Abstract

Instruments with indicators must match the variables to be observed and declared valid and reliable before being used for research. Work motivation variables and credential variables affect nurse performance. Credentials can moderate the effect of work motivation on nurse performance. The research objectives were then analyzed using internal validity and reliability conducted by experts and external reliability validity using a questionnaire filled out by research respondents about the effect of motivation on nurse performance in moderation with nurse credentials. This research used quantitative methods with a cross-sectional design. The research population consisted of 58 nurses and the chairman of the nursing committee served as the validator. The sampling technique was total sampling with 56 registered nurses as permanent employees and receiving credentials. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Analysis of the validity and reliability of the data used the SPSS application and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis with the PLS application. The research instrument influenced motivation on nurse performance moderately, with credentials declared valid and reliable.

Abstract

This scooping review aims to analyze a combination of bundle care and a multidisciplinary team approach to reduce Surgical Site Infection (SSI) in high-risk patients. The authors identified literature published between 2012 and 2021. The databases used to search for related journals included PubMed, Scopus, and EBSCO. PRISMA protocol will be used in this study.  The review will include published papers discussing bundle care use and the multidisciplinary team approach which impacts SSI, especially in high-risk patients. Several studies showed a decrease in SSI rate in the intervention group that applied bundle care and a multidisciplinary team approach. Reducing SSI in patients with higher ASA (The American Society of Anesthesiologists) levels was even more significant.

Abstract

Healthcare Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (HFMEA) has been widely used as a proactive risk assessment for healthcare processes since its development in 2001. This study performs a bibliometric analysis of published papers on HFMEA to map its utilization and evolutionary nuances. The dataset was obtained from the Scopus database for English-language papers published between 2002 and 2022 using “HFMEA” or “Healthcare Failure Mode and Effect Analysis” in the article title, abstract, or keywords. Microsoft Excel and VOSviewer were used to perform the analysis. The authors found 230 relevant publications during the study period. The year 2020 has the most publications, with 34 papers. Articles written by DeRosier et al. received the most citations (470). The United States had the highest number of published papers (84), while the United Kingdom had the most international collaboration. Co-occurrence analysis of author keywords showed that patient safety, risk assessment, and risk management were high-rank words. This study emphasizes scholarly collaboration trends and identifies relevant authors, topics, and journals on HFMEA research. It may assist health practitioners and healthcare facility managers in understanding the focus of HFMEA research. Nonetheless, the number of HFMEA publications is still sparse. Further studies on HFMEA in underrepresented medical specialties should be explored.

Abstract

Background: RSUD Nganjuk is a type B hospital. Patient care in RSUD Nganjuk inpatient unit is done by group of specialists from different disciplines, general practitioners, nurses, and other health personnel. But there are still many obstacles that occur in collaborative practice. Physician-Nurse interactions affect the quality of collaboration practices and physician’s job satisfaction. Method: The study is a quantitative study with cross sectional approach. Populations consisted of all physicians in RSUD Nganjuk. The sampling method used in this study is total sampling. There are 18 respondents. Analysis of the data using multiple linear regression statistical test. Result and Discussion: The result of this study showed the value of F calculating (7,75) > t table value (4,221), and probability value was 0,02. That’s means that the physician-nurse collaboration significantly influences physician’s job satisfaction. Regression equivalent showed: Y = 0,267 X1 + 0,078 X2 + 0,452 X3 + 0,470 X3.Whereas determinant coefficient 0,614. This implied that physician-nurse collaboration simultaneously influence as much as 61,4% to physician’s job satisfaction. Physician-nurse collaboration variable practice that influence physician’s job satisfaction is mutual interest (p=0,03) The other factor: communication (p=0,17), scope of practice (p=0,77), and common goal (p=0,05) has not yet been influence in physician’s job satisfaction. Conclusion: There was a significant influence among the collaboration variable practice consisting of communication (X1), the scope of practice (X2), mutual interests (X3), and a common goal (X4) simultaneously on physician’s job satisfaction at the inpatient unit of RSUD Nganjuk.
