Abstract

The Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, which the Ministry of Education and Culture has launched, a study program is needed that is ready to implement the MBKM program in the curriculum of the study program. For this reason, the MBKM program needs to be disseminated to all state universities and private universities to prepare themselves to implement this government program. Not all universities have the resources to socialize the implementation of MBKM activities in their respective campuses. For this reason, it is necessary to propose Community Service (PKM) activities by the Universitas RiauĀ team for helping the government to socialize the MBKM Program to Private Universities in Riau Province. Especially for universities that are far from the reach of assistance by the central government through the PKM Postgraduate funds of the Universitas Riau. Therefore, this PKM activity chose private partner universities, namely the Indragiri Islamic University (UNISI) in Tembilahan, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province. The PKM Team conducts MBKM activities in the form of counselling at partner universities in Tembilahan. The activity preparation period to activity reporting is carried out for eight weeks. The target of the resulting activity is the implementation of outreach activities and socialization of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) ProgramĀ at UNISI and the documentation of UNISI's MBKM activities through social media and scientific publications.

Abstract

Teluk Latak Village is located in Bengkalis District, Bengkalis Regency. It has two hamlets, namely Langgam Muara Hamlet and Simpang Baru Hamlet. Teluk Latak Village is one of the coastal villages in the west of Bengkalis Island. This village has a flat topography with an area of approximately 23 km2 or about 4.47% of the entire area of Bengkalis District. Teluk Latak village is 14 km from the centre of government in Bengkalis District. Teluk Latak village has agricultural areas, plantations, and livestock. Teluk Latak village produces goats, native chickens and manila ducks. Like coastal areas, Teluk Latak Village is a fishing village. Teluk Latak Village can be developed based on the coastal village's existing social and economic conditions. Abrasion worries the people of Bengkalis, especially for people who live in the north of the island facing the Malacca Strait. This abrasion caused the oil palm plantations and rubber plantations to collapse one by one by the waves. This community service activity aims to assist village officials and the community in mapping the social and economic potential of Teluk Latak Village so that it can be realized as an independent village on the coast of Bengkalis Island. One of the activities is counselling on preventing coastal damage and managing marine fishery products into nutritious snacks consumed by fishers' families who have an excess fish catch. Teluk Latak Village people can develop snacks made from processed fish to improve the household economy. It is hoped that this activity can contribute to village residents and village officials in mapping the potential of Teluk Latak Village in the social and economic fields

Abstract

Higher Education Quality Assurance is a systemic activity to improve the quality of Higher Education in a planned and sustainable manner. Quality assurance in higher education is carried out through the establishment, implementation, evaluation, control, and improvement of Higher Education Standards known as the PDCA cycle. In order to implement the Higher Education Quality Assurance System in tertiary institutions, this community service activity provides training and assistance to private universities in Dumai City in the preparation of university internal quality assurance system (SPMI) documents. The Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs, Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education does not set a policy of one SPMI implementation model for all Universities, but provides inspiration on the implementation of essential things in SPMI that are required by laws and regulations. Therefore, universities are expected to develop an appropriate SPMI pattern for the state of the university itself. However, not all universities have the same understanding of the implementation of SPMI in accordance with the law. One of them was experienced by partners in this community service activity, namely 7 private universities in Dumai City. The Riau University PKM team participated in helping partner universities to assist in the preparation of SPMI documents based on the condition of partner universities through the Riau University Postgraduate PKM funds. The activity preparation period to activity reporting is 8 weeks. The target of the activity that has been produced is the preparation of the SPMI document at one of the partner universities.
