Abstract

This research aimed at describing teachers' needs in developing distance learning material from the aspect of physical forms, teaching material delivery, and obstacles faced by teachers. Through a survey of 115 special education teachers in Yogyakarta, The data were obtained through an open questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive quantitative approach. The result shows that alternative teaching materials needed were in the form of printed, audio, and electronic modules. Modules contained daily life activities is aimed to increase the independence of the students. The scope that is needed is an understanding of the concept in the cognitive aspect. Teachers need modules that can be studied independently by students with special needs. The presentation of the material that is most needed is in the form of videos and animated images as aids to make it easier to understand the material. Module display is considered to have more varied and striking color combinations. The obstacles experienced by the teachers were due to the difficulty of identifying the various abilities of the students.

Abstract

This study aimed at identifying the need of android-based game learning media as an elementary thematic learning medium. This is qualitative research with an R D (Research and Development) approach. The the ADDIE model was also used at the analysis stage. The samples of the study were 3 teachers and 37 students of 6th grade in Wonogiri elementary school. The sample was chosen using purposive sampling method. The data collection techniques were carried out using questionnaires and semi structured interviews. The data then analyzed using percentage system and then narrated descriptively. The results of this study show that there is a need for android-based game-based learning development as an elementary thematic learning medium, especially 6th grade students. Some development also needs to be done to be customizable to particular criteria and specifications. The development of game-based learning media with various applications and multimedia will be able to produce learning innovations, which ultimately realize a quality learning process in the classroom, so that learning goals can be achieved.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze e students’ psychological factor, namely self-efficacy, learning motivation and learning environments on the results of online physical education learning during Covid-19 at Senior High School in Padang, West Sumatera. This study used a quantitative method using a path analysis approach, with structural equations to find out the causality of the dimensions of self-efficacy, motivation, directly on learning outcomes of physical education, or indirectly through the learning environment. The data collection was carried out using a survey technique to 160 high school students in Padang and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results show that the power of direct influence the self-efficacy and learning motivation and significantly effect their online learning through the learning environment. It also has an impact on learning outcomes. When the teaching and learning process must be carried out through an online system, it is necessary to make improvements to various models and learning designs, so that the learning process is avoided from negative influences that can reduce student learning outcomes

The whole sample was divided into two groups based on their gender. The instrument used in this study was a science process skill observation sheet. The data were then analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results obtained by the science process skills of the students are in the good category based on basic and integrated science process skills. The value is greater than 50% on each indicator. There is no significant differences between the science process skills of male and female students.

Abstract

This study aims to predict the entrepreneurial readiness of managers based on entrepreneurial motivation and mindset in entrepreneurship.  This is necessary because the ratification of universities that previously had the status of PTN-BLU to become PTN-BH demands financial independence, with one of the sources of income being from the business unit sector.  This research was carried out at Yogyakarta State University as a newly authorized PTN-BH with business unit managers as the population.  The Issac and Michel sampling method determined the sample to be 55 people at random. Using a pragmatic paradigm with quantitative design. The technique used is multiple regression using PLS. The results showed that  Entrepreneurial Mindset affects Entrepreneurial Readiness with a t-statistical value of 3,090 with significance levels of 0.002 (proven hypothesis).  Entrepreneurial Motivation affects Entrepreneurial Readiness for a t-statistical value of 4,044 and a significance level of 0.000 (this hypothesis is confirmed). Every university that has just been legalized as a PTN-BH must pay attention to the motivation and mindset of its business unit managers, especially business unit managers, generally university staff, who are given additional tasks.

Abstract

Digital literacy requires school resilience. The purpose of this study is to describe the profile of school resilience and strategies for strengthening school resilience in order to strengthen digital literacy. The method used in this study is a descriptive method that combines quantitative and qualitative (mix method). The research was conducted at SMN N 1 Mungkid involving 40 teachers and 100 students with a multistage random sampling model. The sampling technique in this study was determined using the Lameshow formula, with a total sample of 140 people. Data collection techniques were also carried out using a questionnaire technique through online media (google form) and documentation. The analytical technique used is descriptive with the Excel program using a categorization method based on percentage calculations. The results showed that the overall resilience of Mungkid Junior High School in facing the digital literacy era according to teachers and students was at the lower score, which is in the category of positive resilience building scale (teachers: 31%; Students: 40%). The strategy for strengthening school resilience in the digital literacy era are (1) adapting to situations and conditions, (2) school intervention in overcoming environmental risks and transitions, (3) identifying factors that can help schools overcome crises, (4) skills mapping to identify training needs, (5) identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the education system, and (6) documenting the learning gained by taking into account the availability of school human resources (HR), continuous professional development, communication, network support, adaptation and knowledge-based development.

Abstract

Abstract: Project-based learning has been found to bring many benefits to learning. However, there have not been many studies that voice the challenges of using project-based learning in an online class. This study investigated the benefits and challenges of online project-based learning (PBL) according to students' and the lecturer’s perceptions. Using a qualitative case study design, the data were collected by distributing an open-ended questionnaire in Google forms to 45 students who joined the exchange students program of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka curriculum and doing a semi-structured interview with the lecturer. The exchange students took an Organizational Culture class at Universitas Jambi. This study found 17 benefits of using project-based learning in an online class, as well as 6 challenges that the students and the lecturers encountered during the class. This study suggested further instructors consider peer assessments, group reports, and additional consultation sessions to be included in online project-based learning classes.

Descriptive statistics used as the data analytical technique to describe the senior high students' perspective towards self-determined learning to promote the freedom learning implementation. The results showed that freedom learning fundamental points have similar points with self-determined learning principles consisting of heutagogy and autonomous learning skills. The main conclusion concludes that the students' perspective toward self-determined learning could promote freedom learning implementation. The study's recommendations are be expanded the cluster sampling and be emerged the survey in the case during and after the Covid-19 pandemic the that is indirectly fostering the students' heutagogy and autonomous skill by emphasizing self-determined learning.
