Abstract

Market was an important things in economic especially traditional market, which many vegetable street vendors sell in this market everyday. Every single of them have to pay many cost meanwhile the vegetable which they sell was cheap. The aim of this research to know the profile of the vegetable street vendors in the traditional market of Kemiri, Medan Kota District, Medan City. This research used structured interview methods and in-depth interviews. The number of samples of vegetable street vendors was 10 sample. The results showed that trade income was enough for daily expenses, the education of vegetable street vendors children was fulfilled, all vegetable traders had decent house and all vegetable traders had good health. However, there’s something have to noticed they don’t have of legal certainty in trading, the widespread practiced of illegal levies, there’s absences of training and assistance from the government in trading, and social interaction with neighbors who have never been carried out.Keywords : Vegetable, Street Vendor, Traditional Markets, Social, Economic.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) Know the cost elements of farming; (2) To know the financial feasibility of cocoa farming through analysis of B/C ratio and R/C ratio; (3) to know the cost structure of farming; (4) Analyzing the acceptance and income of cocoa farmers (5) Knowing the cocoa bean marketing system; (6) Knowing the cost, profit, margin and marketing efficiency of each marketing agencies, as well as the large farmer's share obtained by cocoa farmers in Kecamatan Juhar, Karo District.  Determination of location of research conducted by the method of "Purposive Sampling". Sampling conducted by judgment sampling, while the determination of merchant that made the sample was done by snowball sampling method. The research method used in this research is survey method by conducted interviews and observation of fishermen and traders.  The results of this study are 1) The cost of farming cover of labor, fertilizers and pesticides. (2) The result of B/C and R/C ratio is greater than one, so farming can be cultivated because it gives benefits for farmers. (3) The cost of cocoa farming is divided into two, namely: a) Fixed costs and non-fixed costs. The fixed cost (TFC) consists of labor, while the variable cost (VC) consists of fertilizers and pesticides. (4) Average income of cocoa farmers is Rp.13.280.000 per year or equivalent to Rp.1.101.500 per month. (5) Cocoa beans marketing in Juhar Subdistrict there are three types of marketing channels. Marketing channel 1 is Farmers à  Village traders à Sub-district traders à Traders at provincial level. The types of marketing channel II is Farmers à Sub-district traders à Traders at the provincial level. The marketing channel III is Farmers à Village traders à Traders at provincial level. (6) The largest costs, benefits and margins obtained marketing by tipe of one marketing is Rp.2.338; Rp.3.586 dan Rp.5.924 The marketing efficiency is tipe of three marketing yi 4,2%. The bigger the share of the price received by farmers, it can be said that the marketing channel is more efficient. Thus the most efficient marketing channel is the three marketing channels.

Abstract

Clove production in Tolitoli Regency, which is spread across all sub-districts, is a producer of cloves. The role of the Plantation Office in categorizing and mapping which sub-districts produces clove production is in the highest or last category. This study conducted grouping of clove-producing areas using the K-means algorithm clustering method, the K-means algorithm has a sensitive problem in determining the partition number of clusters (k), to determine whether the determined cluster is optimal, clustering evaluation is carried out with the Devies Bouldin Index (DBI). This study resulted in three groups producing the most, medium, and few cloves, the results of the evaluation with 3 clusters were optimal for the Devies Bouldin Index (DBI) of 0.390. It was found that the Districts of Damsel, Dampal Utara, Dondo, Basidondo, Lampasio, Dakopamean, and North Tolitoli were included in Cluster 1 (one), Baolan District, Galang into Cluster 2 (two), and Ogoideide in Cluster 3 (three).

Abstract

The research is aimed at designing a decision-making system for the determination of credit using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Determining the provision of credit is still done manually so it takes a long time for data processing, as well as the assessment made by the leadership in determining the feasibility of the loan is still subjective. The research design used is a structured Unified Modeling Language (UML) that consists of the design of model use case diagrams, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, and class diagrams, while programming languages use PHP, JavaScript, and MySql for database processing. The method used in obtaining results is Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The result of the design of the decision-making system for the determination of credit using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), among others, provides the calculation of the expansion of credit and can provide a credit feasibility report for the customer who has filed.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the role of partnerships in mediating the use of social media and perceived competitive value on the performance of MSMEs. The approach in this research is associative. As for the population in the study, namely MSMEs assisted at PTPN III Nusantara, totaling 100 MSMES business actors who were declared successful in MSMEs development. The sampling technique used was a saturated canoe. So that the sample in this study is 100 MSMES business actors. The data was collected using a questionnaire that was compiled based on each variable indicator item. The data analysis technique used Structural Equation Modeling with Smart PLS. The results showed that the direct use of social media and perceived competitive value and partnerships had a direct effect on the performance of MSMEs at PTPN III Nusantara. Indirectly, only partnerships do not have a role in mediating the use of social media on the performance of MSMEs. However, partnerships have a role in mediating perceived competitive value on the performance of MSMEs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan iklim sekolah dan motivasi berprestasi dengan kebiasaan belajar. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 175 orang siswa/i SMA Methodist I kelas IX dan X tahun pelajaran 2010/2011. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara iklim sekolah dan motivasi berprestasi dengan kebiasaan belajar (Freg = 4,709 dimana p ˂ 0,050). Selain itu, diketahui pula bahwa iklim sekolah dan motivasi berprestasi yang dimiliki siswa Methodist 1 Medan ini dapat membantu terjadinya peningkatan kebiasaan belajar ke arah yang lebih baik. Hal ini diketahui dengan melihat kontribusi iklim sekolah dan motivasi berprestasi memberikan sumbangan sebesar 40,3 % terhadap kebiasaan belajar. Dari hasil ini juga diketahui bahwa masih ada 59,7 % faktor-faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi kebiasaan belajar pada siswa di SMA Methodist 1 Medan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan efikasi diri akademik dan dukungan sosial dengan penyesuaian diri siswa. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa/i kelas VII SMP Swasta Budi Agung Medan yang berjumlah 209  siswa. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dengan jumlah sampel terpilih sebanyak 120 orang. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan skala penyesuaian diri, skala efikasi diri akademik, dan skala dukungan sosial yang dikembangkan berdasarkan teori yang relevan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda. Hasil analisa menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara efikasi diri akademik dan dukungan sosial dengan  penyesuaian diri  pada siswa. Semakin tinggi efikasi diri akademik yang dimiliki siswa dan semakin tinggi dukungan sosial yang diberikan  maka semakin tinggi penyesuaian diri siswa, dan sebaliknya. Selain itu, diketahui pula bahwa siswa SMP Swasta Budi Agung Medan memiliki efikasi diri akademik yang tergolong baik, dukungan sosial yang tergolong baik dan penyesuaian diri yang tergolong baik pula.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi semakin maju dan memberikan banyak kemudahan dalam penggunaan perangkat ataupun alat-alat yang berhubungan langsung dengan kebutuhan hidup manusia. Dengan pemikiran tersebut maka penulis membuat sebuah alat pengendali pintu gerbang menggunakan sinyal bluetooth dari handphone Android dan pengendali pintu garasi menggunakan sensor metal detector berbasis Arduino. Dipenelitian ini menjelaskan pengguna tidak diharuskan turun dari dalam mobil untuk membuka pintugerbang dan garasi,karena melalui sinyal bluetooth dari handphone Android, pengguna sudah dapat membuka dan menutup pintu gerbang garasi secara otomatis dan melalui deteksi dari sensor metal,pintu garasi dapat terbuka dan tertutup otomatis tanpa membebani manusia untuk membuka garasi tersebut.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of beef demand, the factors that affect beef demand and measure and identify the role of the elasticity of factors that affect beef demand. Sampling is done by simple random sampling. The data analysis method used is qualitative (descriptive) and quantitative analysis. The results showed that the demand for beef at the household level in Sei Sikambing B village, the average beef consumption was 2.2 kg / month. Simultaneously the test results show that the variable beef prices, fish prices, chicken meat prices, egg prices, the level of household income, the number of family members, and taste have a real impact on the amount of beef demand at a 95% confidence level. On the price of partial fish, the price of chicken cuts, the level of household income and tastes significantly influence the demand for beef at a 95% confidence level, while the variable beef prices, egg prices, and the number of family members do not significantly influence the demand for beef meat at the level 95% confidence. From the estimation that the determination value (R2) of 67.8% variation of the seven variables can explain the amount of beef demand, while the remaining 32.2% is influenced by other variables. Beef demand is not elastic to changes in beef prices.Keywords: Demand, Elasticity, Price, Beef, Income

Abstract

This study investigated the interaction effect between openness to experience (one of the personality traits) and perception of organizational politics on workplace deviant behaviour. This research was conducted by collecting 263 responses from the civil servants in Pekanbaru, Riau. Applying the latest PLS 3.0 analysis tools the results of this research identified a positive correlation between openness to experience and perception of organization politics to workplace deviant behaviour. The hypothesis of interaction effect is not supported, but the result got the opposite one.
