Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine the effect of CORE learning model with Mind Mapping on student learning outcomes at the Protists material in class X SMA Taruna Bumi Khatulistiwa. This research forms are Quasi Experimental Design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This sample consist of two classes of grade X Science 1 as an experimental class and X Science 2 as the control class. Based on the result of the data analysis, the average score of student learning outcomes are taught using the CORE learning model accompanied Mind Mapping at 16.06 while those taught using conventional learning at 13.47. After U Mann-Whitney test of level α = 5% obtained Zcount < -Ztable (-4.05 < 1.96), there are significant differences between the learning outcomes are taught using CORE learning model accompanied Mind Mapping by using conventional learning models. Price of effect size obtained relatively high at 1.06 means CORE learning model accompanied Mind Mapping accounted at 35.54%. This explain the CORE learning model accompanied Mind Mapping have effect on student learning outcomes at the Protists material.  Keywords : CORE learning model, Mind Mapping, Protists, learning outcomes

Abstract

AbstractThis reseach aims to know the feasibility of pop-up book media variety of macroscopic fungi in Hutan Lindung Gunung Naning, as a learning media on biodiversity material in X SMA. This reseach consist of two step. First step is making of pop-up book media and second step is validation of pop-up book media. This reseach was quantitative with descriptive method. Pop-up book media validated by five validators, two lecture pg biology Education FKIP Untan, and there teachers of biology X SMA. One teacher from SMA/MA Negeri 1 Nanga Taman, one teacher from SMA/MA Negeri 1 Sekadau Hulu, and one teacher from SMA/MA Negeri 1 Nanga Mahap. Instrument for validation pop-up book media using validation sheet comprise of ten criteria, with analysis data using Content Validity Ratio (CVR) dan Content Validity Indeks (CVI). Based on data analysis of the validation result, pop-up book media is valid with the value of each Content Validity Ratio (CVR) from ten criteria is 1,00 with Content Validity Indeks (CVI) value is 1,00, so pop-up book media fit to use as learning media on biodiversity material.Keywords: Pop-up book Media, Feasibility, Material Biodiversity

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan Virtual Laboratory berbasis multimedia interaktif pada sub materi penanaman dan pengecatan bakteri, mengetahui kelayakan media tersebut, dan mengetahui respon siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Pontianak yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan Virtual Laboratory. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Development Research (penelitian pengembangan). Development Research terdiri atas dua tahapan yaitu preliminary (persiapan dan desain) dan formative evaluation (self evaluation, expert reviews, small group, dan fields test). Subjek penelitian ini adalah 37 orang siswa. Berdasarkan hasil validasi oleh validator ahli media dan materi, Virtual Laboratory dikategorikan valid dengan RTVTK 3,55. Sedangkan persentase respon positif siswa sebesar 84,15%, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa Virtual Laboratory layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran.   Kata Kunci: Virtual Laboratory, Multimedia Interaktif, Respon   Abstract: This research aims to produce Virtual Laboratory as interactive multimedia on sub material the cultivation and staining of bacteria, knowing about adisability of Virtual Laboratory, and knowing about student responses grade X SMA Negeri 1 Pontianak whom get be taught with Virtual Laboratory. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat media ensiklopedi dari hasil inventarisasi jamur dan menguji kelayakannya sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi keanekaragaman hayati kelas X SMA dan mengetahui jenis-jenis makrofungi yang terdapat di Hutan Adat Dayak Desa Benua Tengah.Bentuk penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan sebanyak 58 jenis makrofungi dari 2 divisi (Basidiomycota dan Ascomycota) dan 24 famili. Validasi ensiklopedi dilakukan oleh lima orang validator. Berdasarkan penilaian validator, media ensiklopedi dinyatakan valid dengan nilai CVR maupun CVI yaitu 1, sehingga layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi keanekaragaman hayati. Kata kunci: Ensiklopedi, inventarisasi makrofungi, Hutan Adat Dayak  Abstract: This study aims to compile them an encyclopedia as a result of fungi inventory which then validated to determine its feasibility as a learning media for biodiversity study and to determine the types of makrofungi which are available in Dayak's traditional forest of Benua Tengah village. The research was quantitative descriptive in format. Samples were taken using purposive sampling. The results of the research found as many as 58 types of fungi from 2 divisions (Basidiomycota and Ascomycota) and 24 families. Encyclopedia validation was done by 5 validators. Based on validator assessment, media encyclopaedia is declared valid with CVR and CVI  vaules are valued 1 in number, so it could be used as learning media for biodiversity study. Abstract

penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi Archaebacteria dan Eubacteria di kelas X SMA Mujahidin Pontianak. Bentuk penelitian adalah Quasi Eksperimental Design dengan rancangan Nonequivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas X MIPA 2 sebagai eksperimen dan kelas X MIPA 1 sebagai kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan sampling jenuh. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes pilihan ganda yang berjumlah 20 butir. Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan model make a match sebesar 15,40 sedangkan pada kelas kontrol dengan model konvensional adalah 13,90. Berdasarkan hasil analisis U Mann-Whitney menunjukkan bahwa Zhitung < -Ztabel (-2,45 < -1,96) sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan model make a match dengan model konvensional. Nilai effect size yang diperoleh 0,61 termasuk dalam kategori sedang dan memberikan kontribusi sebesar 22,91%. Kata Kunci: Model Make A Match, hasil belajar Archaebacteria dan Eubacteria Abstract: This study aims to know the effectiveness of the use of cooperative learning model type make a match on student?s learning outcomes in the material of Archaebacteria and Eubacteria in class X SMA Mujahidin Pontianak. This is a quasi experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. Samples of research were X MIPA 2 as the experimental and class X MIPA 1 as the control. The samples were taken through the sampling saturated. The instrument used was a multiple choice test with a total 20 item. The average of student?s learning outcome taught using a make a match model was 15,40 while in the control class with a conventional model was 13,90. The analysis of U Mann-Whitney indicated that Zcount < -Ztable (-2,45 < -1,96) so it can be concluded that there were differences in the learning outcomes of student using the make a match model with conventional model. Abstract

This research aims to produce Virtual Laboratory as interactive multimedia on sub material the isolation of bacteria, knowing about adisability of Virtual Laboratory, and measure the comprehension of the student PGMIPAU Education Biology FKIP Untan concept whom get be taught with Virtual Laboratory. The research method that used is a Development Research. This method  includes four stages that is the analysis and design stage for produce Virtual Laboratory prototype. The next stage is evaluation and revision until the Virtual Laboratory was proper to use. Implementation of media have done at small group (the student PGMIPAU Education Biology). Be based on result of validation by validator of media and matter, Virtual Laboratory get catagorized as valid with the average of the validation is 3,18. Be based on result of student learnig outcomes obtained average 75,55 with the percentage of completness  is 88,88%. Keywords: Virtual Laboratory, isolation of bacteria.

Abstract

Penelitian tentang isolasi dan aktivitas fermentasi bakteri asam asetat pada nira nipah (Nypa fruticans) bertujuan menentukan jenis dan karakterisasi dari bakteri asam asetat sampai tingkat genus. Isolasi dilakukan menggunakan media spesifik Pepton – Yeast ekstrak – Glukosa + Etanol untuk mengamati jenis bakteri yang berperan dalam aktivitas fermentasi. Identifikasi menggunakan metode standar dari Bergey’s Manual Determinative of Bacteriology. Diperoleh 6 isolat bakteri asam asetat yang berperan dalam fermentasi nira nipah. isolat yang tumbuh tergolong genus Acetobacter.  Dari aktivitas bakteri dalam proses fermentasi nira nipah menjadi asam asetat, diketahui pH maksimal (derajat keasaman) cuka nipah adalah 2-3. Nilai kandungan asam yang dihasilkan dalam fermentasi 25 ml adalah sebesar 9,36%, dengan kandungan alkohol yang terbentuk sebanyak 24,8%.

Abstract

This purpose of this research is to find out the implementation of inquiry model to improve the students` activity and comprehension of concept on the material about food digestion system to the eight year students (class VIII) of SMP Negeri 1 Sukadana in academic year 2008/2009. The sample of this research consists of one class that is class VIII A. The tool of data collecting forms essay test that consists 6 items. The essay test has been validated by 2 validators and it had reliability 0,47 or categorized sufficient. Based on the result of data analysis, the students` comprehension of concept on the material is 64,53% and includes good category. Meanwhile, the students` activity percentage is 85,15% and includes active category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of inquiry model can improve the students` activity and comprehension of concept on the material about food digestion system.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran Make A Match berbantuan Biocard terhadap hasil belajar dan keterampilan argumentasi siswa pada materi Klasifikasi Makhluk Hidup kelas VII SMP Kemala Bhayangkari. Bentuk penelitian adalah Quasy Experimental Design dengan rancangan penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 2 kelas, yaitu kelas VII B sebagai kelas kontrol dan VII C sebagai kelas eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan soal tes. Analisis data menggunakan Effect Size. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan skor rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen sebesar 16,04 sedangkan pada kelas kontrol 13,74. Hal ini menunjukkan model make a match berbantuan biocard memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Keterampilan argumentasi pada penelitian ini menggunakan argumentasi Toulmin yaitu menilai aspek data,claim,warrant dan backing. Hasil penelitian keterampilan argumentasi kelas eksperimen menunjukkan kriteria baik (70,82%), sedangkan pada kelas kontrol dengan kriteria cukup (68,40%). Dapat disimpulkan model make a match berbantuan biocard berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan argumentasi siswa. Abstract The research aimed to determine the application of the Biocard-aided Make A Match learning model to the learning outcomes and students' argumentation skills in the Classification of Living Class VII material of Kemala Bhayangkari Middle School. The form of research was Quasy Experimental Design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design. The research sample consisted of 2 classes, VII B as a control class and VII C as an experimental class. Data collection techniques used test questions. Data analysis used Effect Size. The results showed the average score of the experimental class learning outcomes was 16.04 while that of the control class was 13.74. This shows the biocard-aided make a match model has a significant influence on student learning outcomes. Argumentation skills in this study use Toulmin's argumentation, namely assessing aspects of data, claims, warrant and backing. The results of the experimental class argumentation skills showed good criteria (70.82%), whereas in the control class with sufficient criteria (68.40%). It can be concluded that the make a match model aided by biocard affects the student's argumentation skills.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya potensi anti kanker ekstrak biji pinang merah serta konsentrasi efektifnya sebagai anti kanker dan mengetahui kelayakan LKS sub materi mitosis kelas XII SMA yang dibuat berdasarkan hasil penelitian. Penelitian terdiri atas dua tahap, pertama uji potensi anti kanker Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) biji pinang merah yang dilakukan dengan metode eksperimen dengan 3 perlakuan dan 2 kali ulangan serta 1 kontrol (0 ppm). Data dianalisis menggunakan uji regresi. Kedua, kelayakan pengembangan hasil penelitian berupa LKS diteliti dengan metode deskriptif. Validasi LKS dilakukan oleh lima validator, dua orang dosen dan tiga guru SMA yang mengajar Biologi di Kota Pontianak. Berdasarkan perhitungan regresi didapatkan persamaan linear y=-1,005+0,026x. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak biji pinang merah mempunyai potensi sebagai anti kanker dengan nilai   sebesar 1,972 ppm. Hasil validasi terhadap LKS sub materi mitosis didapatkan skor validasi LKS 3.51 (valid) dengan demikian LKS yang dikembangkan dari hasil penelitian layak digunakan pada proses pembelajaran khususnya sub materi mitosis. Kata kunci : Areca vestiaria Giseke, Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT), Artemia salina Leach, Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) Abstract: This research aims to determine the anticancer potential of Areca vestiaria Giseke extract and it’s effective concentration as anti-cancer, as well as determine the feasibility of mitosis worksheets for third grade of senior high school based on research result. Therefore research consisted of two phases. First phase is anti-cancer potential of Areca vestiaria Giseke using the experimental method with 3 treatments, 2 replications and 1 control (0 ppm). Data were analyzed by regression test. Second phase, the feasibility of the development of research results in the form of worksheets investigated by descriptive methods. Worksheets was validated by five validators, i.e. two lecturers and three senior high school teachers who teach Biology in Pontianak City. Based on the calculation of linear regression, y = -1,005+0,026 x. The results showed that Areca vestiaria Giseke extracts have a potency for as anti-cancer with 1.972 ppm. The validity score mitosis worksheets was 3,51 which categorized as valid, the worksheet are suitable to be used in the learning process, especially for sub material mitosis.
