Abstract

Family is the first and main forum that greatly influences the determination of a family's future. Overall, the family environment is a place and container for the growth and development of children (family members), where the family has a big factor in forming a child's soul and character, therefore it is necessary to create a positive environmental atmosphere by instilling the principles of moral values in life. a child in the family environment carried out by every family member, especially parents. Parents have a very important role in shaping a child's character. As the main role models in children's lives, parents can set good or bad examples in their daily behavior and attitudes. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the type of parenting style applied by parents, describe the parenting style of children's social skills and to describe parents' efforts to improve interactive abilities. This research uses qualitative research, with a case study approach. The form of care provided by parents generally uses permissive parenting methods. Parental parenting styles influence teenagers ' social skills and parents have tried well to handle children who experience problems in socializing.

Abstract

The digital era has introduced new challenges for parents in educating their children, as information technology and social media have a significant influence on children's daily lives. Furthermore, the development of digital technology has had a significant impact on parenting and child-rearing practices. The purpose of this article is to help parents, prospective parents, and educators understand the concept of parenting, with a specific focus on the principles of positive parenting, to address the challenges of parenting in the digital age and ensure that children are shielded from the negative effects of technology. The method used in this study involves a literature review that discusses similar topics under the title. The findings reveal positive principles in parenting that help parents understand appropriate parenting methods for children born in the digital era, thus minimizing the negative impact of technology on children.

Abstract

Social media is an online platform that enables interaction, content sharing and collaboration between users. TikTok is one example of a popular social media platform, particularly in the creation and sharing of short videos. The use of TikTok has both positive and negative impacts on its users. One of the negative impacts of using Tik Tok is the emergence of feelings of insecurity that affect the mental well- being of its users. This study aims to understand the factors that lead to increased feelings of insecurity in university students when they interact with TikTok content. The research method used is qualitative research with a literature review approach. The results showed that insecure feelings can be triggered by failure, social anxiety, perfectionism, and self-comparison with others, especially on social media. It is important to manage these feelings well and develop strategies to improve self-esteem and mental resilience. By understanding the factors that influence feelings of insecurity, we can identify effective intervention strategies to reduce their negative impact and promote college students' mental and emotional well-being. This research highlights the urgency and relevance of understanding the factors that cause insecurity in university students when viewing Tik Tok content. Topics covered include social media, TikTok, content, insecure, factors that cause insecurity by TikTok content, and efforts to overcome insecure feelings in college students

Abstract

Democratic parenting has been the focus of research in child development psychology over the past few decades. The writing of this article uses a literature study method derived from various articles that are in accordance with the title and problems discussed. This article aims to investigate the impact of democratic parenting on children's personality development. The results of this article show that democratic parenting that involves children in decision-making, provides emotional support, and instills democratic values has a positive impact on children's personality development. Children who come from families with democratic parenting tend to show higher levels of trust, good communication skills, and positive social attitudes. In addition, they also tend to have the ability to manage conflict in a healthier way. These findings prove that democratic parenting can positively shape children's personalities and potentially help them become more independent individuals who contribute positively to society.

Abstract

This research is motivated by problems releted to student learning motivation in schools which are influenced by several factors one of which is emotional intelligence. Motivation plays an important role in improving student learning outcomes, if students’ emotional intelligence is low it can cause students’ learning motivation to be low, resulting is various problem such as liking to look at other people’s assignments, chatting daring class huors, leaving class and not following process until the end. The research uses a quatitative approach with correlation research methods, while for sampling technique, the number of samples used in this research was 122 class XI student at SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. The instrument used was a questionnaire with the a Likert scale. The results of the research show a significant value of 0,000 ≤ 0,05 and the calculated r value of 0,660 is in range (0,41-0,70) which is interpreted as being in the category of having a moderate relationship (adequate relatioship) so it can be cancluded that there is a positive relationship. And significant relationship between emtional intelligence and learning motivation of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi.

Abstract

Satu dari banyak perilaku menghancurkan diri yang banyak dijumpai sekarang ialah penyalahgunaan narkoba dilingkungan pelajar. Penyalahgunaan narkoba di sekolah adalah salah satu perilaku menghancurkan diri yang paling umum saat ini. Sekitar 4,8 juta orang di desa dan kota dalam rentang usia 15-64 tahun telah menggunakan narkoba sepanjang tahun 2022–2023, menurut data Badan Narkotika Nasional (BNN). Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode studi literatur, dimana penulis membedah berbagai jurnal sebagai landasan teori. Dalam bidang kesehatan, narkoba adalah senyawa kimia yang mengubah satu atau lebih fungsi organ tubuh. Selanjutnya, zat tersebut menciptakan ketergantungan fisik dan mental, sehingga jika zat tersebut dihentikan penggunaan, akan terjadi gangguan fisik dan mental. Pentingnya peran orang tua dalam menanamkan pendidikan karakter kepada anak sejak usia dini. Agar karakter anak terlahir dilingkungan keluarganya, dalam hal ini dibutuhkan cinta, kelembutan dan kasih sayang dalam membentuk karakter anak tersebut. Pembentukan karakter sejak dini dimulai dari dalam keluarga diteruskan ke lingkungan sekolah dan lingkungan masyarakat.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this service is so that every student is able to have an understanding regarding puberty and can benefit from the material that has been introduced through orientation services. Methodology: The achievements of this activity are reports and documentation of the implementation of orientation services dedicated to the Faculty of Teaching and Education, University of Jambi. Findings: This devotional article discusses the role of counselors through orientation services in providing an understanding of puberty to SMPN 02 Jambi City students. This is done because there are many teenagers who do not understand the developments that occur in the body during puberty and PLK-PLS Guidance and Counseling students at PKBI Jambi Region are moved to carry out these activities. As that student guidance and counseling out the duties of a counselor at school. With orientation services, it is hoped that students’ understanding of puberty will be created.

Abstract

Teenagers are figures who are in a state of high curiosity and are in the phase of searching for their identity. Parents have an important role in how teenagers find their identity and independence. The aim of this literature insight is to understand parenting models to support adolescent identity formation. The results of the literature view show that the parental model that optimizes teenagers' identity is authoritative parenting, patient parenting, parents are considered more democratic in communicating, giving teenagers independence in thinking and acting and investing in things that include their lives and those of the younger generation. as a family education center. The method used in writing this article is Review literature by collecting several journals as sources. The formation of identity and independence is not an individual process but a joint and interdependent process in which adolescents and parents take part. Different parenting styles have different roles in forming a teenager's identity.
