Abstract

This research is related to the utilization of the “Bocah Pejuang” tv show of trans tv in the social studies learning to improve students' social intelligence which aims to explain how the planning, implementation, improvement and the constraints and solutions that arise in social studies learning. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research using Kemmis and Taggart model. Data collection was conducted in class VIII A 44 Bandung Junior High School by using the method of observation and interview. The theory used is the theory of social intelligence from Suyono (2007). The results showed that the utilization of the  “Bocah Pejuang” tv show can be used as an alternative to improve students' social intelligence. Planning should be done before the lesson by preparing learning pimplementation plan, model, method, and instructional media by using the “bocah pejuang” show; implementation of learning according to the planning that has been done; an increasing and significant indicator of social intelligence seen in improved discipline, empathy ability, and communication skills; as well as constraints and solutions encountered in broad outline that is the lack of experience of teachers in utilizing television shows to be a medium of learning so that difficulty in determining the appropriate impressions and in accordance with the purpose of learning. This study recommends that teachers and the school can utilize the media and learning resources close to the lives of students, especially impressions that have positive values in order to improve the competence of other students

Abstract

Theoretically the adolescent psychological development is a transition period which is marked by changes in biological, psychological and social aspects. Empirically, the increasing trend of juvenile delinquency is caused by the inability of the early adolescents to be assertive so that their personality become weak and they can easily fall into negative things. This study aimed at determining the extent to which environment and mass media have the influence on assertive behaviour and juvenile delinquency trend in Junior High School in West Java Province. The respondents of this research were 458 students of Junior High Schools in West Java. Questionnaire was used to collect the data. Samples were chosen by using stratified random sampling technique. Data analysis employed Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with two-stages testing: measurement model and structural model, using Analysis of Moment Structure (AMOS). The results of this study revealed that all hypothetical statements have significant effects. The findings showed that the increasing level of students’ assertive behaviour can decrease the tendency of juvenile delinquency in them. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan muatan kajian gender pada buku teks Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan di Perguruan Tinggi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analisis konten dengan pendekatan kualitatif melalui tahap, yaitu pengadaan data, reduksi data, inferensi, dan analisis data. Sumber data penelitian adalah buku teks Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan yang dikeluarkan oleh Direktorat Jenderal Pembelajaran dan Kemahasiswaan Kemenristekdikti tahun 2016. Unit analisis adalah muatan kajian gender yang terkadung pada BAB yang berhubungan dan berkaitan dengan kajian gender dalam buku tersebut. Hasil penelitian yaitu: (1) Penyusunan buku teks dilihat dari parity gender dapat dikatakan disparity gender karena hanya terdapat tiga orang perempuan dari 12 orang penyusun buku teks. (2) Terdapat pembahasan tidak responsif gender dengan tidak mencantumkan organisasi perempuan dalam pergerakan nasional. (3) Ditemukan beberapa ilustrasi gambar yang bias gender dan mengakibatkan perspektif yang salah tentang gender stereotypes dan gender roles. (4) Masih absennya kajian muatan gender dalam buku teks Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan di Perguruan tinggi yang semestinya hadir bila dilihat sebagai ilmu yang bersifat multifaced.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai budaya tradisi Dieng Culture Festival yang berperan sebagai kearifan lokal dalam upaya untuk membangun karakter bangsa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) persepsi masyarakat terhadap transformasi nilai budaya tradisi Dieng Culture Festival secara turun-temurun tanpa mengubah makna sebenarnya; (2) adanya relevansi antara kearifan lokal terhadap pembangunan karakter bangsa karena nilai kearifan lokal bukan sebagai hal yang menghambat pada era globalisasi, melainkan menjadi kekuatan besar dalam membangun karakter bangsa. Cultural Value of “Dieng Culture Festival” Tradition as a Local Wisdom for Building the Nation Character: Case Study at Dieng Plateau. This study aims to know the value of cultural tradition of Dieng Culture Festival which serves as the local wisdom in an effort to build the national character. The research is qualitative with the case study method. The data collection techniques used by researchers include: observation, interviews and documentation. The analysis technique used in this study include: triangulation of sources and triangulation techniques. The results show that: (1) the perception of community about transformation of Dieng Culture Festival without changing the actual meaning; (2) the relevance of local wisdom with the character of the nation.

Abstract

Pemahaman Guru Mengenai Implementasi Pendekatan Saintifik dalam Mata Pelajaran PPKn. Penelitian ini membahas tentang pemahaman yang dimiliki oleh guru mengenai implementasi pendekatan saintifik dalam mata pelajaran PPKn pada  SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Bangka. Pemahaman tersebut dilihat dari beberapa aspek yaitu perbedaan pendekatan pembelajaran dalam Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (KTSP) dengan pendekatan dalam kurikulum 2013, pengertian pendekatan saintifik, tujuan pembelajaran pendekatan saintifik, prinsip-prinsip pembelajaran pendekatan saintifik, langkah-langkah pendekatan saintifik, model-model pembelajaran dalam pendekatan saintifik, dan pentingnya pendekatan saintifik dalam mata pelajaran PPKn. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data melalui teknik wawancara. Analisis data melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan hasil penelitian: pemahaman guru mengenai implementasi pendekatan saintifik dalam mata pelajaran PPKn adalah cukup, namun perlu ditingkatkan pada pemahaman pemilihan model-model pembelajaran yang tepat. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan kepada guru untuk lebih mempelajari pemilihan model pembelajaran yang tepat dalam mata pelajaran PPKn.

Abstract

At present, a number of contemporary skills become crucial for students in learning process, especially the entrepreneurship skill. This article aimed to identify the students’ learning strategy on entrepreneurial spirit through student’s cooperation (KOPMA). This study was descriptive qualitative study that involved five student’s cooperation (KOPMA) in 4 universities. This study has resulted that KOPMA has become a media in forming entrepreneurial spirit for students. Besides, the learning strategy was carried out through: 1) dividing a time-set between academic learning and cooperation (KOPMA); and 2) bravery to take any risk in cooperation (KOPMA). Abstract

Technology provides convenience in every aspect of life. In education, technology revitalizes and supports learning by breaking barriers which inhibits learning. Pre-service teachers are a key factor in future generation education, but their ability to make use of benefits technology has to offer is scarcely explored. In this qualitative study, we surveyed 480 students currently enrolled in one of Teachers Training Institutes in Indonesia and digital literacy in every undergraduate level (freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior) was evaluated. Substantial evidence was found and showed that digital literacy improves with education level. Implications for pre-service teachers’ education program are addressed.

Abstract

The industrial revolution has had a profound effect on the world of education. In addition to having a positive impact on several things, the industrial revolution also had a negative effect. The method used in this research is a case study with a qualitative approach, which will be applied in schools. The results of this study indicate: How does the Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan teacher's competence develop content, processes, media, learning resources and assessment of the learning process in the industrial revolution 4.0? After doing research, the industrial revolution provides a change in terms of learning media to learning in the classroom conducted by teachers, through the industrial revolution 4.0, teachers are increasingly motivated to develop learning activities in the classroom and also increasingly diverse learning media.
