Abstract

This study aims to analyze the characteristics of student learning styles based on visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles as well as the characteristics of learning styles based on the surrounding environment. The research method uses descriptive qualitative. The research sample was using a random technique so that the total sample was 43 students. The instrument of this research is a questionnaire with 3 indicators of visual, auditory and kinesthetic as well as how the role of the surrounding environment in determining student learning styles. Supporting instruments using interview techniques. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics and qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the identification of student characteristics on learning styles is seen from visual learning styles (28%), auditory (31%) and kinesthetic (41%). Characteristics of learning styles in the form of environmental identification based on student interaction are learning alone (23%), studying with others in a calm state (28%) and learning with others by doing something (49%). Identification of the environment based on outdoor learning places is 77% and the percentage of indoor learning is (23%). Based on the identification results, the majority have the habit and desire to learn outside the classroom in developing their competencies, this is in line with the heutagogy learning strategy, namely independent learning, developing their own learning strategies, developing theoretical and practical materials together with people or groups who can work together.

Abstract

AbstractThe study was conducted to the effect of soil amendment on the growth and production of three Inpari 23 rice plants on three types of soil. The research design used was a split-plot experiment, with 3 replications. The main plot of soil from the location consisted of andosol soil type from Karanganyar (L1), Mediterranean soil type from Magelang (L2), and alluvial soil type from Demak (L3). Sub-plots are without soil amendment (R1) and with soil amendment (R2). Parameters observed were plant height, number of tillers, the weight of plant crown, and harvest index. The data obtained were statistically analyzed by analysis of variance prosedure, and the LSD test at the 5% level for to comparation the difference mean between treatments. The results showed that the interaction effect between the treatment of soil improvement and the type of soil from three locations was significant (P<0,05) based on the parameters of the number of tillers and the weight of the plant crown. The conclution of the study that the growth and production of the Inpari 23 variety were highest with soil improvement (R2 on the alluvial soil type from Demak (L3), followed by the Mediterranean soil type from Magelang. Abstract

Conditions of post coal mining areal which having losing of vegetation because of coal exploration usually have high soils acidity (pH < 5) and poor of organic matter and nutrient for plants to growing good. The mining company usually adding organic matter and planting forage legume to increase the organic matter of the soils. Objective of the research was to evaluate the growth of some forage legume that adapted on post coal mining soils dan the respone of organic matter added for post coal mining soils. Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three replications were used in this experiment. The first factor was four kinds of forage legume, i.e. (L1 = Centrosema pubescens; L2 = Pueraria javanica; L3 = Calopogonium mucunoides; and L4 = Crotalaria juncea). The second factor was three kinds of plant medium (M0 = non post mining soil; M1 = post coal mining soil without organic matter added; and M2 = post coal mining soil with organic matter added (2% of organic carbon)). Collected data were analyzed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), followed by Least Significant Defference (LSD) at 5% level of sifnificant. The result of this experiment showed that application of organic matter on post coal mining soils increased the measured parameters (plant height, root lenght, leaf number, and root nodule number) of forage legume. According to the result of this experiment, concluded that Calopogonium mucunoides (L3) was more adapted on post coal mining soils than the other forage legumes, but Crotalaria juncea (L4) was more responsive for organic matter added.

Abstract

Berbagai upaya telah dilakukan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas, produksi maupun populasi sapi potong dalam rangka mendukung program kecukupan daging (PKD) 2010, yang direvisi menjadi 2014. Produksi daging dalam negeri diharapkan mampu memenuhi 9095% kebutuhan daging nasional. Karena itu, pengembangan sapi potong perlu dilakukan melalui pendekatan usaha yang berkelanjutan, didukung dengan industri pakan yang mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan bahan pakan lokal spesifik lokasi melalui pola yang terintegrasi. Hingga kini, upaya pengembangan sapi potong belum mampu memenuhi kebutuhan daging dalam negeri, selain rentan terhadap serangan penyakit. Hal ini dapat disebabkan oleh berbagai kelemahan dalam sistem pengembangan peternakan. Oleh karena itu, perlu diupayakan model pengembangan dan kelembagaan yang tepat berbasis masyarakat dan secara ekonomi menguntungkan. Pemerintah sebaiknya menyerahkan pengembangan peternakan ke depan kepada masyarakat melalui mekanisme pasar bebas. Pemerintah lebih berperan dalam pelayanan dan membangun kawasan untuk memecahkan permasalahan dasar dalam pengembangan peternakan sehingga dapat mengaktifkan mekanisme pasar. Usaha peternakan hendaknya dapat memacu perkembangan agroindustri sehingga membuka kesempatan kerja dan usaha. Implikasi kebijakan dari gagasan ini adalah perlu dibuat peta jalan pembangunan peternakan nasional dan diuraikan secara rinci di setiap wilayah pengembangan ternak.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendapatkan manajemen pemupukan fosfat untuk pertumbuhan generatif alfalfa yang ditanam pada ketinggian tempat tertentu. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok(RAK), terdiri dari 5 perlakuan (0, 50, 100, 150, 200 kg P2O/ha) dan 4 kelompok ulangan. Variabel yang diamati adalah karakteristik pertumbuhan generatif alfalfa, yaitu jumlah tanaman berbunga, jumlah tanamanberpolong dan berat per 100 biji. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, pemupukan fosfat tidak berpengaruh terhadap jumlah tanaman yang berbunga dan berpolong pada umur 14 minggu. Pemupukan fosfat tidaknyata meningkatkan persen tanaman alfalfa yang berbunga dan berpolong, tetapi meningkatkan bobot per 100 biji. Alfalfa mutan membutuhkan pemupukan fosfat 122,50 kg P52O/ha untuk mendapatkan berat per100 biji yang maksimum.

Abstract

The research aimed to study the growth and yield of red spinach as affected by manures and giberelin. This research used monofactor experiment with Completely Randomized Design consist of 7 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments were T0 (control), T1 (GA3 100 ppm and cow manure 6,250 kg / ha), T2 (GA3 200 ppm and cow manure 12,500 kg / ha), T3 (GA3 300 ppm and cow manure 18,750 kg / ha), T4 (GA3 100 ppm and goat manure 3,750 kg / ha), T5 (GA3 200 ppm and goat manure 7,500 kg / ha), T6 (GA3 300 ppm and goat manure 11.250 kg / ha). Observed parameters were plant height, leaf number, leaf area, wet weight and dry weight. The data were processed by analysis of variance and further test with Duncan Multiple Range Test and Contrast Test. The best plant height growth was in the treatment of 18,750 kg / ha of cow manure and 300 ppm gibberellin resulted plant height of 21.11 cm. The highest number of leaves in the treatment of 11,250 kg / ha of goat manure and 300 ppm gibberellin resulted 21.44 leaves. Leaf area (528.79 cm2), fresh weight (68,50 g), and best dry weight (26.97 g) were achieved at 7,500 kg / ha goat manure treatment and 200 ppm giberelin. It was concluded that the application of manure and gibberellin increased plant growth (plant height, leaf number, leaf area), and crop production (fresh weight and dry weight) of red spinach. The combination of goat manure and giberelin was better than cow manure on all parameters. Goat manure of 7,500 kg / ha and 200 ppm gibberellin increased growth and production of red spinach on leaf area parameters, fresh weight, and dry weight. Keywords : red spinach, manure, gibberellin

Abstract

ABSTRACT  The purpose of this research was figured out of goat manure and FeSO4 by added concentrations of FeSO4 to growth and producton of red lettuce. It was done by using by 2x3 completely randomized design with 5 times. The first factor was goat manure (no goat manure and goat manure) and the second factor were various concentrations of FeSO4 (0 ppm, 2.0 ppm dan 2.5 ppm).. Parameters observed were plant height, fresh weight, chlorophyll, and betacarotene. The result showed that the treatment of goat manure gave more significant effect (p<0,05) compared with no goat mannure at plant height, fresh weight, and betacarotene but insignificant at chlorophyll. The treaments of FeSO4 (2 and 2.5 ppm) insignificant at all of parameters. Keywords : lettuce, goat manure, FeSO4 ABSTRAK  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan pupuk kotoran kambing dengan penambahan dosis FeSO4 terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman selada merah. Penelitian disusun dengan percobaan faktorial 2x3 rancangan acak lengkap 5 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah pupuk kotoran kambing (kontrol dan pupuk kotoran kambing) dan faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi FeSO4 (0 ppm, 2.0 ppm dan 2.5 ppm). Parameter yang diamati yaitu, tinggi tanaman, berat segar, klorofil, dan betakaroten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pemberian pupuk kandang memberikan hasil yang nyata (p<0,05) lebih tinggi dibanding tanpa pupuk kandang terhadap tinggi tanaman, berat segar, dan betakaroten, tetapi tidak nyata pada klorofil. Pada perlakuan FeSO4 2 dan 2.5 ppm tidak menunjukkan pengaruh nyata terhadap semua parameter. Kata kunci : Selada, pupuk kotoran kambing, FeSO4

Abstract

ABSTRACT  The aim of this research was to observe of subtitution of inorganic fertilizer with organic herbs fertilizer on growth and production of tomato plants. The research used Monofactor Completely Randomized Design with 3 replications. The treatment that substitution of inorganic fertilizer with organic herbal fertilizer were 100%+0% (T0); 80%+20% (T1); 60%+40% (T2); (T3) 40%+60% (T3);20%+80% (T4); 0%+100% (T5). Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, number of flowers, number of fruit and weight of fresh fruit. Data were analysis of variabel (F Test) and further test with Tukey Multiple Range Test (BNT). The results showed that the substitution of fertilizer on treatment T3 (40% of inorganic fertilizers + 60% organic herbal fertilizer) can give number of leaves, number of flowers, number of fruit and weight of fresh fruit higher than compared with the other treatment. However, no significant effect on plant height. Keywords: Tomato varieties of permata, organic herbal fertilizer, dosage ABSTRAK  Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh substitusi pupuk anorganik dengan pupuk herbal organik terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman tomat. Penelitian menggunakan percobaan Monofaktor Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikanadalah substitusi pupuk anorganik dengan pupuk herbal organik yaitu 100%+0% (T0); 80%+20% (T1); 60%+40% (T2); (T3) 40%+60% (T3);20%+80% (T4); 0%+100% (T5). Parameter yang diamati yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah bunga, jumlah buah dan berat buah segar. Data diolah dengan analisis ragam (Uji F) dan uji lanjut denganBeda Nyata Terkecil (BNT).Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa substitusi pupuk pada perlakuan T3(40% pupuk anorganik + 60% pupuk herbal organik) dapat menghasilkan jumlah daun, jumlah bunga, jumlah buah dan berat segar buah tomat lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan perlakuan lainnya. Namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman. Kata kunci: tomat varietas permata, pupuk herbal organik, dosis

Abstract

Problems in the cultivation of plants pakchoy caused by the influence of the physical environment such as climate, wind, temperature, the intensity of solar radiation, humidity, and soil. The research aims to know types of mulch and patterns of the plant spacing for optimizing on growth and yield of pakchoy. This experiment had been conducted in the experimental field Margahayu, Balai Penelitian Tanaman Sayuran, Lembang on September-November 2016. The design of the research which used was randomized block design factorial with 9 treatment combinations and 3 replications. The first factor is “Types of Mulch”, the use of M0 (no mulch), M1 (black silver plastic mulch), and M2 (rice straw mulch). The second factor is “The Plant Spacing Patterns”, which are J0 (10x10 cm_triangle), J1 (20x20 cm_square), and J2 (30x30 cm_hexagonal). Data was analyzed with analysis of variance (ANOVA) and continued with Duncan Multiple’s Range Test (DMRT) at α=5%. The result showed that the use of black silver plastic mulch and spacing pattern of 20x20 cm (square) is a combination of the best treatment because it has the fresh weight of the canopy and the fresh weight of the roots of the most highest when compared to treatment with a combination of other, namely fresh weight of canopy 5,02 kg and weight of fresh roots 253,6 g.
