Abstract

Teenagers and students favor this social media application to make friends and share their life stories. With its various exciting applications, this social media application has attracted professionals in running a business, significantly to improve the quality of life of their human resources. We have proven the truth and error of this assumption by examining literature sources from various domestic and international publications that discuss the advantages and disadvantages of social media in supporting the improvement of human resources among the public. Our data is analyzed using a phenomenological approach, exploring as much data as possible. We analyze it by involving an interpretation coding system in concluding according to the purpose of this study which aims to get the broadest understanding of how social media applications can help improve the quality of human resources. Based on data and scientific evidence, we can report that social media is increasingly being used not only for friendship but also to increase the quality of the company's human resources. Hopefully, this finding will be essential in improving human resources through social media applications.

Abstract

This research aims to know and evaluate the influence of 1) management commitment on service quality both direct and indirect through internal marketing, employee job satisfaction and employee positive attitude; 2) internal marketing on service quality direct and indirect through employee job satisfaction and employee positive attitude; 3) employee job satisfaction on service quality direct and indirect throuht employee positive attitude, 4) employee positive attitude on service quality. Population of the research are all functional or section medical staffs, financial and supporting instalation section staffs that have close relation with customer in Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) of B and C types in Center Kalimantan. Sample unit of service provider is management (leader of SMF or leader of section and installation units who provide direct service to customer), medical employee (doctor,nurse, and other mrdical employee) and non-medical employee-and customer - patients and their families. Technique of collecting data is done by using three mean-for management level by using census, for medical and non-medical staffs by using accidental and for customer by using purposive sampling. Data are then analyzed by using descriptive analysis and inferential statistic. To evaluated the influence among variables, the research uses structural equation model (SEM) analysis with partial least square (PLS). Result of the research prove that management commitment has direct significant influence on service quality, internal marketing, employee job satisfaction and employee positive attitude. It also influences indirectly significant on service quality and employee positive attitude through internal marketing and employee job satisfaction partially. Internal marketing has direct significant influence on employee positive attitude and service quality but does not have influence on employee job satisfaction. There is not direct influence of internal marketing on employee job satisfaction and employee positive attitude and service quality. Employee job satisfaction has direct significant influence on service quality and employee positive attitude but does not have indirect influence on servece quality through employee positive attitude because employee positive attitude does not have influence on service quality.Keywords: Management Commitment, Internal Marketing, Employee Job Satisfaction, Employee Positive Attitude and Service Quality

Abstract

This study examines the strategy of community economic welfare improvement through empowering coastal women in utilizing fishery waste products. The informants were purposively pick up from those who attended the training of waste processing of fishery products and took the follow-up training. Additional data were collected through observation, interview and documental study. The cumulative data were then examined used SWOT analysis. The results show that the workable strategy was SO (Strengths–Opportunities) strategy, namely using internal strengths to get the advantage from external opportunities. The weaknesses needs for improvement were lack of skill, lack of tools or equipment to process the products, lack of funds, unregistered business body and limited market. Meanwhile, the threats from competitors of similar products, unavailability of product distributors, consumer demand for more creative products, and rapid technological development are hard to follow by coastal women.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur pengaruh disiplin dan budaya kerja terhadap kinerja PNS melalui motivasi kerja Satpol PP Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah. Sebanyak 48 responden anggota Satpol PP di Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah dipilih dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dan hipotesis diuji menggunakan teknik analisis PLS (Partial Least Square) dengan software SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertama, Disiplin, Budaya Kerja, dan Motivasi Kerja berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap Kinerja Pegawai Negeri Sipil di Satpol PP Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah. Kedua, budaya kerja, disiplin berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap motivasi kerja pada Satpol PP Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah. Ketiga, budaya kerja tidak berpengaruh langsung terhadap kinerja pegawai melalui motivasi kerja pada Satpol PP Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah.

Abstract

The purpose of organizational development research is related to three aspects of the research, namely organizational culture, HR strategy, and employee performance. Research at the Office of the General Secretariat of the Central Kalimantan Province. HR innovation should be the result of a creative learning process and need to be accompanied by a culture and leadership that has strong empathy and involvement. This study shows that the HRM strategy that leads to the development of a culture of achievement is a strategic factor that plays an important role in efforts to interact in an effort to improve employee performance. This type of quantitative research is SEM PLS with 128 respondents. The results of the research Organizational culture has a significant effect on HR strategy, Organizational culture has a significant effect on employee performance, Implementation of HR practices that are partially significant on employee performance. The application of HR practices that have interaction and level of relationship suitability or compatibility with organizational strategy improves employee performance. HR strategy is a partial mediating variable on the influence of organizational culture on employee performance at the General Bureau of the Regional Secretariat of Central Kalimantan Province. For further research, longitudinal studies are needed that combine historical secondary data and studies based on primary data that are also multi-time/period to capture the dynamics of changes in the organization's internal environment, including changes in HR management

Abstract

Keberadaan pasar ritel sembako modern kini telah memanjakan kawasan perkotaan. Situasi ini menguntungkan karena masyarakat akan lebih mudah menentukan gerai mana yang akan dimasuki dikarenakan produk bisa didapatkan langsung oleh pelanggan melalui ritel sembako modern (minimarket). Minimarket sendiri adalah jenis pengecer yang tokonya relatif kecil yang terletak di dekat daerah pemukiman penduduk, jam buka yang panjang selama tujuh hari penuh dan menjual produk kebutuhan pokok dengan omset tinggi dan harga yang sedikit lebih tinggi. Dalam hal ini, ritel menghubungkan sebuah brand kepada pelanggan sebagai last mile, atau rantai terakhir yang menjadi pemberhentian terakhir bagi pelanggan untuk membeli barang. Dengan demikian, ritel sembako moderen merupakan rantai kunci dalam proses distribusi, dimana pengecer bertanggung jawab untuk memengaruhi tindakan pelanggan sampai pada pada titik pembelian. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of leadership style, work environment, and human resource development on employee performance. The method used in this research is explanatory (research explanatory). The sample of this study amounted to 97 people. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and statistical inferential analysis of the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using the Partial least squares approach (SEM-PLS). The findings in the study conclude that leadership style, work environment, and human resource development have a significant effect on employee performance at the General Bureau of the Regional Secretariat of Central Kalimantan Province. The work environment variable is the variable that has the greatest influence on employee performance. Research implications provide information for policy makers, stakeholders and management to pay attention to a good and well-articulated work environment and HR development in organizations.

Abstract

The Community and Village Empowerment Service is the implementing element of Government Affairs in the Community and Village Empowerment Sector which is the regional authority. Implementation of the duties and functions of the Community and Village Empowerment Service as the Implementer of Local Government in the field of Community and Village Empowerment, various efforts have been made by the Leaders, starting from the Staff, Head of Section, Head of Division to the Head of the Katingan Regency Village Community Empowerment Service to spur service and competency improvements. However, all of this has not produced results or has a significant effect on improving employee services. This may be due to a complete lack of competence on how to improve employee services. The problems are as follows: 1) The quality of service is still low at the Katingan Regency Community and Village Empowerment Service. 2). Employee competence is still low in carrying out tasks/jobs at the Community and Village Empowerment Service. 3) Low employee work discipline can be seen from the inaccuracy of employees in using working hours and the absence of attendance (presence) which results in employees not being on time when leaving and coming home from work. This research aims are: 1). To analyze the effect of service quality on service users at the Katingan Regency Community and Village Empowerment Service. 2). To analyze the effect of employee competence on service user satisfaction at the Katingan Regency Community and Village Empowerment Service. This study uses a survey with a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire distributed to respondents. In collecting questionnaires through the process, researchers in collecting primary data with survey methods through research instruments (questionnaires) of all village governments in Katingan Regency with a research sample of 115 respondents. The research site is in Katingan Regency. Primary and secondary data sources, data collection methods used literature study (documentation), and questionnaires. The analytical tool used in this study is the PLS (partial least square) based SEM (structure equation model) method. The results of this study indicate that: The results of testing the effect of service quality on increasing service user satisfaction can be proven by looking at the estimated path coefficient value of 0.115 with a critical point value (t-statistic) of 0.618 (<1.96) or a P-value of 0.000 greater than = 0.05 which means it is not significant. The results of testing the effect of competence on increasing service user satisfaction can be proven by looking at the estimated path coefficient value of 0.763 with a critical point value (t-statistic) of 4.271 (> 1.96) or P-value 0.000 smaller than = 0.05 which means significant.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh motivasi terhadap kinerja melalui kepuasan kerja pada petugas Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja Kabupaten Katingan. Lima puluh dua responden berpartisipasi dalam studi penjelasan ini. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan pemodelan persamaan struktural menggunakan pendekatan partial least squares (SEM-PLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja, baik secara langsung maupun melalui motivasi, dengan variabel motivasi menjadi variabel mediasi parsial. Pimpinan diharapkan memperhatikan kepuasan kerja karyawan karena sebagai variabel mediator berpengaruh positif terhadap pengaruh tidak langsung motivasi terhadap kinerja karyawan.

Abstract

Tahapan pembangunan jalan dari tahap konstruksi ke tahap operasi, mengkonsumsi sejumlah besar energi serta menghasilkan emisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis jumlah energi dan emisi gas rumah kaca (CO2) pada pekerjaan jalan dengan perkerasan lentur (aspal) dan perkerasan kaku (beton) dengan menggunakan pendekatan Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). Studi kasus dilakukan pada ruas jalan di Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengestimasi konsumsi energi dan emisi Gas Rumah Kaca (GRK) yaitu metode Tabel Energy Use and GHG Emissions for Pavement Construction dan Metode Konversi Bahan Bakar yang mengacu pada prosedur standar Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Hasil perhitungan, dengan pendekatan LCA jumlah konsumsi energi untuk konstruksi perkerasan kaku berjumlah 612.16 GJ dan perkerasan lentur berjumlah 268.91 GJ. Hasil perhitungan total emisi menunjukkan perkerasan lentur sebesar 19949.38 kgCO2/km dan perkerasan kaku sebesar 45414.75 kgCO2/km. Kesimpulan penelitian ini bahwa perkerasan lentur lebih ramah terhadap lingkungan dan lebih berkelanjutan dibandingkan dengan perkerasan kaku.
