Abstract

Women's economic empowerment is the capacity of women to participate, contribute, and benefit from the process of economic growth in a way that recognizes the value of contributions and respects the dignity of women. This service activity is in the form of sewing training and marketing scrunchie for the women's community in Rata Ara village, District of Bener Meriah. This service program aims to provide skills and creativity, as well as support women's economic empowerment in Rata Ara village. The activity was carried out for four days involving 28 participants from the women's community in Rata Ara village. The Community Service team is a KKN group of the Islamic State Institute of Takengon. The method used is Direct Instruction. The service activities went well, were effective, and provided skills and creativity to support women's economic empowerment in Rata Ara village. This activity produces products in the form of scrunchies that are packaged economically and then marketed offline and online.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) berupa workshop pendampingan untuk guru matematika dalam pengolahan dan menganalisis data dengan menggunakan software SPSS, bertujuan: 1) sebagai wadah berbagi pengetahuan kepada para guru dalam pengolahan dan menganalisis data nilai siswa maupun data penelitian; 2) meningkatkan kecakapan dan pengetahuan guru tentang pentingnya pengelolaan data nilai siswa maupun analisis data penelitian; 3) untuk mengembangkan kemampuan dan keterampilan guru dalam memanfaatkan data nilai siswa maupun data hasil penelitian menjadi lebih informatif dengan analisis data menggunakan software SPSS, dan 4) mengurangi jumlah guru matematika yang melakukan pengolahan dan analisis data secara intuisi dan manual di era kompetisi abad 21 saat ini. Khalayak sasaran dalam kegiatan PKM ini adalah guru-guru matematika sekolah menengah yang berada di wilayah Kabupaten Subang. Peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan ini sebanyak 60 orang guru, pelaksanaannya selama dua hari secara daring melalui media Zoom dan google classroom. Hasil yang dicapai adalah: 1) menambah pengetahuan para guru matematika dalam pengolahan dan menganalisis data; 2) meningkatnya, wawasan, kemampuan, dan keterampilan guru dalam memanfaatkan data menjadi lebih informatif dengan pengolahan dan analisis data yang tepat; dan (3) para guru lebih antusias dapat mengaplikasikan software SPSS dalam pengolahan data instrumen tes maupun data hasil penelitian.

Abstract

The mathematics learning process in the 2013 Curriculum is focused not only on the cognitive and psychomotor domains, but also on the affective domain. The main problem is that the mathematics teacher at the Ummul Qura Masykur Elmuhsini Foundation school has difficulty in assessing the affective domains, such as religiosity, self-confidence, curiosity, responsibility, and others. The reason is that the teacher only conducts numerical assessments based on the results of paper and pencil tests and assesses the assessment only as a formality. Therefore, the ability of teachers to develop affective domain instruments in accordance with the 2013 Curriculum in learning mathematics is an important thing that must be trained. This community service aims to make it easier for mathematics teachers at the Ummul Qura Masykur Elmuhsini Foundation school to easily develop instruments on psychomotor, cognitive and affective based on the 2013 Curriculum. The stages of this training consist of preparation, implementation, and reflection. This training was attended by 10 mathematics teachers at the Ummul Qura Masykur Elmuhsini Foundation. The results of community service showed that the training was carried out well. The participants seemed excited and enthusiastic to ask questions during the training. Furthermore, the material taught in the training can be understood well by the participants.

Abstract

Sophisticated technology makes many people make innovations, especially in the field of education. The application of information technology to support the educational process has become a necessity for educational institutions in Indonesia. Utilization of information technology is very much needed to increase efficiency and productivity for education management. The application of technology in the field of education that is currently still being developed is the Learning Management System (LMS). LMS or better known as Learning Management System is a software for administration, documentation, activity reports, teaching and learning activities and online activities (connected to the internet), E-learning and training materials. One of the LMS that is open source and has the most users worldwide is the Moodle LMS (Modular Object Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment).

Abstract

Training is a programmed activity that can help teachers learn knowledge or skills. By learning new knowledge and skills, the work of teachers in their respective roles in the workplace will increase. One of the trainings that can be done is training and mentoring to develop teaching modules. The preparation of teaching modules must be able to answer and solve problems or difficulties in learning. There are a number of learning materials that are often difficult for students to understand or teachers find it difficult to convey. These difficulties can occur because the material is abstract, complicated, foreign, and so on. To overcome this difficulty, it is necessary to develop appropriate teaching modules. The driving school program is an effort to realize the vision of Indonesian education in realizing an advanced Indonesia that is sovereign, independent, and has personality through the creation of Pancasila Students. To realize this, it must be supported by human resources, in this case the teacher as an educator. Through training and mentoring of the POE2WE Model-Based Teaching Module for Motivating School Teachers, it is hoped that teacher competence will increase and the vision of Indonesian education can be realized.

Abstract

Children with special needs (Heward) or ABK are children with special characteristics that are different from children in general without always showing mental, emotional or physical disabilities, which are included in ABK, including: blind, deaf, mentally retarded, quadriplegic, hearing impaired, learning difficulties, behavioral disorders, gifted children, children with health problems. Life skills have many definitions and are often misinterpreted, only limited to the skills of producing something, for example, handicrafts, weaving and so on. The purpose of this service is to increase the level of relevance between education and real life, so that after graduating or graduating from a special school or special school, children with special needs are expected to be more independent. The method used in this service is by way of lectures, demonstrations, questions and answers and training on the implementation of Life Skills life skills education for children with special needs, namely by delivering material, educational games, and motor games. The result of this service is that children with special needs become more enthusiastic about participating in activities because the activities are not monotonous and not boring. Children with special needs also show proficiency in every activity they carry out. Children become more capable of forming good life skills.

Abstract

Teachers of Muhmmadiyah Mlati High School experience obstacles in making interactive student worksheets and can do a quick assessment of student learning outcomes. An interactive e-worksheet is an electronic worksheet that can be used by students to learn interactively. This service aims to help teachers make e-worksheet-based LKPD so that it can interactively improve learning outcomes. The method used is community-based research. Based on the training results, there was a positive response with all teachers able to use e-worksheets during training according to the material taught.

Abstract

This Community Service Program is a collaborative service program carried out by several Study Programs, including Economic Education Study Program, PPKN Study Program, English Language Education Study Program, and Physical Education. which carries the theme of building Synergy Between the Academic Community and Kampung Jongok Bathin Village Apparatuses in Preparing the Young Generation to Face the Digital Era 5.0, in collaboration with Kampung Jongok Bathin Village apparatus. In this Community Service Program, the material for preparing young people to face the Digital 5.0 era is expected to be able to provide education to the people of Kampung Jongok Bathin about the meaning, types, dangers, how to protect and manage them. It is also hoped that through this material the public / Internet users will know what personal information can be left on the internet when surfing the web and using social media. And users also need to know that personal information that is left scattered on the internet can make them open to all kinds of threats, from identity theft to physical harassment. The purpose of the presentation of the material in this Collaborative Program between Study Programs is to educate so that people can be smarter and users are asked to be wise in interacting on the internet. The community or internet users must be equipped with knowledge to realize that all activities on the internet are recorded and the data is spread to various parties. For this reason, it is very important for users to take various preventive measures, especially related to data privacy and security. The method of implementing this service program is carried out in several stages of implementation as follows: Compiling service protocols, initial survey of locations and target issues, meetings with the Village Head and Village officials, Dissemination of the material presented. In the presentation of counseling material using the lecture method and using power point slide media. The conclusion of this community service is that with the socialization and training that is delivered, it can increase the knowledge and understanding of the community, especially digital footprints (Digital footprint) and the community can be more self-aware in exploring the internet.

Abstract

This service aims to provide training to teachers, especially teachers at MAN 2 Sinjai in utilizing the Quizalize application learning media. This is motivated by the rapid development of technology, so that teachers are required to utilize learning media in conveying subject matter. Based on the facts in the field, teachers have less interest and ability to utilize technology-based learning media. Therefore, this training focuses on the use of learning media that are attractive to teachers and can be used to deliver innovative learning materials. The method used in this training is a presentation method related to the use of the Quizalize application and dialogic discussions with the teacher. The material presented in this training included an introduction to Quizalize features as an interactive learning medium, and the steps for creating a teacher account in this application. After this activity was carried out, the results were obtained, namely, increasing teacher understanding, competence, and creativity in utilizing technology-based learning media.

Abstract

Vaccination is the process of giving vaccines by injection or dripping into the mouth to increase the production of antibodies to ward off certain diseases. Vaccination for Covid-19 is one way to prevent transmission of Covid-19. Lack of outreach and education will program Covid-19 to be one of the factors causing people to be afraid of being vaccinated. Community service activities aim to provide education and outreach about the importance of stopping Covid-19. In addition, it also has a specific purpose for a disease so that if one day we are exposed to the disease, the antibodies in our body will prevent or reduce the risk of getting sick. Lack of attention to health protocols and understanding of vaccines makes residents of Waralohi, Kab. West Seram considers this COVID-19 as an ordinary outbreak. Therefore, education about vaccines was held in Waralohi Hamlet, Kab. West Seram. This education was chosen because it can provide knowledge, especially about vaccines. Like things to do before and after vaccination. This activity can be written as one of our concerns for the residents of Waralohi Kab. West Seram during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
