Abstract

Teachers are partners for child development. On this basis, government policies favor efforts to improve teacher welfare, creativity, and teacher competence. This study seeks to describe strategies for improving teacher performance through workshop activities at MTsN 4 Mandailing Natal. This type of research includes classroom action research (CAR) as an effort to improve education from classrooms. The research subjects are 20 teachers who teach class VIII students (with various fields of study) for the 2021/2022 academic year. Analysis of research data based on quantitative methods using questionnaires and observations. It is carried out in components of 2 (two) cycles, covering the stages of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The results of this study indicate that the strategy for improving teacher performance is very well implemented through a workshop at MTsN 4 Mandailing Natal. This is viewed from the core aspects of learning to be able to apply learning that there are no people or 0.00% teachers (not good category), 1 person or 5.00% of teachers are classified as sufficient, 6 people or 30.00% are classified as good and 13 people or 65.00% is classified as very good. If the sum of those categorized as good and very good reaches 19 people or 95.00%, understanding of learning strategies can be improved both in theory (conceptual) and implementation (contextual).

Abstract

Education policy is a joint regulation in the process of providing education. It is intended to be a reference for human resource management in education. This study aims to analyze educational policies and social values. This research approach is a qualitative type with a literature study method. Sources of research data are obtained from educational policy regulations, books, scientific articles, proceedings, and final assignments (thesis, thesis, or dissertation) that are relevant to the research theme. To check the validity of the research data, the triangulation technique was used. The results of this study indicate that educational policies and social values regulate the management of human resources at the national level and as management principles in educational institutions. The purpose of the policy is as a reference in structuring social values and protecting human rights, as well as being a guarantee for the fulfillment of citizens' rights to obtain education. In fact, this policy has become the government's “proof and promise” in favor of equal education for all people.

Abstract

The teacher is the main symbol in education, the work culture displayed by the teacher will be an image for educational institutions. The crisis of public confidence in educational institutions is based on the quality of teaching displayed by teachers. This study seeks to describe the teacher's culture and the crisis of public trust. The type of this research is qualitative with literature study method. Sources of data and study analysis materials are quoted from credible pages of Google Scholar, DOAJ, SINTA in the form of books, scientific articles, proceedings, and final assignments (thesis, thesis, dissertation). The results of this study indicate that there has been a crisis of public confidence in the teaching culture displayed by the teacher. This is seen from the image of educational institutions that have decreased trust from the public. Likewise, external demands on teachers continue to increase to create a conducive and religious learning culture (climate). Through this research, it is hoped that it can become a scientific treasure related to creating a culture of teacher performance that can be trusted by the community.

Abstract

Improving teacher performance is the upstream of the success of the learning process, and outstanding students are downstream of the process. This study aims to describe planning for improving teacher performance and optimizing learning. This type of research belongs to the category of qualitative approach with literature study method. Study analysis materials and data sources were obtained from internet-based searches with credible pages, such as Google Scholar, DOAJ, Moraref, and SINTA. The data materials in question include books, scientific articles, proceedings, and student final assignments. Furthermore, the validity or validity of the data is checked using data materials (scientific). The results of this study indicate that planning for improving teacher performance and optimizing learning through the stages of greedy organization, work intensification, performativity, and understanding organizational strengths.
