their competence in early detection of hypoglycemia so it would increase the quality of life and reduce the risk of developing complications. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of diabetes self-management education toward early detection of hypoglycemia among patients with diabetes. A quasi-experimental pre and post design with a control group was used to investigate the impact of using education on self-management. The participants were 40 that divided into intervention and control group. Purposive sampling was used to take the samples. T-Test was used to analyze the data. The competence of diabetes in early detection of hypoglycemia was an increase, from 6,1 with SD 13.7 to 71,7 with SD 19.2. Then, the model of Self Management education influenced the competence of people with diabetes in the early detection of hypoglycemia, P value 0,011 (α = 0,05). The findings demonstrate that self-management education could improve the competence of diabetes in the early detection of hypoglycemia.

Abstract

Perception is the process when a person obtains the information from surrounding environment. From this explanation, the public perception may be defined as a series of processes of cognition or recognition and affection or emotional evaluation activities (interest) community against an object, events, or relationships obtained by concluding information an interpret the message by using the listening media, sight, tentacle and etc. The method used descriptive exploratory qualitative approach by extracted key information respondents (key informant). So this study can describe a certain state or a group of people systematically, factual and accurate based on the facts on the ground. The data were collected through observation and free interview techniques. The population is visitors of GOR Park. Selection of informants was conducted with stratified sampling. From the results of this study, it indicates that the people of Palu City. Therefore, it is expected the government’s role in the management of city parks in Palu City have to be better and maintain quality parks.Key words : perception, social ekonomi and green open space.
