Abstract

Pembangunan pariwisata bahari pada hakikatnya adalah upaya mengembangkan dan memanfaatkan objek serta daya tarik wisata bahari di kawasan pesisir dan lautan, berupa kekayaan alam yang indah, keragaman flora dan fauna dan rekreasi pantai. Didasarkan pada data sekunder dan pengamatan langsung, menunjukkan bahwa di Banggai Kepulauan terdapat potensi wisata bahari yang sangat besar, yaitu adanya daya tarik pantai, pesisir, pulau dan keanekaragaman hayati dibawah laut. Tujuan kajian ini adalah memberikan gambaran kondisi potensi wisata bahari yang terdapat di Banggai Kepulauan dan membuat konsep pengembangan wisata bahari untuk daerah tersebut. Kajian ini juga berupaya menginventarisasi potensi wisata bahari yang ada dengan menyediakan data potensi, baik keseragaman hayati-nonhayati maupun sosial dan budaya sebagai penunjang daya tarik bagi pengembangan wisata bahari. Analisa dilakukan dengan analisis SWOT untuk melihat kekuatan, kelemahan peluang dan ancaman dalam pengembangan wisata bahari tersebut. Dari analisa SWOT yang dilakukan diperoleh bahwa daerah wisata bahari di Banggai Kepulauan dapat dikembangkangan karena mempunyai kekuatan internal yaitu memiliki banyak potensi wisata bahari dan terdapat peluang yaitu adanya jalur transportasi laut yang rutin dan jalur wisata laut yang melewati daerah tresebut.

Abstract

Scylla sp (kepiting bakau) adalah komoditas perikanan yang bernilai ekonomis penting yang dalam kehidupannya membutuhkan pakan sebagai sumber energi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh pemberian dosis pakan ikan Sapu sapu (Pterygoplichthys spp) yang berbeda pada penggemukan kepiting bakau (Scylla sp). Peneltian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Lapang dan Tambak Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) Makassar, Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan yang dilaksanakan dari bulan September sampai dengan bulan Oktober 2021. Penelitian terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan yakni: Perlakuan A (dosis pakan ikan Sapu sapu 5%), B (10%), C (15%), dan D (20%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sintasan 84%, pertumbuhan bobot bobot mutlak 21,8 g, SGR 1,280 g dan Perubahan kimia tubuh tertinggi 67,89 g diperoleh pada perlakuan D (dosis 20%).

Abstract

Propeller kapal nelayan umumnya terbuat dari aluminium yang mudah mengalami kerusakan pada saat dihantam batu karang, ombak dan mengalami korosi. Maka dilakukan pengembangan dengan penambahan kuningan (Cu-Zn) terhadap material propeller ADC 12. Spesimen berhasil dibuat dengan penambahan 30% Cu-Zn pada ADC 12 dengan menggunakan metode pengecoran yang dilanjutkan pencetakan dengan metode die dan sand casting. Spesimen ADC 12 dan paduan ADC 12+CuZn diuji tarik dan impak sesuai standard ASTM E8 dan ASTM E23 untuk mengetahui perubahan sifat mekanik material tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian tarik diperoleh bahwa adanya unsur Cu-Zn menurunkan kekuatan tarik ADC 12 (141 MPa) dan paduan ADC 12+CuZn (55,1 Mpa). Hasil pengujian kekuatan impact menunjukkan tingkat kekuatan impact kekerasan rata-rata ADC 12 (15,61 joule) dan paduan ADC 12+CuZn (15,98 joule).

Abstract

Processed salted fish products are still aimed at extending shelf life and have not considered the need for sensory, chemical and microbiological quality. The final quality of salted fish processing is very diverse, depending on the amount of salt used. Gulamah fish (Pseudocienna amovensis) is one of the abundant types of fish and is the main raw material for salted fish processing in Tangerang Regency. This study used a salt content of 10%, 15%, 20% and 25%. Sensory assessment using 30 panelists. The method of analysis used the Kruskal Wallis test. The results of sensory analysis with the addition of 10%, 15%, 20% and 25% salt content, gave the appearance value of 6.9; 7.7; 8.6; 8.1, smell 7.7; 8.4; 8.7; 7.5, and textures 7.1; 7.5; 8.1; and 8.5. The results showed that the amount of salt had a significant effect on appearance, taste and texture, but had no effect on odor. The results showed that increasing salt content could increase the sensory value of salted fish.

Abstract

Work intensity measures how much to do an activity that uses a measurement scale. The intensity of work in doing a lot of work causes the crew to become tired, reduces performance and concentration, and affects the crew's safety. Fatigue and reduced concentration at work have the potential to cause work accidents. The work intensity of the crew on the operation of purse seine fishing gear is influenced by the stages of work activity. The stages of this activity consist of primary and secondary activities. The purpose of this research is to find out the work intensity of crew activities on the operation of purse seine fishing gear in the waters of the Malacca Strait (WPP 571). The method used is hierarchical task analysis. The high intensity of work on purse seine vessels is when carrying out fishing operations. The fishing is in the 5th stage, namely hauling or lifting the net. Using purse seine gear, work on fishing vessels has 56 primary and seven secondary activities. The total work intensity (IKT) on the purse seine operation is 2501 OA (activity person), the high work intensity and rest time on the purse seine ship still meet the STCW Manila amendment.

Abstract

Saponins are compounds derived from plants that are currently widely used in aquaculture for aquatic pest control. In this study, potential saponin components extracted from fish poison tree (Barringtonia asiatica), which is widely dispersed in tropical areas worldwide, were characterized. Saponin properties were obtained from seeds and leaves by extraction and spectrophotometric methods. To test its properties, four different concentrations of saponin extracts, namely 10 ppm, 20 ppm, 30 ppm, and 40 ppm, were applied in four trials containing 20 tilapias each. An unexpected result was obtained and proved that the saponins extracted from the seeds of the fish poison tree proved to be significantly more effective than the saponins extracted from the peel of its fruit to eradicate pest in pond. The results also revealed that the lethal dose of saponins reached higher level at a concentration of 40 ppm. It can be concluded that fish poison tree as a poisonous tree plays an important role in ensuring the sustainability of saponin stocks. The use of natural materials such as fish poison tree as a biopesticide has the potential to minimize environmental damage and reduce costs for aquaculture.

Abstract

Flying fish yellow wing (Cheilopogon abei Parin, 1996) is one of the flying fish species that have important economic value in West Sulawesi. This study aims to examine the lengthweight relationship and condition factors of flying fish yellow wing to provide basic data for sustainable management efforts. This research was carried out from October 2021 to March 2022. A Sampling of fish was carried out in Mosso Village, Majene Regency, West Sulawesi Province. Sample analysis was carried out at the Integrated Laboratory of the Department of Fisheries, University of West Sulawesi. The total length was measured using a digital caliper with an accuracy of 0.01 mm and the bodyweight of the sample fish was measured using a digital scale with an accuracy of 0.01 g. The results of data collection obtained as many as 104 fish samples, consisting of 59 male fish and 45 female fish. The results of the analysis of the length-weight relationship of the flying fish yellow wing obtained the equation W=0,056L2,556 in the male fish, W=0.0492L2,589 in the female fish, and the combined equation W=0.0003L2.8846. Furthermore, the results of the t-test on fish with a value of b obtained a t count > t table, so that the flying fish’s yellow wing belongs to the negative allometric (minor) growth type where the increase in body length is faster than the increase in body weight. Differences in gonadal maturity, and the availability of different food every month are the main factors causing the negative allometric growth pattern of flying fish in Majene waters. Condition factor male flying fish yellow wing ranged from 0.8712 to 1.2006 with an average of 1.0015 and the female yellow wing flying fish ranged from 0.8528 to 1.1657 with an average of 1.0046. The condition factor of female fish is higher than that of male fish

Abstract

Since each refrigerant has different vaporization and condensation temperature and pressure, the capacity and working conditions of each system depend on the type of refrigerant used. The criteria for a suitable refrigerant for a refrigeration system are determined by its thermodynamic, chemical, and other factors. This research aims to analyze the capacity and scope of work of refrigerator components that use R-22 refrigerant to be replaced with HCR-22 in a 1.7 TR refrigeration fish refrigerator without having to replace components. This research was carried out from December to March, on a regular fishing vessel, Alalunga Vessel. The research was conducted by reviewing and analyzing the application of refrigerant HCR-22 and R-22 in the refrigerator unit. The results of the analysis of the capacity and scope of work of the components show that HCR-22 refrigerant has a higher advantage than R-22. These high advantages have a positive reaction to the refrigeration effect and refrigerant workload, which include an increase in heat absorption capability, a decrease in compressor and electric motor energy, a decrease in the compression ratio, an increase in the compressor coefficient achievement.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui unit penangkapan bagan apung, komposisi hasil tangkapan, dan faktor teknis yang mempengaruhi hasil tangkapan. Penelitian dilaksanakan dari Januari – Februari 2022 di Desa Lamuru Kecamatan Tellu Siattinge, Kabupaten Bone. Metode pengambilan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode sensus. Data pada penelitian ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif dan statistik. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa unit penangkapan bagan cungkil terdiri dari 4 (empat) bagian yaitu armada penangkapan atau kapal, alat tangkap, alat bantu penangkapan dan nelayan. Komposisi hasil tangkapan pada bagan cungkil selama penelitian yaitu ikan teri, ikan tembang, ikan peperek, ikan layang dan cumi-cumi. Hasil analisis statistic didapatkan persamaan regresi linear berganda Y = -604,632 + 0,171X1 + 112,527X2 + (-14,148)X3 + 47,209X4 + 61,420X5 + Ɛ yang menunjukkan bahwa faktor jumlah daya pecahayaan lampu yang digunakan (X1), ukuran kapal (X2), kapasitas mesin derek di kapal (X4) dan pengalaman nakhoda (X5) berpengaruh positif terhadap jumlah total hasil tangkapan (Y) sedangkan faktor luasan jaring yang digunakan (X3) berpengaruh negatif terhadap jumlah total hasil tangkapan (Y).

Abstract

Pengembangan suatu kawasan wisata tidak lepas dari masyarakat yang ada disekitar kawasan tersebut. Masyarakat harus partisipatif untuk dapat mengembangkan kawasan menjadi destinasi yang mampu menarik nilai ekonomi. Penelitian ini merupakan kajian persepsi dan partisipatif masyarakat terhadap rencana pengembangan wisata bahari di Pulau Um. Data diperoleh dan diolah dalam bentuk tabel dan grafik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan indikator pertama, persepsi masyarakat untuk mengembangkan objek wisata dan atraksi wisata senilai 5,88 yang berarti secara umum responden setuju untuk mengembangkan wisata dan atraksi wisata. Indikator kedua persepsi masyarakat untuk mengembangkan fasilitas wisata bahari dengan nilai 6,10 yang berarti masyarakat setuju dengan pengembangan fasilitas wisata bahari. Indikator ketiga terkait persepsi masyarakat terkait pengembangan aksebilitas wisata bahari diperoleh nilai 6,12 yang berarti responden setuju terhadap pengembangan aksebilitas wisata bahari. Partisipasi masyarakat berdasarkan jenis kelamin didominasi oleh Wanita. Partisipatif berdasarkan usia didominasi oleh rentang usia 41-50. Partisipasi berdasarkan pendidikan didominsi oleh tamatan sarjana. Selanjutnya pada kategori pekerjaan partisipasi didominasi oleh kelompok pedagang.
