Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui karakteristik; 2) menguji kelayakan dan; 3) menguji keefektifan penggunaan, pada modul berbasis bounded inquiry lab untuk meningkatkan literasi sains dimensi konten pada materi sistem pencernaan kelas XI. Penelitian dan pengembangan modul menggunakan prosedur Borg & Gall (1983) yang telah dimodifikasi. Data kemampuan literasi sains dimensi konten dianalisis dengan N-Gain ternormalisasi untuk mengetahui keefektifan modul berbasis bounded inquiry lab. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan menunjukkan: 1) modul berbasis bounded inquiry lab untuk meningkatkan literasi sains dimensi konten pada materi sistem pencernaan dikembangkan sesuai dengan tahapan bounded inquiry lab; 2) kelayakan modul berbasis bounded inquiry lab dikategorikan sangat baik; 3) keefektifan modul yang dikembangkan dibuktikan dengan uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan ada perbedaan dalam literasi sains dimensi konten sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan dengan memiliki probabilitas (p) sebesar 0,000 (p<0,05), Ho ditolak.  This research aimed: 1) to find out the characteristics; 2) to test the feasibility and; 3) to investigate the effectiveness of module based on bounded inquiry lab to improve students’ scientific literacy of content dimension on digestive system material of grade XI. This research used procedure of research and development (R&D) by Borg & Gall (1983) that was modified. Data of students’ scientific literacy of content dimension were analyzed by using normalized N- Gain to investigate the effectiveness of module-based on bounded inquiry lab. The research results showed: 1) the module-based on bounded inquiry lab to improve students’ scientific literacy of content dimension on digestive system material was developed in accordance with the syntax of bounded inquiry lab; 2) the feasibility of module-based on bounded inquiry lab was at very good category; 3) the effectiveness of the developed module-based on bounded inquiry lab was proved by Wilcoxon test that showed the differences in students’s scientific literacy of content dimension between before and after learning by using module-based on bounded inquiry lab with probability (p) of 0.000 (p <0.05), Ho was rejected.

Abstract

This research with class action research (PTK), implementation for three cycles, this research data method using observation and test. The subjects of the study were the students of class VI, the indicator of the success of this study is with the average class has meperoleh minimum of at least 70. From the results of student learning outcomes on the subject determines the volume of building space (beams and cubes) reached an average of 64 in cycle I, 68 in cycle II and 85 in cycle III. Based on these results, the use of unit cube props can improve student learning outcomes on the subject. From the observation can also be seen the increase of activity in learning. Suggestion, which can be submitted to class VI teacher in order to be able to use the unit cube props in series of material of choice of volume of wake up space, and student of class VI is expected to practice by using unit cube props to do practice questions determine the volume of wake up space so easy in facing this matter.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penggunaan Alat Peraga dan Koleksi Bacaan untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi dan Prestasi Belajar IPS pada Siswa Kelas VI SDN Blabak 1 Kecamatan Kandat Kabupaten Kediri Tahun Pelajaran 2011/2012. Motivasi belajar yang rendah berpengaruh terhadap presatsi belajar. Alat peraga dan bahan bacaan merupakan kuci utama dalam keberhasilan siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui fungsi alat peraga, mengetahui kelengkapan koleksi bacaan dan mengetahui kontribusi penyediaan alat peraga dan kelengkapan koleksi bacaan dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan prestasi belajar IPS siswa kelas VI SDN Blabak I Kec.Kandat Kab.Kediri. Rancangan penelitian ini dengan menggunakan 3 siklus, dengan teknik validasi trianggulasi. Jumlah subyek penelitian 32 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Siswa mengalami peningkatan, pada siklus I terdapat 19 siswa (59,38%) mencapai ketuntasan belajar dan pada siklus III, 29 siswa (90,63%) mencapai ketuntasan belajar.

Abstract

The logical-thinking ability is one of the important competencies of 21st century that should be empowered. It is one of the aspects in a cognitive science domain that has not been implemented effectively in teaching and learning in the class. Then, this study aimed to analyzed the influence of generative learning model to enhance students' logical-thinking ability. This study was also conducted by using a quasi-experimental study with pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The sample was chosen by using simple random sampling technique. This study involved two classes which had 67 participants consisting of 34 students in Class VIII.9 as an experimental group and 33 students in Class VIII.7 as a control group. The researcher used the instrument of logical-thinking ability formulated in the form of multiple choice tests with five alternative answers that had been tested for its validity and reliability. The analysis of data employed t-test using SPSS 21. The result indicated that the t-count > t-table (2.44 > 1.99) and p-value = 0.017 (p <0.05). It could be concluded that the application of generative learning model resulted in a significant influence on students' logical-thinking ability. The result of the analysis could be used by the schools for evaluating the quality of natural science learning in order to encourage students’ logical-thinking ability.

Abstract

Many acts of terror happen recently. The spread of radicalism and terrorism is well-supported by the sophisticated media and technology. In addition, this advanced information technology is also slowly eroding the local cultures. This paper focuses on how to prevent radicalism by maintaining the local culture in Kudus regency. The method of this research is a qualitative method that uses literature study by examining some of the literatures both printed and online. The results of this study show that Kudus regency is still very strong with their local wisdom. This is shown by the Islamic local cultures which are still preserved today, those are: Dandangan, Kupatan and Syawalan, Bulusan, Kudus Mosque Minaret, Buka Luwur and Cow as Sacred Animal. Globalization tries to erode those local cultures. Nevertheless, Sunan Kudus teaching brings local wisdom of Kudus society could prevent the radicalism in this globalization era.

Abstract

This research examines the effectiveness of RAFT and conventional technique in improving high and low motivated students’ skill in writing expository text and explained the motivation interaction to their skill.  RAFT is a system to help students understand their role as a writer, audience, varied formats for writing, and expected content. This research uses factorial design with 36 students of experimental group and 34 in control group. They are eleventh graders of MA Tarbiyatul Banin, Winong-Pati. The result shows that RAFT is effective in improving the high and low motivated students’ skill in writing expository text on the level of significance 0.05, the conventional technique is effective in improving the high and low motivated students’ skill in writing expository text on the level of significance 0.05. There is interaction of the students’ motivation to students’ skill in writing expository text using RAFT and conventional technique. By using RAFT, the high motivated students’ skill get more improvement and by using conventional technique, the low motivated students’ skill get more improvement. Further, the use of RAFT in improving the students’ skill in writing expository text is more effective than the use of conventional technique.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan penggunaan metode diskusi untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa Kelas III SD Inpres 2 Sidondo pada pelajaran PKn. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas rancangan penelitian model Kurt Lewin. Penelitian dilakukan selama 2 siklus, dengan tahapan: perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, hasil belajar siswa kelas III SDN 2 Sidondo pada mata pelajaran PKn, yaitu: siklus I rata-rata 66,47, ketuntasan klasikal 64,71%, meningkat pada siklus II mencapai rata-rata 85,29 dan ketuntasan klasikal mencapai 88,24%. Keberhasilan penelitian didukung oleh aktivitas guru pada siklus I dengan kategori baik, siklus II kategori sangat baik  dan aktivitas siswa siklus I kategori cukup dan siklus II kategori baik. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode diskusi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas III SD Inpres 2 Sidondo pada pelajaran PKn. Kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar; Metode Diskusi

Abstract

Scientific thinking is a crucial skill for students in facing 21st-century challenges. The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of Creative Problem Solving (CPS) with scaffolding learning implementation on students' thinking skills. The study employed pre-experimental design in which the sample was 96 of population was 270 students. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. The data obtained from the test instrument constructed from four aspects observed. The data was analyzed using dependent t-test. The results showed that there was an influence of the CPS with scaffolding on students' scientific thinking skills. Thus, CPS with scaffolding learning effectively empowered the students’ scientific thinking skills.

Abstract

Abstract: THE PARENTS’ ROLE IN DEVELOPING THE EARLY CHILDHOODLANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT. The purposes of this research are to know thestages of early childhood language development, factors that influence thedevelopment of early childhood language and the roles of parents indeveloping the early childhood language. It is library research or literaturestudy. The first result shows that the early childhood language includesprelinguistic, (protolinguistic) and linguistic fase. The second result showsthat language development is influenced by two factors, internal andexternal factors. Internal factors include biological, gender, intelligenceand the child's own health factors. While external factors are the socioeconomicconditions of families and family relationships. And the latestresult shows that six types of parents’ involvement include parenting,communicating, volunteering, learning at home, making decision, andcollaborating with the family/community).Abstrak: Bahasa anak usia dini perlu ditingkatkan pula. Tujuan daripenelitian ini adalah mengetahui tahapan perkembangan bahasa anakusia dini, faktor yang mempengaruhi pengembangan bahasa anak usiadini dan bagaimana peran orang tua dalam pengembangan bahasa anakusia dini. Jenis penelitian ini adalah library research atau kajian pustaka.Hasil pertama menjukkan bahwa bahasa anak usia dini meliputi tahapanpralinguistik, (protolinguistik) dan linguistik. Hasil kedua menunjukkanbahwa perkembangan bahasa dipengaruhi oleh dua faktor, yaitu faktorinternal dan faktor eksternal. Faktor internal meliputi faktor biologis,jenis kelamin, kecerdasan dan kesehatan anak itu sendiri. Sedangkanfaktor eksternalnya adalah kondisi sosial ekonomi keluarga danhubungan keluarga. Dan hasil terakhir menunjukkan bahwa enam jenisketerlibatan orang tua meliputi parenting (mengasuh), communicating(berkomunikasi), volunteering (sukarela), learning at home (belajar dirumah), making decision (mengambil keputusan), dan collaborating withthe community (berkolaborasi dengan keluarga/masyarakat).

Abstract

Digital learning is a current mode of education today, triggered by the rapid development of information and communication technology in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0. This mode of learning has the capacity to develop the potential and abilities of students,&nbsp; not only in knowledge but also in life skills, especially in terms of innovative creativity which is an important capital in the era of&nbsp; 21st Century. This article discusses the concept of digital learning,&nbsp; readiness for usage, and its role in developing students' innovative creativity. Pembelajaran digital merupakan modus pendidikan masa kini yang dipengaruhi oleh perkembangan pesat teknologi komunikasi dan informasi pada era Industrial Revolution 4.0. Modus ini mempunyai potensi untuk mengembangkan potensi dan kemampuan anak didik bukan saja dalam hal pengetahuan tetapi juga dalam life skills, khususnya dalam hal kreativitas inovatif yang menjadi modal penting dalam kehidupan era Abad 21. Artikel ini membahas tentang pengertian pembelajaran digital serta kesiapan untuk menggunakan, dan perannya dalam pengembangan kreativitas inovatif mahasiswa.
