Abstract

Coronary Arterial Disease (CAD) is one of cardiovaskular disease that remain leading cause death and disability. Short sleep duration is the major symptoms in patients with CAD, during recovery period after cardiac events and during cardiac rehabilitation. Benson’s relaxation is one of relaxation as modalities therapy to increase sleep duration, however few studies related to this technique in planned intervention. This study was to measured the effectiveness of Benson’s relaxation in short sleep duration of CAD patients during cardiac rehabilitation. It was a quasi experimental pretest posttest control group design. This study included 29 respondens in Dr.M.Djamil Hospital were assigned to intervention group which receiving Benson’s relaxation technique (n=15) and control group with routine care (n=14). Benson’s relaxation technique was administered for 5 days 2 times a day, each 20 minutes to intervention group. Short sleep duration was measured using sleep diary (self report). The result indicated significant increasing in mean of  sleep duration  before and after Benson’s relaxation in intervention group (p value < 0,001). The study concluded that Benson’s relaxation technique is an effective non-pharmacological intervention to increase sleep duration in CAD patients.Penyakit jantung koroner menjadi masalah kardiovaskular yang mengakibatkan angka mortalitas yang tinggi. Durasi tidur pendek termasuk salah satu keluhan utama pasien penyakit jantung koroner pada masa recovery setelah serangan dan menjalani rehabilitasi fase 2. Relaksasi Benson merupakan teknik relaksasi sebagai terapi modalitas untuk mengurangi keluhan durasi tidur pendek, namum belum banyak penelitian terkait intervensi ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh relaksasi Benson terhadap durasi tidur pasien penyakit jantung koroner yang menjalani rehabilitasi fase 2. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Quasi Eksperimen dengan pendekatan control group pretest posttest design pada 29 responden di RSUP. Dr.M.Djamil Padang yang dibagi dalam dua kelompok (kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol). Hasil penelitian menunjukan ada perbedaan rerata durasi tidur yang signifikan antara sebelum dan setelah dilakukan intervensi relaksasi Benson pada kelompok intervensi (p value < 0,001). Simpulan hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi salah satu terapi modalitas bagi perawat untuk mengatasi masalah durasi tidur pendek pada pasien penyakit jantung koroner.

Abstract

Background: Several countries have implemented health protocols in order to prevent the spread of covid-19. One of the promotional media used by the government is social media. The effectiveness of this prevention is very much dependent on community cooperation. Knowledge, attitudes and practices of the community in preventing Covid 19 have an important role in the new normal era. Purpose The purpose of this study is to describe the trust of the Indonesian people to information on the prevention of Covid 19 on social media and public knowledge, attitudes and practices regarding prevention of the spread of COVID-19. Methods This research is a cross sectional online survey. The survey instrument consisted of respondent characteristics consisting of 5 demographic characteristics items and 5 social media use characteristics items, 13 items of trust in social media, 18 items of knowledge, 6 items of attitude and 12 items of practice. The research, which was conducted from 1 September 2020 to 25 September 2020, received 1129 responses. The questionnaire items were modified from the published paper. This research was tested statistically descriptively. Results: Most of the Indonesian people have high trust in Covid 19 prevention information on social media (mean 2.56 and standard deviation 0.55), good knowledge (mean 2.78 with standard deviation 0.60), good affective (mean 2.58 with standard deviation 0.70), good practices (mean 2.42 with a standard deviation of 0.70) regarding Covid-19 prevention. The social media trend chosen by the Indonesian people is Instagram (33.2%) Conclusion. The findings reported in this study are important because they are useful for increasing awareness of institutional and government leaders about the trust in information on social media, knowledge, attitudes, and practices of the prevention of COVID-19 in the Indonesian community. Abstract

During this Covid-19 pandemic, physical activity and utilizing the yard for family medicinal plants is highly recommended because it can increase one's body immunity and will reduce the spread of Covid-19 disease. Physical activity and family medicinal plants is one of the programs of the Healthy Living Community Movement. This program is one of the programs that have been launched by the Government. The results of a survey conducted in the Dadok Tunggul Hitam Public Health Center, Padang District, Koto Tangah, it is known that most people rarely do physical activity that can improve the body's immune system. The implementation of activities is carried out directly by implementing strict health protocols. The activity started by doing physical activity in the form of aerobic exercise and giving and explaining the types and benefits of family medicinal plant seeds to 15 family heads where 1 family head got 5 family medicinal plant seeds. The evaluation results showed that there was an increase in public knowledge about the importance of gymnastics. Aerobics and the types and benefits of family medicinal plants during the pre test and post test. Suggestions for the public health centers are to monitor the results of this education

Abstract

Pelayanan keperawatan sering dijadikan tolak ukur citra dan mutu sebuah Rumah Sakit di mata masyarakat Ronde keperawatan merupakan salah satu metode pada manajemen keperawatan yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan perawat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelaksanaan ronde keperawatan terhadap tingkat pengetahuan perawat di ruang rawat inap Rsu Aisyiyah Padang. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pre-experimental design dengan rancangan yang digunakan One Group Pretest- Postest Design. Penelitian dilaksanakan di ruang rawat inap RSU Aisyiyah Padang. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh perawat yang berada di ruang rawat inap RSU Aisyiyah Padang.Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan total sampling. Pengumpulan data melalui angket menggunakan kuesioner, analisis penelitian menggunakan analisis univariat dan analisis bivariat menggunakan uji uji paired samples t-test. Penelitian ini menunjukkan menunjukkan perbedaan rerata tingkat pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan ronde keperawatan. Hasil uji statistik dengan menggunakan paired samples T-test didapatkan nilai p value = 0,000 (<0,05), maka dapat disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh pelaksanaan ronde keperawatan terhadap tingkat pengetahuan perawat ruang rawat inap RSU Aisyiyah Padang. Diharapkan para manajer di Rumah Sakit melakukan pengawasan terhadap pelaksanaan ronde keperawatan yaitu melalui kegiatan supervisi sehingga kegiatan ini dapat berjalan dengan lancar dan simultan

Abstract

An unprecedented outbreak of the newly emerging infectious disease of Covid-19 with rapid increases globally and in Indonesia may result in psychological distress among nursing staff. The present study aimed to identify psychological responses among nurses in the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. A cross-sectional data were collected from 535 nurses working in 119 hospitals from 24 provinces in Indonesia using Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS-42) and sociodemographic questionnaire. Data were collected using an online survey and analyzed with descriptive and Chi-squared tests. Analysis showed among the respondents, 23.7% (n = 127) had moderate anxiety, 6.5% (n = 35) had moderate stress and 8.8% (n =47) had moderate depression. Anxiety, stress, and depression were significantly higher among nursing staff in the emergency department and Covid-19 isolation ward. Nursing staff, especially those working in the departments mentioned above, were more susceptible to psychological impairment. Effective strategies toward improving their psychological status should be provided among the nurses.Keywords: Covid-19 pandemic, psychological responses, work stress

The result indicated significant reduction in mean of fatigue between intervention and control group (p value < 0,001). Abstract

Cleaning workers was one of high risk workers in Covid-19 infection who exposed to garbage from individuals, households and business waste every day. During Covid-19 pandemic there was increased disposal of infectious waste such as masks and gloves from households without sorting process which increasing risk of infection for cleaning workers. Preventive effort of cleaning workers was needed as vigilance in daily activities. Therefore, an education was carried out about prevention of infectious disease related Covid-19 pandemic to improving knowledge and understanding of cleaning workers as preventive measure. Education program was carried out to 50 cleaning workers in Environmental Department of Padang on 29-30 June 2020. Modules, videos, and demonstrations procedures of hand washing, mask and glove using were used in these educations. Education program consist of basic concepts and preventive measures against infectious disease related Covid-19 pandemic. The results showed there was increased knowledge of cleaning workers about preventive way against infectious disease related Covid-19 pandemic after participating in education program.

Abstract

The advantages of this hydroponic vegetable product are that it is free of chemical pesticides, the taste of vegetables is crunchy and sweet, clean, environmentally friendly, and affordable. However, the public's knowledge and understanding regarding hydroponic vegetables is still very little and not evenly distributed in all circles, so that marketing is only limited to certain groups. This service aims to assist and assist Hydroponics 55 partners in producing healthy vegetables and developing into an Eco-tourism area. This service activity is planned to last for 3 years (2021-2024). With the following activity plans: 1) designing a green-house in agricultural areas, 2) increasing online and offline promotion and education, 3) submitting a proposal for collaboration with restaurants, cafes, hospitals and supermarkets in the city of Padang, 4) developing Hydroponic 55 businesses, in processing healthy food derived from hydroponic vegetables, 5) developing agricultural areas into Eco-tourism areas. Activities that have been carried out this year include making educational posters and promoting hydroponic vegetables and distributing them through social media, conducting FGDs with stakeholders, inviting speakers regarding greenhouse preparation and providing knowledge dissemination related to marketing tricks and eco-tourism concepts and facilitating partners in develop business licenses in processing healthy food products. The results of this activity are in the form of educational and promotional posters, proposals for making green-houses, proposals for developing healthy food processing and proposals for developing eco-tourism areas.

Abstract

Hydroponics 55 is an agricultural business that produces healthy vegetables without pesticides and processed food products. Continuous assistance is essential to increase the productivity of developing companies. The purpose of this activity is to assist partners in growing their business, namely in making processed products of Hydroponics 55 by making "Hydroponic Kitchen 55" and the Eco-Eduwista program in an urban area. This activity was carried out for three months, namely October to December 2021. The activities were guiding the management to have home industry food permits (P-IRT) and business identification numbers (NIB) certificates, developing a "Hydroponic Kitchen 55" business. The team also improved hydroponic vegetable packaging, FGD related to the marketing strategy of Hydroponic 55 vegetables and their processed products. They prepared and built a simple greenhouse in the Hydroponic 55 agricultural area, launched an eco-tourism program and a training centre on hydroponics, and introduced healthy food processed products to visitors. Furthermore, it needs consistency in product quality to compete with other products in the market. Planning for testing the ingredient of hydroponic processed foods also urge to be followed up so that the health benefits of the resulting product are scientifically proven.

Abstract

Community empowerment was one effort in overcoming the spreading of Covid-19 in West Sumatera. West Sumatra has various types of community components that can be empowered, one of which is the PKK. Along with social restrictions that are too long and the circulation of false news about Covid-19 in the media, the implementation of the Covid-19 prevention health protocol is decreasing. Training and education of PKK members are strategy in solving the lack of knowledge of Covid-19, the low of self-management of communities in carrying out health protocols, and the community’s inability to take advantaged of the availability of natural ingredient of medicinal plants in their yard. The aim of these activities was to improve the knowledge of PKK Bansa’s members in increasing self-management in Covid-19 prevention and traditional medicine skill. The methods in this program were structure education and skill training for 25 members of PKK in Bansa. We used module, video demonstration and leaflet in this education and training program. Pre and post-test were held to evaluate the knowledge of participants. The result showed there was an increasing knowledge of participants before and after education and training from 34,84 to 41,4. Members of PKK can re-demonstration of making traditional medicine from ginger and turmeric to increase immunity during Covid-19 pandemic. The empowerment activity was effective and continuously way in elaborative and improving community’s participation in controlling the spreading of Covid-19.
