Abstract

The focus of this study is to describe the organization atmosphere of school institutions after an organization-development program adopting school-based management approach. This qualitative study involved three elementary schools, utilizing multi-site design and constant-comparative method. The data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, documentation. The results of descriptive analyses show that the program offered positive effects on building up the institution culture. The headmasters played important roles in norm and value enforcement. The teachers became committed to the best achievement and sense of belonging. The spirit of togetherness thus developed well at the schools.

Abstract

Application of the learning process in a campus using the conventional method of the longer lead the learning process is not effective. This raises problems in the campus environment how to create an interactive learning atmosphere so that it does not cause boredom towards students. The concept of E-Learning is a technology that can provide solutions to learning problems. The use of E-Learning can be accessed by utilizing internet technology through computers. The method discussed in thisconcept E-Learning consists of distance learning and blended learning. Distance learning is a model of distance learning where distance and time are not a problem in its operation, while blended learning is a learning model that combines conventional learning techniques with the use of technology for the distribution of learning such as the web.Keywords : analysis, e-learning, conventional, distance learning, blended learning

Abstract

Sejak ditemukannya kasus positif COVID-19 di Indonesia dan pencanangan COVID-19 sebagai pandemi oleh Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia, pemerintah Indonesia telah mengambil langkah-langkah untuk mengurangi risiko penyebaran virus dengan menerapkan pembatasan jarak fisik. Sesuai dengan imbauan Mendikbud, proses pembelajaran harus dilanjutkan melalui pembelajaran online dengan memanfaatkan teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kinerja guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran online, kendala yang dihadapi dan solusi yang diambil untuk mengatasinya. Peneliti ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru SDN 06 Balai-Balai. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kinerja guru baik, namun masih terdapat kendala, baik dari sisi guru maupun siswanya. Untuk mengatasi hambatan dalam pembelajaran online, guru memberikan bimbingan dalam kelompok kecil siswa di dalam kelas.

Abstract

Suku bangsa Minangkabau dalam hukum adat mengenal dua macam harta yang diwariskan yaitu harta pusako tinggi, harta yang diwariskan dari mamak ke kemenakan sedangkan harta pusako randah pewarisan dari orang tua yang merupakan hasil matapencaharianya. Namun yang terjadi di Nagari Ladang Panjang bentuk warisan hukum adat tidak sesuai dengan hukum adat ulayat yang berlaku. Maka dari itu tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk pergeseran hukum waris adat dan menjelaskan factor-faktor terjadinya pergeseran hukum waris adat di Nagari Ladang Panjang, Kecamatan Tigo Nagari, Kabupaten Pasaman Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini mengunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan tipe penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pemilihan informan dilakukan dengan cara purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara mendalam dan studi dokumen. Analisis data yang digunakan data interaktif dari Miles Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk pergeseran hukum waris adat di Nagari Ladang Panjang yaitu ganggam bauntuak, pamulang jariah payah, pagang-gadai dan jual beli. Factor-faktor pergeseran hukum waris adat di Nagari Ladang Panjang yang ditemukan di Nagari Ladang Panjang adalah diakibatkan oleh program Badan Pertanahan Nasional (BPN) yaitu prona (sertifikasi gratis). Kedua, ketidakpahaman masyarakat terhadap hukum adat pewarisan di Minangkabau. Ketiga Pemerintahan Nagari dan lembaga Kerapatan Adat Nagari (KAN) tidak menjalankan fungsinya dengan baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji  kebijakan e-Learning di Universitas Negeri Padang, ditinjau dari Kualitas informasi e-learning yang digunakan dan bagaimana dampaknya terhadap  motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif, Sampel berjumlah sebanyak 80 orang yang berasal dari 6 Fakultas. Data dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner, dan diolah dengan menggunakan statistic SEM-PLS. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa  (1) Kualitas Informasi elearning memiliki pengaruh dan hubungan positif terhadap penggunaan e-learning oleh mahasiswa(2) Penggunaan e-laerning memiliki pengaruh dan hubungan positif terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa, (3) Kualitas informasi elearning memiliki pengaruh dan hubungan yang negatif terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini diharapkan bisa menjadi bahan pertimbangan oleh pengambil kebijakan di Universitas Negeri padang dalam memaksimalkan penggunaan e-learning oleh mahasiswa sehingga bisa berdampak positif terhadap motivasi mahasiswa dalam belajar. Kata kunci  :   Kualitas Informasi, Penggunaan E-Learning, Motivasi Belajar, SEM-PLS

Abstract

Pendidikan dasar merupakan bagian penting dalam jenjang sistem pendidikan. Melalui pendidikan dasar peserta didik dibekali konsep ilmu pengetahuan, penanaman moral, pembentukan karakter dan pengetahuan dasar lainnya yang dibutuhkan dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Penulisan artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji perbandingan sistem pendidikan dasar negara Indonesia dengan negara Amerika Serikat. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan berupa studi kepustakaan dengan menelaah beberapa kajian penelitian terdahulu serta dengan menganalisis video pembelajaran di setiap negara yang dilihat melalui youtube. Analisis data menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil yang diperoleh bahwa terdapat perbedaan dalam kebijakan pendidikan dasar di Negara Indonesia dan Negara Amerika Serikat. Perbedaan tersebut dapat ditinjau dari sistem dan struktur kurikulum yang digunakan. Namun demikian, baik negara Indonesia maupun negara Amerika Serikat telah berupaya menerapkan sistem pendidikan dasar terbaik sesuai dengan kemampuan negaranya masing-masing.

Abstract

Based on preliminary observation and research finding in MAN in Tanah Datar, it was found that madrasah which have a good accreditation still have problems concerning with aspects of school management. The purposes of this research were to analyze teachers’ perception toward managerial competence of the madrasah principals in the aspects of the madrasah activities planning, organizing, leadership, actuating, and controlling. The methodology used in this research was mixed method by using the concurrent embedded model. Quantitative data was gotten from teachers of MAN in Tanah Datar while for the qualitative data was gotten from the school principals, vice school principals as well as teachers. Based on the research finding, it was found that in the madrasah activities planning was 82.11%; activities organizing was 79.50%; activities leading was 79.92%; activities actuating was 78.53%; and activities controlling was 81 %. In general, the competence of the madrasah principals of MAN in Tanah Datar was good in all aspect.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the distribution and the implementation of school policies in maintaining school culture for students during the COVID-19 pandemic in private schools in Duri. During the Pandemic Covid 19, it was a terrible situation in teaching and learning implementation process for students, especially in terms of maintaining an effective school culture such as the 5S culture, worship on time, learning discipline, and carrying out 10 student competencies according to JSIT standards, and also providing excellent services to students. The research method was qualitative with interviewing the principal, student representatives, and the student's parents represented by the school committee and document analysis was used in this research. The research data were analyzed with descriptively by describing and explaining the data from the interview findings of the principal, student representatives, teachers and parents of students, policy documents as well as photos and learning media. The finding revealed that the school policiesimplemented in maintaining school culture for students were not optimal even though all students responded to programs that had been compiled and socialized by the school.Teachers of a foundation implemented character-based learning to maintain School Culture that reflects the existence of an applied school culture such as the 5 S, study of the Koran delivered by the teacher at the beginning of learning, and monitoring sheets provided by student representatives who will be responded to by the students' parents then reported to the homeroom teacher every month. In the process of socializing the policy from the principal, it has been going well where the school has conducted outreach to vice principals, teachers and provided a school culture training system to students online and to teachers and explains learning information to parents. However, due to network limitations and network disruption, it becomes an obstacle in the implementation of monitoring school culture. In this case the teacher composed a monitoring questionnaire manual report material and distributes it to the parents of students. Although the student did not get involveda 100% due to several factors such as network disruption, for those parents who works and parents who do not have facilities in the form of an internet package or do not have an Android cellphone, the process of monitoring school culture continues with the help of manual media provided to parents students. It can be concluded that the dissemination of learning policies during the outbreak has been running from the top-down (Top-Down) socialization process, but implementation needs to be improved in terms of service and the school culture evaluation process can be maintained.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the effects of: 1) principal leadership on teacher performance, 2) quality assurance on teacher performance and 3) principal leadership and quality assurance simultaneously on the performance of public elementary school teachers in Padangsidimpuan Hutaimbaru District. This type of research is quantitative using the ex post facto method. The sample used the Slovin formula as many as 101 of the 136 teachers who taught at SD Negeri in Padangsidimpuan Hutaimbaru District. Data obtained through questionnaires and documentation, then analyzed using correlational and regression techniques both simple and multiple. Hypothesis testing is done by using Product Moment correlation and multiple correlation, which previously tested for normality and homogeneity. The results of the study are as follows: 1) there is a positive influence between principal leadership on teacher performance, meaning that the better the teacher's perception of the principal's leadership, the better the performance, 2) there is a positive influence between quality assurance on teacher performance, it contains meaning that the better the teacher's perception of quality assurance, the better the performance, 3) there is a positive and significant influence between principal leadership and quality assurance on teacher performance, meaning that the better the teacher's perception of the principal's leadership and quality assurance, the better good performance too. Suggestions are conveyed from the results of this study, especially to teachers in order to improve and create good teacher performance. Meanwhile, the principal should exercise leadership well using a kinship approach in order to create the desired quality assurance.

Abstract

The environment has a strategic role in the world of education, especially in the learning process. With the environment, human beings and especially learners understand and understand about education itself. Innovation continues to be developed along with the times. With this environment will change the thinking patterns and behavior of students. The purpose of this research is to find out how the role of the environment in improving the quality of education. The method used is qualitative, descriptive approach. The results found that the environment plays a very important role in improving educators.
