Abstract

ABSTRAKThe purpose of this study was to determine the effect of increasing doses of kamandrah rindcomposting on the growth of kamandrah seedlings planted on former mining soil. The materials usedfor this study were kamadrah seeds taken from Tamiang, dolomite lime, compost , polybag, formermining soil, wood, nail and and gauze. The tools used were scales, hoes, machetes, yells, sieves, andother stationeries. This study simply employed a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 levelsof treatment K0 (control), K1 (composting with 2 t / ha), K2 (composting with 4 t / ha) and K3(composting with 6 t / ha). The series of experiments for each level of treatment was repeated for sixtimes, so that the overall result were 24 experimental units. The results showed that the compostingapplication of kamandrah seedlings has a significant effect on the height of plant, the number ofleaves, the seedlings. The of kamandrah rind composting was best applied on the treatment of K2 thatresulted in 14,11 cm for the height of the plant, 9.71 for the number of leaves, 9.26 g for the freshweight and 1.36 g for the dry weight of the fruits, those were higher than the other treatments .Key word : Kamandrah, compost, Nurseries, former mining soil

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan peningkatan penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi asam basa menggunakan LKS berbasis learning cycle 7E. Penelitian ini ialah penelitian kuasi eksperimen menggunakan One group Pretest-Postest Only. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 57 orang siswa di salah satu SMA di Kota Palangka Raya. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu memberikan tes kepada siswa sebelum pembelajaran (pre-test) dan setelah pembelajaran (post-test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi LKS berbasis learning cycle 7E dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa dan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada materi asam basa dengan rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,61. Konsep yang paling dikuasai siswa adalah tentang konsep hubungan tetapan kesetimbangan asam dan basa (Ka/Kb) terhadap kekuatan asam basa dengan rata-rata N-Gain 0,86 dan konsep yang kurang dikuasai adalah konsep pH dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dengan rata-rata N-gain sebesar 0,49. Indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis yang paling dikuasai adalah interpretasi sebesar dengan N-Gain 0,80 dengan kriteria tinggi, sedangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis yang kurang dikuasai adalah analisis dengan N-Gain sebesar 0,65 dengan kriteria sedang. Siswa memberikan tanggapan yang baik terhadap pembelajaran menggunakan LKS berbasis learning cycle 7E, karena LKS mengaitkan kejadian yang ada dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

Kemampuan kimia dasar mahasiswa Jurusan PMIPA FKIP Universitas Palangka Raya masih rendah.Mempelajari kimia dasar memerlukan keterampilan konsistensi logika, inferensi logika, hubungan sebab akibat, kerangka logika, pemahaman skala, pemodelan, maupun bahasa simbolik.Keterampilan tersebut tercakup dalam komponen Keterampilan Generik Sains (KGS) yang dikemas dalam bentuk modul dalam konsep asam-basa.Uji efektivitas modul yang dihasilkan dilakukan di Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia Universitas Palangka Raya. Model penelitian yang digunakan adalah pra eksperimental dengan desain one group pretest-postest only. Efektivitas modul ditinjau dari jumlah lulus,n-gain score,dan uji-t hasil belajar mahasiswa. Jumlah mahasiswa yang lulus meningkat: dari 3,5% menjadi 95,3%; n-gain score: 0,58; dan uji-t: 0,00. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul efektif digunakan sebagai bahan ajar alternatif. Kata-kata Kunci: efektivitas modul, hasil belajar, keterampilan generik sains AbstractThe students of MIPA Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Palangka Raya University still have low competences on basic chemistry. Learning basic chemistry needs skills of logical consistency, logical inference, causality, logical framework, scale comprehension, modeling, and symbolical language. Those skills are included on the components of generic science skills (KGS – Ketrampilan Generik Sains) which are packed on an acid-base concept module. The test of module effectiveness was conducted at the Chemistry Education Study Program, Palangka Raya University. The research design was pre-experimental withone group pretest-postest only. The module effectiveness was measured on the total passing grades of n-gain score, and t-test of students’ outcome learning. The results show that the total number of students passed the test increased: from 3.5% to 95.3%; while n-gain score: 0.58; and t-test: 0.00. From the analysis, it can be concluded that the module effectively can be used as an alternative teaching material. Keywords: Module effectiveness, learning outcomes, generic science skills

Abstract

Bukit Liti Village is one of villages located in the Kahayan Tengah Sub-district, Pulang Pisau Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. Most people there tap rubber tree simply managed to produce bokar (rubber materials). In making bokar, rubber farmers use coagulant materials that can damage the rubber quality and soak bokar in water pool/creeks which lower the rubber quality and produce bad smell. To solve the problem, a training is conducted to make a simple pyrolysis reactor to produce liquid smoke which will be used as latex coagulant preventing and reducing bad smell and improving the bokar quality. Pyrolysis reactor is made from a used oil tank, and other materials with a thermometer to measure reactor temperature. The reactor is designed to allow a minimum oxygen combustion. The production of rubber wood liquid smoke for latex coagulation process in this research with 50 kg of old rubber wood materials has obtained 125 ml liquid smoke for 4-hour production time. The use of liquid smoke as latex coagulant gives real impacts for farmers such as: environmental friendly, to prevent bacterial growth and oxidation in the latex and latex lump, to prevent and reduce bad smells of bokar from the plantation, during storage and rubber processing in the rubber processing factory. The technology advantages of the liquid smoke are: faster coagulation, high elasticity, able to increase dry rubber content, relatively same price with other coagulant, to increase quality and selling price, produce clean latex and free of environment pollutant.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan media pembelajaran digital berbasis articulate-storyline-3 pada pokok bahasan struktur atom yang selanjutnya disebut sebagai Media PERISA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kelayakan Media PERISA yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini, serta mendeskripsikan efektivitas Media PERISA terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa terhadap materi struktur atom. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian Reaserch and Decelopment yang menggunakan model Four-D (4D) yang disarankan oleh Thiagarajan. Model 4-D memiliki empat langkah utama yaitu define, design, develop, serta desseminate. Namun dalam penelitian kali ini langkah yang dilakukan hanya sampai tahap develop saja. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X MIPA 1 SMAN 12 Banjarmasin yang berjumlah 20 orang dan disebut kelompok A, dan siswa kelas X MIPA 1 dan X MIPA 2 SMAN 11 Banjarmasin yang berjumlah 47 orang disebut sebagai kelompok B. Instrumen penelitian ini antara lain angket kebutuhan siswa, soal pre-test dan post-test, angket kesesuaian isi, angket tampilan media, dan angket respon siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesesuaian isi pada rancangan awal media PERISA sebesar 82,9% yang kemudian dilakukan revisi berdasarkan saran ahli hingga isi dalam media PERISA telah benar-benar sesuai dengan KD dan tujuan pembelajaran. Hasil validasi kelayakan media PERISA menunjukkan kelayakan media sebesar 86,5% atau sangat layak digunakan tanpa revisi. Efektifitas media PERISA yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai n-gain-score adalah 0,536% atau termasuk dalam kategori keefektifan tinggi. Persentase respon peserta didik yang mencapai 82,052%.

Abstract

High learning achievement is necessary to achieve a better life. This study aims to determine the implementation of contextual teaching and learning approach in improving students' learning achievement in fiqh subjects. This research uses a qualitative approach and observation and interview data collection techniques. The results revealed that the application of learning with the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach, it can make it easier for students to understand and apply in the daily lives of educated participants. Educators strive for students to be actively involved in the application process so that students can easily apply discover knowledge from their new learning experiences. The application of the contextual approach has been well implemented but not yet maximized.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether corner puzzle props are useful in enhancing student learning results. The study was conducted through experimental research using a posttest-only control design. The participants of the study were students, with class A being the experimental group and class B as the control group. The data collection method employed in this study was documentation and testing. The results of the analysis of academic performance using corner puzzle props indicated a significant improvement in the average academic performance of the experimental group, which was 69.83, compared to the control group, which was 62.07. The data was analyzed using a difference test (t test) on the right side. The research on academic performance revealed that the t-count was higher than the t-table. This implies that the average academic performance of students in class A (the experimental group) who were taught using corner puzzle props was greater than or equal to that of students who were not taught using corner puzzle props.

Abstract

It still has to be enhanced since students' critical thinking abilities on the subject matter of rotational dynamics and equilibrium of rigid bodies are still an issue. The purpose of this study is to ascertain the impact of the probing prompting learning model on students' capacity for critical thought with regard to the rotational dynamics and equilibrium of rigid bodies content. A total of 90 children from one of schools made up the sample for this study, which was performed there for four weeks in January 2023. The study approach employed was a quasi-experiment with a design for the control group that was not comparable. The Mann Whitney U examine was used to examine the validity of the hypothesis, and the findings revealed that Ho was rejected. The critical thinking abilities of students who study using the probing prompting model are significantly different from those of students who learn using traditional learning. In the experimental class, students' critical thinking scores increased more than those of the control class students. More than 80% of students expressed interest in using the probing prompting learning methodology. This study demonstrates how the probing prompting learning paradigm significantly enhances students' capacity for critical thought

Abstract

Pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi Mendeley secara online merupakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa, guru, dan dosen dalam mengoptimalkan penggunaan aplikasi Mendeley untuk penyusunan daftar pustaka karya ilmiah. Pelatihan dilakukan secara daring menggunakan aplikasi Zoom pada tanggal 22 Maret 2023 dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 32 orang. Dalam era digital yang terus berkembang, penyusunan daftar pustaka merupakan bagian penting dalam penulisan karya ilmiah. Namun, masih banyak kalangan akademik yang belum sepenuhnya memahami dan mampu mengoptimalkan penggunaan aplikasi Mendeley. Hal ini dapat menyebabkan kesulitan dalam mengorganisir referensi dan menyusun daftar pustaka yang sesuai dengan format yang berlaku. Melalui pelatihan ini, peserta diberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mengelola referensi menggunakan aplikasi Mendeley, mencatat kutipan, serta menyusun daftar pustaka dengan efisien. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan peserta dalam mengorganisir referensi, menghemat waktu dalam penyusunan daftar pustaka, serta meningkatkan literasi digital. Dengan demikian, pelatihan ini memberikan dampak yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kualitas penelitian dan penulisan karya ilmiah peserta. Diharapkan hasil dari pelatihan ini dapat memberikan manfaat yang nyata dalam pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan penelitian di kalangan akademik.
