Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan memperoleh daya tetas telur serta lama tetas telur tertinggi dengan pemberian ekstrak bawang putih untuk mencegah serangan parasit/jamur pada telur ikan mas (Cyprinus carpio L.). Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat menjadi sumber informasi bagi para pembudidaya ikan mas dalam mencegah dan menanggulangi serangan parasit terutama pada telur ikan mas. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan yang dilakukan adalah A (tanpa pemberian ekstrak bawang putih), B (konsentrasi bawang putih 150 ppm), C (konsentrasi bawang putih 300 ppm) dan D (konsentrasi bawang putih 450 ppm). Hasil yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis sidik ragam dan apabila terdapat pengaruh maka dilanjutkan dengan uji Beda Nyata Jujur (BNJ). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa daya tetas telur ikan mas tertinggi pada perlakuan C (konsentrasi 300 ppm) yaitu menghasilkan daya tetas 78% dibandingkan dengan perlakuan konsentrasi 150 ppm (daya tetas 56%), tanpa pemeberian ekstrak bawang putih (45%) dan konsentrasi 450 ppm (daya tetas 32,5%). Hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan perlakuan pemberian ekstrak bawang putih berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap daya tetas telur ikan mas. Lama tetas telur ikan mas selama penelitian pada perlakuan konsentrasi 300 ppm menunjukkan lama tetas tercepat yaitu 48 jam 24 menit, kemudian konsentrasi 450 ppm (48 jam 28 menit), konsentrasi 150 ppm (48 jam 30 menit) dan tanpa perlakuan (48 jam 39 menit). Berdasarkan hasil analisis ragam pemberian ekstrak bawang putih tidak berpengaruh terhadap lama tetas telur ikan mas.

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to identify the highest production of Gracilaria verrucosa cultivated in a sea-fish pond with different seed weights and different plantation intervals.           The research hipothesis was that there was an interaction between different seed weight and planting interval on Gracilaria  verrucosa production. The research was done for 50 days. This research used a Completely Randomized Design in a Two Factorial Experiment with three replicates. The first factor was seed weights: 50 g, 100 g and 150 g. The second factors was plantation intervals included 10 cm, 20 cm, and 30 cm ntervals. The measured parameter was production of Gracilaria verrucosa. Data was analized by ANOVA and Least Significant Difference if the ANOVA result showed significant effect. The planting of Gracilaria verrucosa seaweed using different seed weights and planting intervals was significantly influenced the production of Gracilaria verrucosa. The highest seaweed growth  was was found at 50 g seed weight with 30 cm planting interval and 100 g seed with planting interval 10 cm (590,27 g m-1). The water quality in the research site still good for planting Gracilaria verrucosa seaweed. Key words: Gracilaria verrucosa, production, seaweed.

Abstract

At this time the demand of Tubifex sp is be promoted. This is related to use of Tubifex sp. as fodder seeds that high nutritious. Utilization of organic waste from Tubifex sp. substrate in nature is one effort that can be done to get the maximum results in the business of cultivating Tubifex sp. This research aims to assess the influence of organic wastes of different weight to the absolute weight growth of Tubifex sp. and as information for people who want to cultivate Tubifex sp. These studies using Random Design Complete (RAL) with 4 treatments 5 times repetition, i.e. without the addition of organic wastes (A), the addition of organic wastes 750 g (B), the addition of organic wastes 1250 g (C) and the addition of organic wastes 1750 g (D). To know the influence of the treatment provided diversity analysis, used in the treatment of influential then continued with BNJ. Results of the study showed that the highest growth in absolute weights in treatment C (48,06 g) and the lowest at the treatment A (19.38 g). Further test results of BNJ indicates that treatments without the addition of organic wastes, the addition of organic wastes 750 g, the addition of organic wastes 1250 g and the addition of organic wastes 1750 g another is diferent very markedly. Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan dan produksi rumput laut Eucheuma cottonii yang tertinggi apabila ditanam pada kedalaman yang berbeda. Penelitian dilakukan  selama kurang lebih 50 hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap yang terdiri dari tiga perlakuan yang masing-masing diulang tiga kali. Perlakuannya adalah: K1 ( kedalaman 30 cm ), K2 ( Kedalaman 45 cm ), K3 ( Kedalaman 60 cm ). Parameter yang diukur adalah pertumbuhan dan produksi. Metode budidaya yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode long line. Data yang diperoleh selama penelitian dianalisis ragam, apabila hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan pengaruh nyata maka dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT. Penanaman rumput laut Eucheuma cottonii pada kedalaman yang berbeda memberikan pengaruhyang sangat nyata secara statistik terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi. Pertumbuhan dan produksi rumput laut Eucheuma cottonii tertinggi adalah yang ditanam pada kedalaman 30 cm. Kisaran kualitas air yang diperoleh selama penelitian masih layak untuk budidaya rumput laut Eucheuma cottonii

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menentukan padat penebaran yang menghasilkan pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup (Survival rate) ikan mas tertinggi yang dipelihara dalam wadah terkontrol. Hewan uji yang digunakan adalah ikan mas Majalaya yang mempunyai berat berkisar antara 6,22 – 6,92 gram. Wadah yang digunakan berupa jaring persegi  dengan ukuran luas permukaan 1 m2 dengan kedalaman 1 m. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 5 kali ulangan. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan padat penebaran  berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap pertumbuhan relatif ikan mas yang dipelihara dalam wadah terkontrol. Padat penebaran ikan mas 5 ekor/m2 menunjukkan pertumbuhan relatif tertinggi (343,4) dibandingkan dengan padat penebaran 10 ekor/m2 (246,03) dan 15 ekor/m2 (218,1). Kelangsungan  hidup ikan mas selama penelitian rata-rata 97%. Kualitas air (suhu, O2, CO2, pH, amoniak) masih dalam kondisi yang layak untuk menunjang pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup ikan mas.

Abstract

Chlorella sp. as a source of nutrition for aquatic organisms. Chlorella sp. is one way to meet the needs of aquatic organism feed. In the culture of Chlorella sp., light plays an important role in the process of photosynthesis. The photoperiod of the light will affect the density of cells and chlorophyll produced by Chlorella sp. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze cell density and chlorophyll content with different lighting periods. The purpose of this study was to determine cell density and chlorophyll-a content with different light photoperiode in Chlorella sp. culture laboratory scale. This study was used a complete randomized design with 3 treatments (A (12T: 12G), B (16T: 8G), and C (20T: 4G) and 6 replications. The results show that treatment B (16T: 8G) produces the highest cell density ( 1733.5 x 104 cells / ml) while the highest chlorophyll-a content in treatment A (12T: 12G) was 9.76 μg / ml.

Abstract

Goldfish (Carassius auratus L.), one of the most popular and freshwater ornamental fish to be cultivated in Indonesia. One obstacle in the cultivation of Carassius auratus L. is the high feed cost (60-70%) of the total production cost. The natural food source for fish Carassius auratus L. is Tubifex sp. which has a high nutritional content. The aim of the study was to determine the dosage of Tubifex sp. best for the growth and survival rate of goldfish (C. auratus L.). This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Water Quality and Aquatic Biology, Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, Tadulako University for 2 month (January to March 2020). The experimental design used a Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatment in this study was the administration of silk worms with different doses (A = 6%; B = 8%; C = 10%; D = 12%; E = 14%). The variables measured included absolute weight growth, survival and water quality. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA), with further tests BNJ using Excel 2010 and Minitab 16 application programs. The results showed that the natural feed (Tubifex sp.) shows a significant growth in absolute weight, but has no effect on survival. The absolute growth of goldfish seeds was the highest in the feeding of Tubifex sp. with a dose of 12% of 14.82 ± 2.76 g with a survival rate of 90.63% ± 6.25. Water quality (temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen and ammonia) is still in accordance with the growth needs of goldfish fry.

Abstract

Silk worms (Tubifex sp.) are a natiral food that is wederly used in larvae and fish seed hatchry in the aquaculture industry, with the use of silk worms which are still dominated by the catch of dialar so that there activities result in a decrease in production in nature while the demand for silk worms. It is quite high, one of the offerts to meet the availability of silk worms as natural food for the cultivation process, silkworm culture is crreid out. The succes of silk worm culture is detrmined by the culture media containing organic and non-organic  materilas such as fermented chichen manure, rice baran and tofu dregs. This study pims to deterimine the effect of using the substrate with the additon of termented chicken manure on the grouth of biomass and nutrient content of silk worms (Tubifex sp.). This study was conducted from August 2020 to October 2020 at the Laboratory of Water Quality and Aquatic Biology, Faculty of animal Husbandry and Fisheries, Tadulako University. Hammer. The silk worms that are cultured are silk worms taken from nature under the bridge II Palu Jl I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Tawanjuka, Kec. South Palu City. Central Sulawesi Province. This study was designed using a completely randomized design wiht 4 treatment of 5 replication  in order to obtain 20 experimental  units. Experiments were carried out to see the growth rate of biomass and nutrient content of silkworm (Tubifex sp.) from the culture  process on the substrate of fermented chiken manure, rice bran and tofu pulp. The results showed that the process of biomass growth and good nutritional content was found in the treatment where the amount of substrate was 50 g/L of fermented chicken manure, 50g tofu and 100g of rice bran.

Abstract

Es krim merupakan salah satu produk makanan yang populer dan disukai masyarakat. Pengolahan tepung mangrove jenis Rhizophora menjadi es krim merupakan alternatif diversifikasi pangan kaya antioksidan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari pengaruh penambahan tepung Rhizophora sp dan lama waktu pencampuran (mixing), sehingga didapatkan es krim yang mempunyai karakteristik baik dan sesuai dengan standar nasional tentang es krim (SNI 01-3820-1995). Metode penelitian adalah metode eksperimen Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) terdiri dari 2 faktor perlakuan yaitu : penambahan tepung Rhizophora sp (0, 100, 150, dan 200 g); Lama pencampuran (mixing) (10, 15 dan 20 menit). Variabel penelitian meliputi analisis sifat fisikokimia tepung Rhizophora yaitu kadar proksimat dan aktifitas antioksidan. Analisis sifat fisikokimia es krim meliputi kadar lemak, protein, karbohidrat dan aktifitas antioksidan. Variabel subyektif yang diamati meliputi rasa dan tekstur. Tepung Rhizophora sp hasil analisis mempunyai kadar air 10,11%, lemak 0,48%, protein 2,15%, karbohidrat 82,94%, antioksidan IC50 yaitu 113,7 mg/mL. Perlakuan penambahan tepung Rhizophora berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap nilai kadar protein, karbohidrat dan aktivitas antioksidan. Perlakuan lama pencampuran berpengaruh nyata terhadap nilai kadar protein. Nilai rasa pada kisaran 5,20 (agak suka) – 6,85 (sangat suka), dan nilai tekstur 5,20 (agak suka) – 6,90 (sangat suka).

Abstract

Merkuri (Hg) adalah logam yang mempunyai toksisitas tinggi apabila terdapat dalam perairan. Cacing tanah merupakan salah satu organisme yang hidup di perairan tersebut. Tujuan penelitian untuk menentukan kandungan merkuri dalam sedimen dan cacing Lumbricus sp. yang hidup di perairan yang tercemar limbah dan menentukan parameter kualitas air di perairan yang tercemar limbah merkuri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei. Sampel diambil pada saluran pembuangan limbah yang dibagi menjadi 4 titik pengambilan sampel. Metode Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) digunakan untuk mengukur konsentrasi merkuri (Hg) di sedimen dan cacing Lumbricus sp. Konsentrasi merkuri (Hg) di sedimen dan di cacing Lumbricus sp. tertinggi pada sampel yang diambil dari lokasi tepat saluran pembuangan limbah. Konsentrasi merkuri dalam sedimen dan cacing Lumbricus sp. berkorelasi positif. Konsentrasi Hg dalam cacing Lumbricus sp. meningkat seiring dengan meningkatnya konsentrasi Hg dalam sedimen. Derajad keasaman (pH) dan TOM masih batas maksimum, sedangkan DO, BOD dan COD melebihi batas maksimum yang direkomendasikan. Kata kunci : limbah, merkuri, Lumbricus sp.
