Abstract

The purposes of this research are 1) to know the implementation of extension, 2) to know the role extension agent to increase the empowerment ofcoconut self-supporting farmer. This research used survey method. The samples in this research used purposive sampling method with criteria of land area at least 2 hectares, who has joined in farmer group and has over 7 years of farm experience. Data analysis useddescriptive and Scale Likert's Summated Rating (SLSR).The results showed that the implementation of extension in Simpang Tiga Village didn’t go well. The role of extension included in "Less Role" category, that reflected on dissemination indicator with a score of 2,21. Empowerment included in "Less Powerful" category, where low scores on empowerment variable influenced by institutional indicator with a score of 2,15.   Keywords:Extension agent, empowerment and coconut

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to find out women farmer’s profile in Sei Beluru village, to analyze an income women farmer’s household, to analyze a contribution income women farmer’s from farmer’s and non farms to household income. These research used a survey method with purposive sampling as a sampling technique, the characteristic are women who have job as a farmer as their primary job, women who have been a housewife and still have husband then have their own farm. Respondent total of this research are 41 respondent. The result is, from charateristics, the age of women farmer’s are between 36-60 years old, with junior highschool graduate, and most of women farmer’s experience in farmer’s industry are during 7-34 years. Total average of household income’s women farmer’s are Rp.24.239.091/years that came from primary household and part time income’s husband, wife and child. Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the household income pattern of non-oil palm farmer in Senama Nenek Village Tapung District Kampar Regency, to analyze the structure of household income pattern of non-oil palm farmers in Senama Nenek Village Tapung District Kampar Regency and to determine the condition of the coconut farmer household welfare palm patterns of self-help Senama Nenek Village Tapung District Kampar Regency. This research was conducted in Senama Nenek Village Tapung District Kampar Regency is a district with the largest oil production people in Kampar Regency. This research was conducted by survey method, ie through interviews with palm oil farmers self-patterns. Samples were taken by simple random sampling technique with a number of sample as many as 30 people. Data analysis consisted of analysis of profits / income, income structure analysis, and well-being. The study found that the net income of non-oil palm farmers in Senama Nenek Village Rp 35.815.012 / Land / Year. As for family work income received by farmers was Rp 36.028.345 / Land / Year. Implicit costs consist of depreciation costs Rp 139.329 / year and TKDK Rp 213 333 / year. While the explicit costs consist of costs fertilizer Rp 5.003.870 / year, the cost of pesticides Rp1.008.867 / year and costs TKLK 4.255.367 / year. The structure of non-palm farmers' income consists of income is from agriculture and non-agricultural income. The average number of net income from agriculture earned by oil palm farmers self-patterns of Rp 36.028.345,-. As for non-agricultural income, the average earned by oil palm growers governmental pattern of Rp 2.800.000,-. So that the total income received by farmers is Rp 38.028.345,-. Based on the criteria of basic needs and is measured by indicators of well-being obtained that all smallholders as many as 30 people belonging to prosperous farmers. Abstract

Koperasi Unit Desa (KUD) is the closest and very importantinstitution, because this institution is very useful in the life of the rural economy. One of the co-operative which has the purpose of the welfare of its members, located in Kulim Jaya Village, namely KUD Tani Bahagia. The purpose of the cooperative is to meet the needs of its members.The purpose of this study are: 1). to determine the participation of members of Koperasi Tani Bahagia 2). to know the problems faced by members of Koperasi Tani Bahagia. The method used in this study was a survey method. Data collected include primary and secondary data.Results of the research have shown: 1). The overall participation level of members of the cooperative was categorized as high participation with the score of 3.55. Consisting of: A). The overall participation of members in decision-making activities was categorized in medium level with a score of 3.26. B). Participation of members in the implementation of the overall cooperative activities were classified in the high category with a score of 3.67. C). Participation of members in overall service utilization were classified in the high category with a score of 4.12. D). Participation of members in the overall evaluation classified in the high category with a score of 3.55. While on goal 2). Constraints faced by members were the lack of liveliness, presence, and lack of contributions to the meeting members of the cooperative and the calculation of net income.   Keywords: Level of participation, cooperation and KUD Tani Bahagia

Abstract

Rubber is one of the biggest living people of Riau. Most of the existing rubber plantations in Riau owned by non-farmers, who cultivated only on a small scale, unlike the case with a rubber plantation owned by the government or private parties. Not match results and widely owned by farmers, the government provides one solution to increase the productivity of farmers' production. The purpose of this study was to determine the roles of what is already run by agricultural extension in rubber farming in District XIII Koto Kampar Kampar District. Koto Kampar District XIII with an area of ​​smallholder rubber plantation in 2012 covering an area of ​​14.226 Ha chosen as the study site because it is a district with the largest non-pattern rubber plantation in Kampar regency. This research was conducted in the Village and Village Inscribed Stone Mountain Youngest District XIII Koto Kampar Kampar District. This method uses survey methods and data analysis performed by quantitative descriptive analysis using Likert scale. The results showed that the role of education has been less a role in the activities of non-pattern rubber farming in District XIII Koto Kampar Kampar District. Judging from education, dissemination, facilitation, consultation, supervision, monitoring and evaluation. The average value of the role of education is 2,73 (Self Serve), socialization is 2,62 (Self Serve), facilitated by 2.32 value (less a role), consultation is 2,26 (Less Acting), supervision of 2,38 (Less role) as well as monitoring and evaluation were 1,60 (Very Less role), so that the average overall role of education that 2,32 (Less Contribute).   Keywords: The role ofeducation, empowerment, independent rubberfarmers

Abstract

The purpose of this study are: (1).To determine the implementation of agricultural extension in the village of Bente; (2).To determine the role of education and the empowerment of farmers in the coconut farm self pattern; (3) To analyze the relationship counseling role towards the empowerment of farmers. This research was conducted in the village of Bente District of Mandah Indragiri Hilr. The sampling method used is purposive sampling method with consideration that the location of its extension activities and the active oil production areas. 30 self-help coconut farmers were taken as respondents. Analyzing the validity and reliability of measuring instruments. Analysis of the data to answer the first goal is to use descriptive qualitative, the second destination using a Likert scale. On the third goal using Spearman rank correlation analysis. The results showed: (1).In the implementation of the extension such as the elements of counseling in the village of Bente quite done well. (2). The extension .peran overall quite a role in non-farming activities coconut pattern, consisting of variable education, information dissemination, and consultation is instrumental category and facilitation, supervision, and monitoring and evaluation are in a category quite a role. Empowerment of farmers as a whole has cukub powerless in empowering self-help coconut farmers pattern, consisting of variable human resources, productive economy and institutions are in a category quite helpless. (3). Relationship counseling role towards the empowermentof self-help coconut farmers patterns are at the level of the relationship is strong enough, powerful and significant.   Keywords: Role of extension, Empowerment, Coconut Farmersself-Patterns.

Abstract

This study aims to determine are: (1) the characteristics of livestock enterprises PT. Mitra Anugerah Satwa, 2) a partnership PT. Mitra Anugerah Satwa, 3) plasma levels of satisfaction broiler breeder on PT. Mitra Anugerah Satwa. This type of research is descriptive using quantitative and qualitative data. Data collection is an interview conducted using questionnaires. Analysis of the data used is Costomer satisfaction index and the Importance of performance analysis. The characteristics of livestock enterprises PT. Mitra Anugerah Satwa was from 4000- 7000 scale tail and was using its own enclosure, in partnership with the company for one year, as well as per period income in the range of Rp. 8700000-15000000. Pattern-run partnership is core plasma model contract farming. Where the company became the nucleus and breeder becomes plasma that is closed. This study used seven variables to determine the level of satisfaction plasma farmers. After calculation using the Customer Satisfaction Index Customer Satisfaction Index value obtained was 80.74. If this value is based on the satisfaction index of plasma ranch, then the value of partnerships breeder Customer Satifaction Index plasma reached 0.81 and are in the interval from 0.81 to 1.00 so that it can be said that the overall satisfaction index of plasma farmers for variables tested are the criteria very satisfied. On the Importance analysis of performance analysis variables that have low performance is the quality of the livestock production facilities given company does every period of good quality and at a contract price of livestock production facilities are expensive.   Keywords : Broiler, Contract Farming, Partnership, Satisfaction

Abstract

ABSTRAKSI: Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas belajar dan hasil belajar mahasiswa Jurusan Agribisnis pada matakuliah Penyuluhan dan Komunikasi Pertanian, dengan penerapan metode penemuan terbimbing. Penelitian ini adalah PTK (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas), yang dilakukan pada mahasiswa semester III (Ganjil) dan dilaksanakan selama 4 bulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa aktivitas mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II pada enam indikator, yaitu: tanya-jawab antar mahasiswa; tanya-jawab antara mahasiswa dengan dosen; mengerjakan dan mendiskusikan LKM (Lembar Kerja Majasiswa); mempraktekan langkah-langkah metode penemuan terbimbing; menyajikan hasil kerja kelompok; serta menyimpulkan materi pelajaran bersama-sama dosen. Dalam menerapkan pembelajaran, sebaiknya dosen membuat perencanaan yang matang sehingga pembelajaran berjalan secara sistematis; dan membuat LKM yang lebih variatif. KATA KUNCI: Aktivitas Belajar; Mahasiswa; Dosen; Hasil Belajar; Model Pembelajaran Penemuan Terbimbing. ABSTRACT: “The Use of Guided Discovery Learning Model to Increase Students’ Activity and Learning Outcomes in the Subject of Agricultural Communication and Extension”. This research is to determine the increase in the learning activities and learning outcomes of Agribusiness Department stundents in the subject of Agricultural Communication and Extension, by implementing the guided discovery method. This is CAR (Clasroom Action Research) conduced to the 3rd semester students and was carried out for 4 months. The research results showed that students’ activity increased from the first cycle to the second cycle in six indicators: debriefing between students; debriefing between students and lecturers; working on and discussing student worksheet; practicing the guided steps of discovery model; presenting the results of group work; and drawing a conclusion of subject matter along with the lecturer. Abstract

The study aims to analyze the dynamics of farmer groups Enggal Jaya in the Village Buluh Rampai Districts Seberida District of Indragiri Hulu. This research was conducted in the Village of Buluh Rampai Districts Seberida District of Indragiri Hulu. This research was conducted in the Village of Buluh Rampai Districts Seberida District of Indragiri Hulu. The research was conducted from March 2015 until January 2016 and the methods used in this research is survey method with census sampling. Data analysis was performed using Likert Analysis and Spearman's Test. The results show the internal characteristics of farmers such as age, education level and number of dependents has a strong relationship and significant impact on the dynamics of farmer groups Enggal Jaya. On the external characteristics of farmer extension intensity and the amount of resources have a strong relationship and significant impact on the dynamics of farmer Enggal Jaya.  Keywords : Dynamics, Farmers, Internal, External

Abstract

This research is intended to understand the characteristic of the farmers, stage on the Specially Efforts Corn, Soybean, Paddy(UPSUS PAJALE) at Bunga Raya village. This research was conducted at Bunga Raya village that is located in the Siak Regency. Multi stage sampling was used as the method to choose locations. The samples were gathered using Purposive Sampling method. This research uses 48 farmers data as samples. Data analysis which is used for this research is the descriptive method. The goals were analyzed using Likert Scale. The results of this research shows us the paddy farmers’ internal characteristics at Bunga Raya village such as: the farmers’ productive ages are within the range of 40-46 years, most of the farmers’ are High School graduates, each farmers’ family consists of 4-5 persons, farmers’ experiences are between 17-23 years, the land area that the farmers manage is between 0,5-1ha and the farmers are highly cosmopolitans. The external characteristics of farmers are medium when are evaluated according to the instructors’ intensity, the accuracy of instructors channel, the amount of information sources, the affordability of production facilities price and the availability of production facilities.Keywords:Internal Characteristics, External Characteristics,Specially Efforts Paddy, Corn, Soybean, (UPSUS PAJALE)
