Abstract

This research was a qualitative research with case study approach. This study has purpose to find out the detail of the implementation of management education in homeschooling Package A Anugrah Bangsa Semarang. This study discussed in depth, covering the planning, implementation and evaluation of the educational programs of homeschooling package A Anugrah Bangsa Semarang. The research subject were the chairman of community learning centers (PKBM) Anugrah Bangsa Foundation Semarang, Principal, Coordinator of package A and tutors of package A. The data collection techniques was done by using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the planning of homeschooling package A Anugrah Bangsa Semarang was done by identifying the learners, tutors, infrastructure, financing, as well as class grouping. Homeschooling package A Anugrah Bangsa Semarang conducts learning by capturing method. The evaluation of Homeschooling package A Anugrah Bangsa Semarang has featured program of giving ecofarming based live skills.

Abstract

The study aims to identify forms of aggressive behavior which are usually displayed by elementary students and analyze the influence of peer interaction, school discipline and authoritarian parenting on the aggressiveness of elementary school students in 4th and 5th grade at Elementary School 2 Bacin and Elementary School 3 Bacin Kudus. Quantitative research uses experimental research methods and comparative causal approaches. The sample selection uses purposive sampling technique.  The sample characteristics used were students of grade IV-V Elementary School 2 Bacin and Elementary School 3 Bacin Kudus, based on screening raised by authoritarian parenting. Data collection uses observation and questionnaire scale. Data analysis using multiple linear regression with the help of SPPSS 21 for Windows. Based on the results of the study, the most common form of aggressiveness is physical aggression in the form of fights between students that trigger violence. The results of the study also showed that there was a significant influence among peer interaction, school discipline and authoritarian parenting on aggressive behavior simultaneously (Fvalue = 3.920 > from Ftable = 2.81). The results of partial hypothesis testing showed that peer interaction and authoritarian parenting had a positive but not significant effect on students' aggressive behavior. School discipline has a negative and significant effect on students' aggressive behavior. Peer interactions, school discipline, and authoritarian parenting explain aggressive behavior by 20.4 %, while 79.6% are influenced by other factors such as ethological, sociological, genetic, situational influences and media violence.

Abstract

This study has a purpose of analyzing the implementation of nationalism values, the role of the principal, teachers, scout coaches, and obstacles in the implementation of scouting activities at Public Elementary School 3 Palu. This study was interactive qualitative research. Subjects who participated in the study were the principal, teachers, scoutmaster, and students. This study applied observations, interviews, and documentation for data collection techniques. The data in this study were analyzed using Miles and Huberman interactive models. The results showed that the values ​​of nationalism were formed through the implementation of scouting activities including marching lines, singing national and regional songs, games, rigging, and campsites, The role of the principal and the teacher was to supervise, provide information and participate in a number of scout activities, and the role of the scoutmaster is to familiarize students with fun scouting activities, The obstacles found in its implementation were weather conditions, student activities outside of school as well as facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to describe the use of project-based learning model to enhance students’ social skills of the fourth graders at SDN 1 Sedonglor and SDN 1 Panongan of Dewi Sartika after participating in project-based learning. This study was a classroom action research using project-based learning and adapting Kemmis and McTaggart model. The subject of this study was the fourth graders SDN 1 Sedonglor and SDN 1 Panongan of Dewi Sartika with the total of 72 students. Students’ social skills were measured based on the improvement in the percentage of students’ social skills during learning process. The research instrument used in this study was observation sheet of social skills. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that project-based learning can enhance students’ social skills of the fourth graders SDN 1 Sedonglor and SDN 1 Panongan of Dewi Sartika in the animal life cycle lesson. Students’ social skills improved from 67.91 before the treatment to 82.15 after the treatment. The results show that PjBL is effective to enhance students’ social skills.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to improve the students achievement in energy resources theme by using Edusainsnopoly in grade IV of elementary school. The type of study is a Classroom Action Research using 2 cycles. The result of analyzing data and reflection in every cycles show the improvement of students? achievement by using energy resources theme is higher than that of student?s who using contextual learning in the classroom. The achievement percentage target indicators is 75%, but in cycle 1 the percentage is about 72%. Since it have not fulfilled yet the achievement target indicators, so it continues to cycle II. In cycle II, the percentage of the achievement target indicators increases into 84%, which mean that there are about 12% of increasing. According to the result above it shows that the use of edusainsnopoly media can improve the students achievement in energy source, theme in grade IV of elementary school.

Abstract

The research aim is to analyze the influence and effectiveness of problem based learning model with sociocultural insight to student social skill. This quasi experimental research used nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of Primary School I Krangkeng students as the experimental group and Primary School II Krangkeng as the control group. They were taken by purposive sampling technique. The technique of collecting data was questionnaire. Then, it was analyzed by Paired Sample t-test and Independent Sample t-test. The findings showed that problem based learning with sociocultural insight could improve the students’ social skills. It was proven by social skill average improvement from pretest – 34.17 into posttest – 43.76, there was significant difference between experimental group – implementing problem based learning with sociocultural insight, and control group – implementing expository or conventional model. It was shown by the significant score, lesser than 0.05. It was 0.005 > 0.05 and 0.003 > 0.05.

Abstract

Stimulation on language development aspects is greatly needed since humans’ life may not be separated from language use and acquisition. This research aims at examining the influence of literacy and read aloud activities on the early childhood education students’ receptive language skills. This research is a correlational quantitative study conducted with a survey approach. The research population was the students of Early Childhood Education Institutions in South Purwokerto District, Banyumas Regency. There were 54 Early Childhood Education Institutions in South Purwokerto District divided into 7 groups/clusters. The sampling of this research was conducted by using the Slovin’s formula with the total samples of 115 students of Early Childhood Education Institutions. The data was collected through observation and then descriptively analyzed in percentages using multiple regression analysis supported with SPSS 23.0. The research results showed that literacy activities influenced the Early Childhood Education students’ receptive language skills with the t-count value of 6.620 at the significance of 0.000. Read aloud activities also influenced the Early Childhood Education students’ receptive language skills with the t-count value of 8.066 at the significance of 0.000. Literacy and read aloud activities significantly influenced the Early Childhood Education students’ receptive language skills with the f-count value of 70.386 at the significance of 0.000 and the total influence of 55.5%. Thus, it is suggested that literacy and read aloud activities should be continuously made to improve the Early Childhood Education students’ receptive language skills.

Abstract

Interest in learning is an important aspect for students in the teaching and learning process. Student learning interest arises influenced by various factors including learning facilities, the school environment and self-regulation. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of learning facilities and the school environment through self-regulation on the learning interests of elementary school students. This research is a correlational study with a cross sectional study approach. There were 138 students taken as sampling from the total population. The instrument used was a questionnaire and data analysis was performed statistically, with multiple regression test. The results showed that learning facilities affect student learning interest. The school environment influences student interest in learning and self-regulation moderates the influence between learning facilities and the school environment on student interest in learning.

Abstract

Javanese poetry (geguritan) learning still does not get maximum attention because there are no (geguritan) books that are integrated with local wisdom values. This research is to integrate Javanese poetry (geguritan) with the value of local wisdom contained in the enrichment book. This study aims to develop an enrichment book for writing Javanese poetry (geguritan) containing the value of local wisdom; produce a valid enrichment book; test the acceptance of the enrichment book and test the effectiveness of learning to write geguritan using the developed enrichment book. This research uses the model of Research and Development (R and D)The results showed that The results showed that enrichment book was valid with a score of 3.10was valid with a score of 3.10; the acceptance test of this enrichment book is 77.56% and the learning effectiveness test using this enrichment book is effective with an average value of 87.63. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the geguritan writing enrichment book is effective to be applied in elementary schools and is able to improve the quality of learning
