Abstract

The development of the world of information technology has an impact on the moral condition of the millennial generation. Millennials are individuals who are in the age range of 18-25 years. The ease of accessing technological devices ultimately causes a sense of caring and tolerance among individuals to decrease. Moral is a collection of care, tolerance and responsibility that supports individuals to be able to adapt to various conditions of change that occur. Moral is one of the targets of Islamic guidance and counseling services in the personal and social fields, as well as the main component of character building for the millennial generation. This study aims to provide an analysis of the problematic condition of moral aspects experienced by the millennial generation in the perspective of Islamic guidance and counseling. This study uses a descriptive approach with a literature study method. The data of this study used articles from research results in the last two years. The results of the literature review show that the moral problems experienced by the millennial generation can becaused by internal and external factors. Keywords: morals, millennial generation, islamic guidance and counseling.

Abstract

The background of this research is the occurrence of cheating behavior by students, when carrying out exams on average in each class there are 5-15 students who cheat, and during the midterm exam implementation there are 65% -80% of students cheating. The supervising teacher is one of the educators who plays a role in tackling students' cheating behavior at school. This study aims to describe the role of the supervising teacher in overcoming student cheating behavior, namely with regard to: (1) the role of the supervising teacher in preventing the occurrence of cheating behavior in students, (2) the role of the supervising teacher in alleviating cheating behavior in students. This research is classified as a quantitative descriptive research, namely describing a certain situation or situation as it is. The population in this study were supervising teachers at State Junior High Schools in Padang City. Sampling used the Cluster Sampling method, which consisted of 20 supervising teachers. The data collection tool used was a questionnaire and the data were analyzed using percentage techniques. Based on this research, it is suggested: (1) supervising teachers, in order to further improve the services that will be provided to students so that students do not have cheating behavior, (2) subject teachers, it is expected that teachers pay more attention to student learning processes and work together with supervising teachers to overcome behavior cheating students, and (3) it is expected that other researchers will continue research on the collaboration of supervising teachers with school personnel to overcome student cheating behavior. Keywords: The role of guidance counseling teachers, cheating behavior.

Abstract

This research is motivated by students who exhibit fanaticism behavior towards their idol figure. The purpose of the research is to describe: 1) the fanaticism behavior towards the idol figure of the students before receiving behavioral counseling services using self-management techniques. 2) the fanaticism behavior towards the idol figure of the students after receiving behavioral counseling services using self-management techniques. 3) the effectiveness of the behavioral counseling model using self-management techniques to minimize the fanaticism behavior towards the idol figure of the students.the type of this research is experimental research method. Population of this research is 3 students. Sampling of thes research is using purposive sampling technique.the results of the study reveal that: 1) the fanaticism behavior towards the idol figure of the students before receiving behavioral counseling services using self-management techniques is categorized as high, with a percentage of 33.33% in the high criteria and 66.67% in the very high criteria. 2) the fanaticism behavior towards the idol figure of the students after receiving behavioral counseling services using self-management techniques is categorized as very low, with a percentage of 33.33% in the very low criteria and 66.67% in the low criteria. 3) there is an effectiveness of implementing behavioral counseling services using self-management techniques to minimize the fanaticism behavior towards the idol figure of the students. Keywords: Behavioral Counseling, Self Management Techniques, Fanaticism, Idol Figures.

Abstract

The success of implementing guidance and counseling in schools is highly dependent on the collaboration carried out by the guidance and counseling teacher or counselor and the assistance and support of all parties in the school, such as subject teachers, homeroom teachers, education staff, vice principals, and heads of school administrators. and school manager. As a leader and manager, school principals are required to be able to carry out their roles, responsibilities and functions, especially in carrying out guidance and counseling in schools properly so that the implementation of guidance and counseling can be carried out optimally. In other words, the good or bad quality of all service programs in schools and the counselor's image depend on how the leader or manager plays his role appropriately. The method used in this research is the library research method (literary research). Abstract

Adjustment is a global problem faced by almost all college freshmen in the world. Modules are one of the psychological assistance interventions that can help freshmen to improve the adaptation process. Kampus merdeka is a higher education policy program implemented by each university. The purpose of the study is to provide a narrative of the guidance and counseling module with an independent learning perspective in improving the self-adjustment of freshmen that meets the content and methodological requirements and describes the level of application by counselors in the guidance and counseling service unit of higher education. The research method used Research and Development model Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE). The research was conducted by testing the development product in the form of a module with Focus Group Discussion. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The development results show that the guidance and counseling module with an independent campus insight to improve the self-adjustment of freshmen is considered accommodating and effective to be applied to freshmen by counselors at the college level. Based on these findings, the prototype of the guidance and counseling module with an independent campus insight to improve the self-adjustment of freshmen can be used by counselors to help freshmen improve their adjustment in college. Keywords: Guidance & Counseling Module, Kampus Merdeka, Adjustment, Freshmen

Abstract

Academic burnout is a condition that should be avoided to prevent it from impeding students' academic achievement. This study aims to investigate the direct effects of perfectionism and academic stress on academic burnout and the role of academic stress as a mediator between perfectionism and academic burnout. One hundred Kartu Indonesia Pintar scholarship recipients (KIP-K) for the 2021 academic year voluntarily completed a questionnaire. The selection of respondents was based on the indication that KIP-K scholarship recipients were experiencing burnout due to high academic demands. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling was used for the analysis. The study's results showed a significant direct effect of perfectionism and academic stress on academic burnout. The results of indirect effect testing also revealed that academic stress provides a significant mediating effect between these relationships. These results show the importance of counseling services for students, particularly KIP-K scholarship recipients. In addition, it is necessary to evaluate flagship programs given to students to make them more suitable for their psychological abilities and conditions. Keywords: Perfectionism, Academic Stress, Academic Burnout

Abstract

Self identity is awareness and continuity in knowing oneself, accepting personality, roles, commitments, orientations, life goals in the individual so that they are able to behave according to their own needs and also in society. Self-identity can be found if a student has successfully passed a crisis of self-identity and has been able to adjust the handling in dealing with a crisis of self identity. The self-identity of students at Kepahing 6 Public High School is still experiencing an identity crisis due to a lack of students' understanding of self-identity but for the implementation of Guidance and Counseling services in helping students find self-identity has been provided by the Guidance and Counseling teacher. This is what makes it gradually able to pass through the student's identity crisis. With this researcher wants to deepen research regarding the implementation of Guidance and Counseling in helping students find self identity. The method in this study uses a qualitative approach. As for the subjects of this study were students who had not found their identity, Guidance and Counseling teachers, homeroom teachers and student representatives. The subject approach of this study used purposive sampling. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the self identity of the students of Kepahiang 6 Public High School who had been given Guidance and Counseling in helping students find their own identity was gradually able to pass through the identity crisis as students who could know themselves, were able to accept themselves and their environment, were able to adapt. As for the implementation of Guidance and Counseling at Kepahiang 6 State Senior High School in accordance with the planning of the Guidance and Counseling program and the implementation of Guidance and Counseling teacher providing direct services, the guidance media provided are posters placed in the Guidance and Counseling room and in schools and Guidance and Counseling teachers Counseling also conducts home visits after carrying out evaluations and follow-up on the implementation of Guidance and Counseling services in accordance with the Guidance and Counseling POP of 2016, as for the Guidance and Counseling teachers' efforts to help students find self-identity by providing information services, group guidance services and individual counseling. Keywords: identity crisis, students, guidance and counseling

Abstract

Self-adjustment is needed for students, including at Sekolah Mengengah Pertama (SMP) Negeri 1 Baturetno, Wonogiri. Emotional intelligence is suspected to have a positive effect on students' self-adjustment. This research aimed to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and adjustment and to review emotional intelligence and adjustment based on gender. This research tested three hypotheses. H1: There is a positive relationship between emotional intelligence and adjustment. H2: There are differences in emotional intelligence in terms of gender. H3: There are differences in adjustment in terms of gender. The total population was 256 students in grade 8. Based on the simple random sampling technique, 161 students were involved. The measurements used the Emotional Intelligence Scale (11 items, α = 0.860) and the Self-Adjustment Scale (14 items, α = 0.844). The results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between emotional intelligence and self-adjustment. Statistical analysis showed a correlation coefficient of 0.836 with a significance of 0.000 (p<0.05). Emotional intelligence makes an effective contribution of 68.8% to adjustment maturity. The study also found that in terms of gender, there were differences in emotional intelligence (male = 34.43, female = 36.68, p = 0.000) and differences in adjustment (male = 45.12, female = 47.75, p = 0.001). This research has implications for the urgency of optimizing emotional intelligence to cloud students' self-adjustment for schools and the state education department. Keywords: emotional intelligence; junior high school; self-adjustment; student

Abstract

Guidance and counseling supervision aims to provide self-development facilities, and school counselor skills to improve counselor competence and increase responsibility in counseling and create guidance service programs. Found that the purpose of a school supervisor for guidance and counseling can use several approaches including conducting assessments, prevention, motivation, and providing reinforcement to find out the benefits of the program and the implementation of guidance and counseling in schools that have been achieved. and knowing progress and weaknesses, as well as having preventive steps to avoid deviations because prevention is better than repair. The research method is literature study, collecting data by finding sources and constructing them from various sources such as books, journals, and existing research. The results and discussion of the results of the research conducted at the school is that the school principal and the school superintendent are functional officials who serve as technical implementers to supervise the education of certain designated or designated schools.

Abstract

The background of this research is that there are students who have not been able to control themselves, students still violate school rules, students have not been able to master their own emotions and understand the emotions of others, resulting in fights/fights such as making fun of each other, berating each other, yelling, insulting and hitting, students who grumble at the teacher during lerning and when there are students who make mistakes, students like to kick chairs and tables during learning, students like to scribble on their hands, walls, tables, chairs and absence. Large aggressive behavior can also allow for a relationship between self-esteem and aggressive behavior. This study aims to describe 1) self-esteem of students, 2) aggressive behavior of students, 3) the relationship between self-esteem and aggressive behavior of students. This type of research is descriptive quantitative with a correlational approach. The data collection tool used is a questionnaire with the data analysis technique used is pearson product moment. The population of this study was students in class X mechanical engineering at vocational high school 5 Padang, totaling 65 students. The sampling technique was carried out using a total sampling, namely 65 students who became the research sample. The results of the research are recommended for counseling teachers and subject teachers to provide services and materials so that students can increase self-esteem from the medium to high category. So with high student self-esteem, student aggressive behavior will be low.
