Abstract

Decaffeinated coffee is a coffee that has been processed to decrease the caffeine that contained in coffee. Preference analysis is important to do, it help the producer plane the right marketing strategy to win the competition against brands on the market.  The aim of this research are to identify the consumer preference for decaffeinated coffee purchases from the importance level of each attribute and to identify Ghalkoff's decaffeinated coffee attributes are the most considered in purchasing.  The research questionnaire was distributed to 30 samples of respondents from Bandar Lampung using accidental sampling.  The analytical method used to answer the research is conjoint analysis.  The research showed that consumer preferences for purchasing Ghalkoff’s decaffeinated is refer to coffee with the attributes coffee powder sharp and distinctive aroma that has a soft texture coffe powder with affordable price and easily to find and the attribute most considered to purchase the decaffeinated coffee by consumer is aroma. Key words : attributes, decaffeinated, preference.

Abstract

As many as 98% of Indonesians eat rice so that the demand for rice is very high and causes various preferences and patterns of rice consumption of consumers. This study uses a survey method by conducting direct interviews with 70 households in Bandar Lampung City. Data analysis tool uses conjoint, descriptive quantitative analysis, and multiple linear regressions. The results showed that most of the households consisted of 4-5 people, with an average income of IDR 3,971,429 per month. Household priorities on rice attributes respectively are rice texture, rice price, rice color, and rice aroma. Bandar Lampung City households like rice that is fluffy cooked rice, the price of rice ranges from IDR 9,000 to IDR 9,500, the color of white rice is clean, and the rice does not produce flavorful rice. Most of the households buy random types of rice in traditional markets with a purchase frequency of 1-4 times a month with a size of 10 kg per pack with an average purchase of 23.91 kg/month. Seventy percent of households eat rice 3 times a day and 30% eat rice 2 times a day. Households that only eat rice 2 times/day usually replace rice with substitute foods such as instant noodles, bread, market snacks, and others. The factors affecting household rice demand are instant noodles, fish prices, and the number of household members. Instant noodles are a substitute for rice, while fish, eggs, and Tempeh are complementary food of rice. Key words: preference, consumption pattern, rice demand

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the cost of production, income and marketing mix of tempe agroindustry. This study uses the census method for household clusters according to BPS which are classified into 3 levels, namely small, medium and large. Determination of the research location was chosen purposefully. The population in this study were 19 tempe agroindustries. Respondents in this study were the owners of the tempe agroindustry in Yosodadi, East Metro, Metro City. Field data collecting was carried out in August 2019. The data collected in this study were primary and secondary data. The data was analyzed with quantitative and qualitative descriptive methods. The results showed that the cost of production of tempe agroindustry in Yosodadi, East Metro, Metro City in the small cluster was IDR3,399.40/kilogram, while in the medium cluster was IDR3,521.97/kilogram and in the large cluster was IDR3,351.05/kilogram, tempe agroindustry in Yosodadi Village, East Metro, Metro City is a profitable industry and the marketing mix applied by tempe agroindustry in Yosodadi Village, East Metro, Metro City is not using the cluster method because the types and prices of products in all agroindustries are almost the same.Keywords: agroindustry, cost, income, marketing mix, tempe

Abstract

This research aims to analyze which trade barriers are implemented by European Union (EU) on Indonesian Crude Palm Oil (CPO) commodity and did the non-tariff barrier named “Report on Palm Oil and Deforestation of Rainforrest” which has been ratified by the European Comission (EC) have a significant effects on Indonesian CPO export or not. This research used literature study method with secondary and primary data obtained from BPS, Indonesian National Export Development Agency, Central Bank of Indonesia, Eurostat, WTO, FAO, PASPI, Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture, Indonesian Ministry of Trade and Indonesian Palm Oil Assosiation (IPOA). The results of this research show that the EU has implemented non-tariff barriers on Indonesian CPO since 1905 with various kinds of issues such as health, social and environment. The non-tariff barrier which has been ratified in April 2017 by the European Comission did not significantly affect on Indonesian CPO export.Key words: CPO, European Union, Non-tariff Barriers.
