Abstract

This research was motivated by the researcher’s anxiety about the nation’s problems that seem to never end from social conflicts related to ethnicity and religion, because of the attitude of sectoral egoism and intolerance towards diversity. The people of Banuroja are very aware of the impact of risks if social conflict befalls their citizens. This can happen due to a lack of understanding in accepting diversity as a necessity. Their critical readiness has been built very strongly, where seeing diversity is not a threat to people's lives. Therefore, it is important to strengthen social integration in multicultural societies as practiced by the Banuroja community. This study aims to describe the efforts of the Banuroja multicultural community in strengthening social integration in order to avoid the threat of conflict in their communities. This research used a qualitative approach with ethnographic study methods. The results showed that strengthening social integration in the multicultural society of Banuroja was carried out through (1) Strengthening tolerance in the midst of community diversity; 2) Prevent the emergence of sectoral egoism and foster an attitude of solidarity; and 3) Strengthening the role of community leaders as unifier from the threat of social conflict.

Regional spatial planning is one of the most important parts of a city development process because regional spatial planning is an effort to determine the direction or vision of the city. The implementation of Regional Regulation No. 11 of 2011 concerning Spatial Plans for Majalengka Regency for 2011-2031 is no longer in line with the initial goal of realizing Majalengka Regency as a productive, competitive and sustainable agribusiness, tourism and industrial area. Therefore, researchers conducted research by examining the implementation of Regional Regulation No. 11 of 2011 concerning Spatial Planning for the Majalengka Regency Region for 2011-2031 which regulates spatial planning for the Majalengka district area. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method and data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results obtained from the research are that the implementation of this Regional Regulation is not carried out properly because it is no longer appropriate and needs to be revised. Overall, this review provides a reference point regarding the application of regional regulations for further research by identifying the implications of these regulations which can be seen from the aspect of community participation in showing their enthusiasm for the issuance of these regional regulations.

Abstract

Social Media as a new forum for users to exchange information. Social media provides facilities that are easy and fast for its users. This has become an opportunity for radical groups to instill radicalism with free discourse patterns, but it has moved towards religious and political dynamics today. Uncontrolled social media in sharing information that is not necessarily valid in its distribution will increasingly have an impact on the spread of radicalism discourse texts. This research is proposed to see the series of words and sentences used in the radicalism discourse text. This research can be useful for the government to regulate social media in terms of policy regulation. The text of radicalism discourse that exists in social media can be dissected using Teun A Van Djik's analysis model which divides it into three structures, first the macro structure, the superstructure and the micro structure. This analysis model will also reveal the ideology that underlies a text. The purpose of this study is to determine the macro structure, superstructure and micro structure in the text of radicalism discourse. The benefits gained are being able to provide knowledge about radicalism on Facebook social media, providing encouragement to prevent radicalism efforts and images to the government in formulating policies to use social media as a preventive measure and re-establishing de-radicalization activities.
