Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to develop a local language revitalization model through a student team-based project which was implemented through sociolinguistics courses in tertiary institutions. The type of research used is Research and Development. The development model used is the ADDIE model. The local language revitalization model was validated by research respondents consisting of 3 sociolinguistic lecturers as expert validators and 30 students as user validators. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis and descriptive statistical analysis. The research findings show that there are 2 validation aspects that are in the good category, such as the completeness of learning materials and the availability of supporting learning media, while the other 3 aspects are in the very good category. Other findings show that the use of local language revitalization models through students’ team-based projects integrated with the MBKM program is proven to increase student understanding of the concept of local language revitalization and can increase students' positive language attitudes consisting of language loyalty, language pride, and language awareness

Abstract

Abstract. The  purpose  of  this  study  was  to determine the effectiveness of Tabuspiel media in learning German vocabulary for class XI MIA students of SMA Negeri 9 Makassar. The type of research was a quasi-experimental (nonequivalent control group design). This study consists of two variables, namely the independent variable and the dependent variable. The independent variable was the use of Tabuspiel media and the dependent variable was student learning outcomes, namely mastery of German vocabulary. The population of this study was 60 students of class XI MIA SMA Negeri 9 Makassar, class XI MIA 5 as the experimental class and class XI MIA 6 as the control class. The sample used is total sampling. The instruments used in this study were multiple choice questions and matching questions. Data analysis used the Independent Sample T-test which showed that the value of tcount > ttable 3,822 > 2,001717 and the value of sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05 at a significance level of 0,05. This showed that Tabuspiel media is effective in learning German vocabulary for students of class XI MIA SMA Negeri 9 Makassar.Keywords: Media, Tabuspiel, vocabulary learning, German.

Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to describe the types and functions of illocutionary speech acts in the film Amelie Rennt (an unexpected friendship). The data source of this research is the dialogue between characters in the film Amelie Rennt (an unexpected friendship) which was released in 2017 by Tobias Wiemann. This research is descriptive qualitative, data collection is done through the method of listening and noting. The validity and reliability of the data can be checked by interrater and intrarater. Data analysis using pragmatic equivalent technique. The data obtained were   then   classified   according   to   the speech act theory by Searle and Leech. The results show that 1) in the film Amelie Rennt (an unexpected friendship) there are five types of speech acts, namely directive, assertive, declarative, expressive, and commissive speech acts. 2) there are four illocutionary functions in the conversation between players in the film Amelie Rennt (an unexpected friendship), namely competitive, collaborative, conflictive and convivial.Keywords: Illocutionary Speech Acts, Film, Amelie Rennt

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk-bentuk interferensi gramatikal bahasa Indonesia dalam bahasa Mandarin siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah bentuk-bentuk interferensi gramatikal bahasa Indonesia dalam bahasa Mandarin. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah karangan narasi bahasa Mandarin dengan tema “我的 日常生活” ‘Kegiatan Sehari-hari Saya’ oleh siswa kelas IX SMP Frater Makassar. Data penelitian ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan teori analisis kontrastif oleh Robert Lado. Penelitian menunjukkan terdapat dua bentuk interferensi gramatikal bahasa Indonesia dalam bahasa Mandarin pada karangan siswa kelas IX SMP Frater Makassar yaitu interferensi struktur frasa dan interferensi pola kalimat. Interferensi struktur frasa bahasa Indonesia dalam bahasa Mandarin terjadi pada tataran frasa lokatif, frasa gabungan, dan frasa subordinatif. Sedangkan interferensi pola kalimat terjadi pada pola kalimat tunggal dan pola kalimat majemuk. Kata Kunci: Interferensi Gramatikal, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Mandarin

Abstract

Abstrak. Kegiatan ini merupakan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) yang bermitra dengan Kepala Sekolah Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) PERGIS Bonde, Kecamatan Campalagian Kabupaten POLMAN. Permasalahannya adalah selama pelaksaanaan School from Home, banyak siswa mengeluh bahwa mereka mulai jenuh belajar di rumah, siswa selalu mendapatkan banyak tugas dari guru, serta instruksi yang kurang jelas yang diberikan guru kepada siswa terkait tugas-tugas yang diberikan. Hasilnya adalah siswa mengalami stress dan hasil belajarnya jauh dari kategori memuaskan selama menjalani School from Home. Metode yang digunakan adalah adalah perecanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, refleksi dan evaluasi serta pendampingan. Hasil yang dicapai adalah: (1) Guru dapat memahami maksud dan tujuan serta jenis-jenis verbal positive reinforcement; (2) Guru mampu mengembangkan dan menerapkan berbagai jenis verbal positive reinforcement dalam pembelajaran. Kata Kunci: Verbal Positive Reinforcement, Pembelajaraan, Stres Belajar

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis implikatur percakapan dalam drama Extra Deutsch. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif.  Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah sumber data primer dan sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik simak dan catat. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis model interaksi oleh Miles dan Huberman. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa jenis-jenis implikatur percakapan yang terdapat dalam drama Extra Deutsch yaitu implikatur percakapan umum atau implikatur percakapan yang maknanya diinterpretasi tanpa konteks khusus sebanyak 10 data, implikatur percakapan berskala atau implikatur percakapan yang didasarkan pada istilah-istilah kuantitas sebanyak 13 data dan implikatur percakapan khusus atau implikatur percakapan yang maknanya diinterpretasikan berdasarkan konteks sebanyak 25 data. Data dipaparkan secara deskriptif, sehingga dapat memberikan kemudahan bagi pembaca untuk memahami maksud implikatur. Kata Kunci: Implikatur percakapan umum, Implikatur percakapan berskala, Implikatur percakapan khusus, Drama Extra Deutsch.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the diction in the news regarding the vaccination campaign Covid-19 reported on various news portals online affects the perception and psychological condition of the readers by analyse the content of the news using a qualitative approach to the method of discourse analysis and critical discourse analysis of the Teun A. Van Dijk model. The data in this study are qualitative data in the form of word selection (diction) from the news of the covid-19 vaccination campaign which is the result of discourse analysis and qualitative descriptive data from reader responses from interviews. The results of this study are that there are several outlines of topics that often appear in the news of Covid-19 vaccinations. But the most dominant is the news that emphasizes the quality and effectiveness of the vaccine. In addition, in the 2 news titles that have been analysed for diction, there is a tendency to use words that tend to be positive, such as effective, superior, drastic, prevent, reduce, protect, prove, and save lives. Furthermore, it also uses words that have scientific meaning such as research, clinical trials, and studies. Then tend to use words that sound scary like death, serious condition, serious illness, and so on. In addition, the two news reports state the effectiveness of the vaccine by using a percentage of numbers, and finally make relevant research results as a benchmark for the validity of the news as well as a reinforcement for news when it is read by readers. Based on the results of interviews from the respondents and the interpretation of the data above, it can be concluded that the diction in the news regarding the Covid-19 vaccination does not have a significant influence on the psychological condition of some readers.Keywords: Diction, Word Choice, Psychological Condition, Vaccination Campaign News

Abstract

This study aims to describe a picture of the perception of positive communication from Gen Z and lecturers, as well as to describe a picture of program needs, potentials in developing peer mentor programs. The type of research is descriptive quantitative and research data is collected using research instruments intended for lecturers and students in measuring the needs of peer mentor programs, this instrument uses a modified Likert scale model. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling with a total sample of 1050 students and 121 lecturers consisting of 3 provinces in South Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, and Central Sulawesi. Then analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques using the JASP application which describes items in 5 categories, namely very low, low, medium, high, and very high. From the data analysis carried out, the results obtained are: 1) Generation Z's perception of communication patterns is in the very high category and classified as polite, 2) Lecturers' perceptions tend to view generation Z's communication patterns as lacking in terms of 3 aspects, namely understanding of politeness in communicating, behavior polite in communication and awareness of the importance of polite behavior, 3) Development of peer mentor models as an effort to develop positive communication and polite behavior in the language of generation z is included in the very high category.

Abstract

Abstract. This research is a descriptive type of research with a dual method approach, namely quantitative and qualitative, this study aims to determine students' perceptions of the use of Whatsapp in learning German. The data from this study were students' perceptions of the use of Whatsapp in learning German which were obtained from students in the form of questionnaires and interviews. Sources of data in this study were 70 students of SMA Negeri 5 Bulukumba. Based on the results of data analysis from the questionnaire, it showed that as many as 8 (11%) students who had the perception of strongly agreeing, 41 (61%) students who had the perception of agreeing, 20 (27%) students with the perception that it could not be determined, 1 (1%) students with the perception of disagreeing and there were no students who had the perception of strongly disagreeing, and the interview data conducted explained the various features possessed by Whatsapp that can support online learning such as voice messages, video calls and documents. It can be concluded that the perception of students of SMA Negeri 5 Bulukumba on the use of the Whatsapp application in learning German is agree. Keywords: Student Perception, Whatsapp, Learning

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study is to identify the types of errors experienced by students in writing German language passivation. The study uses a qualitative approach, especially the language error analysis approach. The data in this study are in the form of the writings of German students. The results showed that there were 4 types of errors experienced by students: 1) werden conjugation was wrong, 2) did not use Partizip Perfekt, 3) errors in the process of declination of articles, 4) errors in writing subjects or objects. One of the mistakes caused by one of them is the interference of the Indonesian language in learning German. Keywords: Passive Voice, Interference, Error Analysis, German Language.
