Abstract

This research is purposed to procure representation about correlations between civic education courses with the students’ insight into nationalism and the students’ spirit of nationalism in STKIP Garut. This study used quantitative approach with a correlation study method. The data of this study was obtained through questionnaires and tests given to students in STKIP Garut. Researcher revealed that: 1. The implementation of civic education as a general basic course included in personality development course in STKIP Garut had been implemented very well and was able to make a significant contribution, which is in accordance to civic education’s goal itself. 2. Students in STKIP Garut were believed to have a good insight into nationalism and a strong nationalism. 3. The application of civic education courses as a general basic course has a strong correlation and a great influence on the improvement of the students’ insight into nationalism and the spirit of nationalism in STKIP Garut.Keywords: Civic education course, nationality, insight on nationalism, spirit of nationalism, STKIP Garut.

Abstract

Research is moving on from the issue of th e behavior of learners wich displays the attitude that is not commendable, be less attention and enthusiastic in the learning process so that those conditions concern the researcher to know in depth about the importance of the creation of the character of learners. The approach used is the qualitative approach witj action research methods class. Based on the findings of there search result in the field through instruments of direct observation or interviews that the character formation learners positively impact the learning effectiveness againt PKn teachers can identify the behavior of learners, learns can analyse and disclose his opinion regarding media story area, learners understand the material presented by the teacher in the classroom. The VCT model affect the appearance of religiosity attitudes, honesty, intelligence, toughness, concern, democracy.Keywords: Model VCT, media local story, character.

Abstract

In the middle of 1990 were built boarding school having a pattern of education thorough to create educational environment ideal in developing and to create character of students. This study was conducted in junior high school Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School Bandung. This study adopted qualitative approaches and methods of descriptive. Research findings dhow that : Forms an empathy and social care that reflected in learning activities civic education: appreciate a difference of opinion, to cooperate in team discussion, an expression of opinion students over a moral to prioritize the interests of others first .Then, in the program extracurricular namely participating in the activity of gathering funds and social activities. The culture of schools and dormitory the students reflected an empathy and socially responsible by providing aid tending if is sick, provide loans money, motivate have a friend sad, sensitive to problem those who around. Although there is still several things must be repaired next in system learning character in schools that integrated with curriculum based the value of a character in boarding. Abstract

The impact of globalization is characterized competitive climate is a challenge for vocational competence in improving attitudes, knowledge, skills of graduates, it is a form of self-achievement. The value of self achievement SMK Negeri 3 Tangerang City fostered through the learning process and extracurricular Civics. This study used a qualitative approach to the case study method, the data obtained through interviews, observation, documentation studies. Planning and implementation of learning refers to the model Civics Curriculum 2013, the development-oriented attitude, knowledge, skills students proportionally. In extracurricular activities benefit the students change attitudes, knowledge, skills. Civics and learning through extracurricular activities can foster achievement scores in shaping the character of a good citizen.

Abstract

The result of research indicates that (1) the Civic Education’s teacher in the activity of learning plan can afford to develop the basic design of curriculum, to apply the learning load, to arrange the academic calendar, to develop the syllabus, as well as to arrange and develop RPP as a guideline in the learning process structured based on the competency that must be achieved by the educated participants; (2) the Civic Education’s teacher in applying the learning plan in the learning process has mastered the standard of Civic Education learning process in the classroom, be able to develop the Civic Education learning material creatively, be able to manage the classroom in the Civic Education learning, and the teacher has mastered the standard of educational evaluation in the Civic Education learning; (3) the Civic Education’s teacher in evaluating the learning process and result has implemented the authentic assesment by using various evaluating manners/techniques, implementing authentic assesment by regarding the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects, as well as the result of evaluation analyzed by the teacher as a feedback material for the students and teacher, and/or for determining the student’s achievement.Keywoard: Teacher’s Performance, Planning and Process of LearningABSTRAK

Abstract

Masalah pembelajaran merupakan masalah kompleks yang dihadapi mulai dari sekolah tingkat dasar sampai dengan tingkat perguruan tinggi, sehingga masih perlu dicari upaya-upaya dalam mengatasi masalah pembelajaran. Salah satu cara mengatasi masalah pembelajaran tersebut adalah dengan menggunakan peta pemikiran. Dengan diterapkannya peta pemikiran dalam penyampaian materi Hukum Pidana, diharapkan mampu menarik perhatian mahasiswa sehingga lebih fokus terhadap materi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan maksud peneliti dapat mendeskripsikan secara jelas dan rinci serta mendapat data mendalam dan fokus penelitian tentang Implementasi model pembelajaran iMindMap dalam memanfaatkan cara kerja otak sebagai mesin asosiasi untuk mengatasi kesulitan belajar mahasiswa PKn pada mata kuliah Hukum Pidana. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa Proses pembelajaran iMindMap mampu meningkatkan cara belajar, berfikir mahasiswa dalam mempresentasikan tidak lagi membaca slide power point, serta dalam menyampaikan presentasi di depan kelas sangat sistematis kecenderungan hal ini membuat semangat atau motivasi mahasiswa menunjukan hal positif dalam pembelajaran Hukum Pidana.

Abstract

Civic education conventional method ignore the monotonous process of building value in facing of globalization. VCT analysis moral dilemmas method used one of the learning strategies to form a global insights citizens competences. This study developed about what a significant different the attitude, skill, and knowledge of global insights citizens competences between the class student who use  VCT analysis moral dilemmas in civic education with don’t use VCT analysis moral dilemmas. The method in studies used quantitative approach with quasi experimental study. Based on different test performed, so that the value analysis dilemmas moral han an influence on global insights citizens competences.

Abstract

WHO categorizes Covid-19 as a pandemic that has an impact on various aspects of life. In this condition, it turns out that there are still individuals who care to help others, one of which is the FPIPS Academic Society. Therefore, researchers are interested in raising this issue to be a study that aims to describe in-depth the actualization of the FPIPS Academic Society's caring character in responding to the pandemic based on moral knowing, moral feeling/attitude, and moral activity.  This research study used a qualitative approach with the case study method. While the data collection techniques through observation, documentation study, and interviews online to selected participants based on snowball sampling technique. The general result is the actualization of social care characters FPIPS Academic Society's involve three-component characters, is knowing the good, desiring the good, and activity the good. The specific result of this research such as First, the academic community has good knowledge of social care by having knowing the moral values of social responsibility, awareness the factual issue related to Covid-19 and their impacts, have moral awareness, and moral reasoning so that they deciding social care is necessary for responding to the Covid-19 pandemic. Besides, they able to analyze, evaluate, and even contribute an idea related to social care. Second, the academic community shows a good sense of social care with a sense of empathy, a feeling of happiness to help, a feeling of confidence to help, and a growing desire to continue taking social care activities. The last, the social care actions practiced by the academic community are very diverse, both in light and weight scales, which can generally be classified as four classes, that is sharing, donating, cooperative, and donating.Keyword: Covid-19, Social Care Characters, Academic Society

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami pelestarian nilai-nilai civic culture dalam memperkuat identitas budaya masyarakat Batak Toba melalui makna simbolik ulos dalam pelaksanaan upacara perkawinan. Fokus penelitian ini adalah upaya yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat dalam melestarikan nilai-nilai civic culture, dan mengapa masyarakat Batak Toba perlu untuk melestarikan nilai-nilai civic culture tersebut. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan partisipasi langsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) ulos tidak bisa lepas dari kehidupann orang Batak Toba karena merupakan warisan nenek moyang sejak dahulu kala, ulos juga sebagai simbol kasih sayang di antara keluarga, yaitu antara orang tua dan anak, dan juga antar sesama anggota masyarakat; (2) upaya yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat dan pemerintah dalam melestarikan nilai-nilai civic culture tersebut adalah dengan cara memberikan pemahaman dan penjelasan kepada generasi muda dan membangun sebuah cagar budaya; (3) alasan mengapa masyarakat Batak Toba perlu melestarikan nilai-nilai civic culture tersebut adalah agar warisan nenek moyang tetap terjaga karena di dalam makna simbolik ulos tersebut terdapat nilai-nilai luhur Pancasila, seperti nilai ketuhanan, kemanusiaan, persatuan, kerakyatan, dan keadilan.  Preservation of The Value of Civic Culture in Strengthening The Cultural Identity of The Community: Case Study on The Symbolic Meaning of Marriage of Ulos in The Implementation of Batak Toba Society in Sitorang). This reseach aims to understand the preservation the value of civic culture in strengthening the cultural identity of Batak Toba society through the symbolic meaning of ulos in the implementation of the marriage. This research focuses to have the efforts made by the community in preserving the value of civic culture, and to find out why the people of Batak Toba need to preserve the value of the civic culture. The study uses a qualitative case study method. The techniques of data collection are done through interviews, observation, documentation, and direct participation. The reseach results show that: (1) Ulos is not separated from the life of Batak Toba, because it is a heritage since a very long time ago, ulos is also as a symbol of affection among family,between parents and children, as well as among members of society; (2) The effort made by the public and the government in prevising the value of the civic culture is to provide an understanding and explanation to the younger generation and build a cultural heritage; (3) Reasons why people of Batak Toba need to preserve the value of the civic culture is that the heritage is maintained, because the noble values of Pancasila can be found in the symbolic meanings of ulos, as the value of divinity, humanity, unity, democracy, and justice.

Abstract

The role of civic community in encouraging the youth as the pioneer of the nation self- reliance. This study aims to explore the role of civic community in optimising the potential of youth in order to become the pioneer of nation self-reliance. The research method used, i.e. qualitative approach to the design of case studies on community "Pasukan Kresek"  in Malang Regency, East Java. The results showed  that "Pasukan Kresek" as a civic community serves as a media that enable the youth participation through social movements  which based on self-reliance and local things oriented to create the better future. Thus, it could raise the greatest potentials of the youth as the pioneer of the nation self-reliance.
