Abstract

The growth of fashion development among male consumers in Indonesia is not supported by the increasing study on the male fashion segment. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the Generation Y male buying intention towards fashion products since Gen Y is the most prospective market. This study aims to investigate the factors that influence fashion consciousness among males in Indonesia by using self-identity, social media influence, changes in work practices, advancement in information technology, mass media influence variables, and the impact of fashion consciousness on buying intention. By employing quantitative research, the data collected uses a self-administered online questionnaire. The samples of this research are 227 respondents of Gen Y males with their profile data. This study uses partial squares structural equation modeling analysis with the smart PLS application to test the hypothesis. The findings of this study show that self-identity, social media influence, and mass media influence have a significant impact on fashion consciousness. Also, fashion consciousness has significant results on buying intention.

Abstract

Technological developments are increasingly rapid from time to time, causing all areas of the business sector to be required to be adaptive. One of which is the banking sector. The digital era has made mobile banking an option to facilitate transaction activities. The actual use of mobile banking is a real-world interpretation to explain the impact of electronic service quality more comprehensively. This study aims to explore mobile banking users in Indonesia. The quality of e-service in mobile banking uses the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) approach. The survey was conducted in Bandung with 202 mobile banking users; the data were analyzed using SMART PLS with the methods of reliability test, validity test, hypothesis test, and mediation analysis to be able to interpret the research objectives more specifically. The findings indicate e-service quality significantly impacts attitudes towards m-banking, perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use. It points out that internet-based transactions, especially mobile banking systems, should be made easier, safer, and more convenient for consumers to use.

Abstract

In its development, Business Statistics has used several types of technology to facilitate the learning process for students, such as statistical software, spreadsheets, calculators, multimedia materials, and data repositories. The calculator includes computer technology with a simple version but allows students to experience an active learning process. Thus, the calculator media was chosen as the main learning media in business statistics courses, including in evaluating student abilities. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effectiveness of using calculators in Business Statistics courses. The research was conducted using a mix method, namely qualitative (questionnaire) and quantitative (experimental). The results showed that there was an increase in the average value of Simple Linear Regression for groups of students who used statistical applications on calculators compared to groups who did not use calculators. Based on the results of the questionnaire and suggestions, it was found that 87.7% of students considered it easy to understand the Business Statistics application questions, when using the statistical application on a calculator. Suggestions made by students were the availability of guidelines for using statistical calculator applications for practice, and the availability of calculators in the research laboratory that students could use for practice

Abstract

UKM Serba Singkong Cirendeu (UKM SSC) yang terletak di Kampung Adat Cirendeu (KAC) secara aktif memproduksi dan menjual produk olahan singkong kepada para wisatawan yang berkunjung ke KAC. Saat ini, UKM SSC masih sangat mengandalkan penjualan offline dan promosi word of mouth untuk memasarkan produknya. Namun, cara ini dianggap kurang sesuai dengan tipe konsumen yang sekarang lebih banyak hadir di dunia “online”. Terlebih lagi, di masa pandemic COVID-19 penjualan UKM SSC menurun drastis akibat tidak adanya lagi wisatawan yang berkunjung ke KAC. Maka, untuk mengatasi permasalahan penjualan yang belum optimal ini, tim PKM menggagas suatu solusi berupa peningkatan adopsi UKM SSC dalam pemasaran digital. Gagasan ini dilakukan ke dalam lima tahap kegiatan, yaitu (1) Analisis program pemasaran UKM SSC saat ini, (2) Pemilihan media pemasaran digital yang tepat, (3) Penyiapan materi pelatihan pemasaran digital, (4) Pelatihan pemasaran digital, (5) Evaluasi. Tim PKM memilih platform Instagram sebagai media pemasaran digital yang tepat untuk memasarkan produk singkon UKM SSC dengan nama akun @serba_singkong_cireundeu. Selain itu, UKM SSC juga diberikan pelatihan mengenai pengelolaan Instagram. Dari pelatihan tersebut, kelima peserta pelatihan menilai bahwa penyampaian materi telah dilakukan dengan jelas oleh tim PKM dan materi yang disampaikan juga bermanfaat bagi pengembangan bisnis mereka.
