Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of mastery of science process skills in physics    chemistry practicum students based on linguistic and interpersonal intelligence. This research was conducted with a quantitative descriptive method. This research was conducted with a quantitative descriptive method. The respondents of this study were 66 students of the 2017 class of chemistry study program consisting of two classes. The data collection technique is done by interview, observation, documentation, and test. This research was conducted in the physical chemistry laboratory of the Department of Chemistry, Universitas Negeri Semarang. The research results obtained were the percentage of science process skills of students of the 2017 batch of chemistry study program students. The result of the percentage of science process skills in class 1 students is an indicator of formulating hypothesis with a percentage 74.26%, interpreting data 73.53%, and asking question  77.57%. The result of the percentage of science process skills in class 2 students is an indicator of formulating hypothesis with a percentage 71,88%, interpreting data 74.22%, and asking question  72.27 %.

Abstract

This research was done due to the limited learning resources that can be used by students independently. The purpose of this research was to develop a module based on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics integrated with Chemo-entrepreneurship to develop students' conservation character and entrepreneurship. This study used a research and development design (R&D). The data were obtained and analyzed by using descriptive percentage. The results of the module feasibility test done by the experts obtained an average of 84.8% with very feasible category for use. The students and teachers responses from Askhabul Kahfi and Lemuria Vocational High Schools showed 94% and 91% results with very good category. Based on the analysis of the cognitive learning outcomes of Askhabul Kafi and Lemuria students, it showed that students achieve an average completeness that exceeds 75, achieve classical completeness of more than 75% and experience an increase from the pretest and posttest scores. In addition, based on the observation of conservation character has increased with N-Gain 0.64 in the medium category and 0.73 with the high category. While the distribution of student entrepreneurial interest questionnaires has increased with an N-Gain of 0.68 in the moderate category and 0.79 with the high category. So these results suggest that the developed modules are effective to enhance the students’ conservation character and entrepreneurial interest.

Abstract

The transformation on the industrial era 4.0 has greatly influenced changes in the way students learn who are more dominantly use gadgets both online and offline. This research aims to develop an e-Learning XHTML Editor (EXE) learning media which is feasible to be used in chemistry learning on the topic of Chemical Bonding, and also to test the validity and practicality of the media. The study used a research and development (R & D) design by adapting Hannafin and Peck’s model. The steps are limited to the design of EXE learning media. The feasibility of the EXE learning media is tested in terms of validity and practicality. The instrument used are validation questionnaire and students’ response questionnaire. The data were obtained and analyzed by using descriptive percentage. The results of the feasibility test conducted by the material experts, media experts, and teachers obtained an average of 89% with very feasible category. Meanwhile, the practicality test was obtained from the results of students’ response questionnaire from SMAN 8 Samarinda and SMAN 3 Tenggarong, showing the practicality value is 87% with the category of very practice and easy to operate and useful. It means the EXE learning media is feasible and practice to be used as chemistry learning media on the topic of Chemistry Bonding.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the media's feasibility in terms of the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of infographic media as student learning media. This type of research develops ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model with data collection techniques in the form of media validation sheets given to media expert lecturers and material experts, as validators, and distributing questionnaires online to 100 Unesa physics students as respondents. Validation measurements from expert lecturers and the ability to understand and practice and the media's effectiveness from respondents used a Likert switch. The validation results from the expert lecturers based on the learning aspects, the material aspects, and the media aspects and physics students' responses based on the ability of understanding and practice and effectiveness. The result of the average value shows that the respondents agreed to the media being developed. Based on the results of student responses, the validity test was obtained with a value of r count> r table, so that the media designed was declared valid, and based on the reliability test with a Cronbach's alpha value greater than 0.6, the questionnaire was declared reliable or consistent. It can conclude that the infographic media that develops nomography techniques are conceptually feasible and can be used in the learning of students' scientific literacy.

Abstract

Research and development for distance learning has been carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic which has produced learning media in the form of an interactive digital physics module based on a virtual laboratory for dynamic fluid material. At the development stage, the research was carried out at SMAN 1 Tempel, to test the use of modules in class XI MIPA1. The research method used is the theory of research and development (research and development) or R & D by Sugiyono. The module view uses the Flip PDF Professional application and the content is self-learning videos with the vokoscreen application, youtube link, PHET application, Quizizz. The digital module was validated by media expert lecturers and material content experts, as well as module trials by 35 students of class XI MIPA1. The results of the validation of the media expert obtained 92.36%, the expert validation of the material content was 86% so that the expert validation obtained by the classification of the module was very valid / very feasible to use. The results of student responses using the module gave an average response of 87.8% with a good category, with an average quiz result of 78.These results indicate that the use of interactive digital modules based on virtual laboratories on dynamic fluid material is very feasible, easy, and attracts students to studied physics at home during the C-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The low HOTs of students is caused by the lack of opportunities to think scientifically. The research objective was to analyze HOTs profiles through Analyze (C4), Evaluate (C5), and Create (C6) indicators through science learning based on integrated ethnoscience STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). The research method was a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design with a purposive sampling technique in Class X SMK Accounting 1 which consisted of 37 students. The data collection method used HOTs test questions with the concept of "Waste and Its Handling". In-depth interviews were conducted to explore ethnoscience information in Wonosobo District. Documentation of the HOTs profile of SMK students and the surrounding environment in the Dieng Wonosobo plateau area. The t-test to analysis the effectiveness of STEM integrated ethnoscience learning in increasing HOTs. The results showed the HOTs profile of vocational students on the analyze indicator (C4) was 73.3%, evaluated (C5) was 71.5%, and created (C6) was 67.8%, Based on the t-test was tcount: 2.08, ttable: 2, 00, dk: 72, α: 5%, so tcount>ttable, then H0 rejected and H1 accepted means that there is the effectiveness of STEM integrated ethnoscience-based science learning in increasing the HOTs of SMK students. Abstract

Research is motivated by the lack of understanding of students on chemical bonding material so that it has an impact on low learning outcomes and the use of effective learning media has not been utilized optimally. This study aims to determine the effect of comic media on students' understanding of concepts. This research is a mixed method. The research subjects of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Sumenep class X IPA I and II were 39 students divided into 25 males and 14 females. Research data obtained and analyzed. The results showed that the average level of concept understanding with pretest and posttest was 12.09% and 69.6%, the percentage increase was 57.51%, the pretest normality test was 0.513 (> 0.05), then the data was normal, while the posttest was 0.368 (> 0.05) then the data is normal. The t-test results of the pretest and posttest are the tcount value (27,042)> ttable (1,686). The ttable value obtained with a confidence level of 95% and df 38, so it can be concluded that there is an effect of using comics media on the understanding of the concepts of Sumenep Private High School students on chemical bonds.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the large number of video learning media teaching materials to write poetry texts taken from Youtube without any adjustment and filtering of the content contained. The purpose of this study was to analyze the results of the suitability of video learning media on Youtube with the curriculum of writing poetry in class X SMA. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with research data sources obtained from Youtube. The results of this study refer to the indicators of the suitability of writing poetry in the curriculum by paying attention to the building blocks, namely theme, diction, language style, image, structure, and appearance. The results of the analysis show that in the discussion of the poetry theme there are four videos that are in accordance with the 2013 revised curriculum. One of the videos did not describe the theme material in detail. The diction material is discussed in all videos analyzed by the researcher. Furthermore, the language style is presented in all videos with a variety of different explanations according to the development of each presenter. In the presentation of image material, only one video describes it in detail, namely the video entitled Poetry Writing Learning Videos. In the material physical and mental structure, the physical and mental structure of the poetry is described as a whole. These structures are conveyed in all the indicator points of this research analysis which are part of the physical and mental part of the poetry. In the form or typography presented in four videos explaining the lyrics, good, and characteristics.

Abstract

The purpose of the research are to develop CIHOE "Chemistry Island: Heaven Of Elements” game as a learning media in elemental chemistry material and also to test the validity, practicality and the effectiveness of the game. The method that used in this research is Gall and Borg development model. The steps are limited to the preliminary field testing. The preliminary field testing step was conducted using one group pretest posttest design. The instrument that used are validation questionnaire, observation sheet, student’s response questionnaire, pretest and posttest questions. Data collection were conducted with 15 students of SMAN 1 Menganti. The validity of the game is 91,25 %, which means very valid. The practicality value of the game is 92,6 % which means very easy to operate and useful. The observation result of the student’s learning activity is 98,57 %. The classical completeness at the pretest is 13 %, while in the posttest reaches 93 %. It means that CIHOE game is very effective to be used as a learning media in elemental chemistry material. By the development of CIHOE game, researcher hopes that it will help chemistry teachers to explain elemental chemistry material.

Abstract

Self-efficacy is one of the important aspects for teacher education students. High self-efficacy helps them to be more confident in doing their teaching practices. This can also affect their future performance as pre-service teachers, especially in the ICT field. In order to understand their self-efficacy, it is necessary to explore the source of self-efficacy thoroughly. This study aims to explore the sources of self-efficacy of ICT teacher -education students of Information and Computer Engineering Education at a private university in Salatiga who have completed their teaching practicum program. This study employs qualitative methods, and uses interviews for data collection. This involves 10 student teachers as participants. The results of the study describe the sources of self-efficacy of the student teachers. It identifies four sources of self-efficacy, they are mastery experience, vicarious experience, verbal persuasion and emotional arousal. The results show that the four main sources studied in this study contributed a lot in increasing the self-efficacy of the ICT student teachers.  Finally, this study offers recommendations for further research.
