Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan media geometri menggunakan pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) berbasis GeoGebra. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model 4D Thiagarajan yang terdiri dari tahap pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan diseminasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil validasi media dari validator 1 mendapat skor 46 atau dalam nilai sangat baik, dan dari validator 2 mendapat skor 45 atau dalam nilai baik. Sedangkan hasil validasi materi dari kedua validator manyatakan bahwa media yang dikembangkan ini sangat baik dengan skor masing-masing 51 dan 50. Media ini dapat menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa, mengeksplorasi khasanah kearifan lokal yang digunakan sebagai konteks pembelajaran yang memenuhi semua karakteristik PMRI dan berbasis GeoGebra.The aim of this research is to develop geometry media using PMRI approach based on GeoGebra. This research used methodology of research and development (R&D) of four model of Thiagarajan that consist of four step, which are define, design, develop, and disseminate. The result of this research shows that validate of media from the first expert reviewer got score 46 or in other word this media is very good, then score from the second expert reviewer got 45 or in other word this media is good. And the result of validate of material from both expert reviewer is very good by getting score 51 and 50 respectively. The using of this media can create learning process with students center, explore the local wisdom as a context in learning that material that fulfill all of the characteristic of PMRI based on GeoGebra.

Abstract

Pembelajaran discovery learning sejalan dengan pandangan konstruktivisme yang dapat membantu siswa mengkonstruk pengetahuannya sendiri melalui sebuah kegiatan penemuan. Oleh karena itu perlu disajikan contoh pembelajaran discovery learning yang bertujuan untuk menemukan suatu konsep penemuan luas. Dengan discovery learning siswa akan dihadapkan pada suatu keadaan yang menggugah keinginan mereka untuk bereksplorasi. Dalam eksplorasi tersebut membutuhkan alat peraga atau media yang tepat agar siswa dapat mencoba, mengamati, bernalar, dan mengemukakan gagasan tentang ide-ide matematis. Dengan menggunakan software GeoGebra siswa akan belajar membuat tangram sebagai objek eksplorasi dalam pembelajaran discovery learning. Kata Kunci: Discovery Learning, Tangram, GeoGebra

Abstract

The research aims to enhance the problem solving on a rectangular material and to produce a decent learning tools used in learning. This study uses the ADDIE model development phase Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. The population in this research is class VII SMP N 29 Semarang. The results of the validation expert and student questionnaire mostly indicate the criteria very well. So the device is valid to implement. The results showed teaching materials based comic character education to enhance the problem-solving rectangular material is worthy of (valid) or can be used as teaching materials. Problem solving ability of students to use teaching materials are also comics more effective than student learning outcomes using conventional learning model in the subject matter quadrilateral.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah dengan menggunakan permainan, kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa lebih baik dari pada kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang belajar secara konvensional. penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimen berdesain eksperimen perbandingan kelompok statik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang belajar secara konvensional lebih baik dari pada kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang belajar menggunakan permainan tradisional ditinjau secara keseluruhan, pada tiap level sekolah, dan pada tiap kemampuan awal matematis. Terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara level sekolah dan jenis pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Tidak terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara jenis pembelajaran dengan kemampuan awal matematis terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe profile of problem solving ability of secondary students with high mathematical ability in learning based on realistic mathematics supported by ethnomathematics. This study is descriptive qualitative reasearch. The method of data collection used in this study are written test and interview. Subject of this study is secondary students on class VIIIA SMPN 37 Semarang. The data analysed in this study is problem solving ability which is suitable to problem solving ability of Polya and result of an interview to research subject. The result of this study is profile of problem solving ability of the high mathematical ability student is very good. The student problem solving ability starting from understanding the problem completely and make good planning to solve the problem, then he can do the correct process and produce the right answer. In addition, he could look back the process but still uncomplete yet. Furthermore, hopefully this result will help the teacher in choosing the appropriate strategy or instructional approach in order to improve the students problem solving ability.

Abstract

Mathematical problem solving is a method used to solve knowledge and ability problems related to calculation problems, both personal problems and group problems in everyday life. This research was conducted to determine how the ability of students in solving math problems in elementary schools on discharge material using tests. This research was a type of research that uses qualitative methods with descriptive types, where each result of this analysis will be more accurately and clearly expressed about the problem-solving abilities of students in solving problems. The subjects were 5 students of fifth grade of elementary school. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires, observation, documentation, and tests of mathematical problem-solving abilities as well as interview guides. This research showed that 0% of students experience errors at the question reading stage. 20% of students indicate the error lies in understanding the problem. 16% of students indicated the location of the error in the transformation problem. 24% of students showed the location of the error in the numeracy process skills and the biggest error was writing the final answer by 80%. From this study, there were 1 student who scored below the minimum score, 4 students had exceeded the predetermined standard limit for mathematics lessons. Based on this research, it can find out the locations of the students' mistakes so that it provides instructions for the teacher where the teacher can deploy effective teaching strategies to overcome them.

Abstract

Geometry is an essential subject for students. However, geometry, especially the cone, remains a challenging material for students. Besides, we need the proper media and context for learning mathematics on cone material. This research aims to develop a learning trajectory that utilizes the Megono Gunungan tradition as a context in the learning process using the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) approach. The research method used is Design Research, which consists of three phases of the study: preliminary design, experimental design, and retrospective study. This study's outcome is designing a learning trajectory on cone material using the Megono Gunungan tradition. This learning trajectory comprises four activities, including observing the interactive video of the Megono Gunungan tradition to discover cone elements, finding the concept surface area of a cone using origami paper, and grasping the cone concept volume with magic seeds, and solving contextual problems related to the cone. Studies have shown that using the Megono Gunungan context could help students improve their understanding of the cone concept. Furthermore, this study hoped could be an inspiration for exploring another local wisdom that can be a context in learning mathematics.

Abstract

This research was conducted based on the existing problems, namely the student’s lack of ability when solving math story questions about FPB and KPK material. This study aims to analyze the types of student’s mistake in solving the FPB and KPK material story questions. In addtion, it also aims to describe the possible causes of errors made by IV grade elementary school students in solving FPB and KPK story questions based on Polya’s completion steps. The completion of a story based problem consists of four stages, namely understanding the problem, compiling a plan, implementing the plan, and re-checking the solution obtained. The research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research. The method use is the method of testing and documentation. The results of the study show that there are four types of errors of grade IV elementary school students in solving the FPB dan KPK material story questions based on Polya’s solving steps, namely errors in undestanding the questions, errors ini planning, errors in imolementing the plans, and errors in checking the solutions obtained. The possibility of students making mistake in solving story problems is due to internal factors (within the students themselves), including haste and inaccuracy of students in the process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas untuk memahami kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa yang memahami dan menulis bacaan prosedural dalam menggambar bangun geometri. Hasil penelitian membuktikan siswa mengalami kesalahan dalam memahami konsep jajar genjang sehingga kompilasi menggambar jajar genjang tidak sempurna. Ukuran panjang dan lebar. Siswa tidak menyelesaikan ujian langkah-langkah menggambar dan bahkan tidak menggambar langkah persiapan. Siswa tidak sesuai dalam menentukan langkah atau cara menyelesaikan soal agar terjawab dengan benar.

Abstract

Learning media has an important role in attracting students' interest and as an intermediary for learning activities from teachers to students. The difficulties that exist in mathematics subject require the creativity of mathematics subject teachers to develop their learning, both in terms of methods and media used. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of video learning media for fractional mathematics online in elementary schools. There is an experimental class and a control class from class V from elementary school. The results showed that the use of video learning media for fractional mathematics was effective. The errors that still appear after the research is done are that there are still some students who have not equated the denominator when working on the problem.
