Abstract

Environmental damage can occur due to a person's lack of understanding about the environment, so the role of local wisdom needs to be revived to increase understanding regarding the environment. In understanding Environmental Change material, students need problem solving abilities. This problem-solving ability can be supported through problem-based learning models such as the RANDAI (Reciting, Analyzing, Narrating, Doing, Assesing & Implementing) learning model which is realized in the form of digital books. This type of research is development research using the Plomp model with preliminary research stages, prototyping phase, and assessment phase which are limited to practicality testing. The research subjects were three biology lecturers at Padang State University, two biology teachers and 26 students in class XI MIPA 3 at SMA Negeri 5 Pariaman. The instruments used were initial investigation questionnaires, self-evaluation questionnaires, expert review questionnaires, one to one evaluation questionnaires, small group evaluation questionnaires, field test questionnaires, and practicality questionnaires. Based on research conducted, the average validity value is 90.23% in the very valid category. The average practicality test by teachers and students is 88.21% in the practical category, so it can be concluded that the Digital Book Based on the Integrated RANDAI Learning Model of West Sumatra Local Wisdom on Environmental Change Material developed is very valid and practical

Abstract

A concise the purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of the flipped classroom model on the problem solving skills of science education students. A total of 950 studies were analyzed obtained from six databases consisting of ScienceDirect, Education Resources Information Center (ERIC), Wiley Journal, Springer; ProQuest and IEEE aim to get relevant articles published in 2020-2023.  From the analyzed studies, 21 studies were selected for meta-analysis.  Data analysis with JSAP software.  The results showed that the flipped classroom model provides high effectiveness on the problem solving skills of science education students (rRE = 0.97; 95 % CI [0.840; 1.111]; p < 0.001). This finding provides information for teachers to apply the flipped classroom model to improve students' problem solving skills in learning

Abstract

Paradigma pendidikan telah berubah menuju pendidikan abad-21 yang dikenal dengan masa pengetahuan (knowledge age). Pendidikan pada masa knowledge age tidak lagi didominasi dengan transfer pengetahuan namun telah diarahkan pada melibatkan siswa untuk mampu membangun dan mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir sehingga mampu mengkonstruksi pengetahuan baru sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan penguasaan terhadap materi pelajaran. Guru abad-21 diharapkan memiliki lebih banyak pengetahuan dan keterampilan untuk menghadapi dan memahami tantangan perubahan masyarakat. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan soft skill dan hard skill guru dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran inovatif berbasis PBL, case based learning (CBL) dan PjbL dalam membangun keterampilan abad-21 siswa. Rencana kegiatan akan dilakukan dalam beberapa fase: (1) pendalaman materi biologi, (2) pembekalan keterampialan merancang pembelajaran PBL, CBL dan PjBL, (3) mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis PBL/CBL atau PjBL, (4) mengimplementasikan pembelajaran berbasis PBL/CBL atau PjBL. Seluruh kegiatan akan dinilai sebagai evakuasi terhadap pelaksanaan kegiatan.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the many applications of Higher Order Thinking Skills-based test instruments in science learning. However, it has not been found how effective the instrument is in science learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Higher Order Thinking Skills-based test instruments in science learning. This type of research is a meta-analysis. Data sources come from the databases of Google Scholar, Hindawi, ScienceDirect, Wiley, Taylor of Francis, Sage Journal, Springer, ProQuest and ERIC. Search keywords are test instruments, test instruments based on Higher Order Thinking Skills in science learning, and higher order thinking skills. This study analyzed 20 articles published in 2020-2023 used in the meta-analysis. Data analysis techniques with the help of JSAP software. The results concluded that the summary effect size value was 1.24 (very high effect size). This finding shows that the use of test instruments based on Higher Order Thinking Skills is effectively applied in science learning. Furthermore, the research provides higher order tinking skills-based test instruments in science learning in Indonesia and provides important information for the application of higher order thinking skills-based test instruments in the future

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum is a curriculum policy that provides schools the freedom to develop a curriculum according to the needs and learning environment of the students. This curriculum, which has been in place for the past three years, must be evaluated on a micro level. This study aims to reveal the implementation of biology learning in the Merdeka Curriculum at State High Schools in Padang City. A survey method using a questionnaire instrument consisting of 70 statements regarding lesson planning, learning implementation, learning assessment, the Pancasila student profile, and learning obstacles was used to collect data. The research sample consisted of 34 biology teachers and 100 students at State High Schools in Padang City. The results showed that the aspect of lesson planning scored 78.78% in the good category, the aspect of learning implementation scored 80.82% in the good category, the element of learning assessment scored 79.26% in the good category, the aspect of the Pancasila student profile scored 78.04% in the good category, and learning obstacles scored 43.06% in the small category. Overall, the implementation of biology learning in the Merdeka Curriculum at State High Schools in Padang is in a good category with minor obstacles.

Abstract

The RANDAI learning model is one of the learning models that can be used in biology learning. This model can be applied by using learning media that supports the implementation of the syntax of the learning model, one of which is in the form of a digital book. This study aims to produce an Integrated RANDAI-Based Digital Book on Local Potential on Biodiversity Materials for Class X SMA/MA. This research is a research and development research using the Plomp development model. The subjects in this study were 3 biology lecturers, 1 biology teacher and 31 students. The data obtained in this study are in the form of validity and practicality data. This study resulted in a very valid and practical RANDAI-Based Digital Book Based on Local Potential on Biodiversity Materials for Class X SMA/MA with a validity value of 92.53% meeting the very valid criteria and the practicality value by the teacher with a value of 91.91% meeting the very criteria. practicality and practicality scores by students with a value of 86.93% meet the practical criteria. Key words: Digital Books, RANDAI Learning Model   Abstrak. Model pembelajaran RANDAI adalah salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran biologi. Model ini dapat diterapkan dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran yang mendukung pelaksanaan sintaks dari model pembelajaran tersebut, salah satunya dalam bentuk buku digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan Buku Digital Berbasis RANDAI Terintegrasi Potensi Lokal pada Materi Keanekaragaman Hayati untuk Kelas X SMA/MA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (research and development) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan Plomp. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 3 orang dosen Biologi, 1 orang guru biologi dan 31 orang peserta didik. Data yang didapatkan dalam penelitian ini berupa data validitas dan praktikalitas.  Penelitian ini menghasilkan Buku Digital Berbasis RANDAI Terintegrasi Potensi Lokal pada Materi Keanekaragaman Hayati untuk Kelas X SMA/MA yang sangat valid dan praktis dengan nilai validitas 92,53% memenuhi kriteria sangat valid dan nilai praktikalitas oleh guru dengan nilai 91,91% memenuhi kriteria sangat praktis dan nilai praktikalitas oleh peserta didik dengan nilai 86,93% memenuhi kriteria praktis. Abstract

The use of appropriate teaching materials is a very important factor to improve the ability of students to understand learning materials. Therefore, teaching materials are needed that are in accordance with the needs of students. The purpose of this study was to produce LKPD based on a scientific approach accompanied by critical thinking exercises on virus material for class X SMA/MA that were valid and practical. This type of research is research and development using the ADDIE development model. At the development stage, validation is carried out by the validator. Meanwhile, at the implementation stage, the product was not tested, but only a practical questionnaire was given to teachers and students. The research instrument used is a validity questionnaire and a practicality questionnaire. Based on the results of the study, the resulting LKPD has very valid criteria with a validity value of 88.6% and the practicality value by teachers and students has very practical criteria with a practicality value of 95.8% and 95.3%. Thus, it can be concluded that the developed worksheets can be used in learning. Key words: Student Worksheet, Scientific Approach, Critical Thinking, Virus   ABSTRAK Penggunaan bahan ajar yang tepat merupakan faktor yang sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik dalam memahami materi pembelajaran. Maka dari itu, dibutuhkan bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan LKPD berbasis pendekatan saintifik disertai latihan berpikir kritis pada materi virus kelas X SMA/MA yang valid dan praktis. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Pada tahap development dilakukan validasi oleh validator. Sedangkan pada tahap implementation produk tidak diujikan, melainkan hanya diberikan angket praktikalitas pada guru dan peserta didik. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu angket validitas dan angket praktikalitas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, LKPD yang dihasilkan memiliki kriteria sangat valid dengan nilai validitas 88.6% dan nilai praktikalitas oleh guru dan peserta didik memiliki kriteria sangat praktis dengan nilai praktikalitas 95.8% dan 95.3%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD yang dikembangkan sudah dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Kata kunci: Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik, Pendekatan Saintifik, Berpikir Kritis, Virus

Abstract

One of the 21st century skills needed to face the 4.0 revolution era is problem solving skills. However, these skills have not been fully mastered by students so that they can be improved through the application of the RANDAI learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of the RANDAI learning model on improving students' problem solving skills on fungi material at SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang. This research is an experimental research with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The study population was the entire X IPA class of SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang. The research sample was X IPA 1 class students as the control class and X IPA 2 for the experimental class. The sampling technique was purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used 6 essay questions. The data analysis used paired sample t-test. Based on the research results, the experimental class students' problem solving ability scores were higher than the control class. The results of the paired sample t-test obtained a significant value of 0.000 ˂ 0.05, meaning that there is a significant difference in the improvement of problem solving skills between the experimental class and the control class. So it can be concluded that the application of the RANDAI learning model has a positive effect in improving problem solving skills on fungi material in class X SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang.

Abstract

Untuk mengelola pembelajaran saat ini secara efektif, siswa harus terlibat aktif dalam proses tersebut. Siswa yang aktif belajar akan mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kemampuan menganalisis permasalahan terkait pembelajaran. Modul pengajaran merupakan salah satu instrumen pengajaran yang penting dalam proses pembelajaran. Diperlukan juga model pembelajaran yang memungkinkan pembelajaran aktif dengan mengintegrasikan paradigma PBL ke dalam modul pengajaran, selain modul pengajaran itu sendiri. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menunjukkan bahwa modul pengajaran berbasis PBL dapat berfungsi untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran siswa dan memaksimalkan proses pembelajaran secara metodis dan efektif. Studi ini menerapkan metodologi literatur review pada publikasi yang diterbitkan selama lima tahun terakhir (2016–2024). Dari jumlah tersebut, 20 artikel memberikan bukti bahwa penggunaan paradigma PBL pada pembelajaran biologi dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Oleh karena itu, untuk mendorong pembelajaran aktif dalam proses pembelajaran biologi, modul pengajaran berbasis PBL dapat diterapkan.

Abstract

Saat ini, sebagian besar populasi milenial atau generasi Z hidup secara online. Untuk menarik perhatian siswa selama proses pembelajaran, penggunaan internet di kelas membedakannya dari jenis pengajaran yang dilakukan guru sebelum merasa nyaman dengan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Tujuan dari studi tinjauan literatur ini adalah untuk mengetahui keuntungan signifikan dari mengintegrasikan sumber belajar interaktif yang dibangun di Google Sites ke dalam proses pendidikan. Survei literatur yang mencakup 20 artikel domestik dan internasional yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2018 dan 2024 dilakukan untuk penelitian ini. Dapat kita tarik kesimpulan bahwa media pembelajaran interaktif layak digunakan di kelas dan menawarkan berbagai keunggulan, antara lain mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dan berfungsi sebagai alat pengajaran yang efektif.
