Abstract

This research was conducted to contruct the critical thinking test instrument for the students to facilitate the learning procces especially on the subject of physic. This study aims to get a picture of the characteristic of critical skills test thinking; quality of the test instrument is critical thinking; and the state of critical studenst thinking regarding temperature and heat matter. This research is a mixed method research strategy that involves the processe of collecting and analyzing data in one lesson.Sheet of essay validation, the observed aspects are material,construction and language. a collection methods used are test technique. Data analyst techniques used are quantitative descriptive analyst, qualitative descriptive analyst and descriptive stastistics analyst. The results of the study showed that (1) Instrument characteristic of students critical thinking skill test is made by ennis indicator tranlation (1966) namely basic clarification; basic in making desicions and support; inferece; Basic Clarification; strategy and tactic.The test instrumentMade is an essay with temperature and heat material.essay test is one form of written test. The composition consist of items of question items trough the description of words that reflect students thinking ability (2) the quality of the thinking skills test instrument is borrowed from the aspect of validity, distingualisting power, the level of ease and reability of the data analiyst show the good category.(3) stateofthe students thinking test skills identified critical thinking test obtained from the results of data analyst are categorized being with score of 69,25.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh temuan lapangan peneliti di mana siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep fisika yang menyebabkan rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa, sebagai dampak akhir yaitu rendahnya hasil belajar fisika. Salah satu penyebab permasalahan tersebut adalah ketidaksesuaian model yang digunakan guru dalam proses pembelajaran, sehingga perlu diterapkan model yang sesuai untuk mengatasi masalah yang ditemukan. Salah satu model yang sesuai untuk mengatasi masalah yang ditemukan yaitu model Exampel Non Exampel. Penelitian ini berujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh dan signifikan penggunaan model Exampen Non Exampel terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada pembelajaran fisika khususnya pada materi getaran, gelombang dan bunyi di kelas VIII Madrasah Tsanawiyah (Mts) Asas Islamiyah Kota Jambi Tahun 2019/2020. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah Cluster Random Sampling, sehingga didapatkan sampel yaitu VIII A dan VIIIB. Instrumen penelitian adalah tes hasil belajar fisika. Analisis hipotesis penelitian menggunakan uji “t” dan untuk melihat antara dua variabel diskrit menggunakan korelasi phi. Berdasarkan hasil uji “t” menunjukan adanya perbedaan hasil belajar kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol. Hal ini dibuktikan oleh hasil uji t, dengan nilai 2,01<3,135>2,68 pada taraf signifikansi 5% dan 1%. Hasil uji korelasi phi dengan nilai 0,273<0,431>0,23 pada taraf signifikansi 5% dan 1%. Hasil korelasi phi menunjukkan adanya pengaruh dan signifikansi penggunaan model Exampel Non Example.

Abstract

This study discusses the learning cycle of learning cycles in integrated Natural Sciences subjects towards student learning activities at SMP Negeri 22 Jambi City. This research is a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental design with a posttest only control design, while the data is carried out using a questionnaire. This study found that the use of the cycle learning model had a significant effect on student learning activities at SMP Negeri 22 Jambi City. From the data analysis using the "t" test, it is obtained –table≤ tcount ≤ + ttable or -1.999 ≤ 3.76≤ +1.999 so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. From the calculation of the effect size, it is obtained d = 0.9 with a proportion of 82%. This shows that the learning cycle learning model has a significant effect on student learning activities compared to conventional learning models. Teachers can use the learning cycle learning model in learning activities, especially in Natural Science subjects so that students can actively participate in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aimed to produce a android-based learning media that is valid, practical, and observe the potential effects on learning outcomes. The type of research used in the development research method which consists of the Preliminary stage (preparation and design phase) and the Prototyping stage using formative evaluation used (Self Evalution, one to one, small group, and field test). Data collection is done using validation sheets, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. The subjects used students of class VIII of Palembang 40 Junior High School 2020/2021. 6 students were taken randomly at the One to One stage, 9 students in the Small Group stage, and 3 classes in the field test stage. The results of this study were (1) produced android-based learning media on linear equation system of two variables matter which was valid. (2) produced android-based learning media on linear equation system of two variables matter which was praktical yet. Because not all students can install it on their Smartphone. (3) The potential effect that appears at the trial stage to make students more interested and active later on student learning outcomes. seen from the average field test which reached 76.25%, this value is included in the good category

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning result of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al JauharenTanjung Johor Jambi by using cooperative script method in integrated science learning.This research is PTK (Classroom Action Research),using cooperative script method.Data collection conducted with observation sheet and test, which is conducted in the end of each cycle. The subjects of this research are students of class VII A Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al JauharenTanjung Johor Jambi numbered 30 people.In the application of this cooperative script method, gained an improvement in student learning result in each cycle. Cycle I average score of students is 72.3 with 66.67% student’s completion index. Cycle II average score of students is 77,37 with 80% student’s completion index.Improvement of cooperative script application succeed can be seen from the gain index, which cycle I increase 0.6 (medium), cycle II 0.7 (high). From the results of this research it’s recommended that cooperative script method can be applied by teachers in science learning in school, to improve learning result.

Abstract

Penelitian yang berjudul “Profil Kemampuan Metakognisi Siswa SMP, Studi Kasus Pada Pembelajaran IPA di SMP” ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran profil metakognisi dan siswa SMP pada setiap jenjang kelas VII, VIII dan IX . Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi kasus di salah satu SMPN di Kecamatan Stabat. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP Kelas VII, VIII, dan IX yang dipilih secara Purposive sampling . Data dijaring melalui angket metakognisi, dan tes metakognisi yang diberikan kepada siswa secara daring. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa kesadaran metakognisi siswa SMP menurun di setiap jenjang kelas, dan keterampilan metakognisi siswa SMP meningkat pada setiap jenjangnya, tetapi siswa tidak menyadari kemampuan metakognisinya.

Abstract

Penelitianinibertujuanuntukmembuktikanadatidaknyapengaruh model pembelajaranConnecting, Organizing, Reflecting and Extending (CORE) terhadaphasilbelajar IPA Terpadusiswa di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 29 Tanjung JabungTimur.Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen yaitu Posttest Only Control Design.Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII yang terdiri 50 siswa.Sampling yang terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas VIII B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII A sebagai kelas kontrol.Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan soal objektif pilihan ganda. Dari hasil analisis data, rata-rata hasil nilai post test kelas eksperimen adalah 78,1dan kelas kontrol nilai rata-rata hasil belajar adalah 71,1. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dengan menggunakan uji “t” maka nilai “t” yang diperoleh adalah 2,779 dan lebih besar dari ttabel (baik pada taraf signifikan 5% maupun dari taraf 1% artinya 2,01<2,779>1,68, maka Ha (hipotesis alternatif). Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara penerapan model pembelajaran Connecting, Organizing,Reflecting and Extending (CORE) terhadap hasil belajar IPA Terpadu siswa kelas VIII B di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 29 Tanjung JabungTimur.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the substitutive relationship between learning mathematics, the method of adding wisdom stairs with the Vedict Math addition method. In this study, the method used was experimental. While the approach used is quantitative. The quantitative approach used includes the Spearman level correlation method. The Spearman level correlation method is applied to determine the level of closeness of the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable which contains ranking elements or is related to the order of the data. Based on the results of the Spearman level correlation test in the context of this experimental research, it is concluded that the change in the posttest value of the wisdom ladder addition method creates a substitutive relationship with the change in the posttest value of the vedict math method. So it can be stated that the vedict math addition method can be used as a substitutive for the method of adding the wisdom ladder.

Abstract

Mathematics is a science that requires good literacy skills in order to be able to solve problems that exist in everyday life. PISA (Programme for International Student Asessment) is an effort to improve mathematical literacy skills aimed at 15 year old students. One of the PISA content that is closely related to daily life is social content. This study aims to see the extent to which students' mathematical literacy skills and the validity of a PISA question are associated with the Covid-19 pandemic issue. The method used was a research and development method. The focus of this study was the self-evaluation stage, the expert review and the one-to-one stage which resulted in six PISA questions with different levels which were tested on three students with different levels of ability. So that the final result is obtained in the form of six valid PISA model questions by considering the one-to-one results and expert review.

Abstract

Creating and developing PISA model math problems using contexts with situations and conditions in everyday life can expand students' thinking in solving these problems. The aim of the author in conducting this research is to produce a PISA model mathematical problem using a valid Covid-19 context. This study involved two expert reviews, six peers, and three grade IX students of private junior high schools in Palembang as one-to-one research subjects. The research method used is a design research type of development study. Data collection techniques consisted of documentation, walk-throughs, tests, and interviews. The developed questions consist of one item. The results of the study stated that the questions developed were valid in terms of content, construct, and language by experts and colleagues. The question instrument has also been tested on students at the one-to-one stage to see its validity and from the one-to-one stage the questions are declared valid, it can be seen from students who can understand the purpose of the questions, are able to make assumptions and make related settlement plans so that can produce the correct answer.
