Abstract

This research was a classroom action research conducted in 4 meetings in the first cycle, and the second cycle was designed through four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data of this study were the basic abilities of playing kasti as psychomotor data and the score of practice questions were as cognitive data. Observation was as effective data. The data source of this research was the IV grade pupils of SDN 1 Luwuk, Banggai Regency, 30 pupils. Data collection on the ability of playing kasti used the running, throwing and catching the ball, hitting the ball, and bouncing the ball techniques assessment sheets as well as multiple choice assessment sheets in the first cycle, and in the second cycle, the data collected were analyzed quantitatively. The quantitative results of the learning outcomes data of playing kasti  in the initial conditions were 23.33% in the complete category with 7 pupils, and after being given the action, the results of learning to play kasti in the first cycle in the complete category was 70.73%, and the number of pupil who completed was 19 pupils, and in the second cycle there was an increase in the percentage of the results of playing kasti in the complete category of 93.33%, and the number of pupil who completed was 28 pupils, and 2 other pupils who did not complete were suffering physical disorders. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mendiskripsikan proses pelaksanaan kemampuan motorik kasar melalui Kegiatan Senam Irama pada anak Kelompok Bermain Nurul Iman Padas Ngawi tahun ajaran 2018/2019; 2) mendiskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan motorik kasar melalui kegiatan senam irama pada anak Kelompok Bermain Nurul Iman Padas Ngawi tahun ajaran 2018/2019.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas kolaboratif dengan menggunakan modifikasi model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart yang meliputi empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah anak Kelompok Bermain Nurul Iman Padas Ngawi yang berjumlah 12 anak terdiri dari 3 anak laki-laki dan 9 anak perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Indikator keberhasilan yang ditetapkan yaitu jika minimal 75% atau 9 anak dari 12 anak memiliki kemampuan motorik kasar dengan kriteria berkembang sangat baik.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Proses pelaksanaan  kegiatan senam irama dalam meningkatkan kemampuan motorik kasar anak kelompok Bermain Nurul Iman Padas Ngawi meliputi : a) gerak lengan; b) gerak kaki; c) kombinasi gerakan lengan dan kaki yang dilakukan sebanyak 6 pertemuan  dalam 2 siklus ; 2) kegiatan senam irama dapat meningkatkan kemampuan motorik kasar anak sebesar 92%, dengan hasil pada: pra siklus diperoleh 0% atau belum ada anak dari 12 anak berada pada kriteria berkembang sangat baik, b) siklus I diperoleh 8% atau 1 anak dari 12 anak yang berada pada kriteria berkembang sesuai harapan, c) siklus II diperoleh 92% atau 11 anak dari 12 anak yang kemampuan motorik kasar berkembang sangat baik. Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Motorik Kasar, Kegiatan, Senam Irama, Kelompok Bermain, PTK.

Abstract

The establishment of the K-12 curriculum has had a significant impact on subject requirements related to the outcome-based education plan and the requisite output for a given research report or requirement. Social networking platforms enable students to effortlessly complete a variety of tasks, such as learning and performance. By intervening in research, social networking sites break down the barriers that limit both students and teachers in the research process. Three methodologies or ideas have arisen, known as approaches, that could help you facilitate teaching research, even if you are not in the research discipline: the Facebook-Personality Network Approach, the Virtual Research Journal, and the Google Immersion Approach. It is considered favorably by some students and users, but there are those who take advantage of its negative aspects. Instead of focusing on the emerging ideas or topics created by coding, I used social networking sites to demonstrate that research can be done anytime, anyplace, for any purpose or cause. According to the outcome-based education paradigm, students found the three techniques highly engaging. Abstract

Stakeholders’ partnership in schools is a key factor in delivering a relevant, enabling, and responsible education to the learners. However, in the course of establishing this partnership, conflicts arise inevitably. The main objective of the study was to examine the prevalence of conflicts in schools that involve parents through a document analysis. A total of ten online cases were analyzed and served as the primary sources of data in this study. Coding was done to determine the emerging themes in each case. The analysis revealed that sexual and physical violence committed by a teacher or school official towards the learner; and negligence of duty which resulted in damage to the learner were the common sources of conflict. This suggests that parents’ involvement in the issues is something favorable as apparently parents are expected to be the protectors and defenders of their children especially in times when children’s rights and welfare are at stake or violated. The findings further revealed that in most conflicts, the learners were mostly offended while teachers and school authorities were mostly offenders. This finding suggests that children, even in school or under the custody of the teachers and school authorities, are still vulnerable to any form of violence and danger; and sometimes become helpless and defenseless especially when the persons who they expect to protect them become the aggressors. The finding also revealed that the learners mostly favored the court’s decision. This conveys that in every court ruling, it is still the best interest of the children which is being given the foremost considerations. The implications from the findings of the study may inform the higher authorities in the Department of Education on how such conflicts will be prevented from happening. Also, based on the findings, it is recommended that the education department should take further actions in strengthening the implementation of the Child Protection Policy to keep every learner well-informed of their rights and make every stakeholder aware of their duties and responsibilities in promoting the well-being and education of the learners.Keywords: conflicts, learners, negligence, parents, physical violence, sexual violence.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jiip.v2i2.21817

Abstract

When Child Protection Policy (CPP) has been implemented, many teachers strive to maintain discipline and execute the curriculum through instruction. In the worst circumstances, lawsuits related to student discipline and classroom management have been filed against teachers. With this, the Philippine Congress created the bill Teacher Protection Act (TPA) primarily authored by Antonio L. Tinio, France L. Castro, and Ramon H. Durano VI. This act protects the teachers from students of bad behavior, abusing the legal empowerment from CPP. This shift leads to the conduct of this study. This phenomenological study aims to give insights about the bill (the phenomenon) and to gauge how the teacher participants perceive it (the perception). An interview is conducted among five (5) tenured teacher participants. They are asked to assess the house bill content and its future implications to provide insights to the teachers, other stakeholders, and the lawmakers. The investigation identifies that: (a) CPP is a hindrance to student discipline; (b) TPA must be immediately implemented; (c) the act is perceived to be a protection, but must be improved; (d) there are no clear guidelines to implement the act so far; (e) legal assistance in cases related to student discipline and classroom management is one of the best features of the act; (f) equality between students and teachers are perceived to be significant; (g) financial constraint is a consideration to be made to successfully implement the act; and (h) though the participants may single out some points to re-consider, they are still positive towards the act and what it can do for the welfare of the teachers.Keywords: Teacher Protection Act, Child Protection Policy, Student Discipline, Classroom Management. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jiip.v2i2.21786

Abstract

Infrastructure facilities are essentially a support in the implementation of an educational process or the implementation of counseling guidance. Without the infrastructure, the implementation of counseling guidance will be constrained and the goals to be achieved are not as expected. If the infrastructure does not exist in an educational institution, it will cause counseling guidance personnel in schools to have difficulty collaborating in the implementation of counseling guidance in schools. From that counseling guidance requires facilities and infrastructure to be used in the implementation of counseling guidance in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the cognitive abilities of early childhood aged 5-6 years through playing experiments in science at Nur Annisa Ciracas School, East Jakarta, the odd semester of the 2019/2020 school year. This research is a classroom action research. This research method is a classroom action research which refers to the model of Kemmis Taggart. This study consisted of II cycles where each cycle included 4 stages, namely planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The research implementation time was 2 months, namely August and September with 12 students as research subjects, while the data were collected through observation, interview and observation. Based on the research results in cycle I and cycle II, there was an increase in cognitive abilities through playing science experiments. This is evidenced by the increase in the average value per class in cycle I = 60.06% and an increase of 20.14% in cycle II = 80.20% which has exceeded the 75% success criteria. Abstract

This study discusses the urgency of developing Information Literacy and Cultural Literacy in Early Childhood in the context of the application of the National Literacy Movement. The purpose of this paper is to photograph the concept and the extent of the urgency of the introduction of information literacy skills and cultural literacy in early childhood in supporting the application of the National Literacy Movement. Review the role and internalization of daily activities and teaching and learning activities in the classroom in the context of information literacy and cultural literacy. This research uses a qualitative research approach with literature study design and conceptual analysis. The results of this study indicate that there is a need for early childhood recognition and planting in relation to the ability of information literacy and cultural literacy in responding to the development of global society and multiculturalism. From this study it was also revealed that there was a need and attention from stakeholders to facilitate and reduce the concept of information literacy and cultural literacy for young children in a more complete grand design and technical implementation in the community and schools.Keywords: information literacy, cultural literacy, early childhood, early childhood Education. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jiip.v2i2.21818
