Abstract

Located in Tegal Village, Kemang District, Bogor Regency, SMP Negeri 1 Kemang is the only secondary school for the children from the surrounding villages. The local government has the expectation for the school to excel in various aspects, such as to develop the school to be a Secondary School with Exemplary Character. The development of Kantin Kejujuran (lit: Honesty Canteen) is expected to raise the students’ awareness of the importance of honesty. The development began in 2017, and it focused on the development of physical facilities. Along such development, initial assessment on the perception of students and teachers towards the value of honesty was conducted using the Likert scale. Open questionnaires were distributed to get the general idea of teachers and students’ expectation towards Kantin Kejujuran. In the designing process, it was found that there are similarities between the students’ and teachers’ perceptions towards the value of honesty, in which it is considered important and needs to be developed. The procedure of using Kantin Kejujuran in accordance with the characteristics of the students needed to be developed from 2018.

Abstract

In line with the implementation of the 2013 curriculum and High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), teachers are expected to be able to design teaching materials that can facilitate critical thinking learners through investigation activities. LKPD (Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik) based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) is one way that can encourage learners to think critically and creatively to complete learning activities that occur in everyday life. The purpose of this community service activity, teachers can design LKPD based on the PBL model and apply it in learning activities. The products resulting from activities to this community are LKPD based on the PBL model. The materials used are examples of LKPD based on the PBL model and materials on steps in PBL activities that can be aligned with the material in the 2013 curriculum. The method used is the socialization of community service and implementation activities in their respective teacher classes. The result of community service activities is LKPD based on the PBL model products made by teachers and the ease of teachers in construct LKPD based on the PBL model with learning activities to be carried out. In the conclusion of this community service activity, teachers need socialization and assistance in making teaching materials such as LKPD based on the PBL model to facilitate teachers in conducting learning activities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of 4 (four) competencies that must be possessed by teachers, namely Professional, Social Pedagogic, and Personality from graduates of the Open University (UT) S1 Study Program Elementary School Teacher Program (PGSD) from various regions in Indonesia. . The research method used in this research is descriptive evaluative. This research was conducted in 112 (one hundred and twelve) elementary schools (SD), both public and private. The total number of graduates who became respondents in this study was 182 (one hundred and eighty-two). Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to the principals of these schools. The results of this study indicate that 4 (four) competencies possessed by UT graduates generally fall into the good category. The four competencies that need to be paid more attention to are professional, especially those related to research/scientific works and as resource persons in educational activities. This is a recommendation for UT to prepare teachers for the competencies that need attention.

Abstract

Penerapan kurikulum 2013 menutut guru menyelenggarakan pembelajaran di kelas berkualitas. Perkembangan teknologi komunikasi dan informasi (TIK) harus dimanfaatkan oleh guru untuk membantu peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran. Belum semua guru sekolah dasar di wilayah Kota Tangerang Selatan memiliki kemampuan pemanfaatan TIK untuk pembelajaran. Pada masa pandemik Covid 19 menunjukkan banyak keluhan dari guru, siswa, dan orangtua tentang pemanfaatan TIK untuk pembelajaran jarak jauh. Peningkatan kemampuan pemanfaatan TIK untuk pembelajaran baik di kelas secara tatap muka maupun jarak jauh harus terus dilakukan oleh guru. Pada tanggal 23 Maret sampai dengan 6 April 2021 telah dilakukan pelatihan pemanfaatan TIK untuk pembelajaran di wilayah Kota Tangerang Selatan. Pelatihan tersebut dilaksanakan secara dalam jaringan yang diikuti oleh 307 guru SD Kota Tangerang Selatan. Hasil dari pelatihan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Peserta memiliki kemampuan menyelenggarakan PJJ pada masa pandemi; 2) Peserta memiliki kesadaran pentingnya kecepatan beradaptasi dan berinovasi dalam pembelajaran terutama dalam kondisi darurat bencana misalnya Covid 19; 3) Peserta mampu menyelenggarakan pembelajaran dengan aplikasi berbasis daring; 4) Peserta mampu memanfaatkan aplikasi daring untuk evaluasi pembelajaran; dan 5) Peserta mampu membuat soal/evaluasi pembelajaran dengan berpikir tingkat tinggi dan tepat.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the GESAMSU (Gedrik Saruk Indeed Seru) game-based environment on students' mathematical communication skills. This research was conducted by 3rd-grade students at an Integrated Islamic Elementary School (IT) Nurul Islam Paramarta in Seputih Banyak District in Central Lampung, with a sample of 62 students in this study. This research method used Experiment with Control Group Design research type, using a random purposive sampling technique. The research design used in this study was the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. This study used an instrument in the form of an Essay test of mathematical communication skills. The results showed that the increase in students' mathematical communication skills who were taught by applying the Environmental-Based GESAMSU (Gedrik Saruk Indeed Seru) game was significantly higher than the increase in students' mathematical communication skills taught by conventional learning models. The average post-test score of the experimental class was higher than the post-test score of the control class, namely 85,96 and 60,63, both of which were in a different category.

Abstract

Abstrak: Salah satu penguatan dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat terutama dalam pendidikan dan perkembangan anak usia dini adalah dengan adanya program pendidikan orangtua atau yang sering disebut parenting. Di masa pandemi covid 19 pendidikan parenting untuk orangtua sangat dibutuhkan. Kesibukan orangtua yang harus membagi perhatian antara pekerjaan dan mendampingi anak belajar di rumah tentu menjadi tantangan yang tidak mudah dihadapi orangtua. Sekolah sebagai agen perubahan ikut bertanggungjawab terhadap pendidikan anak di rumah selama pandemic berlangsung sehingga perlu memberikan penguatan kepada orangtua tentang literasi parenting hal ini bertujuan agar orangtua dapat mendampingi anak belajar di rumah. Berdasarkan identifikasi diketahui tidak semua guru paham bagaimana harus menjalin komunikasi dan bekerjasama dengan orangtua terkait perkembangan anak. Dinas pendidikan Kota Tangerang Selatan bekerjasama dengan fakultas ilmu keguruan Universitas Terbuka mengusahakan memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan literasi parenting kepada guru SD dan TK agar guru-guru orang dapat melaksanakan program parenting di sekolahnya.  Pelatihan ini diikuti 35 guru dari 9 sekolah dengan menggunakan metode webinar dan pedampingan oleh fasilitator. Hasilnya diperoleh 7 dokumen program parenting dengan topik membangun komunikasi empatik, peran guru dan orangtua dalam membangun kesiapan bersekolah dan sinkronisasi pendampingan pembelajaran daring antara guru dan orang tua. Abstract:  One of strengthening of society life especially education and development of early childhood education is parenting program at school. In pandemic situations, education for parents is very needed. The busy parents must share attention between the job and the accompaniment their kids were learning at home that could be a challenge for parents. As an agent of change, the school has a responsibility to the children's education at home, so that the school has to strengthen the parents. Based on identification it is known that most of the teachers did not understand how to communicate and do teamwork with parents about the development of children. The South Tangerang City education Office in collaboration with the faculty of teacher training of Open University seeks to provide parenting literacy training and accompaniment to elementary and kindergarten teachers so that the teachers can implement parenting programs in their school. This training was attended by 35 teachers from 9 schools using the webinar method and mentoring by facilitators. The results obtained 7 documents parenting program with the topic of building empathic communication, the role of teachers and parents in building school readiness, and synchronizing online learning assistance between teacher and parents.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai pemahaman dari calon guru Sekolah Dasar (SD) mengenai konsep pencernaan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan tipe survei yang diberikan kepada 105 calon guru SD. Instrumen yang disebarkan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan secara online berbentuk pilihan ganda yang berkaitan dengan konsep pencernaan dan kuesioner terkait dengan pengalaman belajar mereka mengenai konsep pencernaan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa pada umumnya jawaban yang diberikan oleh calon guru belum sesuai dengan harapan hal ini dibuktikan dengan persentase rata-rata jawaban benar adalah sebesar 45.12% yang termasuk ke dalam kategori “Kurang”. Selain itu pengalaman belajar mengenai konsep pencernaan dari responden sebagian besar bersumber dari buku yang kurang interaktif, visualisasi, dan pengemasan konsep yang dianggap belum sesuai dengan apa yang mereka butuhkan. Hasil tersebut dapat diartikan bahwa perlunya sebuah pengembangan bahan/media ajar yang dapat memudahkan guru dalam memahami konsep pencernaan. Salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi hal tersebut adalah dengan menggunakan media Augmented Reality (AR), Media tersebut adalah Augmented Reality (AR), media ini merupakan kombinasi dari teknologi yang dapat menghadirkan konten yang dipelajari pada gadget di atas lingkungan dunia nyata. Selain itu dalam pembuatannya diperlukan diperhatikan aspek pedagoginya agar konsep yang diberikan dalam media ini mudah untuk dipelajari oleh pengguna.
