Abstract

In the digital era, learning activity requires several competencies including several applications to use digital media like digital Quran. This research is aimed at analyzing the strategies to increase religious substance in Islamic religious education courses for students Majoring in PAI (Pendidikan Agama Islam/Islamic Religious Education), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, through the Digital Quran. This study applied a survey approach involving 104 students in their third semester. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that the thematic learning of the digital Quran, which was carried out simultaneously, could increase students’ religious substance with Fcount 22.477 > Ftable 3.09, significance value 0.05, and probability 0.000

Abstract

Religious tolerance is one of the competencies listed in Indonesia higher education curriculum. There is a need to design learning model that can increase students’ religious tolerance in higher education. This study aims to produce a learning model for religious education which is based on the Quran to nurture students’ religious tolerance. To answer the problem of this study, a quasi-R&D model was chosen. This research is multi-years. In the first year (2019) a learning model was tested. The research findings showed that the lecture model was carried out in six stages: describing the Qur'anic view of the faith of adherents of non-Islamic religions; reminding students of the dangers of takfir; describing students’ common mistakes in assessing other religions; describing the main teachings of other religions correctly; searching for common denominator between Islam and other religions; and developing inclusive attitudes and religious tolerance. After being tested, this learning model has proven to be effective in increasing students' understanding of the basic teachings of other religions, in understanding of the basic teachings of Islam, in developing more robust understanding in their Islamic aqeedah, and being more inclusive and tolerant to adherents of other religions.

Abstract

Undeniably, the study focusing on akhlaq education is important to conduct, and one of the moral educations is gratitude. The purpose of this present study is to find out the meaning of gratitude based on the Qur'anic digital thematic study and its implications on akhlaq education in elementary school. This study employed a qualitative approach and digital Qur`anic thematic methods. Based on the results of the study, the terms gratitude were revealed in 43 verses of the Quran (Arabic) and 68 verses of the Quran (Indonesian Translation). The meaning of gratitude based on the Qur`anic digital thematic study of the Quran is considered as the value of the core character. Gratitude is commanded for humans who have been given the favor of faith and Islam, have been following the Messenger of Allah Salla Allah ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam, have been granted good sustenance, have been obliged to carry out various types of worship, and they will be granted forgiveness of their sins if they repent. However, most people in fact denied the various favors granted to them. In the bottom line, as an implication, it is obvious that gratitude is highly important to be learned, understood, trained and put into practice from the early age. Inevitably, it can be realized through the existence of formal education institutions, especially primary school level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam di sebuah sekolah yang memiliki program akselerasi. Dalam proses pembelajaran terdapat tiga aspek penting yaitu perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif melalui pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui pengamatan langsung, wawancara, studi dokumentasi, dan triagulasi. Teknik analisis data dengan cara reduksi data, paparan data, penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Berdasarkan hasil pembahasan pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam di SD Ar-Rafi Baleendah perencanaan pembelajaran secara teksis sama seperti pada sekolah SD reguler pada umumnya. Sementara pelaksanaan pembelajaran dilaksanakan dengan cara lebih menekankan pada materi esensial dan materi non-esensial. Sedangkan untuk evaluasi pembelajaran terdapat perbedaan waktu untuk menyelesaikan pendidikan bagi anak berbakat ini lebih cepat dibandingkan anak reguler pada umumnya, yakni lima tahun sebagaimana yang diprogramkan. Implikasinya, guru pendidikan agama Islam harus mampu mengkombinasikan antara perencanaan, pelaksanaan, serta evaluasi pembelajaran yang dapat mengembangkan potensi siswa berbakat menuju manusia yang mulia. Bukan hanya dengan penguasaan kognitif saja, akan tetapi perlu adanya afeksi serta psikomotroik secara optimal. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Islamic religious education learning in a school that has an accelerated program. In the learning process there are three important aspects namely learning planning, learning implementation, and learning evaluation. The method used in this research is descriptive method through a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques through direct observation, interviews, study documentation, and triagulation. Data analysis techniques by data reduction, data exposure, drawing conclusions and verification. Based on the results of the discussion of Islamic religious education learning in Ar-Rafi Baleendah Elementary School the planning of learning is textually the same as in regular elementary schools in general. While the implementation of learning is carried out by way of more emphasis on essential and non-essential material. While for the evaluation of learning there is a difference in time to complete education for gifted children is faster than regular children in general, which is five years as programmed. The implication, Islamic religious education teachers must be able to combine in terms of planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning that can develop the potential of gifted students towards noble human beings. Not only with cognitive mastery, but also the need for affection and psychomotor optimally.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the rampant cases and the spread of intolerant and radical understanding. The cases of intolerance and radicalization even occur to students who should possess a tolerant religious understanding and not get caught up in the indoctrination of religious violence. This study aims to analyze the correlation between PAI learning outcomes and religious tolerance. It applies a causal design and quantitative approach with survey method. The population of UPI Bumi Siliwangi is 24.340 students. The data is collected by utilizing probality sampling technique (cluster sampling). There are 344 respondents and questionnaires are served as the research instrument. Then, the data is analyzed by using descriptive and inferential analysis with the assistance of SPSS. The results of this study indicate that the learning outcomes of UPI students mostly get A is at the level of 45,9%. Religious tolerance of UPI students is generally at the most tolerant level of 61,63%. Tolerance to other religions is highest at the tolerant level of 60,17. Tolerance to the same religion but with different understanding, in this case is minority mazhab, is mostly tend to be intolerant level of 47,67%. Tolerance to the state and government, is mostly at the tolerant level of 38,66%. This study finds that there is no significant correlation between PAI learning outcomes and religious tolerance among the UPI students.

Abstract

This study tries to explore the education process of the perject man (insan kamil) in the sufi center/ zawiyyah of Ilmu Syaththariah. This study finds several points: firstly, in the Ilmu Syaththariah perspective, Wasithah is the elite respondent (the only reference) in having a religious. He is al-muthohharun (yang disucikan Tuhan) who is given ability to understand the Qur'an. The main fumtion of Wasithah is as the people of invocation (ahladz dzikri), uniting the human essence with the God essence in order that man can absolutety worship the God essence (not His name) when he conducts the religious activities. In praying, man must remember God in order that he is not sentenced to be negligent because one who is negligent to remember God is judged to come into the hell. Secondly, knowing the divine essence through being the people of invocation (ahli zikir) becomes the first step in the process of walking the way of being the perfect man. Then, it is followed by performing spiritual guide's advice wholeheartedly with heart, spirit, and intelledual intuition that always remember the essence of divine mystery. Thirdly, the education process of the perfect man emphasizes the consciousness of the discriples that being the perfect man is due to God's guidance. Therefore, the disciples are resuscitated in order to always hope obtaining His forgiveness, His merry, His help, His virtue, and always hope the Wasithah's grace and blessing. Man also hopes the easiness in performing all spiritual guides' advices until he reaches the spiritual degree (martabat) of the perfed man. Fourthly, the concept of the pe,fect man in the Ilmu Syaththariah perspective can be implemented in the education institutions. Based on the surory, it shows that the students who become the Syaththariah community look more faithful in the observance ef religious obligations than those who do not involve in this the Syaththariah community in the same education institutions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan tingkat pemahaman tentang moderasi beragama mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi umum dan keagamaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitataif dengan desain komparatif. Dengan menggunakan teknik sample random sampling, terpilih sampel sebanyak 160 orang dengan rincian 80 sampel dari mahasiswa Perguruan Tinggi Umum (PTU), dan 80 orang dari mahasiswa Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Negeri (PTKIN). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa PAI di PTU sebesar 131,76 atau berada pada kategori sedang. Sedangkan, rata-rata skor tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa PAI di PTKIN sebesar 128,01 yang juga berada pada kategori sedang. Kemudian hasil tersebut dianalisis dengan menggunakan Uji Mann Whitney U. Berdasarkan hasil uji tersebut, diperoleh hasil asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,006 yang lebih kecil dari 0,025. Maka, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata yang cukup signifikan antara tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa PAI di PTU dan PTKIN terhadap konsep moderasi beragama. Dimana, rata-rata pemahaman mahasiswa PAI di PTU lebih besar 3,69 poin daripada pemahaman mahasiswa PAI di PTKIN. Namun pemahaman mahasiswa PAI terhadap moderasi beragama baik di PTU maupun PTKIN berada pada kategori sedang. Artinya pemhaman mereka terhadap moderasi beragama cukup moderat.

Abstract

At this time among Indonesian Muslims, the phenomenon of tasyabbuh is often encountered, such as the celebration of Valentine's Day, the style of dress, birthday celebrations and many more. This study aims to analyze the opinion of Muslim students regarding birthday celebrations as an example of the tasyabbuh phenomenon in everyday life. This study analyzes the law of birthday celebrations in an Islamic perspective. The research method is a mixed method (quantitative and qualitative). The research was conducted in three stages, namely i) distributing questionnaires; ii) in-depth interviews with experts and iii) data analysis. Respondents consisted of 35 active university students in Indonesia and two religious’ teachers in the Padalarang and Cimahi areas, Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that there are two opinions about birthday celebrations. First, there are scholars who allow birthday celebrations as long as they do not violate Islamic law and second, there are scholars who argue that birthday celebrations are prohibited because they resemble Jews and Christians. Both opinions have a strong legal basis derived from the Qur'an and Hadith. By doing this research, it is hoped that every Muslim can be wise about the actions that will be taken by paying attention to the law in an Islamic perspective. Therefore, a Muslim does not just follow a culture without knowing the cause and effect of the act.
