Abstract

Hazardous and Toxic Materials hereinafter abbreviated as B3 are substances, energy, and/or other components which due to their nature, concentration and/or amount, either directly or indirectly, can pollute and/or damage the environment, and/or endanger the environment. health, and the survival of humans and other living things. The Mandau District General Hospital (RSUD) has a bed capacity of 172 beds with a total of 439.991 visits in 2021. With the high number of inpatient beds, it shows the amount of waste generated every day. Waste income at the Mandau District Hospital in 2021 for medical waste amounted to 21,298.5 kg and medical waste for syringes amounted to 7,693.3 kg. It was also found in B3 solid waste management that was not in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry No. 56 of 2015. This research method used a qualitative research design with a phenomenological approach. The results of this study indicate that there are policies and SOPs even though their implementation is not appropriate, human resources are sufficient according to the background of S1 Environmental Health, the use of PPE is still incomplete, there is a reduction process that has been carried out such as recycling jerry cans as a substitute for syringe safe boxes that are not used. has a clear symbol or code, the segregation of waste is not appropriate because the plastic used is only in the form of 2 types, namely infectious and non-infectious, temporary storage is carried out in cold storage where there is an infectious and non-infectious plastic wrapping in the waste which is made into a single bond.

Abstract

Community Based Total Sanitation (STBM) is a government program with the aim that people no longer practice open defecation. Based on data taken from the Public Health Sector, the Health Office of Indragiri Hulu Regency in 2020, which has not yet fully implemented Community Based Total Sanitation (STBM), namely Kuala Cenaku 10%. The purpose of this study was to determine the behavior of open defecation in the working area of the Kuala Cenaku Health Center in 2022. This type of research was quantitative with a cross sectional design. The population of this study is the head of the family or wife in the kelurahan Teluk Sungkai , Pulau Jumat, Pulau Gelang, Kuala Cenaku and Tanjung Sari totaling 2,129 families, with a large sample of 96 respondents. The sampling technique used Proportional Random Sampling. Data analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate. The results of the study found that there was a relationship between mileage (p value = 0.00, POR = 39,531), latrine ownership (p value = 0.00, POR = 2128,000), while the knowledge, attitudes and support of community leaders were not related to behavior. Defecation indiscriminately. Respondents who do not have latrines are 2128 times more at risk of open defecation behavior compared to respondents who have latrines. It is suggested to the responsible for environmental health to empower the community and coordinate with the Health Office or across sectors related to the provision of healthy latrines

Abstract

Hypertension is a major risk factor that leads to cardiovascular disease. Hypertension can be controlled by regulating eating behavior, where the percentage of behavior less consumption of fruits and vegetables is the highest percentage, namely 95.4%. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with eating behavior at risk of hypertension in the elderly in the working area of ​​the Tambang Health Center, Tambang District in 2022. This research method was quantitative with a cross sectional design. The sample of this research is 126 people taken by consecutive sampling technique. The analysis used is univariate and bivariate with chi-square test. The results showed that there was a relationship between age (p = 0.045, OR=2,439 ), gender (p = 0.0026, OR = 2.627 ), attitude (p = 0.019, OR = 2.796 ), knowledge (p = 0.015, OR = 2.851 ) , the role of health workers (p = 0.007, OR = 3.544 ), family support (p = 0.001, OR = 3.544 ) and the unrelated, namely education (p = 0.507) and distance to health facilities (p = 0.379), it can be concluded that factors related to eating behavior at risk of hypertension in the elderly in the work area of ​​the Tambang Health Center, Tambang District in 2022 include, age, gender, attitude, knowledge, role of health workers and family support Suggestions for the elderly are expected to routinely check blood pressure at the nearest posbindu and for health workers to increase the role of health promotion and increase the knowledge of the elderly, especially knowledge about the recommended consumption of hypertension drugs.

Abstract

COVID-19 is an infectious disease that attacks the respiratory tract caused by the corona virus (novel coronavirus). COVID-19 cases in Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province as of January 11, 2022, were 3,432 positive confirmed cases, with 182 deaths. Based on the results of the researchers' first observations that sanitation facilities are not optimal and the application of health protocols has not been implemented. The purpose of this study is to analyze sanitation facilities and the application of health protocols in Pasar Baru, Pangkalan Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency during the 2022 covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this research is analytical qualitative. The informants of this study were 7 peoples using purposive sampling technique. Data collection was done through in-depth interviews and observation. The results of this study are the availability of hand washing facilities that do not meet the requirements, disinfection facilities have not been implemented optimally, generally sellers and buyers have not implemented the use of masks, hand washing with soap has not been applied optimally, physical distancing has not been implemented in Pasar Baru, currently avoiding crowds is not implemented by sellers and buyers, and the implementation of reducing mobility has not been implemented in Pasar Baru. It is hoped that the manager of Pasar Baru will complete the provision of sanitation facilities that are not yet optimal and collaborate regularly with the authorities to conduct raids again regarding the implementation of health protocols in Pasar Baru
